"Many area restaurants offer Peking duck, but few were as immediately successful as Duck N’ Bao, which landed on prominent Best New Restaurants lists within its first years. The restaurant’s calling card lies within its name. The whole Peking duck is barbecued until crisp and comes with traditional fixings like pancakes, duck sauce, soup, cucumbers, and scallions. But don’t sleep on other mains like tea leaf pork ribs, stir-fried lotus root, and whole steamed fish. You can also get your Peking duck fix at Duck n Bao’s Memorial location, at 5535 Memorial Dr. Suite O." - Lane Gillespie

So you don’t wanna come here for the food the poached fish or tofu was delicious. Note that it has that element where it makes your tongue a little bit tingly lots of spicy items on the menu. The salt pepper calamari was delicious. Been here twice. Highly recommend the half duck was very tasty. The services average where they take your order bring out the food Casey check on the water. I needed to go get chili oil because I didn’t bring it and didn’t check in however I feel like there’s only one waiter serving about five or six tables on a Saturday afternoon The location is definitely weathered. You’ll see the notice of the picture that uploaded the bathroom that has like a faded paint job due to over pushing in the middle. Some of the furniture is dated. So it’s five star for the food service is average for a three star and atmospheres two star below average in my opinion. Note my rating system: 1 Star: I wouldn't recommend 2 Stars: Didn't hit my standards 3 Stars: Average (nothing special) 4 Stars: Above Average. Would recommend. Still looking for the 5 Star. 5 Stars: Top of their game. Great food. Great service. Would recommend and plan on returning.

I recently dined at Duck and Bao, and it was a fantastic experience! Joseph was our waiter, and though he was new, his attentiveness and helpfulness really shone through — it was refreshing to see someone so eager to make our meal enjoyable. We ordered the duck with crepes, which immediately took me back to the authentic flavors I experienced in Beijing on a work trip. Watching the soup dumplings being made fresh at the counter was a treat, and they were absolutely delicious. We also tried the traditional pepper steak and walnut shrimp, which ended up being my husband’s favorite. The shrimp were huge, and the portions were perfect. The atmosphere was inviting and comfortable, making it the ideal spot for a relaxing meal. So glad I stopped by — I’ll definitely be returning!

Google
All the food was great! Service seemed a bit off. Rice was not served with entre, waited a few minutes and only 1 small bowl for table. Waited for water refills, had to ask. Server was friendly but seemed preoccupied. Didn't get pictures of everything it all came separately.

Google
This was a nice lunch. The Peking duck was not the best we have had, the flavor was great, but it did not taste fresh. The soup dumpling were really good. Will be back to try more of their other food again!

Google
I've been coming to Duck N Bao for years, and it never disappoints! The crispy spicy chicken is hands-down my favorite. You can tell they put care into their ingredients and consistency. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the vibe is laid-back but stylish. Whether I’m grabbing takeout or dining in, it’s always a great experience. This place is a gem in Cypress

Google
The string beans are delicious. I love the flavor and texture. The duck meat is a little gamey and the skin is not crispy. The portion is pretty good. The soup dumplings are full of soup but lack of flavor. They look very pretty. The spicy cold cut beef has good flavor and portion but the texture is a little too hard. Over all I think I still like this place. The service is excellent.

Google
The chicken options were limited. Momos were really good. Spicy chicken was not that moist. Service was good and atmosphere was nice.

Nice place for a quick bite. We ordered chicken egg rolls; garlic cucumbers spicy; 3 peppers chicken with steamed rice. Complete our meal with two fizzy waters and two cold Kiran beers! Yummy

Yelp
First time here, and instantly was welcomed with a warm inviting atmosphere. Sebastian, our waiter, took great care of us and ensured our time here was pleasurable. The peking duck was tender and flavorful. Definitely will be back!

Tiffany T.

Yelp
All of the soup dumplings are fantastic. The dumpling skin is thin. Plenty of delicious umami soup in the middle. Pork soup dumpling was my personal fave! You can never go wrong with the peking duck and extra pancakes!

