Fresh seafood, natural wines, and the best burger in LA.

"Dudley Market catches most of the seafood they serve at their Venice restaurant on the team’s very own fishing boat. That’s a little bit tougher with oysters, but you’ll still predominantly see West Coast varieties on the menu. These come with a pepper-lime mignonette and pair well with their extensive list of natural wines. This place is bright and airy, and remains shockingly tourist-free for how close it is to the beach (if you’re sitting in the right seat, you can see the water). They’ve also got some of the friendliest staff around." - sylvio martins, nikko duren
"After an hour at Dudley Market, you’ll feel like you’ve joined a club of sommeliers who also know a lot about fishing. This fun seafood spot is about a block from the beach and it's a great place to show off LA to an out-of-towner or potentially just someone with cool shoes. The restaurant team operates its own boat. So if you see something fishy on the menu, there's a good chance it was swimming when you woke up this morning. We especially like the bluefin tataki, clam and pork toast, and whole-fried fish, but the buger with bacon-onion jam—decidedly not from the ocean—is one of our favorite burgers in the city." - brant cox, sylvio martins, nikko duren
"Say hello to our favorite fancy restaurant burger in Los Angeles. A beefy, perfectly cooked patty, cheddar cheese, dill aioli, fresh arugula, and a caramelized onion-bacon jam on a brioche bun—Dudley’s burger is special. It’s sweet and savory, briny and peppery, and something you’ll want to remember forever. You should come to this Venice spot for seafood (the place is located a block from the beach). But if you skip the burger, you’re living a lesser existence." - brant cox, cathy park, sylvio martins, garrett snyder
"Not only does Dudley Market serve some of our favorite seafood dishes in Los Angeles, this overachieving neighborhood spot also has a fantastic location one block off the Venice boardwalk— just far enough from the vaping rollerbladers and tourists commissioning airbrushed t-shirts. If eating silky crudos, fish tacos, or tom kha clams while gazing at the sunset isn’t on your Things I Enjoy In Life list, we have serious questions. Stick around after dark for vinyl DJs and tall glasses of whatever mineral-forward white the surfer sommelier is loving this month." - brant cox, sylvio martins
"“If you’ve got a roommate, chances are, you’re already feeling like Robert Pattinson in The Lighthouse, so you might as well lean into it and order dinner from Dudley Market in Venice. Open for outdoor dining and pick-up, they put their fishing boat to good use, and every day they’re offering fresh-caught fish, not to mention favorites like their pork and clam toast and The Dudley Burger. Unfortunately, Dudley doesn’t sell lobster, which means no one will get to shout ‘You’re fond of me lobster!’ before invoking Neptune’s fury.” - JM" - brant cox, kat hong, brett keating, james montgomery
