Ducky McShweeney’s Pub

New to Houston, went here for the first time and felt so welcome. Had already had dinner so just went for some drinks with my boyfriend. DJ was great with some fun throwbacks on a Friday night. TONY our bartender was so friendly and informative of all the food and upcoming events, can get sushi from next door. Great place to watch sports! Ended up grabbing a pizza to go! Can’t wait to come back!

I had such a great experience at Ducky McShweeney’s Pub! The food was delicious and exactly what you’d hope for in a cozy pub setting. The atmosphere was lively but still comfortable, perfect for enjoying a night out with friends. The happy hour deals are amazing from 11 to 6 every single day of the week! It’s hard to beat those prices and the variety they offer. What really stood out, though, was the service. Our server, Eliot, was absolutely fantastic friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. He truly added to the overall positive vibe of the night. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this spot to others!

From the welcoming by Tony, to the farewell, Ducky McShweeney's Pub was terribly magnificent. The recommendations Tiffany gave us on the food was spot on for what we like. Every bite, from the appetizers to the incredibly delicious Carrot cake and Creme Brule desserts, were amazing. I highly recommend because I am definitely going back next time I am in Houston.

I had the pleasure of visiting this place for a Christmas party last year 24. And this place is definitely a hidden gem. As I walked into the place i was taken away by the beautiful Christmas decorations that was placed throughout the bar. The people there was very nice and it seems everyone was just hanging out having a good time. What's surprise me more is the hidden bar that is through the employee only doors. Walking to the hidden bar upstairs, I was amazed at how l beautiful the decorations were there also. Upstairs included a full bar. Seating area such as booths and cozy sofas . They also had a man cave, which hold chairs made for kings as TVs surround the walls all around. The food was delicious. I will say I didn't care for their pizza but they fried chicken is definitely 100 out of 10. Bless the chef that fried that chicken.

My brother brought me here for the first time and I had an amazing time! I received amazing and QUICK service from Gina, Kalyse, and Cesar. I will be definitely be making this my new spot.

This pub has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere – the kind of place you can instantly relax in. The staff, such as Marta, are friendly, attentive, and make you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time. The drinks are well-poured, the food is hearty and flavorful, and everything comes out quickly. I really appreciate how clean and well-kept the space is, but it still keeps that classic pub charm. Whether you’re stopping by for a casual drink, catching up with friends, or looking for a spot to unwind after work, this pub is perfect. Highly recommend!

Great Crowd! They show the NHL playoffs went to see the stars play which is awesome! The service was phenomenal Elliot was attentive to my party, they had a great selection of THC seltzers. Would be coming back for sure!

Ducky McShweeney’s ambiance and vibes are one of the most chill spots in Houston to go to. This will be your go to place if you want to watch sports, have a good meal, and most importantly to have a great drink! Camille, Bartender, was very helpful and had great insights when it came to choosing drinks and food off the menu. She prepares good drinks and has the most friendliest attitude. She will acknowledge you and make sure that you are being taken care of, which is one of the many things that Ducky McSheeney’s place has to offer. Camille recommended the Lobster Crab Puffs as an appetizer, and it was so delicious! The Lobster Crab Puffs were in an egg roll with Kanikama, Cream Cheese, lobster, and tempura fried. In addition, the vegetables fried rice was so good and delicious! I highly recommend checking out this spot if you’re looking for a game to watch, great music, great food, and most importantly want a bartender friendly as Camille to make sure your experience is always great!

Good food, the grilled hamburger is the best I have had in a long time, ain't no smash burger here! great crowd, good ambiance, friendly staff and the manager is beautiful.

This was my first time visiting and it just happened to be a very busy night when UT/A&M were playing so I can't speak to how it is on a normal night. All I'll say is that on that night, that was not exactly my crowd and leave it at that. Also, that shuffleboard table really needs to be given a once over...I think someone had spilled a drink on it at some point so it's like a glue trap in the middle. Overall it's a nice bar in the Uptown Galleria area which surprisingly is lacking nice bars. I've been in the area for decades and I think there is one other pub in the area that's not a fancy restaurant. I mean this is kind of a nice place (and priced accordingly) too but you can have pizza and apparently the Sushi place next door is part of the same ownership and they even have a door between the places so it's casual upscale? I'm not sure how the sushi part works and whether you can order through the bar part but the staff was nice and would explain it to you better.