Yelp
Duck N Bao is a nice place to go grab some yummy East Asian delight. Scallion pancakes: Absolutely perfect! Crispy, flaky and flavorful! Salt and pepper calamari: It was good, but not the best that I have I had. I think the batter had too much flavoring in the coated salt mixture that it overpowered the calamari itself. I have definitely had better. Cumin lamb: Amazing! Gave you that numbing spice and was delicious with white rice. Peking duck: Such tender duck it was amazing and the pancakes they give you are so think, it's perfect! You get a bite of everything when you make your little bao/wrap. Soup dumplings (not pictured): It was yummy - but not the best I've had! We tried the crab ones and the chicken. I didn't like the chicken at all - the flavor just wasn't there. The crab was okay! Filled with a ton of soup so that's definitely a plus! Vibe was great, and staff was nice!!

Yelp
Our party of four arrived just before 7pm on a Saturday evening and waited just a couple of minutes to be seated. As others have mentioned, there was a slight unpleasant smell, but not enough to leave. We had cocktails (mostly Singapore slings) and they were pretty good. Brussels sprouts appetizer was tasty. The main reason for going was the Peking duck, and it did not disappoint. Skin was crispy, but slightly more crisp would have been even better. The spicy house fish was really yummy, with lots of tingle from the Szechwan pepper. Fried rice and sautéed bok choy rounded out the meal nicely. Service was quite attentive; we never wanted for anything and all orders came out promptly. We'll definitely eat here again.

Yelp
THE ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE I'VE EXPERIENCED IN A WHILE! We were so excited to dine here, given the rave reviews, but were treated like we were second-class citizens-in every way possible. We waited almost 10 minutes to be taken to our seats, which were all the way in the back of the restaurant. Mind you, there were plenty of seats in the front, and everyone else in the restaurant had their orders taken immediately and were served before us. After sitting and waiting to have our order taken for 15-20 minutes, to no avail, the server finally graces us with his presence. STILL no proper greeting. He just asked if we'd been helped yet-we said no. He then asks to take our order. No "Oh my goodness! So sorry you've been waiting...what can I get you?!", or any kind of concern shown for paying customers. It was as though we owed HIM something! When we were finally able to order, I asked for a "Mar-"...YES, that's all I was able to get out before he rudely cut me off and curtly said, "ID", with his hand out. We ordered water (which tasted unfiltered) martinis, and dumplings, as an appetizer, OVER AN HOUR TO RECEIVE! Yes, it is a Saturday night, but did I mention that there were ONLY 2 people in the restaurant when we first arrived-all of whom were greeted, had their orders taken, and served well before us. The restaurant was crowded by the time we left! When the dumplings came, I asked which was which (we'd ordered both chicken and pork). The server literally smacked his lips with agitation, sighed and answered... "the chicken ones are at the top", as if we truly bothered him to ask. For our wait to be as long as it was, the dumplings did not align -their taste was no better than what you might purchase at a grocery store. For our entire 2-hour visit, we WERE ONLY SEEN TWICE! In fact, after having to flag someone else down to close out our bill, our original server (this is only his second visit to our table) comes up to our table laughing, saying "I'm sorry, I forgot about you (yes, he actually said that), Can I get you anything?" I told him we'd already closed out, and not one apology, offer to fix things, or any courtesy was given to us. He just let us leave dissatisfied. Originally, we were going to have appetizers and dine in. The wait was so long, and the service so lackluster, that all we wanted to do was take our entrees to go. After waiting for 45 MINUTES to get our food and flagging down the manager, asking for our food, he proceeded to pick up our food, which had been sitting on the pickup table THE WHOLE TIME! AGAIN , NO APOLOGIES, NO EXPLANATION, NO COMPING OF ANYTHING... Please realize, THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER PLACES TO DINE, where customers will be happily greeted, treated with respect, promptly served delicious food, and worthy of a return visit. So, in conclusion: POOR SERVICE NEGLECT ATTITUDE MEDIOCRE FOOD NOT RETURNING. And no, you will not see any photos, as with my typical reviews, because, what's there to see?

