Food's not bad! Staff were pretty cool! Took roughly about 11 minutes from ordering to getting our food. Chicken had a very crispy breading for the skin, but inside, it was nice and juicy!

Hi. Checking back in to say that the Duchess is serving up a yummy breakfast and the donuts are immaculate. I got the breakfast chicken sandwich which was HUGE, and lowkey hard to eat, very messy but the flavor is there. My partner got the spicy breakfast burrito and while it was good he did say he wished the ingredients were better mixed. He kept getting mouthfuls of the same thing if ya know what I mean. For these reasons I am giving it a 4 star rating. I am planning on visiting again as they have a big menu, and those donuts are worth it! Shout out to this place! Def stop by if you’re in the area, you’ll definitely get the bang for your buck.

In town for a convention and Googled this place for breakfast. Walked past it the first time. Don’t make a mistake and walk past Duchess without stopping in! Greeted by Danielle with a smile who walked us thru the menu. The Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich is her favorite. They’re known for their chicken. And it’s yummy. Had the Spicy Breakfast Burrito which was loaded with everything. Soo good! Fresh and hot! My partner had the Original Breakfast Burrito and she loved it. She couldn’t eat it all but gladly took the rest home with her. Oh, and the ghost pepper mayo sauce was homemade! Please bottle that stuff and sell it! We also had two donuts and shared them. Boston Cream my all time fav was perfect. And the Horchata Twist. Soft, sweet and donut perfection. The iced drip coffee was also a treat! Everything was just so good, can’t say enough good things about the entire experience.

I stumbled upon this place after trying to find Birdies, only to realize the original restaurant was gone. With no other nearby options, I reluctantly decided to give this one a try—only to discover, after sitting down and seeing the menu, that it was almost identical to Birdies. I later found out it’s probably just a rebrand under a new name. That said, I ended up having one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve had in a while. The fried chicken was incredibly crispy—so much so that it could almost scratch the roof of your mouth—and the combination of seasoning and the veggie-based toppings inside the sandwich was spot on. It took about 15 minutes to prepare, so there’s a bit of a wait after ordering, but it’s totally worth it. This would be a great spot to grab takeout before heading to a game, especially somewhere like Dodger Stadium. I’d definitely come back.

Found this place online before my flight back home and I am definitely going to recommend people stop by if they’re in the area! The two baristas were incredibly hospitable and the food was amazing. I recommend going in early for their breakfast sandwiches and Horchata doughnut!!

I stopped by Duchess for a donut but ended up blown away by their breakfast sandwiches! The sandwich was a monster and the chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy. I could have used a little bit more of the gravy sauce, but it was fantastic. The donuts are also great. Very nice presentation that was light and fluffy biting into it

I always love trying new places in LA and this one was such a pleasant place to try. The employees were super sweet and friendly. They're very quick to help get your order in. The wait was a bit long but because so many people were there for a good reason. The food was great. I got a breakfast burrito, my boyfriend got one of their breakfast sandwiches and same with our friend. It was so good and stuffed with so much goodness that I was afraid I would not be able to finish it. Spoiler: I did because I wanted every single bite of my burrito. Along with that, it was nice seeing staff interacting with the regulars there. It really pleasant to watch and really lets you know how great the place is.

This place is amazing! Service was great, the food was to die for, AND the price is just right! First, the drinks. I got the vanilla chai latte (4.5/5) which is one of the best that I have tried in a while. Perfect amount of spiciness, and the vanilla adds just right amount of sweetness. If you like chai, I highly recommend this place! My bf for the mocha cloud (3.5) which is not my drink of choice but he thought it was pretty good too. We also got a horchata latte (3/5) for the yelp check in and that was just all right. Definitely think the chai is the best one. Next, the food. The chicken sandwich (4/5) tasted great. The bun was great, and the chicken had some heat to it but not too much that it's unbearable. It's also a pretty good size--my boyfriend and I was able to split this since we also got donuts. The donuts were also amazing! The glazed was soft and sweet. It looks like there's not enough glaze but nope it's just right. The Boston crème was amazing. The chocolate glaze was a good balance with the custard in the middle, not too sweet but just enough. I love donuts and this place makes them well. Everyone has to try this place!! You will not regret it.

After a concert at the United Artists Theater, we were looking for a place opened to get good coffee (not a 7/11 quality coffee...) and saw that place... Ended up ordering a chicken sandwich (the original) a glazed donut and two americanos Everything was very good, Chicken sandwich had nice ingredients (not just lettuce or tomato), the chicken was crispy but not dry, good bun also Glazed donut was fresh with a good smell and a good texture and importantly not too sweet (not like these krispy kreme or dunkin donuts that are way way way too sweet) Americano was also very nice, good favor Highly recommend if you are looking for a nice place to get good food or coffee after hours!

