We just got back from a vacation in Croatia and finally decided to try this Croatian restaurant in New Rochelle - we had always known about it but never visited since we weren’t familiar with Croatian cuisine. After falling in love with the food during our trip, we knew it was time. And we’re so glad we did! The lamb and fish were outstanding - almost like being back in Croatia. And the sourdough bread… OMG! Absolutely delicious!

Perfect experience. To start of, it has convenient valet parking. Very pleasant outdoor sitting area, that even though was busy it was not too loud. We were tended to by a lovely young waiter that was very knowlegeable of the menu and offered great suggestions. The food was well served in terms of portions and it was absolutely delicious. Price is a little high, but seems adequate for the quality of food and service provided.

True Mediterranean experience the moment you step inside. The interior is like stepping into a restaurant on the Mediterranean coast un Europe. The staff were attentive, professional and knowledgeable. The appetizers, bread, main course, drinks, dessert and coffee were all wonderful. I have had the pork chop and salmon which were delicious and cooked to perfection. A great restaurant to visit over and over again. A note, they serve olive oil which the owner makes from olives he grows in Croatia, it is exquisite. I liked it so much I bought 2 bottles.

I went out to lunch here with my parents. The food was amazing, and the portions were so big that I took home enough for a whole other meal. The restaurant itself was also beautiful. Very classy with great natural lighting. We sat in the front room and we didn't even realize until the end that they have a gorgeous outdoor patio and deck in the back. This is going to be our new favorite restaurant when my parents visit!

Had my small wedding reception here and what a lovely place hidden in New Rochelle. You would never think this piece of paradise would be located in the area. We were very well accommodated and Toni took the best care of me, my husband and our guests. All staff members were so nice and made us feel welcomed, guided us downstairs to the outside area where we took pictures and even took a group picture of us. The sunset view on the outside area is just wonderful. Drinks were on the spot, delicious and refreshing and the food presentation and seasoning was excellent. I had the Branzino and that was the first time I had fish that good in a while. We will definitely be back.

We had such a great experience here. The food was delicious, and everything we ordered was excellent. The service was just as impressive: friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly taken care of. We really appreciated the care and attention from the staff. Our whole group left happy. I highly recommend it!

Had reservations for a Tuesday evening dinner, chose to eat outside on their back terrace. The food was pretty good. I wasn’t a fan of the spread that came with the complimentary bread, but my friend liked it. This was the second restaurant this week where a complimentary spread is brought to the table but no one tells you what it is…so my best guess is that this was a chickpea concoction?! The appetizer (my friend and I shared the grilled octopus) was the best part of my meal: the octopus was perfectly cooked, so tender and juicy! I even loved the salad it was served on top of, dressed with a simple oil and maybe vinegar dressing! I had the veal ragout with the homemade gnocchi, the gnocchi were perfectly little fluffy pillows and the veal was tasty. My friend had the seafood risotto special, I thought it was good but a bit too salty and the shrimp I tried was over cooked. We shared the Dubrovnik chocolate cake and I thought it was pretty good overall. Enjoyed having dinner here and I’m glad I tried out this place, it’s been on my list of places to try for a while now after a friend recommended it!

First time here. Parking was no problem. We were seated right away.. Anyway I heard so much about their calamari. But I never had it before. The waiter was nice enough to bring me a slice to try. That is service. Bread came out. Definitely baked in house, with a chickpea and pepper dip, hummus, and olive oil We ordered the calamari appetizer. Omg was it good The steak was cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes was amazing. Those potatoes were amazing. The lamb was tender and trimmed. Not a fan of broccoli though. I will definitely be back. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS restaurant

My wife and I had a terrific dining experience with our friends at Dubrovnik last night. We were greeted and seated promptly and the decor and atmosphere was terrific. For appetizers we had grilled shrimp and octopus a special Dubrovnik Salad and some roasted figs with Prosciuuto. Main courses included monk fish with clams and mussels rib eye and filet mignon and branzino filleted at the table. Dessert we shared the Dubrovnik chocolate cake and espresso. Everything was delicious. We had plenty of time to sit and chat and we were also given a tour of the garden area and private dining area in the wine cellar by the owner. Wonderful experience and we will be back. Thank u Dubrovnik.

