Friendly staff. Prices are similar to other Duck Donut locations. They are quick with their service and the donuts are always delicious. Be willing to try something new each time you go in!

Duck donuts are fantastic and easy to bring into your life. You can order through Yelp and have delightful donuts of your choice delivered to your house via GrubHub. Ordering was easy. The donuts arrived as expected about 35 minutes later and wow, were they good. I ordered a customized half dozen of my Fall favorites and they were well worth the time and money. I can't even pick a favorite, they were all so delicious. I definitely be a repeat customer. Thanks!

This place was excellent, the employees were very helpful and polite and the doughnuts are the best we have ever had. The prices are very good for the great quality of the food. The only bad thing is that they don't have anywhere to sit at all inside. We sat on the window sills to avoid the 95° heat outside. We have a 1 and 7 year old so somewhere to sit for a little bit inside would have been nice. Their tables are outside without umbrellas. We will be back but maybe just for carryout.

One of my favorite donut shops in the DMV. Donuts are always fresh and made to order and a bit less dense than normal donuts when they're fresh. They have a lot of crazy, fun toppings - but their plain donut is still really good. Their donut ice cream sundae though is my favorite.

First time here , And Ive never had a cake donut before! I couldn’t believe what ive been missing my whole life!. Soft and hot! you can eat them with a fork! Ive only had hard stale chewy bread like donuts before😢These donuts actually fill you up too! Friendly Fast Service as well!.

Just ordered donuts for delivery. The box was not taped to close. And the weight of the donuts are too heavy for the box. Delivery orders should be taped and placed in a bag. Went to grab the donuts from behind the door and the weight of the donuts caused the box to collapse and all donuts fell on the ground outside. Trying to call their listed number - and it says the number could not be completed. Frustrating that delivery orders are not packaged properly and frustrated we have no way of contacting the store

Delicious donuts made to order! You get them hot every time. They have the basics and a lot of fun flavors like the maple syrup bacon donut. It’s more of a cake donut so they are a bit more dense then say a donut from Krispy Kreme. They have a kiosk inside so it’s really easy to customize your order.

I really enjoy unique topping donuts, and Duck Donuts delivers consistently. I used to use the mobile app, but I found that walking in and ordering at the counter is quicker if just grabbing a few. When ordering a dozen or more, online or app ordering ahead is the best option.

I love Duck Donuts. I gave up sweets for the Lenten Season and could not think of any place else to have a sweet and savory snack on a Thursday afternoon. Staff is very friendly, donuts are made to order and are hot, gooey, messy.make sure to got a pile of napkins, and absolutely delicious. Bacon in the sun is my must have.

The one downside is that they close at 7pm -- more than once I've tried to open their locked front door, when I look at my clock and see it's 7:01! Such a bummer. Their donuts are delicious though, and made fresh when you order. We love it here, it's such a special treat. I usually order the coconut donut or a maple donut. Their French toast donut is great too. This location is fun because there's a bunch of other fun restaurants nearby, so you could start with sushi or pizza and end with donuts. The perfect time! (As long as you're there before 7pm...)

I heard so much about duck donuts I was very excited to try it. Donuts are made fresh to order which is a rarity these days I feel. Although I was not overly impressed but it also not disappointed. The flavors were not as powerful as I expected them to be but the texture was great with the slight crunch on the outside and a steamy buttery soft inside.

I've had duck donuts before down south. It's very excited to try this out here. I have my nephews with me and I always think it's fun that they can create their own doughnut. The warm cake like donut with custom yummy toppings. It's a go too place. HOWEVER, I am super peeved that I got charged one whole dollar for one gummy worm. It's a good product.

Never in my long life have I ever left a doughnut to go uneaten... until today. I stopped here on a whim, ordered a Midnight Madness, took two bites, and tossed the rest in the trash. The doughnut was oily. The topping tasted like it contained massive amounts of artificial sweetener. All-in-all, not what I was expecting.

Don't tell me about Krispy Kreme's trash donuts - they are depressing. Duck Donuts are *the* best donuts from a brick and mortar store in the DMV area. Truly outstanding. They come right off the conveyor belt so they're warm (or even hot, depending), and the batter makes for a slightly chewier donut. Very good.