Best breakfast sandwich I've ever had in my life. I hate eggs but the flavor was so hidden in this sandwich it was amazing! I ordered the jr breakfast sandwich and it was big imagine the full size lol!!! I got a lemonade to drink. There's a beautiful mural to the side for photo op. I dined in. Open air concept. The name of the staff Nicole is AMAZING! She made the difference in this visit! Highly recommend! Would come again

Amazing food with great pricing. The server at the front was great and helped me picked great options for my first time. The coffee was equally great. Definitely recommend.

Formerly Birdies, still the same great quality, amazing food with tons of flavors, good portion sizes, street parking available outside, very clean restaurant, seating available in a covered area. Friendly staff. And amazing donuts and coffee as well; will return and highly recommend.

While it's not my favorite fried chicken sandwich place, I am giving 5 stars because of the service, portion size, quality, and cost where it hit all the marks! This used to be called Birdies but it's rebranded now with a new owner, but same menu from what I can tell. I was hesitant with the new ownership but glad I gave it a try. I got the spicy chicken sandwich and it was the thickest cut of chicken I have seen on a sandwich yet where I had to unhinge my jaw just to bit through this delicious monstrosity. To add, they used legit Thai chili peppers that added a real heat to the sandwich I loved! The coleslaw was subtle where it added a nice crunch and refreshing bite without overpowering the sandwich in what usually ends up a saucy mess. I would definitely come back and recommend others to give it a try! The guy working was also nice enough to hook it up with a complimentary donut which was delicious! Parking always sucks because it's downtown so I recommend that you pre-order ahead of time, park in the alley way, and grab your food quickly!

Came here for lunch with my colleague upon his suggestion to eat here and it was a great choice. I did not get to eat at their former location but feels like this place is a great spiritual successor. I tried the Duchess Bites combo and the portion was huge, each chicken bite was really big and I was expecting chicken nugget size, also comes with fries. I also tried the horchata donut per suggestion and it was delicious, I want to try other flavors on my next visit. You also get a free iced horchata latte upon checking in. I actually saw the offer after I came back from lunch, and decided to go back after work and latte was delicious. Definitely coming back next time.

Was a wonderful experience here ! food tasted amazing got the chicken bites, with fries and it was delicious along with great service from the girl that was helping me, I think her name was Zoe, great place overall!

The breakfast sandwich was amazing! Every bite was tasty! The chicken was tender and well seasoned, the bacon was crispy, scrambled egg were fluffy, cheddar cheese is good quality, and the bun was soft. The splash of chipotle mayo took this sandwich from an 8 to a solid 10! I haven't had a breakfast sandwich that good in a long time! Chicken is way better than that medium well stuff Birdie's would serve up! I didn't take my own picture of the sandwich because I ate it so fast, but looked very close to the picture I'm posting in this review.

Walked by and thought the vibe was so cute! Decided to try their burrito as I am a huge burrito fan. It's soooo good!!!!! Perfect amount of everything inside, made with care and quality ingredients and their Chipotle mayo is really good. Honorable mention for the horchata latte as well, really good! Perfect proportions. Staff is also great as well

I'm 98% sure it's Birdies but when you go ask them they run around the question. I got the chicken tenders with spicy mayo seems like the recipe hasn't changed if it is Birdie's which I'm positive it is. my girlfriend and I loved the food

Great first impression. Enjoyed the spicy chicken sandwich, a mild heat to it. Lemon pepper wings were good as well, not too lemony. Did you go again? Yeah yeah.Overall would go again. Nashville sandwich and breakfast sando or burrito next on the list for me. Worth a try.

Got the regular chicken sandwich! 'Twas great. They give you a HEAFY and healthy cut of chicken breast. Definitely worth the price. The chicken was so crispy and the batter was nicely seasoned. Coleslaw was rad.

Looked this place up thinking it was called something else but I'm glad I stayed! Easy walking for my he convention center. Chicken was amazing and juicy. Breakfast burrito was also delicious and the donuts! I'm from out of town but if I lived nearby I would come all the time . Couldn't take pictures because I ate to fast haha. I didn't get the ladies name but she as very nice and easy to talk to while I waited. I'm only in town one more day and might have to go again.

Hidden gem. Best breakfast spot by my work. Good coffee, tasty donuts, and bomb chicken breakfast sandwiches. They have a great early bird special too with a small chicken, bacon and egg sandwich, with tots and coffee for $9.

I've been here twice so far and I love it. It's very cute and modern looking and the staff is very sweet. Their horchata coffee is my favorite! Overall I really like this place and looking forward to it becoming one of my usual spots!

a far cry from what birdie's next door used to be. not sure what this place is aside from a self-inflicted shot in the foot by the owners. even the attitudes just aren't the same and there are better breakfast burritos to be found on any given corner within walking distance. i truly wish them success but, sadly, any contribution toward that will no longer be coming from me.