I was in Houston for a few days, and Ducky McShweeney's Pub was right around the block from my hotel, so I gave it a shot. Houston is very different than NOLA, and this felt like a typical suburban sports pub, but I was actually surprised to see so many regulars coming in on this Monday night. As I sat and watched the crowd, it felt like a neighborhood bar, just in a shopping center. I got service very quickly after I sat at my table(counter), ordered a beer and looked over the menu. Another person brought me the beer - was very friendly, and I ordered the Kobe Burger, and asked for no truffle oil on the fries. I was really good, and so were the fries. I did have to go to the bar to get my second beer, but no big deal. I think if I had sat at a traditional table, I may have gotten more "table service", but this was more of a counter in the center of the restaurant. Anyhow, with relatively low expectations, I left having enjoyed a very good burger and a couple of local beers, and was very satisfied with everything.

I checked out Ducky McShweeney's Irish Pub for an event on a Monday afternoon. Located in the Galleria area, I found a parking spot in the lot they share with several other businesses. First off, talk about an epic name for a bar. Downstairs, you'll find a long bar, plenty of seating, and bar games like shuffleboard. The event I attended took place upstairs. We had drinks and a buffet which included pizza, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, caprese skewers, and cookies. Classic bar fare for the most part. The food was meh. Lack of execution pretty much across the board. The type of place where you have a meal and you think to yourself, I should stick to drinks here. As a pub, there were a good amount of TVs which is what you're looking for. And the upstairs area is cool with a man cave vibe and a nice bar.

This place is truly amazing, I can't wait to go back. I haven't tasted a good bread pudding like that ever!! My gosh. And the crab fried rice, my goodness. Shout out to my waitress Joanna. I hope I said it right she was a true gem, and her service was perfect, and her recommendations. Recommend this place to anybody I hope they can get another location in the future! I love Ducky's!! We had a small birthday celebration here and every thing was amazing. The food was great, the service was phenomenal and the atmosphere was electric!! Thank you to the staff for helping me and my friends enjoy this celebration!!

What can I not say about this experience! Top notch treatment from the moment I entered. We visited during lunch and the vibe was so chill yet super inviting. Customer service was so personable, knowledgeable and friendly. You can't go wrong with any food choice on any of the menus. This place has it all including an awesome happy hour! Going here is an absolute must. My new weekly spot for sure!

We stopped in here several times on a weekend visit. Great atmosphere, servers and bartenders are friendly. There are tables to eat at, high tops and then lounge like areas to sit and drink/chat with friends. There is also shuffle board and darts. Drinks are good! We didn't eat from this menu, but they are joined with the sushi place next door and it was 10/10 so delicious! We ordered three rolls and all three were so good!

I love this place! Food is great from the Sushi Bar! Pizza is amazing here also! The service is A1! Our favorite bartender, Cesar, made an impression on us when we can the second time and remembered both our names! We were in awe!!!! We come here (or at least I do) for him! He made this spot amazing for me! Love the ambiance too it's fun! Love it here! Been coming since! Karaoke is here too! Definitely recommend!

Love this cute Irish upscale nonsmoking sports bar and eatery. With TVs situated around the whole restaurant and darts set up in the back, it gives a feel of coziness and comfort. There are couches situated throughout the area and you can even order sushi off the menu from the restaurant next door. We ordered a few items from their happy hour menu.Fried mozzarella not a healthy choice however delish and can't be good all the time right? The table shuffle board at entrance was also fun and nostalgic. Customer service was excellent and their manager even came by a few times to make sure we were taken care of. Location: easy to find in Galleria area on Post Oak Parking: plentiful Customer service: Excellent Return: have been a few times and most likely would again.

First time coming to this PostOak Irish bar for some darts, shuffle board and happy hour. Could not believe what a cool chill atmosphere it was with very attentive staff. Was able to watch a few football games at a time due to many screens . Plenty of parking and comfortable couches for happy hour snacks and a glass of vino. The manager even came by a few times to make sure we had been taken care of. Will be back soon.

What a great pub!! Excellent happy hours, fantastic bar staff, TV's are everywhere. Ambiance a 10/10. We lucked in to a ribeye steak here one evening and it was to die for. Couches to sit on, darts , shuffle board! Just fyi you can even order off restaurant next doors sushi menu! Parking galore, and right in heart of galleria area. There is nothing not to like about Ducky's!

I sat at the bar. There was a lot of staff hanging out at the bar distracting the bartenders. This was my first visit. I will try again.

