Duck Donuts in Duck, NC Review - Outer Banks - The Infatuation

"While Duck Donuts has quickly expanded with locations throughout the country, you should still make a stop at its original shop to enjoy a piping hot donut while overlooking the Currituck Sound. You’ll likely find a line of kids, parents, and dogs waiting outside the ordering counter, but it moves quickly and gives you some time to formulate your ideal order. The donuts are glazed and sprinkled to order, so you can make your donuts as simple or extravagant as you’d like with dozens of topping options. If designing a donut flavor profile from scratch seems overwhelming, they also have plenty of choices with pre-selected glazes, toppings, and drizzles like maple bacon and blueberry lemon." - Anne Cruz

I absolutely love these doughnuts! I was pleasantly surprised that each one was hot and made to order. It took a little time, but it was totally worth the wait!

Google
Yes, I’m about to say it …. Duck Donuts beats Krispy Kreme and Dunkin’ Donuts hands down, and it’s really not even close. What sets Duck Donuts apart is the entire experience: each donut is made-to-order right in front of you, starting with a warm, vanilla cake base that’s crispy on the outside and soft inside. From there, you customize with a massive selection of glazes, drizzles, and toppings—everything from fruity favorites to rich, indulgent creations. The donuts are noticeably sweeter than other chains, so expect a delightful punch of sugar that’s incredibly satisfying without being overwhelming. Their Maple Bacon donut is a true masterpiece: the warm, maple glaze has a buttery depth that perfectly complements the salty crunch of real bacon bits sprinkled generously on top, it’s the ultimate blend of sweet and savory, and an absolute must-try that’s become a staple at the shop. The freshness is unmatched; you won’t find any day-old displays here. Whether you’re craving classic flavors or wild combinations like blueberry icing with Oreo crumble and marshmallow drizzle, Duck Donuts delivers a gourmet twist on the traditional donut shop that keeps you coming back. It’s not just a donut, it’s a full-on dessert experience.

Google
Great fresh donuts. I got a dozen and it’s on the pricier side but well worth it. Definitely my new go to donut shop. Very tasty

Google
I went into this experience feeling curious. As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed by an employee. The wait time was less than a minute to get to the front of the line. After what felt like seconds, our donuts were done. The employee asked us if they looked good, as if she would redo them if we said no. We got a few rubber ducks as a souvenir. I also have to say-the box was adorable. Overall, 10/10 experience. Definitely will come back!

Google
ALWAYS fresh and so warm! The flavor is hard to beat. They helped us with two cute gender reveal donuts , with colored sprinkles in the cut-out hole! It was so cute and so SWEET lol! My favorite donut shop.

Google
I just wanted to say the remarkable service we encountered there. My son had to have his appendix out and was not allowed to eat or drink anything for a whole day. I asked him what the first thing he would like and he said duck donuts. I ordered some to be delivered to our house in anticipation of arrival. Our doughnuts beat us home by maybe 30 minutes. The driver (3rd party company) left them on the ground outside the door. Needless to say, they were covered in ants by the time we arrived. My spouse stopped by the store on the way home and they replaced the whole order free of charge even though it was not their fault. Could not be appreciated more when it came to a sick kiddo. ❤️

Google
Darn tasty donuts, albeit a little on the small side. That said, they are not worth waiting 30+ minutes for to get them. I certainly won’t do that again anyway. There was one other customer in the store when we ordered and it still took that long. If you’re dead set on them, order online, but I’d go somewhere else.

Google
Just okay. The idea of fresh dipped donuts sounds good, but by the time I got it home, the icing had cemented itself to the cardboard container, and half the donut was glued to the bottom and ripped off. Disappointing for the cost.

Yelp
From the moment you first walked in your greeted with the smell that is amazing. I was also greeted from the cashier who quickly took my order. Took about 5 to 8 minutes from my order to be ready and the donuts were delicious.

Yelp
I am always hearing about how great this place is. I finally tried it and it was merely okay. The donuts were okay with many flavor combos. The shop was very trendy looking. The service was quick. But I am not seeing the exciting thing others are.

Yelp
I wouldn't get the macchiato from here as someone who gets coffee all over the place. The donuts are good here just fair warning on the other menu Items. Also, our breakfast sandwiches were good but pretty small portions for the money spent. 22 bucks and I poured half of my coffee out and we had to eat something else with breakfast.

