duck delights

Tried the C10 三排飯three combination and D4 牛肉湯麵the beef noodle soup, both were pretty good. The beef noodle came with sliced braised shank and yellow noodles, which was different from what I usually have but still enjoyable. The roast duck and crispy pork were flavorful and well-prepared.

A little no frills place serving very delicious cantonese style roasted pork-belly, bbq pork, duck and steamed chicken. I had the pork-belly and roasted duck, both of which were generous portions and delicious! only wished the meats were warmer but perfectly cooked! Great value, highly recommend!

Well.... I've had duck, even cooked myself that was MUCH better than this. It came out of their warming case out front. It was luke warm at best and honestly taste like it was rancid. The Pork belly was pretty tasty but I really couldn't enjoy it with the thought in my mind that the other meat was spoiled.. it may not have been, but it sure didn't taste right. People are friendly, restaurant seems pretty dirty too... gave it a try and this one is a NO from me..

The crispy pork belly and roasted duck were amazing! Perfectly seasoned, just the right amount of fat, and cut into perfect sizes. Extremely kind and friendly staff. We try to stop by every time we drive down from Seattle, it’s that good. We’ve been several times now, and have both eaten it immediately and taken it home to eat later. It still tastes great reheated.

A small "hole in the wall" place for some really good takeout food. They have roast duck, bbq pork, roast pork belly, and other items. We ordered some bbq pork, roast pork belly, house shredded chicken, and combo plate of beef tripe, shank, and tendon. Their bbq pork and roast pork belly are excellent, I would say it's the best on the westside. The roast pork belly was perfect and had a nice crunchy texture to it. The shredded chicken was done well, as well as the beef combo. I can just go get the roast pork belly all the time.

Quick counter service takeout spot. Roast duck was flavorful and tender, pork belly was juicy and crisp, and BBQ pork was delicious. The older couple running the place are cute as well! If I lived closer, I would be here every week!

Duck was tender and juicy. The service was overall mediocre and straight forward. The roasted pork belly had really good flavor but it was way too salty.

I stumbled in here through curiosity and all i can say was I was not disappointed, I did ask the owner for a sample of the duck and he was kind enough to do so but also gave me a sample of all the meats which was beyond kind! The duck was so tender and flavorful & The Pork belly was... DELICIOUS & that word doesn't even do it justice. I'm excited to go again and i definitely recommend if you're in the mood for something either classic or new!

So glad to have found this little gem in Bethany! We ordered the roast duck with steamed rice (C1 on the menu) and a half pound of the roast pork belly alone. The roast duck was so good and the skin was nice and crispy with just the right amount of flavor. They gave a good amount of meat and rice, which I loved! I just wish the rice wasn't as hard as it was tho. It also came with baby bok choy which I liked. The roast pork belly had flavor also! They also included a dipping sauce to go with the meats and it complimented both the duck and pork belly. Be forewarned there isn't a place inside to dine in given the size of the shop, but there were a few tables and chairs outside. Just not ideal for the colder season. The staff were friendly and worked on our order really quick, which I appreciated! Also, just by looking at their menu on their back wall and a copy on their counter, the prices have been updated.

First of all, I'd like to thank the previous reviews for letting me know there's no dine in space at Duck House, as they prepared me for my visit. The shop is very small, it only has room for a few customers to place orders. I ordered the C10 - a three item combo with steamed rice, roast duck, pork belly, and BBQ pork. The young staff and the owner were quiet but polite. They packed my bento quickly and the transaction was smooth. Since Duck House is so intimate, it was fun to watch the chef cutting everything up. The bento was a good size and also came with steamed broccoli which I found myself enjoying quite a bit because it was still crunchy and not soggy. All three meats looked and tasted great. They were all tender with crispy roasted skin which was delicious! My only complaint would be the thickness of the meat, as some of them were a little skinny. It could just be random luck that I got the thinner side of the cuts though. Overall, I'm so glad we now have a decent Hong Kong style BBQ spot in the Beaverton area. I will come back for more.

The GOOD - pork belly was nice and CRISPY and the duck was flavorful - the meats were overall very high quality, well cooked, and seasoned - prices were reasonable for what you get - general store area and meat display looked very CLEAN (some other places in Portland don't look nearly as appetizing, or dirty) The MID - stir fry was a little salty for my tastes but still acceptable - exact same noodles were used in both the stir fry and chow mein The BAD - noodles tasted and looked like store bought noodles from US Foods Chef Store (Cash Carry) definitely not hand made - soup was tasteless. Broth was cloudy, bland, and tasted like water. Needs more seasoning. AVOID getting the noodle soups. - not a fan of how they use just regular unseasoned steamed broccoli in their dishes. I was expecting gai lan or bok choy - only limited outdoor seating CONCLUSION Don't dine in here. Don't order the dishes either. Just come for the MEATS and bring them home to add to your dishes. I would come again to JUST order the MEATS!

