Kiiya helped us today and she was absolutely amazing! A total blast, she was so funny and helped coach us all night! And some of us definitely needed the extra assistance!! We will definitely be back just to see her smiling face!! Savanna the bartender was a gem all evening rooting us on! You better come here for all your fun needs! If I could give a 10 out of 10 I would!

Stopped in here randomly to check it out and was very pleasantly surprised! The bartender/manager Alyssa was super inviting and greeted us as soon as we walked in. She explained how renting a throwing lane works and said we could just hang out at the bar if we wanted to as well. We ended up throwing the axes and knives (the knives were my favorite) for 1 hour and then spent an additional 1.5 hrs sitting at the bar. The drinks were delicious!! We tried the "Pineapple Upside Down Cake," "Strawberry mint lemonade," and the shot of the month "Christmas Toast Crunch." They had some snacks for sale as well. They were nice because they weren't the little bags that you only get 2 bites from, but bigger bags that actually satiate you. Alyssa's knowledge of the alcohol and their drinks was pretty impressive. Not as impressive as her knowledge of football 😉 but close. She was awesome and we will be back many more times. To throw axes and knives and to just hang out at the bar.

We had a great time here. Kia was very kind and hilarious— great personality. We had great conversation with her and Alyssa and Shawn(Sean? Shaun? Great guy). We will remember our visit here very fondly. Thank you from Samir, Dylan, and Jacky!

We had our company Christmas party here and it was a fun and unique experience. Throwing the axes was fun but the knifes were an added bonus and my personal favorite. We capped it all off with an axe throwing tournament. The staff members remained engaged to ensure everyone had a great experience. They also kept the food and drinks coming. I highly recommend dueling axes for anything from a date night to a group event. You will be sure to have a great time!

We were there as a work Christmas Party. We had a Great time. Jackson and the other staff that helped, ( I personally did not catch their names) were Amazing. We only had the Cookie dessert, and it was Very Delicious. My husband and I are considering bringing our own children for a Family outing. First time here and we loved it!! The staff was wonderful and friendly. They taught us how to throw and were helpful throughout the evening . In one hour, as a group of four, we were able to practice and play two games. Definitely will come again. Lots of street parking near by.

This was my first axe throwing experience and I'll be the first to say I was a bit intimidated going in, but overall this was a really fun time! The space has a lumber-y vibe, BYOB and some snacks, you'll be good to go! You'll have your own lane, but most likely a shared table at some point with a different party. No biggie though. I appreciated the crash course lesson before hand because it helped me a ton! Keep that axe to forearm ratio at 90 degrees! Thank you for having us.

A fun way to spend an evening! My wife and I decided to try out Dueling Axes for our date night and had a great time! The staff was very friendly and helpful in teaching us how to properly throw and gave us some tips along the way too as this was our first time. We went to the 4th street location and a huge bonus for this spot is that it's BYOB and you can bring in your own food as well. Makes for an inexpensive and fun date night. They recommend you reserve a lane ahead of time online as the lanes can fill up quickly. Great for large groups too! We'll be back!

Went to Dueling Axes for a work holiday party. There was our party and one more group throwing axes. The instructions took what seemed like a really long time to go over. I understand the importance of safety but there was a lot of rules. They would need a lot of associates working on busy nights to spend a half hour with each group going over everything. When we first got there is was cold in the building but warmed up once we started throwing axes. The space itself is beautiful. The lanes, the lights, all the wood and metal make it a fun space to enjoy. We had a group of six and asked if we could be on two lanes, we were told no by the staff. We didn't bring our own drinks so waiting for five other people to throw got tedious after awhile. For larger groups I recommend either getting two lanes or having drinks or something else to do while you wait for your turn. They have different games you can play and you write your scores on a chalkboard. There is only one ax per lane and one person allowed in the lane at a time. The staff is really friendly and take their time teaching you proper throwing stances. Overall it is a good time and fun to say you went ax throwing!

Fantastic experience! Booked online with 3 friends and had a blast! Social distancing guidelines were in effect and enforced consistently so I felt safe. Action was fun and quick to pick up. We did so much damage to the boards in they let us take a slat home! Newly introduced digital scoring made it simple to keep up with bragging rights between friends. BYOB (bring your own beer) feature makes this place hard to beat...but they also sell drinks! Will come again for sure. Such a fun, out of the ordinary experience!