I first tried Duck Donuts several years ago, but I wasn't too impressed. Could've been because I had gotten one with custom toppings and I prefer plain. When National Donut Day came up I gave them another try. This time, I ordered a plain cake donut. I loved it! This is a small location, but they make all the donuts fresh in the shop! You can see them being made, then onto the toppings bar. The staff were helpful and the store was clean. What I liked is that you could get hot, fresh donuts minutes after ordering. They tasted like a good pancake, but slightly heavier. Donuts are a little pricey. A little more than $2, but if once in awhile, it's worth it for a good, hot donut.

For the past couple of years this place has been a consistent, reliable, and most importantly, delicious house for donuts! There are tasty donut places in the Arlington area for sure, and then there is Duck Donuts that sets a different standard one could get used to real quick. Location Head over to the Yorktown area and you'll find it in a very busy plaza. Big thing I have to stress is that it can get squishy in the parking lot especially during rush hours, so if you're gonna snag a donut or a box just come a few minutes early or try to call ahead because they could be busy. The Donuts called "Duck" First of all, expect the unexpected because that's sure what I found out. These donuts are "Made-To-Order" which means freakity-freakity-FRESH!! Honestly, the donuts are still hot when they start getting to work on them and then hand the box to you more fresh than donuts made early in the morning. This is quite the unique experience and not at all something common. My go-to is the "Duck Dozen" which is a special array of their unique pastries all dapered up and made right in front of your eyes. For less than $2 per donut and gourmet-styled, this really can't be beat. Overall Big thing is with other donut shops around, some have become so full of themselves that they think it justifies selling good donuts for $3 and up. This simply is not the case here and is the donut shop for the people lookin' to just satisfy their sweet tooth while feeling like they live in the White House. For being the one for the people and bringing smiles all around the office, I tip my hat to you Duck Donuts, because you keep it real and delicious!

I know many people who LOVE duck donuts but they definitely aren't for everyone. The donuts here are made fresh, you get them while they are still pippin hot, and their flavors are good--so definitely no complaints. However, the donuts here are like cake donuts which I just personally don't love (and didn't realize until I've had them). They are much more dense than normal donuts and they taste sweeter to me so overall they felt much heavier. I'm not into them but for those who like cake donuts, this is probably a great spot for you!

The worst staff. How can you work here and be so angry? No greeting, no thank you, not a single word spoken. Ive had this experience multiple times. Sad, find peace and joy.

The donuts were worth the drive we made to Arlington, plenty of parking, and in a shopping center. I had some type of allergic reaction to one of the chocolate ones, but the others were sooooo good! Some of the others I had were the Bacon in the Sun, Blueberry Pancake, Beach Ball, chocolate covered strawberry (my personal favorite), cinnamon bun, and cookies and cream donuts. Each one more delicious than the last. I downloaded the app and placed a mobile order so that I could just come and pick it up. When I got there, it was ready and warm. I'm excited that there is another one opening in the area pretty soon. Fresh delicious take on donuts. Definitely worth a try :)

Maybe I came on an off day. The shop was empty and no employee was in sight. No problem, I don't mind waiting. The store felt very stuffy, even as the only patron inside. The items sitting out didn't look fresh. The employee who finally offered to help me had her mask beneath her nose. The vibe was not good, and I left without getting anything. It was a shame because I've had Duck Donuts many times and they are delicious! Maple bacon is my favorite, but really they're great to get and share with a crowd so you can try many varieties. I've been to this location several times, and my recent 2021 visit didn't live up to previous occasions. I'll probably order online next time for pickup, especially because on other days the store and this shopping center get extremely busy.

Went searching in my photos for a picture of duck donuts and realized we scarfed them down & I had none, lol. I must confess I am not donut person & typically don't like them because the icing is so sweet & donuts are heavy. That being said, Duck had me at maple bacon glazed donuts! They are divine & I will crave them till the day I die, lol. They have other amazing options too & you can create your own donut by chooses the type of donut, glaze & toppings. Well done, Duck Donuts! Next time I won't miss the photo op!

Love the made-to-order cake donuts! The warm and friendly Asian owner, Johnny, went the extra mile and made a pregnant woman's day a bit sweeter! When I called a quarter of 7 to place a pick-up order as I would arrive a few minutes after the shop closed at 7pm, Johnny stated that the shop would be closed and after expressing my disappointment I hung up. Johnny called me back twice and told me that I could place the order and pick it up a few minutes after 7pm. When I arrived at 7pm on the dot, Johnny greeted me with a beaming smile and my donut was was still surprisingly warm! The cakey cinnamon sugar donut drizzled with nutella was tasty! It was a nice simple combination and not overpowered by toppings. While I enjoyed the cinnamon sugar, it was a bit messy to eat and had to shake out the sugar from the strands of my hair and on my sweater! I'll keep it clean and simple with just the nutella drizzle without the cinnamon sugar - next time!

