Duck Donuts

I’ve been to Duck Donuts in other locations before, but I was excited when one opened near my house in Ashburn—and it did not disappoint. This location was great! I love being able to customize donuts with different toppings and watching them made fresh. Everything was delicious, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. So happy to have a Duck Donuts close by now—will definitely be back! 🍩

A great experience! We did a take out order right at the counter/in-store today (around 3pm). Donuts were prepared quickly and looking great. The employee reviewed the donuts with me after it was made to make sure everything was well done. I ordered a latte (vanilla) and it was delicious! Fresh espresso and hot milk. Definitely get a latte if you can. Ordering was easy, they had plenty of menu options and service was great! The employee was patient, kind, and very knowledgeable in his craft. He made it very easy to order and receive my food. We ordered (in the photo) 2 strawberry shortcake with marshmallow cream (yes! You can further customize your selections. I found that so great!), 2 chocolate with sprinkles, and 2 glazed donuts. Definitely looking forward to another visit soon.

Of course I had to stop by Duck Donuts on National Doughnut Day. This is the first time I’ve been to this location. They had a friendly and patient staff, even though the line was out the door. Their donuts were made to order (fresh). Cookie butter was my favorite.

I have passed by this Duck Donuts many times, but never stopped by until recently. Although I'm not big into cake donuts, I love that they are fresh and made-to-order. I'm not sure if each location is different or if this is a newer addition since my last visit (~10 years ago), but they have boxes of donuts for sale with select flavors (party box, breakfast box, signature assortment, etc.). I also didn't realize they have SO MANY flavor options available now! We ordered a chocolate sprinkled and a glazed donut. It wasn't until we sat down that we saw the poster for the seasonal flavors....wishing we ordered those! Either way, our donuts were delicious. We came on a weekday afternoon, so it was empty which was nice. The staff weren't overly inviting or friendly, but were nice. There are a variety of rubber ducks on display, available for purchase, $1.85. They also have a lot of merchandise available for purchase. There is plenty of parking in front, shared by other businesses.

It only takes one mess-up. I ordered donuts online, on Sunday, for pick up on Tuesday at 8:30 am. I did this once before and the donuts were ready for pick up when I arrive. Awesome. Not this recent time. I walked in and the worker didn't even hear that I was inside. I had to say something for him to notice that someone was in the shop. He was "busy" on his phone. SMH. Furthermore, the donut order that I placed on Sunday wasn't even ready. The receipt was still on the machine. He said it just came in. Yeah, right. I waited for about 25 minutes for my online order of a dozen donuts to be made in front of me. I don't think I'll be heading over there for any donuts. It only took one mess up :/

Scheduled an 8am pickup for a dozen donuts two days ahead of time. Got there at 7:55am and they hadn’t even started the order, but they weren’t very busy. While I was waiting, they then got a call for 5 dozen donuts and that became a priority. I didn’t get my pre-ordered dozen donuts until 8:20am. Good donuts but service definitely lacking.

It's one thing to eat donuts, it's an experience to watch it get made, then dressed per your order. Fresh and tasty.

My son, who never wants breakfast mentioned Friday night he wanted donuts for breakfast! So of course I had to get some Saturday morning. Since this was so rare, I wanted to get donuts that we don't have normally. I thought about driving all the way to Arlington's Heidelberg Bakery, best donuts in NOVA! It's pretty far so I checked Yelp. Duck Donuts was close by and having been to one before decided to order from there. I ordered online. The variety was overwhelming! With so many options I decided to the best option was to order 2 dozen. They have several options with preset options. I went with the seasonal one and the fan favorite. I had some challenges with the mobile payment and almost gave up. I hate forms that don't allow me to use stored information or even copy and paste. To avoid the same hassle, know you have to manually type in your information, I didn't eat at the store, but they didn't have much seating, I think most people order to go, like me. I arrived a few minutes early, and they were still filling my order as each donut is topped by hand. One of the two boxes was filled by a new employee. it took them an extra few minutes to fill. Once I got home we dug in, a few donut flavors overlapped, for the rest we cut them in half. The consensus, after we all had our fill, was that the donuts were good, but not great. My son's opinion was "too much toppings" I had to agree! In fact, while eating my half of the maple bacon donut, I said, "I can't believe these words are about to leave my mouth but... there is too much bacon!" I didn't think that was possible! While we all enjoyed them, next time I want to get special donuts, I will trek to Arlington!

The ambiance of Duck Donuts is perky. The donuts are great. The service was fast and good.

The new donuts holes are delicious. I picked some up when I got my dozen. I ordered the cinnamon sugar with the dip. So delicious. I think I paid five buck!

I went there for a coffee and the lady behind the counter didn't even asked me if I need help or anything. I couldn't order anything from their kiosk thing they have so she wanted me to wait for a while , while she finished with her customers who had placed a large order . So i walked out , she was very rude . Do not go here

Today was the first and last time I came to this Franchise of duct donuts. I specifically asked for a diverse arrangement of donuts. Explained they were for a customer and out of the 18 donuts 12 of them were the same. One of the boxes came all dirty and I had to clean it up myself. This is why I always go to the location in Herndon, they actually listen. A lady tried to make the situation right and offered to fix it but I didn't want to be late to my meeting. Absolutely dissatisfied and disappointed with this location.

Close your eyes, imagine the salty air breeze, the sun beaming on your face, the splashing waves, and then sink your teeth into a Duck Donut and it's like you're there...almost there in Duck, OBX. Okay, not really, but these are some darn good donuts.

it's duck donuts. warm cake donuts so much better than regular or any other kids of donuts for sure. I love the ability to customize and their wide variety of options.

Don't go here if you don't have a half an hour to burn at 7am! No coffee made, 2 people working that clearly aren't paid by the donut sold. I paid at the automated kiosk after waiting 10 minutes with no one even talking to me. I then asked how long, 15-20 minutes to get two donuts! I had to leave, out $7.

The donut itself was pretty good but the display was pretty bad and messy. They need to train employees with glazing the donuts bc they were not presentable or appetizing at all.

Duck Donuts does it again with their brand new site in Ashburn. Great, courteous, friendly staff and, let's face it, their donuts are deliciously awesome.