Kicked off my birthday weekend with some axe throwing! If you sign up for their emails, you might get a birthday discount! The staff is always so nice, helpful and gets you set up quickly! I love they they now have touch screen computers and tv screens to keep up with your scores! We just did an hour session, and my bestie and her boyfriend (who had never done it before) loved it! It's BYOB and BYOF, can have both delivered. Street and lot parking close by. Fun for girls night, family fun or a date night!

This place was so fun.. My wife planned this this my birthday and it didn't disappoint.. Plenty of room to social distance but not a huge place. Maybe 10-15 bays. Can fit parties. There is someone there to help you if you need assistance on learning to hit target and throw the ax.. Bring your own beer and snacks. Which is pretty cool. But didn't know that until we were already there. Good thing we had 6 pack in the car we just picked up.

This place is awesome! I've been meaning to go for years now to try ax throwing, and finally my company went as a team building activity this month. I was skeptical about whether I'd really enjoy it or not, but it turned out to be a blast! I've actually already gone back again since this trip because I enjoyed it so much. The facility is BYOB and bring your own food - so the options are endless for what you can eat and drink while there, and it helps save you a ton of money from what you can imagine a place like this would charge for food and beverage. To me, it's a no-brainer that if you're looking to do some casual drinking before a night out, it makes sense to do an hour of ax throwing and bring in your own drinks and snacks for your time there. It's also in a convenient downtown location for heading out after. The staff is super informative and available when needed! They start by going over the safety guidelines and teach each and every person how to properly throw. It might seem easy, but it definitely takes a few rounds to get the hang of it! They also offer a number of games that you can go through and play, which is helpful for making the best use of your time. While I may not continue to go a few times a month, like this month, I will definitely go a few times a year and recommend any one who hasn't yet before to do the same! Perfect way to let out some stress or anger from a long week.

We had such a great time at the a New Albany location. Nick was a great coach and gave us great tips as we played. Other staff members were so helpful as well! Overall, one of the best times three four of us have had.

Great experience! Was very nervous before because I've never been and I wanted a good date night with my partner. Not only was it a fun night but all the workers there were so kind and very helpful. So joyful the minute we walked thru by the employee, (unfortunately forgot to get their name but was a sweetheart) at the door, never hesitate to lend a helping hand from our favorite worker tonight 'Mark' (he was amazing!) overall an awesome place to be and 10/10 would recommend !

I had a great time throwing axes here! I was invited by a friend who won a party from a fundraising event we had. First off, I contacted the owners before they were even open for business and they were immediately happy to help out by donating some passes for our event. They were very friendly and great to work with. I was able to see the space they built before it was done. The woodwork in here is just amazing! Our friend set up a time for the party to come and we were greeted immediately when we walked in. We were given instructions on signing a waiver and taken to our axe throwing area. We were each shown how to throw axes, given some helpful tips and then let go for some friendly competition! The space is BYOB as well as food, and they have menus to check out for delivery options. There are some TVs to watch as well. One last thing to note: they offer leagues! Definitely check this spot out!

If you are looking to do something outside of your normal scope of interactive activities. Then this is definitely one of the things that you would want to do. Axe throwing is surprisingly fun and relaxing. Be careful though because it can also become quite competitive. I came here with my 12 year old son and his friend one night to do this and they had a great time. So it's definitely a family activity. The thing you want to be aware of when you come here is that they are not a full service food establishment. You pretty much bring your own everything or you can order from the plethora of restaurants from around the area and either bring your vittles in or have them delivered. There is a side machine present as well but it's all Pepsi products and if you like coke (the drink people not the drug smh) you will be out of luck. The facility is nice and clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They pretty much just instruct you on how to throw and how to do it in a safe manner. They provide you with a list of options for games and then leave you to be to fling axes. I would definitely like if you had your own instructor guiding you through the games.