These warm and made to order doughnuts had me breaking my diet and not regretting a single bit of it. I ordered three custom donuts and one French toast donut that they had on their menu. The custom donut that I specifically had tasted like warm churro and every bite was just heavenly. You don't think much when you see this place or their other locations but duck donuts is the truth

I am not gonna lie: I'm new to this area, I've never had Duck donuts before but years allot about it and when I walked in, I got these vibes based upon people working there and their body language: 1. "Can I help you" is translated to: "What the hell are you doing here" or "I really don't want to be in here." 2. "Oh God do I really have to work right now?" 3: "He has a New Jersey accent. Damn it." (For the record when I said How you doing?, and I know it's the way that we talk, the vibe went from bad to worse.) When I asked questions: 1. "Oh Jesus, why are you asking me questions." 2. "We are closing soon, just get hell out of here. Don't make me work before closing time." Or, I could be wrong about this one but I'm going to take a stab in the dark: Oh god, a __________ person. (I'm not going to say what I am. ) But this is my humble opinion. If you like this place, God bless you. They won't be gaining my business.

Custom made-to-order donuts that are piping hot!!!! Enough said!! Lol. Grab a dozen or half dozen for a slight discount. Who can just eat a single donut? Haha. Every imaginable topping can be had. Favorites include my #1 go to: Maple Bacon (what a perfect combo; drench the donut in Maple frosting, coupled with chunks of bacon; jazz it up with a drizzle of chocolate)!! I'm salivating just thinking about it. Mmmmmmm. Other deelish donuts include: Oreos, S'mores, and peanut butter chocolate (Reese's peanut butter cup)! There are limited edition favors -- such as Nutella -- next time, I hope that it's available. There are seasonal flavors too. Get wild when it comes to mixing it up. Bring your sweet tooth!!

Came here after eating lunch on a Saturday based on curiosity. Here you can create all types of custom doughnuts with add ins like bacon. These doughnuts taste more like cake rather that the traditional doughnut, but overall very tasty. Service was of course quick and polite. I didn't see a lot of seating, but did see a few family's with kids, so definitely a place a family could come as a treat.

I have been hooked to these doughnuts ever since I tried them. I'm a huge fan of that the doughnut is freshly fried and made to order. The price is pretty steep for the size of doughnuts but for the quality, it is worthy of the cost. I personally don't eat many sweets unless it is absolutely delicious and gourmet. These doughnuts are definitely on the top of my list. The dough is a mix between a dough like and cake like texture but leans more cake like. They are supposed to be warm when you eat them as well. I'm a huge fan of the Oreo flavor one!

Gave the wrong address and when I went next door to pick up my order from the neighbor they were still warm! So when they say made to order, no joke they are that fresh. I'm usually a fried donut guy, but these fluffy white cake baked donuts are straight . The donut breakfast sandwiches were great as well.

Duck Donuts are so good, so much better and fresher than what you can get at Dunkin Donuts or Krispie Kreme. I get lots of love from folks at the office when I bring a dozen Duck Donuts--this could become a bad habit, lol. My favorite donut is the cinnamon sugar, almost too hot to hold, eaten at a table right outside the store. I love that with some cold brew. Other good combos: maple bacon with caramel drizzle, blueberry with lemon drizzle, chocolate coconut with hot fudge. The seasonal flavors are fun, too. I tried the orange with vanilla drizzle last time I was there, and it took me right back to my childhood, eating orange cinnamon rolls on Sunday mornings.

Oh my goodness these donuts are incredible. They are sweet and just the right texture, and you can either choose a premade donut or choose which icing and toppings you want! We made our own and I think we ordered two few...which was a good move for our waistlines but a bad move for our hearts. Come here if you're in need of a delicious pick me up!

I love Duck Donuts but, unfortunately, service and communication are lacking at this location. Ok placed an order for delivery at work at 8:30 this morning. It's 10:11 and I just got a message from the delivery driver from Door Dash (who Duck contracts with- the order was placed through the Duck Donuts app) saying that Duck Donuts was just starting to make my order and that they would get it to me when it was done. I've received no communication from the store about the delay. I get that there are staffing shortages all over and that could have impacted this order but had that been communicated to me, I either would have understood or cancelled the order if they couldn't (which they clearly can't) hey it here close to the desired time.