Overall - Love that there's a bit of southeast Portland in the Hillsboro area but don't expect the taste to be as good. Location - Very friendly to the businesses nearby as it's a few miles off the Bethany exit on HWY 26 with plenty of parking and restaurants nearby. Be aware though, that there is no indoor seating - they have two separate standing tables outside with about 6 bench chairs per table, so it might not be best to eat here when the weather isn't as friendly. There also isn't a public garbage can outside, so after you're done, you'll have to go back inside to throw away your to-go containers in their tiny trash cans. Food/Service - I went with my parents shortly after they opened at 11am and they noticed that the duck tasted a bit old which is most likely from last night. My mom overheard the owner/chief frustrated by the comment but then ended up compensating us with other meat.

One thing that I haven't really found on the west side is a solid Chinese BBQ place, and that's no longer the case! After search of a good BBQ pork through many different Chinese restaurant, this is it! The meat itself has a good ratio of fat and lean meat, the taste is legit, the color looks right, the right kind of rice, with simply broccoli for the side, oh yes! The couple (presumably the owners) seem a bit shy but we're friendly, the food was prepared on the spot. There's no place to sit other than the bar setting outside, but we are happy to take our food home to enjoy. We'll be back for more take outs!

As a Hong Konger who's been living in Portland for quite some time now, I've been starved for some decent Hong Kong style bbq meats. After 28 long years, I am happy to report that I've finally found it! This was hands down, THE BEST roast pork belly and bbq pork Portland has to offer-and yes that includes the plethora of options in SE Portland. It's insane how this unassuming mom and pop shop in Bethany (of all places) can deliver such legit versions of these beloved Hong Kong staples and it doesn't even come close. Lemme tell you more about it: The roast pork belly: SO CRISPY, SO SUCCULENT, AND SO WELL SEASONED. It is so damn hard to find a place that succeeds in achieving either the crisp of the skin, the succulency of the meat or seasoned so perfectly that it's not at all gamey. The meat artisan here managed to deliver all three of these promises and create the perfect product. He absolutely nailed it. The bbq pork: it has the perfect balance of sweet and savory. It's succulent and not at all dry. I've sampled some of the best bbq pork in New York's Chinatown and Richmond, Vancouver BC and this was comparable to the best of em. In short, Duck Delights EASILY takes the crown for best Hong Kong style bbq joint in Portland. I'd highly, highly recommend!

Have been here twice and both times did not disappoint! The first time we came we ordered a pound of the roast pork. Flavor and texture were both on point. The meat also heated up really well the next day which was a plus! The second time we ordered two of the plates-- one was the braised pork plate, and the other was the two meat plate. Both were fantastic! The people at the shop are incredibly nice and were super helpful in choosing. I definitely hope to come back to try the other dishes!

The BBQ pork was one of the best I've had in Portland, each piece was a good balance of char, fat, and tender pork. This is so not like many places where the entire piece is well done with a uniform pink color. Unfortunately, they were out of duck. I agree with another reviewer to skip the noodle soup, as it had no flavor. Stick to the stuff hanging in the window. It's a no frills kinda place.

The newest Chinese restaurant to settle in to this in this ever-changing space. They focus on Cantonese BBQ and are take-out only, although there is outdoor seating. Roast pork 5/5: good flavor--they add a little bit of sauce on the bottom, which is a nice touch. The skin is nice and crispy and light. The pieces were not too fatty. Whole roast duck 4.5/5: good-sized duck with thick meat; not dry. The only complaint is that it wasn't super flavorful, although the accompanying dipping sauce helps with that. If they keep up this quality, they will be my go-to for BBQ meats! I'm so excited to have this new place close to home. I will definitely be back soon to try more of their menu!

I'm Canto, they are Canto... I know Canto roasted meats delicatessens when I try them. They know the blend of spices, maltose sweet, crispy skin roasts. It's LEGIT. Calibrate your expectations... this isn't BC with a ton of competition. However it is fantastic. The duck needs to be accompanied with the sauce however as they could use a higher concentration of the spice rub. For being in the Bethany Bubble... I never thought I'd see the day. This is dangerous... I'll be hitting this often. Be patient, they are a mom & pop shop and do everything on their own. Spend $ there, help them succeed. Lastly understand their specialty... roasted meats... don't expect an incredible bowl of noodle soup... but they have it if you have a craving.