Yelp
Likely the best and most authentic Chinese food restaurant in the cypress area. There's traditional sichuan offerings as well as the American food like Orange Chicken for you uninitiated types. They have a nice little selection of dim sum smaller dishes as well as the Peking Duck. The service has always been exactly what it needs to be, just attentive enough and plenty nice. I've ordered here for Thanksgiving and come in when my power was out during the freeze in 2021, they're always ready to serve. There's a neat area to watch some of the chefs make baos and dumplings, and overall inside it feels like a Chinese restaurant that you'd find in any suburban neighborhood. The food has always been spot on and I have yet to have anything that didn't taste great, even if it's not my favorite item. Kung Pai Chicken, Peking Duck, Pork Soup Dumplings, Stif Fried String Bean, and Cumin Lamb are some of my go to's. My recommendations is to not try something you could order at Panda Express and you'll have a good time.

Yelp
We had the best experience today at this restaurant. We live in Tomball and my sister and her family were visiting from Louisiana. We got a sampling of all kinds of dishes and each one was so delicious. We can't wait to go back!

Brian P.

Yelp
As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were greeted and seated very quickly. Staff was attentive. The restaurant is a bit darker, which is perfect for a date night with your partner or ! As for the food: - Peking Duck: 8.2/10 - The duck was flavorful, especially the pieces with the crisp, fatty skin. The sweet and tangy duck sauce and the scallions and green onion helped balance the fattiness of the meat. Definitely try it with the steamed buns! We wished the peking duck came with it instead of the pancakes, which had the meat constantly slipping out of it. - Mapo Tofu - 10/10 - The tofu was nice and soft and we had the option to add ground beef to the dish. The dish was wonderfully spicy and the sichuan peppercorns had a nice mouth numbing sensation!

Hayley F.

Yelp
There was sewer odor once I opened the door. The restaurant has ample seating for small and big groups. I was quickly seated, and staff were attentive. Food came out pretty fast. I had the pork soup dumplings, pan fried dumplings, Dan Dan noodle, stir-fried rice noodle with beef, and house special boiled fish fillet. The pork soup dumplings had lotsa soup in individual dumplings but the pork and soup were too salty. The pan fried dumplings were sitting on a bed of oil when served. That's bad. The Dan Dan noodle's sauce was too salty. However the noodle texture was good. The stir-fried rice noodle didn't have much flavor, and had only a few slices of beef. Lastly, the house special boiled fish fillet was of the right spice level. The fish fillets were tender. There were black fungus and bean sprouts in the bowl too. Overall the dish was ok. However the rice that came with the fish fillet tasted old. Overall the food wasn't up to standard. I wouldn't return.

Yelp
CYPRESS, TX 77429 / CHINESE / 06-17-23 / DINNER -The customer service was terrible; no teamwork at all. -The place was dirty, dusty, and booths were run down. Flies buzzing around everywhere. -The dishes and utensils were dirty. -Each of our dishes came out like 15-20 minutes apart. -They didn't have any soy sauce, so they gave us little packets. -The Peking Duck's pancakes were over-steamed. -The soup dumplings were salty AF and tiny. -Pricing is not up to par with their products and service. -It took 10 minutes to get the check. If you are looking for good authentic Chinese food, go elsewhere.

Yelp
We decided to try this place since we were nearby at the outlet mall and didn't want to drive back south to the Bellaire area before heading back home to DFW. Looking for Asian food, we saw that they had Peking duck and soup dumplings on the menu so we were sold. Walking in, the interior is nice at first glance with lots of wooden beam accents, but looking at it closely, there were torn upholstery at multiple booths. Our party of 7 were seated right away since it was early dinner time. The young lady that was our server was friendly and offered suggestions when I told her it was our first time. Overall, we enjoyed our meal because we were hungry but nothing stood out enough to consider a return visit. Here's a breakdown of the food we ordered: Hot oil wontons - more soy sauce tasting than chili oil which made it salty Scallion pancakes - crispy and tasty, missing a dipping sauce though Pork soup dumplings - the soup inside was light and lacked a depth of pork flavor. The skin was thin and too fragile that resulted in them breaking upon picking up Beef fried rice - decent and standard although a bit on the oily side Stir fried green beans - would have liked a stronger garlic flavor but overall was good Pork belly with buns - nicely braised and tender meat, we liked it better than the duck Whole Peking duck - my main reason for coming here and was the biggest disappointment. The duck was dry and bland like it was not made fresh that day. The soup that came with it was pretty good after adding some chili oil. At $58 for the whole duck, it was a big letdown.