Yelp
The donuts are incredible. They make them fresh after you order them so they are nice and hot for you to eat fresh. People working there are very helpful. The biggest challenge I have found is if you are there right after they are open the coffee has to be made. It's fresh but you have to be patient for it to brew.

Yelp
Yummy donuts. Great quick service. We will definitely go back when in the area. We tried several flavors and loved them all.

Yelp
My friend and I popped in for a few donuts to take home. The guy at the counter was great fun, and very patient ! I got six and could not choose the best ones for H/H (hungry hubby) or our college son living with us. He had great suggestions, and my friend bought 3. So many choices but finally we had our orders in ;) . Then I noticed the rubber duckies!!! I have several events in the next several months that the decorated duckies will be some fun gifts to the organizers. The gentleman behind the counter went in the back and found me several more for event!!!

Yelp
My son and girlfriend said this place was amazing so e had to check it out on my trip there. It was right across the street from Krispy Keeme, which made me laugh. Walked in and was immediately welcomed ed by the staff. Checked it the menu and there was so many different donuts to choose from. I could also "make your own" and pick my own donut toppings. I chose to go with the signature donuts. There was already so many choices, it was overwhelming. We got a dozen box and a coffee. In the dozen we had so many I can't remember all the names. But I'll try: French Toast Maple Bacon Chocolate Frosted Apple Cobbler Apple pie Coffee cake Glazed Peanut butter paradise Midnight Madness And a couple others I can't remember I tried a little sliver of most of them. We shared! I loved the Apple Cobbler the best! But I love fruit! My son's favorite is the Midnight madness. Very chocolatey! His girlfriend loves the coffee cake. They all were fabulous!! They were warm and fresh too. I also ordered their regular coffee, which was delicious!! The store was cute and had ducks all over the place. They had a few cups and other souvenirs you could buy there. Great place to have a sweet bite!

Yelp
Awesome, awesome, and more awesome! I love this place. I was eager to take my mother here during her visit from Atlanta. Duck Donuts have so many choices and they make great coffee too. The donuts are made after you order, so each one is fresh! We had the Maple Bacon and Plain Glaze. I meant to take photos BUT, we ate them so quick I never had the chance. We love Duck Donuts!

Tara G.

Yelp
I'm really glad that we tried this place. I wouldn't call this place a doughnut place though. It's more like funnel cakes shaped like doughnuts. Great flavors though.

Yelp
Ok, donuts are evil. I know this, so do you. I've eaten donuts everywhere from Randy's in LA to Winchells, Krispy Kreme; TV newsrooms to Las Vegas Metro Police Division-Homicide...HOWEVER, these guys are worth the sin. Fresh, honestly fresh, really made WHEN you order 'em. Pick your flavor, they make it. Look, if you're gonna do a donut, have the best donut you'll ever had. Don't settle for junk, grab the Duck

Yelp
Being a North Carolina girl, I have to love and support Duck Donuts! It originated from a small coastal town on the Outer Banks of NC called Duck. If/when I'm in the area, I make an effort to visit the original store. This donut shop has made it big on the east coast and slowly making it's way nationally because of their warm, delicious, made-to-order, customizable, cake donuts! There are sooo many options for toppings, drizzles, and icings. I usually order from the menu of the season. PRO TIP: If you have to wait to eat them (or, any take out orders), use your seat warmer (if you have one) to keep them warm.

Chelsey B.

Yelp
Best donut I've ever had in my life! Service was great staff was super friendly and helpful. The donuts were made fresh to order great experience!

Yelp
Duck Donuts is unique. Cake Donuts that you have covered, dipped, drizzled and sprinkled with what suits your fancy. The hardest part is deciding what to order.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped here for a dozen donuts because we had a 1/2 price coupon. She prefers a Yeats-type donut (like Krispy Kreme), so she was disappointed they only offered a yellow cake donut. However, we tried a mix of several flavors, and we both liked them very much. I assumed that using the same donut and only changing the icing would not change the taste, but it does. I liked the cake style and the icing flavors. The donuts are "standard size", vice some of the shops that offer giant sized donuts. For approx. $2 a donut, they are certainly worth eating.