Zero dishes containing DUCK. We called the restaurant and asked which duck dishes they had, and they said, "none". We did not go to the restaurant, as we were LOOKING FOR DUCK. We thought DUCK DELIGHTS was a good option for duck dishes. We were wrong.

Alert: Take out only; no indoor seating! My brother found this place online, so we decided to take my mom for her birthday. My expectation was to have a nice sit down dinner with mom and such, but boy was I wrong. There is ZERO indoor seating, although there are some seating right outside for you to sit - first come first serve. We came here for lunch on a hot day, so it can definitely get a little sweaty. First, order at the counter, pay, and then wait for them to bring out the wrapped up to-go boxes. Also beware: they do not call out names or numbers, they will bring out the to-go boxes based on their memory. With that said, they gave away our 5 boxes of food to another customer who was waiting for their 2 boxes of to-go. Good thing that customer was nice enough to return it to us. I thought price was fair: pricing was based on the combination of meats. 1-meat $13.99, 2-meats (can't remember price for this), or 3-meats $17.99. Braised Ear $15.00. We really liked the roasted pork, then the BBQ pork and duck was not bad either. Although, my brother got ribs as part of the combo meat and he did not like it; mostly bones and barely any meat on it. The ears were a bit oily as well. A recommendation I would like to give: have some type of sauce for the rice to make the meal a little bit more tasty. Meat was good, but could use some sauce on the rice to give it some extra flavors or sauce for the steamed broccoli. Parking is shared amongst other businesses. They take cash or card. Closed on Monday. Go there for lunch as they tends to sell out by evening time.

Tiny little shop, take our only. Tried the duck, roast pork, and braised duck wings and feet combo. The crispy roast pork was amazing...best by far on the west side. The add a bit of honeyed glaze to the marinade, which is unlike what I'm used to but it works really really well. Would come back for the roast pork for sure.

Went to this place again for lunch on Friday, 7/18. Did not disappoint. Actually even better than last time, we went. The roast pork belly has crunchy skin, meat was tender with little fat, BBQ pork very flavorful, roast duck also excellent. I may have caught then with a timely roasted batch. Looks to be more ducks hanging, the roast and BBQ pork had large slab hanging, so not a two day old hang. Chinese BBQ items are all about roast it and sell all that same day--this happens in Hong Kong, so customers get it always fresh the same day. In the U.S. restaurants cannot seem to sell all roasted items the same day, so many restaurants are selling two or more days old meats. Duck Delight may have solved the freshness by having good reviews and customers buying every day. Hope so, and will come back.

We got the chicken gizzards, pig ear, bbq pork and half roast duck to go. 99 ranch has a cheaper roast duck that is marginally better but the bbq pork was quite good. Chicken gizzard and pig ear were decently tasty as well but the I'd recommend the pig ear from dough zone over this one if you're okay with some spice!

OMG! So good! The Pork Belly was cooked to perfection, not too greasy or fatty, but so nice! The Duck was good, but liked the pork dishes best. Chicken was yummy too! Fried rice was about the best I ever had! Going back and trying the rest of the menu ASAP! Nice job guys!

This area has a bunch of small kiosk places much like the hawker stalls in Singapore. This place specializes in Chinese bbq and meats. The meat is flavorful. The noodles are a bit light in flavor for my taste and some hot sauce would be good. Keep in mind there are no place to sit inside but plenty of communal outdoor seating.

This is another place outside of New York that I thought I could relate to the Heinen rice, pork chicken, and duck that I had when I was in Indonesia and it really bring back memory and the flavor and the sauce is so good and whatever they broth that duck is just delicious. The BBQ pork hits well with the sauce drizzled over the rice, which I assume you do. If you lived in Asia or your from Asia, I highly recommend coming here as it'll head home for you and hopefully remind you of it. Great new business has been open since April 2024.

After having their 3 item combo, (pork belly, bbq pork & roast duck), I can say, sadly, that it wasn't duck delight. The bbq pork was outstanding, deliciously moist and flavorful. The pork belly was just roast pork, and it was ok. It didn't have much crunch to it. The duck was dry and not flavorful. It was a big disappointment because I love a good duck and this didn't fit the bill: "Duck Delight". The food came out fast and the lady who ran the cash register was nice. There's only a few seats outside with the outdoor heaters available. My friend and I sat at the next door restaurant's outdoor space, (they were closed), and that was fine.

Duck was pretty good, the braised pork and rice was good, the bbq pork was a bit too sweet and the roasted pork belly was ok. All above average for the Pacific NW but definitely not Hong Kong good, as one previous reviewer wrote. This place looks to be take out only.