Yelp
Great food and service, I got the spicy soup with fried rice and lime in with pork dumplings and man the food servings were a lot, I couldn't even finish my plate so that says a lot

Melissa F.

Yelp
It was good in every way but not what I expected. We enjoy a restaurant called Din Tai Fung and we were expecting the soup dumplings to be similar. But they weren't. Also the shu mai (dumplings) weren't similar to our fave dim sum house in China Town. Clearly the service and ambience were nice and it isn't duck Bao's fault that we were hoping to find a place that rivals our favorites, just closer to home. If you have no preconceived notions, you will certainly enjoy this restaurant.

Briann H.

Yelp
I ordered this to go, and they got my order ready in a timely manner. We tried a couple different kinds of dumplings but our favorite were the three different kinds of soup dumplings! The ambiance inside the restaurant was very nice, it would be fun to sit and eat. The staff was also very nice.

Elena S.

Yelp
This was my first time here and it did not disappoint. The service was great and we got seated as soon as we walked in. It was pretty empty but we also got there around 6ish so it was kind of early for dinner. The interior was super cool and the tables and restaurant itself looked very clean. The food was BOMBBBBB!!!! It was probably some of the best food I have had in a while. I can't stop talking out it. For appetizers we had the hot oil wontons and crab and pork soup dumplings. They were soooooo good. For entrees I had the stir fried noodles with beef and my bf had the half peking duck. WOAHHHHH they were both so good. I highly recommend this place. I am excited to go back and try something new.

Maritza Z.

Yelp
I have been here twice & the food is AMAZING!!!! Servers are a tad bit slow, but their friendliness wins you over. The lychee martini is incredible & not overly sweet. We had it all and pretty much loved it all. The chicken soup dumplings were my least flavorful, the wontons in chili oil are amazing, beef & broccoli was yummy, the duck was delicious.

AnnMarie G.

Yelp
I guess the establishment had quite a few complaints about changing their Dumplings In Hot Oil. The original ones were great! Stuff you dream about going back for...very yummy and addicting. Well, as you might have read in my previous review, they changed it to Dumplings in Peanut Sauce and eliminated the hot oil! If you haven't already, go back and read my review. Fast forward to present day. I had heard the restaurant brought back the Dumplings in Hot Oil so I placed an order to pick up... we were very excited to get back our favorite dish. Here's the reason for my 2 star rating. Yes, they did bring back the hot oil but it wasn't THE hot oil. It was very sub-par. Noticeable difference in taste...and not at all appealing. They brought it back on the pretense it was the same thinking they could fool people. Can't fool those who have had and loved them the original way. So, I'm back to not going to order them any more. I didn't like how they handle that whole thing. Very underhanded in my humble opinion and you are setting your wait staff up for failure.

Trisha P.

Yelp
Food - Awesome, awesome, awesome!! I don't get to come here very often but when I do it is always so delicious!! These are the foods I took pictures of but I really had other stuff which were also so effing good!! Garlic Cucumber Salad, chicken eggrolls, pork soup dumplings, wonton soup, and pan fried noodles. So yummy !!! Service - the service was wonderful. Friendly, quick, and made sure that we were taken care of!! Not a single complaint to make! Ambiance has a lounge feel with good music. Good for date night.

David A.

Yelp
Everything we tried was exactly as described and served fresh and hot. Great selection of items but nothing really made them stand out among other area choices.

Md N.