This is one of the most fun and unique activities I have done lately. Throwing axes sounds a little scary and maybe doesn't sound like your idea of a fun time but I highly recommend you participate anyways. It's a little pricey but so worth it. Before you start you sign a waiver and get instructions and a demonstration. The guys that helped us were so great! They will also show you some games that you can play and after reminding you of the basic rules again will leave you to throw axes! Once you get the hang of it and get into the games your hot long session will fly by faster than you think. You're also able to bring your own beer/snacks!!! Your group will have a table so whoever isn't throwing can drink and watch the throwers. I have been twice and loved each time more than I expected to.

When the Dueling Axes place was suggested to me, I thought it would be fun, but I didn't know what to really think. I thought that I would probably be bad, since I never done anything like that before. But I wanted to give it a try. When we got there I was smaller than I thought it would be. It had about 6-7 lanes for ax throwing. Separated with black gates. Once we checked in and got to our table/lane. We got precise instructions and rules on what we can do and what we can't do. I'm sure it's annoying for the instructors to give that speech every time. But he went through it with a smile on his face. Then he showed us how to throw the axe and technique. Then watched us try to throw practice throws. He was very helpful and even came back around a lot to help everyone with their throws and technique. The instructors even show you multiple games and how to play them. I was pretty good at throwing the axes. Which is something I wasn't expecting. I was not thinking I would actually be good at it. But surprisingly I was a natural. And the competitive nature or throwing against friends also made it more fun for me as well. This place is BYOB. So you have to bring what you want to drink yourself. It would be a lot more "Lit" if they had their own bar. But I can sort or see why they don't. You don't want a lot of drunk people walking around with axes in their hands This place was really fun. Ill definitely go back and throw axes again. Especially since ms so good lol. You can enjoy this with friends and family. This can get competitive, so be prepared. This is perfect for a date or casual meet up with someone.

I recently came here with a friend to take part in their event RelAxe. For this event we spent the first hour completing a yoga session and the second hour throwing axes. First, this place is really nice. A lot of the character of the building was preserved and it makes for a gorgeous space. The yoga was okay, but the real excitement came when the axe throwing began. The staff take a lot of time to explain all of the rules, demonstrate throwing, and coach anybody who is new before any throwing begins. Each person completes a couple test throws under the watchful eye of the staff, and receives some tips and tricks to throw a successful axe before going off on their own. I really appreciated this because it helped ease my nerves! One of my favorite parts was that you can bring in your own food and drink (alcohol is allowed just no liquor) to consume during your session. The whole vibe is very relaxed yet safe and supportive. I really enjoyed my time here, got in a great workout, and gained some confidence in my axe throwing skills. I would love to come back for another event!

This was such a fun activity. Throwing axes is something you'd never think you'd do, but ends up being a great way to have fun and get some aggression out at the same time. :) The location was great - within walking distance of Mikey's Late Night Slice And Dirty Frank's, And with ample parking in either lots or on the street. The only reason why this doesn't get 5 stars is because it's a little pricey ($35/person for an hour), but it's definitely a fun activity every once in a while. You'll discover your true strength and laugh with friends at the same time! Also: this location allow BYOB, so it would be a fun date night.

I've always wanted to try axe-throwing! This was my first time and they were so friendly and patient when trying to teach me the correct technique. It ended up being a lot of fun and quite the workout! I love that you can drink while you are throwing. Great for a social event for work or friends. I'll definitely be back.

Oh my gosh I don't know how to start this review but I first came here for a yelp event, So I thought I'll come back on my own to see if I get the same type of service and I absolutely did Miss Tara was so nice and sweet to me and she remembered me from the event. Unfortunately there was a wait time as there was a large party ahead of me. Which I didn't mind I just went to the walrus around the corner for a drink! It's my birthday so why not to kill time!!! Well I cAme back and it was finally my turn I ordered some rib from a bbq spot around the corner. Then I went and had a few throws in! I sucked so bad!!!!! I was better the first time lol! But Tara and I can't remember the other young lady was rooting me on and encouraging me to keep trying (loved the positivity). They gave me some tips and tricks and I had a blast! This is a great stress reliever and somewhere to relax! I went by myself as a birthday treat to me so it was very soothing! I will definitely be back! BRING LOSTS OF CHANGE FOR THE METERS!!!!