Yelp
I came. I ordered. I ate! @duckdonuts are delicious fresh from the frier with a variety of mouth-watering toppings! This trip, I ordered a strawberry sprinkle and the "Beach ball" donut. Both were fantastic and polished off in 3-4 bites. These are so warm, that they are too hot to hold when first picked-up but superbly warm, soft, and gooey after just a few minutes. A surprise was the extra icing collected under the donuts - you know, the stuff you scoop with your finger after finishing the donuts? Yum! Didn't have a chance to visit one of my favorite donut shops @statusdoughnuts , just down the street, so next time I'll switch it up. Tag and follow for repost Visit @duckdonuts and let them know that @donutduster sent you!

Yelp
Omg I love this place. I love it so much I went back again before I left town. First of all- thanks so much to the staff who assisted me in ordering while I was on a conference call. Barking out what I wanted in between interjections and mute buttons. They were very accommodating and I left with yummy donuts and had no idea I could have custom ordered them any way I wanted. In fact, I had thought it odd when one of the staff came over and showed me the donuts to ensure they were to my liking. I thought, of course, that's what I ordered. Lol Now- when I came the second time. And wasn't distracted. Oh my goodness- what a wonderful concept! I picked my donut flavors and toppings and was again pleased as punch. The donuts are made fresh to order and you can create your hearts desire. I thought it funny they are directly across from a krispy kreme and I had no desire to stop by. No need for a hot now sign at this place because all their donuts come hot and toasty. I know for certain if I'm in the area I'll be back again and a should you!

Yelp
Really like Duck Donuts! First had them in the Outer Banks and then was very happy to see them locally.

Yelp
I was in town with my family and we needed a quick bite to eat before getting back on the road. After much deliberation, we choose Duck Donuts over the other well known donut institution that was located across the street. At first glance, I was almost ready to dismiss this near perfect slice of delight that we stumbled across. Offering only vanilla donuts, Duck Donuts are hot, fresh and made to order. I ordered mine with Oreo topping and Salted Caramel drizzle. I'm not one to get excited about donuts, but wow! It was most definitely the best $1.58 that I spent on the whole trip, and quite possibly the best donut that I have ever had in my life. Two words can describe my experience. Game Changer. I'll be dreaming about these donuts until I make my way back to Knoxville.

Yelp
This location is not participating for Veteran's day!My veteran husband and I (also a veteran) stopped in and were told that they are not honoring this. They've lost a customer in us. Sad because our kids love this place!
google avatar

Ben W.

Yelp
Love the variety and made to order concept. Duck donuts is a nice departure from other donut shops with the ability to have donuts made in any flavor combination you desire. The base donut is the same for all donuts but then you add coatings, toppings or a drizzle as they call them. My favorite sweet donut is the lemon icing with raspberry drizzle. If you want a sweet and savory combination, the maple icing with bacon and a salted caramel drizzle will hit the spot. It is difficult to drive by this place without stopping!
google avatar

Pamela D.

Yelp
Impossible to not have a great donut here. Love love love them and so tasty! Raspberry drizzle on a plain donut is my jam!
google avatar

Heavyn B.

Yelp
Haven't tried them yet, just the staff was.. odd. I get it. Over worked. Underpaid. Low on staff. I just, don't really want to over hear your conversation the 15 mins I'm standing there waiting for my donuts. Cool that they top them there, but the lady handed me a box covered in chocolate bc she was rushing to get them topped so she could be finished with closing early. Even though they don't close for another 1.5 hours...Again, I get it. But while customers are in the room maybe keep chatter to a minimum.