Fresh, hot donuts. I got donuts here for my colleagues. We all love duck donuts. The best one to me is the chocolate glazed with bacon crust. Fast service.

You get to pick what you want on it, and they make them fresh there. I will definitely be back. The bacon on Maple is a must and the lemon with drizzle as well.

I've had my fair share of donuts in my life and I can promise anyone planning to visit this Duck Donuts will be pleased. Duck donuts in general are unlike any other donuts because they make their donuts literally in front of your face and the toppings are up to you with a large assortment of coatings, toppings and drizzles. This specific location is no exception. I did not even need teeth to eat my donuts. The donuts will melt in your mouth. (that's how soft the donuts are) I recommend trying a strawberry coated, graham crumble topping and raspberry drizzle donut.

These donuts are amazing! Quite possibly the best I've tasted! The doughnuts are made fresh to order so don't get excited like me and try to eat them as soon as they hand them to you or you'll burn your fingers. I had two doughnuts and chose chocolate as my base and rainbow sprinkles for the first one and blueberry and Oreo topping for my second one. Both were super delicious although the Oreo topping should be called crumbs because it's was just a powder of crumbs probably making less than half of an actual Oreo. It was busy when I came on a Tuesday morning and there were only two workers trying to take care of a crowd of 30+ people. It was painful to watch. I didn't mind waiting for great doughnuts but watching them try to make doughnuts, mix the batter, coat them, call the order, work the registers, all at once was a mess. It made me want to put on an apron and volunteer since I felt so bad for them. They are actively hiring at the moment though!

Colossal failure to plan for and execute on pre-orders on Fathers Day during COVID. When you are not ready to handle business safely you stop taking orders. You don't endanger your own employees. Or customers. If you're not prepared then you stop. There were 20+ people inside and 10+ outdoors. In that tiny place. The promised pre-order was not available. Failure. We're months into the pandemic. There is no excuse to do this well without endangering the patrons.

Plain and simple, Duck Donuts is the uncontested donut champion in the DMV area. You cannot go wrong with any of their flavors and your family/friends/coworkers will tank you as well.

Amazing donuts now opened stores in DC burbs like Arlington and Montgomery County MD. Duck Donuts famously and originally in Duck, NC, by the Outerbanks, NC are silky and cake like instead of the sugary flour based as DD. My colleague brought a dozen at our staff meeting today and I took the peanut butter flavor with crumbs of nuts on top. Very tasty and while i'm not the donut type I am so happy they have opened a few locations in the DC area because they are really good! If you are going to eat one, this is it! I would like to request that they open one in Loudoun County VA as it will surely be a hit in this up and coming wealthy pockets in this DC suburbs. One location in particular is the Dulles Landing area or Loudoun One could use one. Pardon the pic it always escaped me to take the photo before diving in...but check out other photos the donuts are as appetizing as they look! Thank you!

After seeing so many checkins on my feed, I made the trip here. If you love Krispy Kreme you will leave them for Duck Donuts. Just recently I found out that Dunkin Donuts is not fresh! All their donuts come off a truck! I go in and the place isn't that packed. You fill out a yellow slip of paper. Similar to ordering sushi. You mark how many, type of glaze and toppings or you can go with the daily specials or pre set flavors. My favorite is maple coating with bacon bits. Their conveyor belt isnt that big but you can see them being made. Then it's cooked to order. Fresh warm donuts! Unlike their competitor. The employees are all friendly and helpful. The cashier made great suggestions as well. Its best to eat them warm or if they get cold you can always reheat. Once you sink your teeth it's love at first bite! Outdoor seating is limited. They told me that they are expanding and will have a location in Rockville in March 2016! 5 star service!

The freshly fried doughnuts will be gone in a jiffy. They seem neither cake-like nor heavy-textured. They are just light as can be, and perfectly balanced in sweetness -- not overwhelmingly, sickly sugary. You get to choose a customized glaze which is expertly spread by staff behind the counters. The thin glaze is the perfect accent on this delectable ring of fried dough. I felt that this place gets the sweetness just right, subtly underdone and piqued by the glaze. Go go go. Get a cup of coffee (their dark roast is my preferred, stands up well to doughnuts) and savor the gold-medal perfection of Duck Donuts.