Yelp
This place is very nice! Beautiful decor with very quick service. The food was overall very good, we came for the Peking Duck but the other dishes such as Crab & pork Soup Dumpling, Shrimp Fried Rice, Stir-Fried String Bean, and Jumbo Shrimp with Walnut outshined it! Will definitely be returning here

Amy Y.

Yelp
Our first time here and we will definitely be back! Service was fast and friendly and the food was SO good. We got the bao buns, soup dumplings, spicy Edemame, and pan fried dumplings, all amazing. Highly recommend!

Uyen T.

Yelp
Had a quick dinner with friends! It's on the pricier side, but I believe they have one of the best soup dumplings in Cypress if you don't want to travel to Bellaire or Houston. The service was quick however, the servers only came to fill up our drinks once and we didn't receive any vinegar or sauce for our dumplings. The table got crowded fast because our empty plates weren't being picked up, but other than that I would come again for the specialty food.

Kim H.

Yelp
Small family business -loyal client base and always great food!! Wishing them many years of success!

Leena C.

Yelp
Duck, duck, bao. First girls' birthday dinner in 2 years and here we are. Met up with 2 friends for a Friday dinner at 6 pm. The decor was nice and so was the staff. Our waitress was friendly and gave us some.gteat suggestions. We ordered the pork soup dumplings, the special mix dumplings, 1/2 Peking duck, crispy spicy chicken and the spicy shrimp with crispy rice. This is Sichuan spicy so it has slight numbing effect but nothing tooooo bad. The dumplings were good. The soup dumplings were flavorful and tender. The veggie one from the special mix was my favourite. The Peking duck was made nicely. Crispy skin with gender meat. It was served with the pancake style style wraps. Our favourite was the crispy spicy chicken. It was spicy but tasty. The crispy shrimp was good too but the rice cakes were a bit hard. Overall, the meal and service was on point. Would def visit again to try a few other entrees.

Tiana J.

Yelp
This is one of my FAVORITE places to get dumplings and a drink in Houston. I've been here a. Oriole times with my girlfriend and by myself and everytime it's a hit for me. The servers are always sweet and quick and it's a nice casual vibe. I will keep coming back for the spicy edamame, soup dumplings and the ginger panda drink (I cannot remember the actual name).

T L.

Yelp
The food is good... that's about it. When you walk in the door, you're met with a very interesting odor... Once you're here, you don't really recognize it. There is one or two servers that give really good service and definitely deserve a nice tip. My complaint today is the Diet Coke is flat. I told the server and he just smiled and said yeah we know. The manager came over and explained to me that he had tried to contact the vendor several times and they haven't come and helped. The big balls move of the restaurant is to go ahead and charge me $3.95 for a soda that is flat. Unbelievable. Now begins the debate... Do I return with my business or not?

Jennifer C.

Yelp
I highly recommend the Boa and Spicy Wonton. Absolutely phenomena! Cozy restaurant with very friendly staff. We had a hard time with the sewage smell throughout the restaurant when we first walked in but decided to stick it out and I'm very glad we did. Will be back for that Boa!!

Cindy T.

Yelp
Found this place on Yelp! And so glad we decided to try them out. Everything was delicious. Very friendly service. Great tasting food. Nice atmosphere. Great food without having to go to the southwest side of town near Chinatown.

Jessica N.

Yelp
So my cousin told me about this place and we ended up going to taste it. It was yummy and a very cute spot, we didn't order any alcoholic drinks but I did see how cute they were. Spicy garlic edamame peas- 7/10 they weren't giving the spicy garlic taste but more of a sour taste but they were good Garlic Cucumber salad- 10/10 Signature Lo Mein Shrimp- 10/10 Crispy Spicy Chicken- 3/10 it was disgusting in my opinion but my brother said it was okay. I asked the lady what was in it because it made my mouth numb she said probably the peppercorn. It made my mouth feel so weird I couldn't deal with it. my brother and cousin got all times of dumplings which they enjoyed for sure. Service was 10/10 attentive. I'd go back but not for that nasty chicken lol

Megan H.