Yelp
No ducks were harmed at Ducks Donuts! If you heart vanilla cake donuts, you need to check out Ducks Donuts because you get to select the coating, topping and drizzle. Established in Duck, NC, this chain has an outstanding selection of customizable donuts and pre-established flavors. Coating: plain or from 10 other flavors. The maple and blueberry would have been my first and second choice. Topping: colorful sprinkles to different types of crushed cookies. Drizzle: hot fudge or 3 other sweet flavors Once you're ready to order, use the checked box order sheet or pick from the featured donuts. The donut itself is your basic vanilla cake donut but the novelty made your choice combination endless. They also offered small samples to make the decision easier or harder! During my visit, they had several custom "Shark Week" donuts with one of them having a gummy shark in the center. They also featured three lime flavors to celebrate the summer. Since the lime was a limited offer, I ordered the lime coating with the crushed graham cracker topping ($1.75). The first bite hit the spot as the donut just came out of the fryer and lime coating had a tart and more sweet flavor. We also ordered an additional dozen ($14.99) and had the staff pick the combinations. Besides donuts, they offer a few breakfast sandwiches and iced espresso drinks. Would this be the best donut I ever had?? Probably not but the idea is certainly creative! Quack Quack!
google avatar

Kimberly R.

Yelp
Fantastic, silly experience, AND THEY ARE HANDED TO YOU HOT!!! Lots of guaranteed combinations to satisfy your sweet tooth but you can make it up. Even the coffee was good.

Steve J.

Yelp
I do not understand why this place is located where it is. There is a Krispy Kreme store across the street which is much better. I tried a donut which was dry and very expensive. Came in a nice box though. Again I would much rather have gotten a Krispy Kreme across the street. Krispy Kreme is much better for sure. When the light is on you can get fresh and hot just made donuts at Krispy Kreme.

Yelp
Um...who doesn't LOVE Duck Donuts??! These donuts are some of the best donuts I have ever eaten. So soft, gooey, yummy, and made to order so they are always fresh! My favorites so far are the regular glazed (I know, I'm simple lol), the vanilla + Oreo + marshmallow (instead of fudge), and the maple bacon. I also like the cinnamon sugar. There are so many choices, so it's going to take a lifetime to taste everything, but I am so up for the challenge! If you haven't tried Duck Donuts yet, don't walk, run there!
google avatar

Yelp
Ok. For my 777 review...it had to be this place!!! We pull up and there are people standing outside the door with the door opened. (With great reviews like this Its no wonder) People are walking out saying "hour wait" as we seen several customers leaving without donuts.... As we step in (finally) I can definetly see why its an hour wait. They only have 1 hobart going. The lady was saying, after making the donuts if there was a "terry here for a 4:30 pickup" didnt know they had phone order ahead. I tried asking the manager but he didnt look too happy and didn't respond kindly. (The manager/owner should have time to answer questions and mingle with his guests who are waiting) I'll have to ask the cashier. YES they do. I'll Definetely keep this in mind!! They need a much bigger hobart so they can make double batches to keep up with demand. The donuts here look amazing-- order them any way you wanted. They were giving away free sugar and cinnamon samples OMGoodness...they are so delicious!! Definetely worth the wait!!!!! We are 33 minutes wait time and still 9 orders ahead of us with donuts slowly coming out. Finally!!! Got our donuts!!! Amayyyyzingly fresh and awesome!! I would highly recommend these to everyone....but be prepared to wait 47 minutes. (We did anyway) Order ahead!!! On the phone Wasn't overly happy with the glaze as the cake donut sucked it up and I asked for the oreo donut. The powdered on the cake donut doesnt stick to it very well. Make sure you specify and have them read it back to you. They also left off my chocolate sprinkles and they ran out of rainbow sprinkles. :( The cinnamon and sugar is the best!!

Yelp
I have become a fast fan of this place. Growing up in the south, we like everything that will make you fat, donuts are definitely included. Hands down, one of the best cake donuts I have ever had!! As a kid the only donut place we had around was Krispy Kreme. I used to love to watch the donuts being made, as the "HOT DONUTS" sign was on, and they would give me a free hat. Well, they don't have hats here for your kids I don't think, but your kids can definitely watch the donuts be made because they are always fresh and being made. No donut is the same here, as they have all sorts of donuts you can create. 1st you pick the style of donut you want, (cinnamon sugar, vanilla, chocolate, lemon, peanut butter, glazed, powdered sugar, etc), then you choose a topping if you want one, (bacon, sprinkles, peanuts, Oreos, or coconut shavings), and then lastly you can choose a drizzle of some sort (raspberry, blackberry, chocolate, vanilla, etc.). My favorites are: glazed, vanilla, and the cinnamon & sugar w/ a vanilla drizzle. My boyfriend loves the lemon. They also have milk, coffee and other beverages to wash down your donut. When this first opened I thought, why would you open a donut place right across from Krispy Kreme?! Well 1st it's a good location, and 2nd the Bearden area needed this place! Unlike Krispy Kreme, these donuts are good 3 days after you get them. I don't know if they'll last 4 days because they haven't lasted 4 days at my house. Krispy Kreme's donuts are only good when they're hot, never the next day as they begin to taste stale. Yes the line might look long but it usually moves faster than you would think, especially if they have both registers open. I hope you LOVE these donuts as much as I do, because I can't get enough of these moist, cakey, delicious donuts, and I'm sure you won't be able to either! Get in there and get your sweet tooth fix! Cheers & Enjoy!

