Banh Mi's are a nice, affordable rolled-up meal, but the service is very minimal/nonexistent. Be prepared to wait for a looonnngggggg time. Also, check your receipts!
Customer Service: There's pretty much none. You order at the counter, pay, then go wait outside for an eternity for your order to be finished. One time, I waited one hour to get 4 sandwiches in the blazing sun because there really is not shade in-front of the shop. Some cashiers are nice or at least efficient, but I have had a couple incidents where the cashier is super rude. Typically, the wait is about 30 minutes for 2 small sandwiches.
Parking: There's a parking lot and lots of parking spaces, but this plaza is constantly busy. People also drive quite erratic. One time, I waited for a parking space, and then someone drove the wrong way and took my parking spot. When I told him I had been waiting for that spot, he yelled at me. Just drive slow and stay vigilant of dangerous drivers and unaware pedestrians.
Pricing: Be careful with your receipt because it may not be accurate. They also charge if you use card (under a certain amount), but there's no signage and the cashier didn't mention anything to me. I noticed the charge and asked if I can switch to paying cash instead and she said no. I understand some businesses charge for card because of the transaction fee, but typically they will tell you (I think I was less than 10 cents away from the limit lol). There are also no prices marked on many of the items.
Prices for everything has gone up, and of course it's the same here, although the price of a Banh Mi is quite worth it for a meal. It's pretty affordable and better than McDonald's.
Food: The food is good, although I can't say I taste much of a difference from other Banh Mi places. That said, I'm not a big Banh Mi person. I like to ask for the vegetables/fillings on the side because I can never finish a whole sandwich in one go. I think there are some goodies here, like the Vietnamese honeycomb cake (banh bo), yogurt, and other things. Their baguettes sell out pretty often. No matter how early I go, I can sadly never get a fresh one. It's always been cold of me. Sandwiches come in small (hand length) and large size (about a footlong).
Atmosphere: it is chaotic lol come with patience; there is no seating. You get in line, order, and either you get your stuff then, or you go wait outside. There's a small window where they call out orders.