These doughnuts are great, this morning I got a dozen for the office. We had maple bacon, reeses, chocolate mint, cinnamon bun, chocolate frosted and zebra (chocolate, vanilla frosting). These are cake doughnuts that come hot out of the fryer in front of you and you get to watch the staff put icing on. The doughnuts are fantastic and worth a try. The one issue is that the staff gets backed up since they are hand frosting everything in front of you. They're hustling but the demand is too great.

I like duck donuts. They make some very tasty, fresh, warm donuts, which are amazing right out of the fryer. The dough is fluffy and it's fried well, and they taste great even plain. They don't have that many toppings/flavors to choose from but you can mix/match up toppings for a number of combinations. I don't like my donuts overly sweet, so it's nice that you can skip the icing and go just for a little drizzle. Anyway, it's dangerous that these donut spots are expanding all over the place, and this new duck location is down the street from me.

I have to preface this by saying that I did not go here, but my coworker brought in their donuts and they were so so delicious that I had to review! They make their donuts fresh to order. You choose your selection of glazed and flavors and toppings and they fry them and put them together in front of you. The donuts come out warm and fluffy- some of the best donuts I've had. The maple bacon donut is my favorite. They definitely don't skimp on the bacon, which is much appreciated. The sweetness of the glaze and saltiness and crispiness from the bacon is just the perfect combo. Honestly, all their donuts are amazing bc it's so fresh and the dough is perfectly fluffy. Amazing place and will have to get some more soon!

Worst powdered sugar donut ever. Opened up the package of the six donuts I ordered. The powdered sugar donut looks like an old donut with gooey remnants of a scant coating of powdered sugar. Definitely doesn't look like the picture of the powdered sugar donut that shows on the menu. Went in to ask about it and the representative told me that's how they make powdered sugar donuts. Not very good customer service. You'd think she'd offer to remake it so that at least there was powdered sugar on it.

Still love this place. It's a highlight whenever I visit my sister. The donuts are warm and fluffy and melt in your mouth. The glaze is light. The chocolate is thick and gooey. The toppings plentiful.

Detectible cake style donuts with an unlimited combination of glazes, toppings, and drizzles to delight anyone's tastebuds. Donuts were fresh and perfectly warm so that the glaze stuck but did not slide. If you don't have a sweet tooth, however, be warned that these are definitely a sugar bomb. 4-starts only because we have been to the original and the building and atmosphere there is just special. They say they have the best donuts ever and they make them to order .well , they don't lie .they were the lightest cake Donuts I've ever had. a lot of sweet options . However the best one I got was the maple frosting with the bacon oh my god I've heard bald bacon Donuts it's the first time I've had one and it was awesome . I would do it again kind of pricey but worth it. Going in you order individual or you fill out a form kind of like pizza or sandwich orders you do good to go online and look and see what they've got before you go in and be prepared I was there in my RV and there were already people waiting outside at 6 a.m. when they opened

I've been on the hunt for the best doughnuts in the DMV and Duck Donuts ALMOST did it for me. I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and the place was empty, good thing since I don't think I would've been able to experience the whole Duck Donut experience if i was being rushed. I was able to carefully select my donuts and even watch the worker begin the donut making machine - yes I was extremely impressed. After the fresh donuts were ready to be crafted, I watched as the worker paint each donut with toppings beautifully. The doughnuts are more of a cake-like consistency, but it went well with the flavors of the toppings. The toppings are EXTREMELY SUGARY AND SWEET. like talk about explosion of sugar in your mouth. And I found that the more exotic the donut (s'mores & Oreo) the less I enjoyed it. My favorite donuts ended up being the lemon & raspberry and of course the maple & bacon. At a price of $1.35 per donut and 1/2 a dozen for about $7, I could not have asked for better donuts. I do agree that the workers should lighten up a bit though, my group was literally the only ones there and hello? We can see every single thing you're doing when you're either taking the order or decorating it. You're decorating a donut!!! The least you could do is do it with a smile or some excitement. I know it's probably SUPER stressful since the donuts are made-to-order, but your job does not have to be miserable. This donut loving girl will definitely be back for more!

They have the best cake textured donuts I've ever had. I got a donut sundae with vanilla ice cream topped with coconut bits and it was amazing. I honestly don't have anything bad to say about this place because it's so unique and they try to fulfill orders to your exact liking. So many toppings and flavors to choose from!