Yelp
Sweet tooth just isn't there for me, but according to the GF, this place is good. I'm not big on donuts, but I guess when there's bacon added to the mix anything goes/ Am I right or what? So, it's pretty simple, order how many you want, pick a coat, topping, and drizzle. I believe we did a glaze, bacon, and then drizzled with vanilla something? I have no idea. But the bacon one was bangin'. The donut comes out hot and nice and doughy, not old and stale you would probably get from Krispy Kreme at a Wal-Mart. I think if you were to eat any donuts, you should go to a donut shop. We got here on a Sunday, and luckily there was no one in line. We were lucky. Because five minutes passed and there were a horde of people and the line was close to getting to go outside the door. So luckily we just got our donuts, killed them, and then left. Donuts don't get any better, and it's right there on top. If you've never had any other type of donuts other than your usual Krispy Kreme and Dunkin' Donuts, then this place should definitely be on your list. Because I think after eating here you might not want to go back.

Yelp
Duck Donuts Don't Bother I went in at 9am on a Friday. There was only me and this other man who was waiting for his take-out dozen and carton of coffee. It was instantly depressing. There wasn't even a toppings list on the board. The place was filthy. The prep space, counter space and the topping areas were disgusting. There were 3 employees. Any one of them should have been cleaning the cook spaces, rather than 2 of them together icing a dozen donuts. Not one said hello, thank you or goodbye. I ordered 2 donuts and a coffee. After 4 or so minutes I asked for my coffee. The woman (who kept her back to me the whole time) said she had to fill the carton of coffee up first and then make another pot before she could do mine. (I've worked in food service. I would have given the customer the cup of coffee and then gone back to filling the carton.) So I get my donuts and sit down. Now, if you've never been to a Duck, the donuts are made to order and then topped with whatever glaze you want. They're molten hot when you get them, but they have a lovely crisp exterior so the glaze doesn't get soaked in while you wait for them to cool. Except at this shop. I waited like 20 seconds, picked up my first donut and it was so drenched with glaze that the whole thing completely fell apart. I picked up the second and the bottom of it was swimming in the glaze of the first one, so all I could handle was the top half and then it fell apart. I used my fingers to scoop up a blob of donut and, got instantly coated in glaze and gave up. I heard "coffee" and saw a cup on the counter. No "Ma'am? Here's your coffee. Sorry you had to wait". I asked if it was mine - no one said a word- so I went to put milk in it. But there wasn't any. Not even that nasty powdered stuff. So I went to the counter, where the woman was now staring blankly at another customer. I asked her if I could have some milk. She didn't even look at me, just took my cup, got out the milk and started to pour: but there was no more than a 1/4" space. I told her to stop, she was going to spill all over. She looked at me like she didn't know what else to do. I said pour out about an inch and then add milk. She poured out maybe 1/4" and added milk. There was so little room for milk it barely changed the color of the coffee. She put it on the counter and turned to the other customer. Again: no "here you go, ma'am" or anything. I sat down with the coffee, took a big sip, and it was lukewarm and completely stale! I was desperate for the caffeine so I took 2 sips - it was so bitter, my lips puckered- looked at my donut box which contained nothing more than donut soup mash, and walked out, leaving everything on the table. I wanted to get my money back but I had to make an appointment and I really didn't think that any of them would have known how do it. In the short time I was in there, 3 people came in behind me. They were never so busy that the couldn't even make eye contact with the people who keep them employed. and yet somehow they did just that. There's a big "grand reopening new owners" sign across the front; I reckon that within the week there's going to be a "for sale" sign in its place.

