Duffers is an ice cream paradise just a block off of the Southern part of the Wildwood Boardwalk. The ambiance is a bit like an intimate Cracker Barrel fused with a Friendly's - including a small trinkets shop, a waitstaff dressed in period clothing, and a homemade ice cream menu that will knock your socks off. The location also features a takeout section, mini golf, and a small arcade.
When I went, the place was packed, with parking at a premium in their few spaces. There is side street parking as well, which was around $7 for 2 hours. The wait was allegedly twenty minutes, but it only took about half of that time for a table. That's at least partially due to the hyper efficient waitstaff and kitchen, who were churning through tables and bringing out food quickly.
The dining room itself is small, so I'd recommend going at off-peak hours. There are plenty of distractions for kids if you have to wait though. A small arcade attached to the restaurant offers a couple dozen games to keep your boardwalk fix satiated. There's also mini golf, though that's probably more of an after-meal experience.
As for the food itself, the sundae I had was awesome. Loaded with ice cream, loaded with toppings, and piled high with fluffy whipped cream. Honestly, one of the best sundaes I've ever had, and I'm a master in that discipline.