I had such a wonderful time here and will definitely be coming back to try more of their food! It was my first time having Croatian food and I really enjoyed all the flavors. The servers were also very kind and accommodating which made my date night here even better. I was a bit cold sitting by the door and they immediately allowed me to move to another table away from the wind. I've been eyeing this restaurant for a while and then I saw that they were participating in the Hudson Valley Restaurant Week. For their dinner menu, it was 3 courses for just $45 but my partner and I wanted to try more items from their menu. They gave us bread with a chickpea spread and their own homemade olive oil which was delicious. We started with their oysters and grilled vegetables to start, which were delicious. I loved how the puréed eggplant tasted and my favorite was probably the grilled pepper. I went with the Skradin Veal Risotto and it was delicious. I kept wanting to eat more of it. They have another type of risotto that I'm definitely going to try on my next visit. Then I had the Pasta "Morski Plodovi" which had clams, shrimp and cavatelli. The sauce was addicting and the bits of shrimp in there really brightened up the whole dish. I'm a big fan of seafood and this place absolutely nailed it in my opinion. For dessert, I chose the Kremšnita which was a puff pastry with vanilla custard. I loved the flakiness of the puff and it was just the perfect end to the meal. My only regret is eating more food before my meal because I had gotten really full here but next time I'll be coming with an empty stomach ready to eat through the menu!

Came here with some high expectations for the first time. We were warmly welcomed and sat at a nice table downstairs. Service was unobtrusive and the food came fast. Room had ok ambiance e with wine wall but loud slide to lower ceilings. Nice art on walls We were served bread with olive oil and a dip I think of garbanzo beans. Ok olive oil The beets and grilled calamari were the appetizer. Beets were delicious with a nice acidity and sprinkled with goat cheese. Delicious. Calamari was accompanied with coleslaw and it worked well! Nice acidity and olive and garlic. Calamari was great although the middle was a little undercooked. Nice large portion. The lobster special was a lobster tail cooked broiled and presented very nicely. It was a little rubbery but it was tasty. The other entree was problematic. I felt like a pork chop and expected a grilled pork chop with nice Brussels sprouts and potatoes. The Brussels sprouts were mushy and lacked flavor. Potatoes were ok. Pork chop was unacceptable - overcooked and doused is a gravy of some sort (I had to put a piece of bread to absorb this mess so I could try eat the pork chop). Unfortunately the pork chop was inedible. It was impossible to cut with a steak knife so I gave up - see pic. Waiter asked how it was as my plate was barely touched. I said no and he asked the manager to come over. He did and of course comped the pork chop and offered a new dish of my choice. By then I was not in the mood for further experimentation and despite his efforts and good nature I just could not accept. Overall this was a poor experience and the food disappointing. People were super nice and I understand that I may have ordered the 'wrong thing'. But if it's on the menu either do it right or take it off the menu Will I return? Maybe for redemption but certainly disappointed.

We enjoyed a lovely evening at Dubrovnik! The restaurant has very warm dining room. We enjoyed the grilled shrimp and vegetables to start. Along with warm bread, their house made olive oil and chicken pea spread. I ordered the filet with mashed potatoes and asparagus! My sister had the pork chop with roasted potatoes! We were too full to order deserts, but the next time I will be sure to save room! Our servers were attentive and very polite! We can't wait for our next visit! Thank you Dubrovnik!

Food was delicious! We sat at the bar (bc it was Mother's Day and we didn't have reservations) and the bartender was awesome! In addition to the appetizer and salad we had a grilled red snapper for two.

Would rate this a solid 'meh'. Food was pretty bad, selection was awful and service was just as poor. I cant recommend this restaurant.

So on a Saturday night- the vibe was vibing! The hostess was super friendly, engaging and welcoming. That was just the beginning. From entry to exit, we had an amazing experience. The specialty cocktails are a definite Yes!! And the food??? Nothing but good things to say - fish is super fresh and the octopus was spectacular. Just go!

Finally had an opportunity to dine at this. restaurant i and loved loved loved it!!! the food was delicious - had the grilled calamari delicious- The veal sausages were divine - the Bronzino is a must have - the service was impeccable. The ambience is so so but you're there to eat - (:-) I will tell you the drinks are also amazing- you will enjoy this experience. You can dine at the bar. I did not have dessert, but it looked delicious and I heard that the crêpes pictured here were amazing.