Wait staff spilled an entire glass of water on my pants while cleaning off a table. I wasn't initially upset bc I understand that mistakes happen. However, they offered nothing to compensate for the mistake. The manager then became upset and hostile when I asked if they could at least offer a few free drinks for the inconvenience of having to walk around with soaking wet pants.

Sweet pub!! Great for watching sports, happy hours, relaxing, or just looking for a good time. They're also connected to the sushi spot next door which was so good!! Solid spot for a martini or cocktail. If you're going to eat anything catch Camille on steak night were she absolutely kills it. Love the ribeyes here and the tamarind sauce they use for the veggies is to die for.

Live in the neighborhood and just recently noticed this cute place...will definitely be back! Cool neighborhood place to meet friends and relax. Beer was cold and the Jack/Coke was mixed perfectly! We didn't order food, but will next time. Great place to watch sports + they were playing a Star Wars movie for the non-sports person. Waitstaff were super chill and nice.

Good bar not great restaurant. We came for a quick bite as we were at a local hotel for a conference. They do not have dedicated wait staff.

Great pub with upmarket atmosphere, and fun bartenders. Both bartenders took their turns at Karaoke, I was impressed. Great, friendly service all night. Awesome happy hour specials, though pints ($8.50) at other times of the night I'd argue are a tad pricey. Nice selection of Irish whiskey but also pricey at something like $22 or $28 for Yellow Spot. I did not get to try the food, but I appreciate a pub, even something of a posh one, in a sea of posh Post Oak places. If you are on business or posted up in a serviced apartment nearby this place is a welcome reprieve. Large TVs and very comfortable bar seats and lounge seating abound makes this a comfortable hangout. I'll be back when staying in this area.

Had a work-related happy hour here and had a great time! The cocktails were great (I was especially fond of the Raspberry Things) and the vibes were perfect. A good variety of seating available, including couches, booths, tables, and of course, the bar. Also a good variety of food, ranging from sushi to your typical bar food. They also had a Trivia Night when we went, which was a ton of fun. Overall, I highly recommend, whether for a work outing or just an evening out with friends!

Ducky McShweeneys is one of my fav bars in Houston! Always a wonderful vibe. The drinks and food are so delicious. They have an underrated Brunch that i highly recommend! The Mimosa set up is so great!

I really enjoyed the ambiance and the drinks. I honestly was hoping that it was an Irish pub that it would of had more of a selection for Irish food.. It must be pretty new cause I don't see many photos on here. I still believe it is a great place to watch the game. Super spacious and clean. Definitely recommend for a chill first date.

Think we found a new spot!!! Definitely will return!!! Love Love Love the atmosphere! Very diverse crowd, good music, friendly staff! The decor is everything! Very unique, quirky, modern, chic, upscale, fun, etc! For drinks we ordered Old Fashion, Paloma and Margarita. All were great! We also ordered food: Bangers & Mash and Chicken Tenders. We came for Sunday brunch and were pleasantly surprised as we had read some bad reviews online. The breakfast pizza is big enough for two and is delicious! I was skeptical of scrambled eggs on a pizza but it turned out very well. Our table also had the burger, and pancakes, which were fine. The ambience is nice, like a cigar lounge of yonder. Staff were decent. Parking was easy as this pub is part of a larger uptown shopping complex. There were several games such as darts and shuffleboard, and large tvs. Very nice place. Shares the kitchen with the sushi place next door - maybe they could offer the full sushi menu! Ha!

Shepherds pie does not have beef in it . It has lamb . Also why you ruining it with gravy . Pure mush . Perhaps you should ask Gordon Ramsey do him to save your menu.

Less than impressed. Hoping the next game our group comes to watch here, is better. The place is really nicely decorated, seating is comfortable. The food was mediocre. Pizza was expensive and way to thin, about half the slice was soggy, flavor was ok. The queso has an off flavor, but edible, it's a step above the nacho cheese machine cheese. The service was not good at all. You never knew who your waiter was! There was like a different person every time coming to the table when we had to go request something, since no one really checked on our table. I sat for like 10-15 mins and finally someone asked if I wanted a drink, brought drink and then tried to hurry away, I had to ask for a menu. Waited like 25-30 mins finally had to go to the bar, and ask someone to take our order. No one ever came to ask if we needed drinks refilled, napkins or how the food was.. they would literally drop your food and take off!! I was served one small glass, and never once the entire 3 hours I was there for the game, was asked do I need a refill, others got up and went to the bar to ask for it. And it wasn't super busy when we first got there not for a good hour. I could understand if it was. But at least check on ur table a few times an hour!!