Yelp
If I could give this resturant a zero star this would be it . If you're coming here for the pecking duck then it's a BIG mistake . The sauce is salty and the crepes are paper thin . Expect to pay fifty plus dollar for a duck that's over priced . The resturant looks like a high end atmosphere yet the service is terrible . Food is below average & prices are ridiculous . We came here bc the pic on Yelp looked good lol . Save your money & time to go dine elsewhere that is worth your money .

Kevin K.

Yelp
The food was awesome and the service was great. They have a really strong Long Island ice tea if you are into that. I would highly recommend

Timothy L.

Yelp
Please owner, hope you see this message I order here 1-4 times a month. I do not like waiting 15-20 minutes for them to make my order when Ive arrived and I already placed it online/over the phone 10-20 minutes prior. Please fix your system. I will change back to 5 star later.

Cassandra M.

Yelp
As a dim sum FIEND, this place is really not bad. The dim sum is pretty solid but like other reviews stated there is more potential with the higher than average price points. Got the: soup dumplings, pork pan fried, the purple, green, white pot sticker platter. Soup dumplings were good but could use a bit more flavor, needing more umami. Pork pan fried dumplings were my fave- so crunchy on the bottom and pork was good. But the medley of greens on the top was a bit overwhelming on the palette. Wasn't so harmonious with the dumpling contents and my friend and I found ourselves scraping it off. The colorful dumplings (purple, green, white) we're just ok. Not very flavorful and a bit too chewy. There's not a lot of dim sum choices in cypress so I would say this place is pretty solid for cypress but I could def see some areas of improvement to make the dim sum more out of this world. Service was ok, waitstaff seemed really indifferent to me and far from welcoming. But I did appreciate the consistent efforts towards keeping our table clean.

Ronald D.

Yelp
I really don't like to review restaurants after only one visit, but this one will be the exception since it provided me the best soup dumpling I've had in a long time. The only other item I had on this solo visit was the hot and sour soup which was also delightful, so at present my rating stands at number five and I can't wait to go back out.

Jessica P.

Yelp
The food is AMAZING. what this place lacks is service and cleanliness. I have visited twice and have not gotten sick. But the restrooms were filthy both times and the booth seats need to be reupholstered. There was a curious glass bowl on the window that looked like it was for a gold fish. No fish was I side but it have everything else an aquarium would have. Along with a note in Chinese I could not read with a date from years prior. The only thing that keep me from visiting this place more frequently is the lack of cleanliness.

Pidd W.

Yelp
Love the food and the ambiance. I gor the peking duck and the dumplings both were fantastic

Peter S.

Yelp
Been wanting the try this place out for a while. It's nice in side and the food is sub. It was alrite

Anthony N.

Yelp
Duck & Bao known for it roasted duck served with shredded, crispy skin and the meat is placed in Bao, then garnished with spring onions, cucumber and hoisin sauce. The main point is the the duck, 80% of the time seem to be good, some day duck not so fresh (dried not as juicy) but i guess its depending on the manager i may come back for another try but two out of three times are good do far!

Samantha J.

Yelp
I was really expecting more flavor. I love Chinese food and growing up it was like a Friday ritual to have Chinese for dinner. I'm from the Chicagoland area and I've come to the harsh reality that Texas Chinese food lacks a depth of soul that I am accustomed too. I ordered the beef fried rice and the duck with fixings. The fried rice had the flavor depths of a lean cuisine that you added a bit of fresh vegetables to and the duck was dry. I was most looking forward to the duck as it's in the namesake of this establishment I assumed they'd perfected their craft. I would have done better going to a Chinese grocer and getting the fresh smoked duck that the small shops inside often provide. I was disappointed because I like the mural one the side of the building and the friendly staff. Come on, guys :(

Iris L.

Yelp
What a hidden gem! I finally got the chance to come check out this restaurant. It's is beautifully decorated on the inside and your eyes are immediately drawn to the bar area where they hand make their dumplings and bao. We tried their pan fried beef bao and they were so delicious! But my favorite has got to be the chili oil wantons! The Chili's aren't spicy at all but does give it a nice kick...I couldn't get enough of that chili oil that I put that sauce on all my foods. We also enjoyed some scallion pancakes which were flaky and crispy. The short ribs had some toppings on the dish which we were delightfully surprised how delicious they were. But be aware, do not eat the small black round peppers because they do have a numbing sensation. Other than that the ribs were juicy and meaty. Overall, I will definitely be coming back to try more dishes!