Place was really good! The basement where we had the party was a bit stinky initially and smelt like seafood. The outside garden area where we had a wedding ceremony, it was beautiful! Such a lovely time. The food was delicious, everything had great flavor.

My partner and I came here for an early dinner on a weekday night, and we were some of the only people in the restaurant. We got great service from our waiter. The presentation of the fish is memorable, and it did make us go for seafood. If you request the fish to be filleted, they'll do it for you right at the table! The cocktail menu was surprisingly robust. The carrot cake was a little disappointing. I'd skip it, especially with as large of a dessert menu as there was.

While the backyard terrace and garden are special, the dining room is also a very warm and sophisticated place to enjoy a meal. On this Saturday we enjoyed a bottle of Croatian white wine, shared cuttlefish risotto, and a wild caught New Zealand red snapper with their delicious potatoes and Swiss chard on the side. The wait staff is always on point, attentive and professional. The restaurant was busy, yet everyone was laughing, relaxed and enjoying their meals. There was a lively bar scene, with plenty of people just enjoying drinks and some having a bite. As we entered we were warmly welcomed as always and on departure we were thanked and wished a nice night. As said in my prior review, this is a refined "white table cloth" experience with a family run, homey feel. Recommend a visit to Dubrovnik.

Excellent food. NYC worthy service. Frankly this restaurant made me feel like we were back in Greece. Food quality was excellent all around. We had bass, lamb, octopus, scallops and a crepe dessert and the chocolate lava cake. Even the beer and wine were excellent. Server was funny and extremely knowledgeable of the menu. Excellent Mediterranean food. Moved a solid but not rushed pace. Opportunities for improvement (and fwiw I'm being very picky): the bread was nothing to write home about, could make a bit more interesting. The iPad menus are overkill. Not really a deterrent but an old school paper menu would be better imho (I am NOT old!). Ambiance is good but if I'm being REALLY picky, it's not quite contemporary. Absolutely none of these things effect my rating and what's important (noise, food, service) was all incredible.

So This review is over due, Stopped in for Lunch while attending sons volleyball tourney and have to say Dubrovnik' is top notch. Will be back. Long Beach NY is not all that far

All the seafood were very fresh, authentic cuisine. Service was above and beyond . Yuri was amazing, we will come back just for him!

We celebrated my wife's 40th here and I have to tell you, this place was worth it. The ambiance is fantastic, akin to a classic bistro. Lighting is adequate. Our host was very friendly and checked on us frequently. We started with the octopus salad which was fantastic. The octopus was very tender and not overcooked at all. 5/5. My wife had the lamb and she said they were fabulous well. 5/5. I originally wanted to order their stake but they were sold out. Our host suggested the Berkshire pork chop and I obliged. It was a good decision. The chop was perfectly cooked, really tender and tasty. 5/5. The desert was good too. 4/5. We would definitely visit again.

My fiancé and I tried Croatian food for the first time here at Dubrovnik last night. We were seated in the patio area and the ambience definitely made it feel like we were dining in the Mediterranean- perfect for an engagement dinner. We ordered a variety of food including: pork chop "Samobor" style, chargrilled Branzino, grilled salmon, and the asparagus risotto. When you order their fish, you can choose between having the fish filleted for you or having the whole fish brought to you. While it does take a good amount of time for the food to be served, the food did taste very fresh and good when it arrived. We both agreed that our favorite dish was the asparagus risotto.

If you love Italian food, you will love Croatian food!' Ivan was the best, thank you so much, exptional service, very nice place., I loved the risotto, I would come back again !!!! The only thing I didn't like it's a lil loud but after a while most of the people left and it was nicer !!

Have dined at this restaurant a few times. Great patio for outdoor dining. Food is good but a bit over priced. As seafood is the star of the menu, it would be a bit kind if the cocktails came down in cost. Go easy on the pocket as the cost does not support the palette !

AMAZING food & AMAZING service!! Our waiter was so attentive, accommodating, and recommending some amazing dishes for our first time here. A little gem of a place in downtown New Rochelle! We sat in the patio as it rained, shielded by the awning, it was so romantic and I felt transported to the Mediterranean with the choice of food and ambiance. We opted for the professional to debone our John Dory- learned a lot! Will definitely return very soon!!

