Duck Foot Brewing Company Opening East Village Eatery - Eater San Diego

"Duck Foot Brewing Company is expanding to the East Village with a tasting room that will also include a food component. The brewery specializes in gluten-reduced beers and features a core beer lineup that includes a double white IPA, a blonde ale, a pilsner, and a honey ale. The new East Village location, designed by Jessica Kovarsky of Studio Aya, will hold 16 taps pouring year-round beers as well as limited releases not available elsewhere. The tasting room will serve a gluten-free menu created by consulting chef Logan Kendall, featuring dishes such as peachwood-smoked olives, cauliflower popcorn, and various salads." - Candice Woo

Amazing spot to grab a beer, especially on a sunny day. There is plenty of seating indoors and a great patio area. Very pet friendly spot. Duckfoot has a large variety of beer to choose from always. The Belgians are excellent.

Google
I recently visited Duck Foot Brewing and had a decent experience. The beer selection was okay, nothing too spectacular, but definitely worth a try for beer lovers. They offer two non-beer drink options, but unfortunately, one wasn’t available when I visited, which was a bit of a bummer. The brewery has both indoor and outdoor seating, which is nice for different preferences. Parking wasn’t difficult to find, which made the visit a lot more convenient. The location itself is great, with a lively vibe and easy access to nearby areas. Overall, it’s a solid spot if you're in the area, especially if you’re into craft beer, but I hope they improve their non-beer drink options and availability next time.

Bassist from NH. Beer and location great. Suggestion: Emerald, ukulele player, great voice, played well. Too Loud, People will stay longer, drink more,if they can talk, enjoy their games. Music is supposed to be background music. It's not a Rock concert there. We were there for a few beers and conversation. Spoiled it for me. Try it once.

Google
Very delayed review here but we rented out Duck Foot Brewing for an event last year and it was awesome. The space was perfect. The beers were fantastic. And the staff (and especially the owner Brett) were super helpful and flexible. Added bonus is we were able to have Haggo's Tacos cater which worked out great. Highly recommend Duck Foot Brewing for a beer, bite or event!

We were looking for somewhere to enjoy a beer after running errands and found this joint. Lots of great beers to try. Felipe knew all about the brewery and welcomed questions.

Google
Small brewpub with a large selection of good beers, 3 size pours available, plus 2 sizes growler fills. I got a beer flight, 5 beers for $14, which is reasonable. Tried the Cryo Lumenesscense IPA, 2am Tacos Mexican Lager, Cash & Prizes IPA, Kook Slams Tropical West Coast IPA, Drink This or the Bees Die Golden Honey. The Kook Slams was by far the best. The others were drinkable, but IMO unmemorable. Big trivia contest on Thursdays, the place was packed. Indoor & outdoor seating. Competent but non-cordial beertender. My one complaint, the flight tray was made of some extremely heavy metal, unwieldy, and as the glasses were little snifter type glasses they were difficult to remove from the holder. Lots of merch available. I would drink here again.

Love this brewery! Always new beers being added, friendly staff, and fun events ever week. Bingo night is amazing

Google
Absolutely incredible location in Leucadia with a chill atmosphere and welcoming tap room. First-time caller, so I went with a flight, obvs., of both West Coast as well as Double IPA's. Good but not great (hence the four stars), but gawddamn, Leucadia FTW, as this spot definitely wins for Location, Location, Location. Paz.

Yelp
I tend to come by here on any given day after a little surf session. The beertender is always prompt and quick. They have really cool beers available always, and they do these slushies too (for non beer drinkers) with alcohol lol. The merch is really cool. I like the pull over sweater.

Yelp
Kailea is a great bartender! Had a good time sampling all the beers at Duck Foot... It's a nice open and airy tasting room on the 101 in leucadia next to the Bing Surf Shop (the former home of the Longboard Grotto and surfy surfy...) great place to relax and have a few beers...

Yelp
What a cute hidden spot! I loved their happy hour deals and open layout. Very casual ambiance with tasty beers. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Amazing selection of locally crafted beers, cool space, and fun events like trivia and bingo on weeknights. As a taproom I'm giving Duck Foot 5 stars mostly focusing on the drinks quality, however I will say I'd be inclined to go more often if there were more snacking available :) Haggo's tacos teams up with Duck Foot on game nights which is nice!

Great selection. Nice bar tender. They have a lively crowd in certain nights where they do trivia etc. place was clean. No food is served though.

Yelp
Great location cruising it down to SD! The sun was shining and the space was lovely. They had some great swag for ladies and the beer was delicious. I didn't see any food options but I believe they had snacks. There were some really great food options around too! The service was friendly and they had a great selection of solid beers.

Yelp
We heard good things about this brewery and wanted to make a special stop during our vacation. I tried the Lemonade & Guava Radler beer slushie. It was tart and refreshing. My husband really liked the Tropical Blonde. We caught the end of a golf tournament here and the crowd was lively and fun. We'd love to come back next time we visit the area.

Yelp
Bustling brewery on a Saturday afternoon, but managed to find a table on their outside area. The housemade selection was vast. I've been to a few gluten-free breweries before but this was one of the best I've had with multiple distinct flavors.

Yelp
This place was packed for trivia night and we were not able to do a flight, so perhaps this isn't the most fair review. It was too hot and loud to have multiple beers.

Yelp
Not nearly as big as the original Miramar location, but every bit as great. Huge beer selection, all of which are excellent. Big ole selection of merch as well as board games to choose from as you're enjoying your beer. We opted to sit outside; it sometimes got a wee bit loud as it's a main street, but it was still a nice environment.

Yelp
Great gluten sensitive options for beer. I had a blonde ale and it was great. Nice little spot in Encinitas with outdoor seating available. Staff is friendly and quick with orders. Would definitely go back again

Yelp
The best gluten free brewery by far! I have celiac and have never had a bad reaction :)

Yelp
Duck Foot Brewing is the best and such an awesome part of the Leucadia community! Whether you're looking to attend Thursday night trivia, grab drinks with friends, or just grab a more casual drink for date night, Duck Foot is the place to be. Every server and staff member we have met has been nothing but kind and friendly, matching the ethos of the neighborhood more broadly. The beer itself is DELICIOUS. Some of our favorites include the Kook Slams IPA and The Looker Blonde Ale. All Duck Foot beers are gluten reduced, and both my husband and I notice that we feel much better after drinking a Kook Slams (or two!) compared to other, gluten-heavy beers. We love Duck Foot so much that we even included their beers in our wedding welcome bags, and the Duck Foot team was a joy to work with during the ordering process. Overall, highly recommend this brewery!

Yelp
Excellent brewery! Love that the owner is from Encinitas and it was his dream to open in Encinitas! The beer & hard kombucha are great! Perfect for having a drink on a lazy Sunday outside!

Yelp
Good place to enjoy some good craft beers and enjoy the ambiance I enjoyed it. Bartender was friendly and welcoming.