Made reservation for my sisters birthday and we were so obsessed and excited we extended our time by another half hour! The staff was so helpful and attentive. They definitely made the night well worth it and we will be back! Also may be joining the weekly league...

Awesome experience! I can't throw for anything but you're allowed to spectate (just as fun, to be honest). Everyone there was nice and helpful. The Walrus delivers food and drinks (canned) which is super convenient, or you can bring your own food/drinks. It makes for a nice and comfortable atmosphere.

Such a FUN experience! So different! We had a blast! We may not be expert axe throwers, but we had so much fun it didn't matter! It is a bit pricier than we are usually willing to spend, but I'm glad we did it. They teach you how to throw the axe properly and they also watch you throwing to give you pointers. We really had a good time.

We went to Dueling Axes on Feb. 9th right when they opened at 5pm and we had SO much fun! It was the perfect time because it wasn't very busy but business started picking up right when we were leaving at 6. The employees were super friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in Columbus!

I had a blast at dueling axes! I love how you can BYOB and food! This place is perfect for both small and large groups. It can be intimidating at first, but all of employees are very welcoming and make sure you're informed and ready to go. I can't wait to go back!

We wanted something different to do for a birthday so thought this sounded fun. The people in our party were coming from work so we needed to eat and enjoy throwing axes. I called ahead and they said they had tables and a lounge so having food would not be a problem as a matter of fact they said bring a cake and a cooler of beverages (beer or wine) too! We stopped at Katzinger's and bought sandwiches. I grabbed a bag of chips and veggies as well as a cake and some beers. We arrived a bit early and were waiting on the rest of our party of 6. The lounge area was a couch and a coffee table. The people who were using the area to throw near the lounge had staked their claim to the couch as well as the half a table and a few stools they had near their area. We ended up standing and eating our sandwiches as there was not space to eat. I never did get the chips and veggies out as there really wasn't room for that. Once we all arrived (20 min before our start time) they started with our instructions. We kind of felt a bit rushed even though they had empty lanes. They took us to a lane and we started playing. One of our party members had been to the competitor company so he knew how to play the games. We were given papers with different games to play. We of course had one hour to play. It was fun but with a party of 6 and empty lanes I would have thought they would have given us 2 lanes. ‍ All in all it was fine. I would suggest going to dinner then stopping here for your hour of entertainment then moving on to something else. This is not a place to "spend a few hours". It was different and fun. We just felt rushed.

My family took my dad here for Father's Day and it was incredible. I highly recommend it to everyone who asks for something new or exciting to do on the weekends. The safety demonstration was really beneficial and calmed some of my nerves about the act of throwing sharp objects. The prices were great and I liked the idea that you could bring in your own food and alcohol. It's family friendly and a really great time. I will say it is very difficult to find due to low hanging tree branches that cover the sign.

Such a fun place. We booked our private company event here. The staff was great to work with on planning the entire event. On the day of the event they went above and beyond to make sure everyone was involved and having a good time. They helped organized multiple games to play with our group of 55. Thanks again for allowing us to host our event at Dueling Axes.

Fun and unique activity. The layout of the space is nice, BYOB aspect could be a pro or con depending on your perspective but we enjoyed being able to bring our own alcohol. Staff was nice and our assigned "coach" was helpful without micro-managing. My only issue is with the pricing method and how lanes are booked. They charge per person, not by lane/booth. So our party of 5 payed almost $195 and had to split one lane for an hour. The place was almost empty, we thought they would give us 2 lanes to use. We could have (hypothetically) each made our own reservation and for the same amount of money had 5 own lanes to use. For $39 per person (after tax) for an hour, I'd say it's over priced and falls into the "cool to do once" category but I don't think I'll be back any time soon. It seems like a different pricing model would make more sense, such as charging $x per lane plus $y per person (eg $50 per lane and then $15 per person). We just felt like we were getting ripped off a little.

We've been to Dueling Axes twice now, and both times have been great! The instruction is quick and simple, while the various games they teach are fast and fun. We ate at each of the restaurants next door (Pecan Penny's and The Walrus), and enjoyed both. We'll be back.