Came with a large group and ordered all the things ;) The grilled vegetables and the cuttlefish risotto to start - and let me start by saying: I'm not one who craves cuttlefish/squid ink foods, but the risotto was simply amazing - we wound up ordering a few of these to share. Also had the Pasta Lopud (with lobster and shrimp), veal ragou (gnocchi and veal), whole grilled fish (I believe it was the snapper), roasted cornish hen, and a platter of sausages (lamb, I believe.) Finished with Palačinke (a crepe filled with ice cream was the one I sampled), the Kremšnita (a puff pastry with vanilla creme) and something else I didn't get a chance to try. All washed down with some good Croatian beer, wine, and cocktails - which they do a great job of making. While we did have the benefit of a native Croatian who was part of our party and led the ordering, the service and food were excellent. It's rare when you order so many things and so many of them are hits - everything was fantastic. But that cuttlefish risotto is really seared into my memory. Valet parking out front was really helpful given it's a busy street.

What an experience. We went there for Valentine's Day and I have to say, their food is top tier. They had a prefixed menu which I ordered the medallions which consisted of elk and venison had a pear wrapped with prosciutto filled with some sort of cream, while my fiancé ordered a rib eye steak with potatoes. Everything was delicious. For appetizers we got the oysters and the pasta that had a duck stuffing. Both meals were delicious and just outright a nice meal. For drinks I got a whiskey and they had a tropical drink that I am blanking out on but they did well with them. Service was top tier. There was a hiccup in the beginning but the friendly atmosphere, the speed, the care and respect was just nice. Felt like a real family restaurant you see in the movies. Would love to come back here again

We ordered the octopus and the anchovies and three of the Wednesday's specials - the branzino for almost half price. The restaurant is practically full ! The food is great as usual and the anchovies are delicious. This is our third dinner here but the fourth visit. Our second visit trip was on February 10 Saturday noon when the restaurant was closed yet the website and writings on the door said they are opened on Saturday. On that day, we weren't the only ones disappointed as there were at least two others who came by and were surprised it was closed.

I saw a number of strange types, just my types who could broker some interesting transfers across war torn zones, that I decided to drop in. It was promising inside. Older men, hot young felines, and a loud bar with no noise reduction. Perfect for clandestine conversations. Ordered the stuffed chicken, and there must have been a lot of stuffing to do. Because an hour later it showed up. And as was said in The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz, "Gee, the fish was wonderful...", "It was chicken!" Exactly. These hockey pucks were probably at Costco earlier today. The rotisserie chicken there is more succulent and moist!! But the bartender knowing you needed a chest protector for these hockey pucks was kind enough to offer a glass of wine, dessert and an after dinner drink!

A night out in New Rochelle to celebrate my father's birthday and this restaurant was a great choice. The service was fantastic. Our waiter was very attentive, and funny. The menu was extensive, including several sizes for the fish options. My father got the 2lb Golden Snapper which they filleted it at the table. My dad is a picky guy yet he absolutely destroyed the fish leaving nothing but the fish head on the plate, which I enjoyed. I ordered the Nona's Octopus salad and seared dry sea scallops. Both meals were great and I would definitely go back again.

Literally blew my socks off! I was so impressed with their service and beautiful ambiance. The food is probably the best kept secret in NY! I had the most amazing Halibut cooked to perfection with amazing seasoning. We had a cheese and meat platter and drinks. My cucumber martini was great! I have to say everyone enjoyed their meal. My brother in law had octopus as an appetizer and he kept raving about. He has traveled a bit and enjoyed many great meals abroad! He said this was by far the best he'd ever had. I have to say its a beautiful place and the waiters bring out a variety of fish on a bed of ice to choose from and they cook it fresh. That was also a huge treat. Someone had a pasta dish with vegetables that was amazing. Pasta cooked fresh and my guy had a seafood dish with scallops,, mussels, shrimps, calamari over risotto that he enjoyed! By far a great experience. We did lunch because we heard this place gets packed on evenings. Parking is a challenge so get there early and enjoy a fantastic meal in a gorgeous setting!