The pork has just the right amount of saltiness, and super crispy skin. The duck was delicious as well the chicken feet and trio meat combo tripe tendon and shank was really good, peppery. Definitely coming back and trying more menu items. Always on the lookout for really good Chinese BBQ spots. Customer service was super friendly, and the food came out within 15-20 mins. They also have various stores to check out while you wait.

The food is consistently good here, great portion sizes and pretty fast. I have had the pork belly fried rice and the delicious seasoned pork plate. Both were really good and I almost couldn't keep from eating it all.

Ordered pork belly, side of rice, meat trio, and noodles -- invoice said 4 items,; but was missing noodles and side of rice. We received no order of rice and noodles. Supposedly getting a refund. But... the meat combo- tripe ,shankand tendon was ice cold -- actually 48 degrees. Not In the danger zone- but what ? Was it left over in the refrigerator (tasted dry). Was it heated and chilled ? Sad, I will probably never eat there again. The rice that came with the pork belly was Luke warm. Scary scary.

Same as another review down there, I'm Cantonese, they are Cantonese - and this is the REAL THING. Don't worry about the side dishes that you can get anywhere, what matters here is that you *cannot get this BBQ just anywhere*. The boiled chicken is perfect and when my young son ate it for dinner I could not feel happier that he was excitedly eating exactly the food I grew up on. The roast pork is moist where it's supposed to be, and crispy where it's supposed to be. The char siu was perfectly seasoned, beautiful color, beautiful taste. Meats, rice, greens. Done.

I would recommend getting BBQ PORK and Half/whole Duck! It was amazing. Wait time for bbq pork can be 30+ mins but there's so much around to look and visit to make your time go by. But trust me it is worth the wait a milli times over. I will be back.

The pork belly was really good and flavorful. We got the plate and it was quite a big serving!

Newly opened Chinese restaurant at Bethany and it's a must go! My partner and I were just out for a meal and walked by this restaurant. It looked so good we just had to try!! It's a cute little restaurant right next to wings and bings. The smell of the roasted duck enticed us to come in and check it out. They had a simple paper menu at the counter and picture menu on the exterior of their restaurant. The owners were so welcoming and friendly!! Just felt like home!! So far only takeout is available for this place but they do not skimp out on the portions. The noodle soup was filled to the brim, with the roasted bbq presented so nicely and the fried rice was packed in there as well. Definitely a worth it if you're looking for some authentic Chinese food in the area! Will be back to try the duck

My husband loves their duck and bbq pork plate! Nice big portions with a nice balance of meat, rice, & vegetables. Their meat is not overly fatty either. Service is friendly and fast.

We got half a duck and 1lb or roasted pork belly. Both was really good. Customer service was great. Definitely be back for more.

Yesterday I gave this place a try. The roast pork was good, the barbecue pork & roast duck were below average. The 99 store has much better roast duck & barbecue pork.

Definitely try the bbq pork, I also liked the roast pork. I usually don't eat pork but this was so juicy flavorful and delicious. No need to drive to Canada for good Chinese bbq just come here. The service each times I have been here have been great the women and man was kind. This is a small shop for to go but they're tables in front of the stop to eat if you want to. I ate outside and brought Togo before. I would recommend come trying this place. Can't believe they only recently opened.

I got the bbq pork soup- the bbq pork was excellent. However, the broth and noodles had absolutely no flavor; it was just like it was lukewarm water. I'd go back for the meat with rice but won't be wasting my money on soup.

New little spot at Bethany village that specializes in Roasted Duck and Pork. They offer combo meals that come with rice. Family run business. Owners were super nice. I ordered the duck and roasted pork. Both were super fresh straight out of the oven, and were both delicious!! They sell out a lot, so I'd recommend calling them first before heading there. Highly recommend!!

Got the pork belly rice and duck noodle soup. Pork belly was good but wish they would provide some sort of sauce by default(had to ask for sauce and was told it was for duck).. Duck noodle soup was bland and tasteless. I ended up throwing them away as broth had no flavor and noodles had no flavor as well. It was basically eating flavorless noodles w oily water without any flavor

I thought the BBQ pork was amazing, but disappointed with duck. I thought the duck was very oily, and not that flavorful. i would go back for BBQ pork, but not the duck!

They just opened up last week and I've been twice now! Really good food and proportions and I'll definitely be back for more roasted pork belly.

Awesome Chinese food the pork ears are awesome and their service is amazing. For a starting restaurant their ambience is outstanding.

BBQ pork is the best here! My family also tried the whole duck, beef and tripe combo, and shredded chicken. Overall the other dishes were cooked with great technique, especially the duck. The tripe in the beef and tripe combo is only slightly salty and the shredded chicken too subtle. Service is friendly. I will be a returning customer.