An perfect place to spend a evening with friends or even a date! Its BYOB so you can bring your own 12 pack or Bottle of wine! In addition you can bring your own food like some BBQ from right around the corner at Pecan Penny's. The management is amazing I showed up with only 1/2 Hour before closing and they accommodated me with no hesitations whatsoever! They even stayed open 40 minutes later than advertised to accommodate my friends who showed up late. Mike from the Staff took his time to coach me properly and safely in the art of ax throwing. He made me very comfortable and confident right from the start. Dueling Axes is a well designed warm inviting space to have an memorable time with friends or family.

This is probably one of the coolest places I've went for entertainment. It reminded me of bowling, if bowling was fun . Great casual atmosphere. Great instruction from staff so you know what you're doing. We liked that we could take our own food and drinks in. My husband thinks Im the best bc I took him somewhere he could throw weapons. Out group consisted of two couples. The women had almost as much fun as the men. Do not miss the chance to go here!

We went for a friend's birthday and had a great time! There were 4 of us and we rented the lane for 2 hours. Brought our own beverages and enjoyed every minute! The staff was great and gave each person an individual lesson up front... and even checked in on us and gave more tips once we (ahem, me) started to fail. Lol. Overall, it was a great time- highly recommend!

We loved coming to Dueling Axes. It made an awesome date night for my husband and I. We even stayed an extra hour. This would def be a great thing to do with friends and family. Great date night and it has some bars down the road that will deliver for free and you can bring your own food as well. The trainers are super nice and helpful, they will also recommend games to play based on your group size. They also have a league which is awesome too.

Our multigenerational family loved this experience. We chose to do this together instead of exchanging Christmas gifts this year, and it was a big hit! We had teenage girls, 20 something guys and gal, middle-agers, and old people! The staff was energetic, patient, and friendly! The atmosphere was great, it was clean and has a cool vibe. Parking was convenient but not free. Be sure to bring food and drinks--there are nice tables to enjoy them. We had two lanes for 10 people and threw for 2 hours playing several fun games. We had 2 family members that decided to just spectate and they had a great time too just enjoying the action and socializing. Highly recommended!!!

We had so much fun at Dueling Axes!!! The staff were very helpful with their coaching suggestions and keeping us safe from ourselves. A key element to longevity is doing things to keep your mind cognitively fluid. Throwing axes definitely does that and is so much fun too. We highly recommend a visit to Dueling Axes for anyone looking for something different and fun to do.

This place is fantastic! We had never been before and reached out to several of the ax throwing companies in Columbus for reservations; this was one of the 2 that actually called me back. The owner, Jess, was super responsive, answered my questions, and helped me make reservations. When we got there, Collin and Mike helped us out. Our training sessions and the time to fill out all the paperwork and to pay (we had a group of 11) - was NOT included in our hour of ax throwing time, so that was GREAT! Collin let each of us practice and have several throws and gave suggestions to each of us as to how to improve. Even when we started our 1 hour session, he watched us and would come over to help, particularly if it looked like anyone was getting frustrated or having an issue! You can bring your own food and alcohol (just not hard liquor) - which was really nice. We will definitely go back and are super excited that they are opening another Dueling Axes in New Albany/Gahanna by the new Target. If you have never tried ax throwing -- it is a BLAST and Dueling Axes is the place to go. Their customer service is top notch!

A super fun and unique activity outside of the normal things to do in Columbus! I felt like the instructions took way longer than needed which takes away from your time in the cage AND was a little too expensive for what it is... It was close to $80.00 for two of us to participate and was $170.00 for four of us to throw in the same cage... Not sure if its worth that much for 45 mins of throwing time.

With everything going on I was a bit nervous to go anywhere. But once I got to dueling axes I felt safe right away! Everyone is wearing mask and the staff is very helpful in keeping patrons far apart and respecting social distancing! I would highly recommend for people wanting to get out and have some fun while being safe!!! I've been back twice now because of how safe I felt there. It's also perfect for keeping my family safe by allowing us to bring our own food and drinks so we can maintain a healthy distance between other patrons! Would highly recommend. It also makes for a great date spot because you can relax without having to worry about anyone's safety!!