Elisbet C.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem for sure!! We went over the weekend and enjoyed our food very much. I got the hot oil dumplings which were DELICIOUS. My fiancée got the Dry Pot w/ Veg which was enough for two! We'll definitely be back.

Jenna K.

Yelp
I used to LOVE this place. In fact there maybe be an older review where I wrote that 5+ stars was not enough. The last 3 times we have had it has been a bit of a disappointment. We have a pretty regular order that we have at least 2x a month and something is way different in the recipes. Unfortunately there is no consistencies anymore in the dishes. Still better than most Asian delivery places but will be taking it be taking it out of our rotation. The bao used to be a very juicy meatball and now it is a loose ground meat. The hot oil wontons were in a creamy peanut sauce , used to be a chili oil.

Kylena P.

Yelp
Saw this restaurant come up on Postmates but wanted to try it in person. So my husband and I ate here for Chinese New Year Our waitress, Linh, was very kind and checked up on us very often. The ambiance of this place is amazing! I didn't expect the inside to be so well decorated. It reminds me of some upscale PF Changs I've been to, but with way better food. We ordered the Sichuan Beef Jerky, expecting it to be similar to Thai Beef Jerky, while it wasn't quite a comparison it was very spicy and soft. My husband had the bright idea of putting some jerky on the Scallion Pancake topped with chili oil and it tasted amazing! Def try that trick out. The warm Sake tasted great, came in cute bottles, definitely hit us a bit before the food came out. Pork Soup Dumplings were as expected, the soup was very hot! But delectable, especially in some chili oil. Lamb Cumin wasn't exactly the best or most authentic dish. We like ordering this dish when we go Hunan restaurants in Chinatown. But I wasn't expecting it to be very authentic. And finally, the duck. I haven't had Peking duck for a long while, and my husband has never had Peking duck before although he is a duck fan. So so good. Amazing wrapped up in the paper thin rolls with some sauce and greens. I hadn't realized the order also came with a massive soup that we took him and ate the next day. So satisfied with everything! So glad we celebrated Lunar Year here

Vivian H.

Yelp
My silly bf and I went and it was so good. We got the garlic cucumber salad 7.5/10 it was overly garlicky but we added soy sauce and it made it better. Pork soup dumplings 7/10 a little underwhelming but still good we had the chicken lo mein 10/10 it was so good we gobbled it up it was so good that we ordered some shrimp lo mein to go. We ate it at the movies while watching M3gan . We recommend this place tbh.

Authentic Chinese food. I did not expect to find good soup dumplings in the suburbs. It is a pleasant surprise.

Yelp
First time here. Great crispy chicken egg rolls! Probably the best I ever had. I also tried the combination lo mein. It was very good. I'll be back for sure! The service that night was ok. I don't know if the young man was new or had things on his mind, but he was forgetful of things we asked for (3 times) like lemon for water, extra green onions in the shrimp fried rice, extra napkins, those kinds of things. I won't knock the place for less than average service (everyone has an off-night) because the food made up for it. I will knock them for not having fortune cookies though. The only Chinese restaurant I've ever been to that DIDN'T have fortune cookies available. Lol.

Yelp
The food was good we had the garlic cucumber salad, beef bao, & pork fried dumplings as an appetizer. All of them had good flavor and tasted really good. The service can't say the same when I gave our waiter our order and we asked for refills he was clearly annoyed with his bug eyed expressions he was serving as well.

Yelp
The duck is very fresh and crispy here. I think it's the best duck I ever had in the cypress area. I will come back again!!

Yelp
Do not order spicy dry pot chicken. It tastes horrible. I threw it out. One of the guy maybe the owner not sure was rude attitude to customers. Quite Pricey too.
