Due’ Cucina Italiana - Review - Capitol Hill - Seattle - The Infatuation

"“Healthy” and “pasta” are two words that don’t usually go in the same thought bubble. However, Due’ Cucina tries to make it work with their ancient grain dough that has its own nutritional explanation listed on a chalkboard. You choose your sauce from options like carbonara 2.0 with pork belly and grated egg yolk, or braised hen with citrus. Then, decide your homemade fresh pasta shape, and your dish is made to order. While the novelty of it is a noble thing to try, healthy carbonara is sad. The cubes of house-cured pork belly were great, but none of that flavor permeated throughout the rest of the pasta or sauce. We’ll take our carbs unhealthy." - Aimee Rizzo

💰 Price: Very reasonable — most pasta dishes are $13–$17, a solid value for handmade quality. 👥 Crowd: Can get busy during dinner and weekends, but lines move quickly. 🌳 Atmosphere: Modern and relaxed, with plenty of seating compared to the smaller Capitol Hill location. Great for a casual dinner or quick bite. 🚗 Transportation: Easy to get to with plenty of parking in the Totem Lake area. 🤝 Service: Fast, friendly, and efficient — staff are helpful if you’re trying pasta for the first time.

Perfect carbonara. Nice sauce, tasty, perfect size and the price is a very good one. Definetly I recommend this place to eat a very good pasta! Me and my friend ate 2 portions

After a long day exploring Pike Place Market, we were pleasantly surprised to have had some of the best Italian pasta dishes ever at this restaurant! The Alla Caponata + Fusollini pasta option was absolutely superb - all of the sauce components worked phenomenally to make the best pasta sauce I’ve had! The Sourdough Focaccia, too, was stunning - crunchy outside yet pillowy and perfectly sour in taste. I’m going to miss this meal for a long, long time!

I ordered the Basil and Pesto casarecca. It was delicious. I wish they had more appetizer options. A little chaotic environment in terms of seating and service, but not bad.

My wife and I tried it first time. We were so impressed with the order method and made it for us. We ordered our food. At first, we felt it is not enough now we are so wrong! I ordered cacio & Pepe pasta. I added chicken meatballs. Omg it was so juicy in my mouth. Feels like I am in Italy which is I never touch Italy yet! It is creamy but not very creamy which is so perfect!! My wife ordered smoked salmon pasta. She was so pleased with this. It has pine nuts and capers which made her fell in love with it. She knew this restaurant is authentic Italian because she used to visit Italy like 20 years ago. She know the difference between America Italian and Italian food. She said this one is the best so far. The taste was so simple yet perfect. She was full after eating 3/4 of it and I ate her 1/4 pasta. Agreed with her about perfect creamy pasta with pink salmon. Worth it! We will come again and she wants to try kale pesto. She is a fan of kale and salmon. The service is great! Easy find it

Order from the website. Every time, Exceptional service of delivery fast. The only place in town that has traditional Sicilian Canollo. They outbdo Kelli Canolli and Canollo because they make a different less sweet and traditional type. This restaurant still has fair prices compared to the rest of the area. Amazing noodles and couldn't say anything isn't less than fantastic.

We recently tried Due’ Cucina in Capitol Hill, and the whole setup felt more like a fast food joint than a sit-down Italian restaurant. You order through a kiosk, pick up your food yourself, grab your own cutlery and water, and are expected to return your dishes afterward. It’s efficient, but definitely lacks the warmth and service you’d typically expect from an Italian place. The menu is limited, and portion sizes are smaller than what you’d find at similar spots. My husband ordered the traditional Bolognese ragu, which was unfortunately borderline raw and tough to chew. I went with the mushroom and white truffle oil pasta—it was okay, but nothing out of the ordinary. We also shared a tiramisu, and again, it was just okay—we’ve had much better elsewhere. Overall, not too excited to go back. The fast-food vibe and underwhelming food made it a one-time experience for us.

Good homemade pasta. The location was ok. A few homeless walk around. Ordered food on the kiosk, then paid and waited for your food. Grab a table anywhere in the restaurant you want.