Yelp
After multiple attempts...I finally tried it!! I've had a roller coaster relationship with this shop. I've been wanting to try it for the longest time ever and every time I came it's either packed or closed. I probably should've checked the hours or called in advance...So I've arrived excited every time and left empty handed and extremely sad. But not today! Today was the day. It had to happen. I knew it was. I was so excited that I even forgot to check in. I know right?! Okay, maybe that's not the complete reason why I forgot to check in. I always thought that this was just in movies when you become a total dummy and can't speak or act like you normally do because you're into someone. Now I can accurately say, been there, done that. So this donut shop, it's NOT hyped up. It's legit. Why? Even a plain donut is good. Right?!? I couldn't believe it!! I could totally down a bunch of these. Here I am making a fuss and judging this guy for ordering a plain and then I snag a bite...then I shut up. Haha. I'm sure we all had those moments when we couldn't stop yapping then shut up within a matter of seconds. That bite was heavenly. I'm sure these donuts would still taste good room temperature but of course who doesn't want it fresh? It took me forever to decide on the flavor. I decided to go with a girl scout cookie theme and ordered maple with coconut and peanuts topped with a chocolate glaze. I took a bite and Woah. Did not expect that texture at all. It was so soft and cakey. It's like the Asian bakery cakes I'm addicted to!!! I was so excited. It wasn't crazily sweet either. This is definitely my favorite donut shop in Knoxville and you must try it if you haven't yet!!

Yelp
Cute place and so friendly, saw them the other day and figured it was time to check this place out. What's better to get after a steakhouse? Donuts! Thank you for wearing mask and keep up the great work!
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
I am reluctant to give 5stars only because a 5 is reserved for the very best and I don't want to give a 5 to a donut bakery however, this is an exception. What they got right, the cake donuts are fresh, hot and creatively decorated with many flavor options. Even the brewed coffee is terrific; if you stop for the darker brew and nothing else, you'll thank me for the tip. I would consider opening a donut shop, a brave and foolish move however, There is no competitor for this shop. These artisanal donuts are no less than edible art. If you like donuts, don't miss this spot. Friendly service and plenty of parking. You may get lucky and get 1 of 5 seats inside, otherwise plan on taking these to go. Also, you are able to go in and complete an order form and that gives you a chance to peruse the flavors while you watch other orders completed. Hot spot here.

Yelp
Didn't know what duck donuts was until I came to Knoxville for the first time! I must say the dud are all warm and yummy and goes really well with one iced coffee! I love how you can customize your toppings and build your own too! The smores was my favorite! Also... I never thought I would like bacon on a donut but it's actually really good!!!!!
google avatar

Jen H.

Yelp
Cake donuts have their place and I occasionally get a craving for them. When I do Duck Donuts is my go to spot. All of their donuts are made fresh and dressed when you order them. The base is the same but you can specify whatever toppings you want from a list. They also have a menu of suggested flavor combinations. They only serve cake donuts here but they do them very well.
google avatar

Natalie E.

Yelp
Haters gonna hate.... and am I allowed to hate a little here? I am a Canadian and feel like I get +5 when eating and rating donuts. So it's nice that they make these fresh and they are warm when they serve them. It's also nice they have some good flavor combos, but they are all cake donuts. Yes, ALL of them. It's so sad, I mean... cake donuts have their place but there is a place for yeast donuts and you can't ignore them! And they are small! If you are going to be charging gourmet prices then you better give me a donut that will BE my breakfast. Also there's almost always a line out the door, but that doesn't mean it's worth it... it just means people in Knoxville haven't experienced the likes of say a Voodoo Donuts, or even Status Dough up the street. Hint, hint! BUT if you love small cakey donuts, this place is for you. Enjoy!

Yelp
Fantastic donuts and the staff is very friendly. The donuts are much more expensive than Krispy Kreme but I think much better quality. Just be prepared to pay up

Yelp
Seriously soooooo good omg..... I seriously want to relive the moment over and over again. I came to Duck Donuts on National Donut Day. They gave away free donuts with your choice of plain, cinnamon, or powdered. I ordered the powdered donut...... and what can I say to describe how freaking amazing it was!!!!!! They make it fresh from the moment you order and they flavor it and decorate it right in front of your eyes! The powdered sugar was literally melted onto the donut because it was so hot and steamy. Seriously, it was like butter melting in my mouth. It tasted like a funnel cake but even better!!!! 100000 times better!!!!! The line of course was long just because of the holiday, but it went by so fast! And the staff was soooooo sweet and nice. You didn't feel rushed at all. They even gave me a BOGO donut coupon. I am coming back for you, powdered donuts - you may not be good for me. But I can't stop thinking about you!