This is my first time coming here but it was well worth it. We were greeted immediately upon our arrival and seated. The server was efficient, knowledgeable about the menu and gave great items for our first time here. Since it was brunch time we ordered Mother Duckin' Waffles and the McShweeney's Pie. Both were very tasty and cooked to perfection. We shared our meals and the pie with all the normal egg, sausage, bacon and cheese item was like having two of my favorite things together (pizza and breakfast).

A relaxed but elevated pub located near the Galleria, Ducky McShweeney's is a nice place to grab a drink on a quiet afternoon. We stopped in on a Sunday and enjoyed a glass of white and draft Irish beer on the patio. Great for people watching, I would return again for another drink and perhaps a bite to eat in their well-decorated and chill interior.

Not worth the money. Looks nice. Over priced. Other spots in area better. Some of the staff are good but there is a lack of communication. No fans for outdoor seating.

Some of the best pizza I've ever had at a bar. The bartenders are nice and attentive! The drinks are always good and I love how they improvise whenever they don't have something in stock to make the drink you requested. But that's where my one star knocked off comes into play, they are almost always out of certain ingredients here. Also I think the darts board need to be replaced, it's falling apart.

Michaela is the best! She makes a good drink and shot. Takes good care of me every time I come and everyone else behind the bar as well.

The only reason I love this bar is because I love Chau's singing on Karaoke night! I love her customer service and please bring back karaoke!!!!

First time here. The interior looks nice but the experience itself was pretty bad. First, we went for brunch on Saturday primarily because one of our friends wanted the mimosas with the ducks. So we ordered the very expensive mimosas but there were no ducks. The server did not let us know and put the order in anyway. Second, even though they advertise having brunch their kitchen doesn't open until 11 am so we had to wait for our food. We got the platter that said it could feed 4-6 but it could probably only feed 2. For such a simple meal it was very overpriced. This place seems fine if you want to grab a beer and watch a game but for anything else I would not recommend.

The Food was very good (Chicken-Wings & Fish & Chips) but the service was HORRIBLE!!! With only one other party in the place, I waited 20 mins before I could get our server's attention to request a refill on just some water! They were more interested in opening the space next door which looked like a club. I would not go back. It doesn't matter how good the food is if the service is excruciatingly bad!

I came here on a Sunday evening and it wasn't packed, but wasn't dead. Parking is easy enough and the inside has a pretty great atmosphere. There were tvs showing the football game, comfy couches and of course seating at the bar. We sat on one of the couches and there was no service there, we had to go to the bar to order but that was fine. I did see some games around, darts and connect 4, and it seemed to be a casual place, but on the higher side of casual. The music was a good mix of classic "American" songs and some newer pop or whatever it was lol. Decent. I tried the Raspberry Things drink and it was really good. Also ordered some chicken nachos and they were really good too. A good portion and the taste was great. I would definitely go back and also recommend this place to others.

Food was tasty but service needs some work! I came here on a Sunday with a party of 4. Our server was also the bartender, so she was very busy and couldn't check in with us often. It took a very long time for the food to come out, and then when it did, only 2/4 dishes made it to the table. About 10 minutes later, the third dish came out, but we were still missing one. It took another 5-10 for the last dish to come out and everyone else was done eating. The server was very apologetic, and even removed 2 of the entrees from the check, which I really appreciate. This place has a lot of potential. Hopefully they can work out service and timing in the kitchen

Dissatisfied. Eat here occasionally and have a couple of drinks. Always get their Kobe beef Ducky Dog--it's a great oversized dog and bun with chips--really good. At least it used to be. Was there yesterday and ordered the Ducky Dog and was served a regular size hot dog and chips--same price. They said nothing. When I asked what happened they said the distributor downsized it. Sure.... I would have been happy to pay more for the original Ducky but they made a different decision. Won't go back felt a bit insulted.

Visited this bar for the first time on a Friday night with a friend. It has a very romantic atmosphere inside. They have a good selection of tequila and whiskey, as well as a few bites to eat. I think their prices are very reasonable. There's parking available for free so don't have to stress about that. Good first date spot! Bartenders were awesome!! Looking forward to coming back soon.