Overall a very nice experience. The staff greeting me in croatian made me feel at home, the cuisine was very widespread with many options, and the decorations reminded me of croatia with the terracotta tiles and croatian decorations. I got veal and gnocci as my meal which was very delicious and ice cream for my desert, yum! The restaurant was very clean and well decorated, as was the bathroom. Although the place was a layed out a little weird it wasn't and issue. My visit was very peaceful, the waiters were very attentive and service was quick!

Came here during HV RW with a friend. I've read a number of positive reviews and wanted to check out and support a local business. I've never been to Croatia so I can't judge on how good the food is relative to what you'd find in Croatia. The menu is seafood-centric, however, the crudo that I ordered for the appetizer didn't taste too fresh.. The seafood pasta For my entrée was fantastic and generously portioned. Service was good and overall food was ok. However, it didn't make me feel like I have to come back or that I'd be missing out if I never had a chance to dine here. A 3.5 star experience at best. Note that parking is on the street or via valet parking.

Service was very good. The food came out very quick and the resturaunt was very clean. The food was authentic and it made me feel like I was in Croatia again.

We ate here with my 89 year old mother a few weeks ago. We didn't have reservations. That said, the only table available was outside where it was in the high 80s. It would have been nice to be accommodated in the cooler inside dining room. I don't expect to get special treatment all the time however, seeing an elderly person as one of the guests should ensure a very hot, sunny outdoor experience won't end up with a hospital visit. That said, I'm giving 4 stars because the food was excellent and the service impeccable. First time dining here. We were very happy our meal (especially when the sun set).

was there for lunch last Friday we took the waiters advice and ordered the trio seafood entree with shrimp very tough octopus as well as very tough calamari a little salad and tomatoes and some sort of hummus well it was a whopping $58 just terrible it was almost double of what I thought it would be it was the cheapest fish and as I mentioned very tough but we were being polite and pretended it was all good well it was the first and LAST time there hope it was worth u losing good customers to make an extra $25 smh!!! and btw if by any chance anyone will mention to me to go here I will say do not bother!!

Let's start with the obvious - this place is special! I hadn't the pleasure of experiencing Croatian food prior to Dubrovnik. I sat at the well stocked bar as recommended. And though I'd enjoyed a late lunch I wasn't deterred. Now, growing up with a Jewish mother - I KNOW CHICKEN SOUP.... Well Rest In Peace mom and know Jonny found a source almost (almost) as delicious. A must try dear readers!! Next, see the crisp pear/apple salad and whatever you do order a fish dish. Be bold and go for a whole one! Fish is what it's all about at this place. Service is warm and professional and the outside dining space is transformational. Again, this family owned restaurant is special - a perfect compliment to this urban and edging part of NewRO. Enjoy!

Incredible Croatian food. Mediterranean food with simplicity and high quality ingredients. I loved the charcoal grilled fish. It was perfection. I cannot wait to return to this restaurant. There are still many things on the menu I want to try. A Croatian friend of mine said this restaurant is well known in the country and wondered how I had found it. I found it based on the high reviews and was not disappointed at all. My advice, order a grilled fish dish, and order Croatian wine. Fish swim in wine! Thanks for the wonderful experience.

Delicious, salmon and rice is a favorite. Have hosted birthday parties and regularly order take out. Very good food.

Food and service are excellent but the place can be very loud if they have booked a party so beware of that.

Excellent, high quality food. Staff are very efficient and helpful. A touch on the pricey side. That said, I have never been disappointed with this restaurant.

I love coming to this place for lunch or dinner. Their food is delicious and always made to perfection. The service is top notch and the staff always goes above and beyond to ensure that I'm satisfied with my order. Their seafood pasta is the best pasta I've ever had anywhere. Their cuttlefish risotto is also my favorite appetizer. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves seafood or Mediterranean cuisine. The atmosphere is always great. If you go on a Sunday evening, they even have live music which I really enjoyed. Oh and their garden and terrace are beautiful. This place is truly a gem. Michelin star restaurant!

I will never come to this restaurant again. I was here dining with my colleague during lunch and witnessed the owner of establishment disrespecting a African American delivery man today. Which turned my stomach, the way he spoke to that gentleman was completely outrageous. I would never support a business with a owner that rude, and disrespectful.

Everything was delicious and staff was nice. Didn't feel rushed. the food tasted fresh. I will definitely be returning