Yelp
Made to order, Donuts. Duck Donuts My 1st time was on Saturday April 7, 2018. The entire staff at, Duck Donuts made me feel welcome. Rachel M, was the sweetest cashier ever. Duck Donuts has the best made to order, fresh donuts. Even Though, this is the most expensive Donuts shop in Knoxville. The donuts are made fresh and very good.

Yelp
Fresh and warm doughnuts right off the rack!! Mmmm... You customize it to your liking. I got the peanut butter icing with bacon topping and then a blueberry pancake one! Iced coffee was good as well!

Yelp
I had very high hopes for Duck Donuts and when I got there they were let down I really did not like the donuts they were very over the top and overrated I definitely preferred Dunkin' Donuts more.

Yelp
Three words: take my money. Wow this place is good. The concept is, a vanilla cake donut with countless delicious toppings to choose from. They have a menu with a list of combinations they thought up and then you can also build your own donuts. The dough is light and tasty, not too sweet. The toppings compliment the donuts perfectly. It's 8.95 for a dozen of these bad boys (definitely worth it). My personal favorite, the blueberry frosted donut!

Yelp
Hot, fresh, deliciously topped donuts! Need I say more? These donuts are a little on the pricey side but for a special treat, they're perfect! You can choose a pre-selected dozen or you can customize the donuts anyway your heart desires. The topping combinations are endless. Service is always friendly and the donuts are made right after you order so they're fresh every time. This location is easy to find and next door to Tazikis, so grab lunch and then head over for a sweet treat. Pulling in and out of the parking lot can be tricky, as it is in a busy intersection. Side note: a dozen of these donuts make a great gift for your friends, teachers, office staff, etc.....

Yelp
This location closes randomly and their phone message doesn't get updated so it is a wasted trip many time to drive there and find it closed! Very frustrating to show up at 4:30 to a hand scribbles note saying sorry we closed at 4 today!

Yelp
Ok so my son wanted to try " Duck Donuts " and I finally went. I said I was going to wait a while before I go because I not into going inside new restaurants when they first open. I read a few comments and heard people at school always complaining that its pack and its almost a 1 hour wait. Well, the day I went was only 3 of us in there and I'm not sharing the day I went or the time I went, LOL !! This type of place isn't really new for me because I use to live in Texas and Colorado so I have already seen doughnuts shops like this. They will take orders ahead of time if u fill out the Duck Doughnut form, I picked up 2 just in case I come back, But it will not be soon. Because, My son didn't like it and I went for him not for me. I had already tasted them in another state soooo duck doughnuts has always been just ok for my taste buds, But they are still good ... but not good enough for me to say goodbye to Krispy Kreme in which will always be my family favorite doughnuts. I gave them 4 stars because my family personally don't care for it and when we are in a rush for work or school Krispy Kreme is that faster route. If I go back it will be because im having an extra extra female craving for sweets.

Yelp
In my opinion $20 for a dozen donuts is expensive for what I got. Cake donut drowned in icing and topping. Overly sweet. Also had to wait a half an hour for my dozen. Definitely a once and done experience

Yelp
I passed here on the way through Atlanta and wanted to try Duck Donuts, as it's a chain that I have never gotten to go to before. We got three donuts: a lemon glazed, a chocolate glazed with chocolate sprinkles, and a maple glazed with oreo crumble & caramel drizzle. The lemon glaze, though it didn't look like the one they advertised, had a strong lemon taste and felt like eating a lemon cake. The chocolate/chocolate was, as you might have guessed, very chocolaty. The Maple glazed didn't have much promintent maple flavoring, but the oreo the drizzle was more distinct, and it was still good. My only beef with this place was that the donuts tasted a bit underdone and was very doughy. Still, if you want to try making your own donuts, I would gladly suggest this place.
