"For the past 50 years, Duffer’s has been drawing in the crowds seeking out cool, refreshing treats to ward off the summer heat and offering ice cream that’s made on the premises daily. Old fashioned ice cream sodas, banana splits, and sundaes piled high with syrup and toppings of your choosing are a few items that draw Wildwood visitors and locals to this family-run ice cream shop. After you’re finished with dessert, stay for some arcade game fun and miniature golf." - Kristen Kwiatkowski

Great, just great. The atmosphere is awesome, and the service is great, and the food was excellent. The chicken cutlet bacon club sandwich was so good and so big it could have feed 3 kids or 2 adults the chicken was so juicy and the bacon cooked to perfection I could eat there everyday if my pockets could offered to not saying there expensive prices are great for the portion you get. The salmon sandwich was ridiculous so big so juicy so tasty my son has expensive taste buds lol but he really enjoyed it, so that's what makes me happy that he loved the sandwich. I didn't get a chance to try there amazing sundaes I was so stuffed from dinner I didn't save room for dessert 😫 but from what I saw there bowls of ice cream look like they are a meal in it self there huge cups they come in. See you guys next year for sure.

Despite the prices being a little up there, I actually really liked this place. (Though I did splurge a little lol) Went last night for a night out with my family on our trip and it was legitimately an amazing experience. It was bustling with customers, but the waitresses and cooks were so fast, it was insane how fast they were. The waitresses were all really nice too. The food was delicious, the ice cream was awesome and the environment was nice. Overall would love to come back here again, a shame I'm not from here, but will definitely be back some day since it's the same state.

Google
We got ice cream in the ice cream store that's connected to the restaurant and wow! They give you a lot of ice cream 🍦 you are definitely getting your money's worth for sure. I asked for extra hot fudge cause I'm so used to being skimped on it in Baltimore MD where we are from and they definitely do not cheat you out of hot fudge. There was a generous amount on my ice cream and then they gave me a cup of it on the side lol 😆 I felt like I was swimming in it. Such a great ice cream spot and everyone there is sooooo nice 👍 I highly recommend it 👌

Google
Some of the best ice cream on the island and probably my favorite mini golf course I've played on the Island. Also a great spot to order lunch for pick up. Their To-Go window makes it super easy.

Christopher Pelletier

Google
Well, for the first time ever I am extremely disappointed with Duffers. I know the summer months are their busiest time, but I have been on the phone trying to place an order for pick up for over 40 minutes. Only twice has somebody spoken to me it was to tell to hold. After 43 minutes the phone call was disconnected. We like to call in the order because you can't order everything from the ice cream menu online and with limited parking around the establishment it has always been easier. Greatly dissatisfied with how they handle the phones there as of today. My wife and her family have been going there every year since she was a child in the early 1980's.

Google
All the desserts are massive and delicious. Plenty to share with your family. It was a great experience and we didn’t even have a chance to go to the arcade or putt putt. I would recommend coming here.

Michael Muscaritolo

Google
When I was a child, my parents brought me down to wildwood every year for vacation. Most of our breakfast was eaten at Duffers and I loved it. Well I finally returned to Wildwood for a vacation after 20+ years, and I of course had to return to Duffers. To no surprise, I still love it. Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. And I couldn’t believe they still had the train.

Shannon Cuddy

Google
Duffers is 5 star ice cream! They have a wide variety of homemade flavors and if you want take out ice cream jump in line! Their dinner food is average to above average if you order a more creative option like the turkey waffles made from stuffing (with real turkey and only available on Sunday). Needs some salt. Stay away from the fish sandwich though - the ratio of bread to fish is about 10:1.

Linda C.

Yelp
Duffers gives large portions & the service is always great. The wait could be long during the summer months but it is always worth it. Their food is really good but some people only go for the ice cream. If you want to do both at once, save room!! The ice cream portions are huge!!!

Kimberly D.

Yelp
Delicious homemade ice cream, the butter pecan was amazing. Ordering can be chaotic, but the line moves fast. The servings are huge!

Ian M.

Yelp
Duffers is an ice cream paradise just a block off of the Southern part of the Wildwood Boardwalk. The ambiance is a bit like an intimate Cracker Barrel fused with a Friendly's - including a small trinkets shop, a waitstaff dressed in period clothing, and a homemade ice cream menu that will knock your socks off. The location also features a takeout section, mini golf, and a small arcade. When I went, the place was packed, with parking at a premium in their few spaces. There is side street parking as well, which was around $7 for 2 hours. The wait was allegedly twenty minutes, but it only took about half of that time for a table. That's at least partially due to the hyper efficient waitstaff and kitchen, who were churning through tables and bringing out food quickly. The dining room itself is small, so I'd recommend going at off-peak hours. There are plenty of distractions for kids if you have to wait though. A small arcade attached to the restaurant offers a couple dozen games to keep your boardwalk fix satiated. There's also mini golf, though that's probably more of an after-meal experience. As for the food itself, the sundae I had was awesome. Loaded with ice cream, loaded with toppings, and piled high with fluffy whipped cream. Honestly, one of the best sundaes I've ever had, and I'm a master in that discipline.

Sandy J.

Yelp
It's really good but really expensive. I got a kiddie vanilla with hot fudge and my boyfriend got a small cup of cookie dough. That was $17 before tip. It is homemade ice cream so that's good.

Han-Yin L.

Yelp
A must stop when you are in the Wildwood area. At least come by for the ice cream and sundae. Little bit, disappointed with the crispy chicken on the salad. It was more like chicken nuggets.

Jacqueline L.

Yelp
Went here on my last day of wildwood on Thursday August 8th 2024 with my parents. We parked, and actually got lucky and found a spot right in front of the place. We then entered Duffers and went to the host who said that there is a 25 minute wait. Again, it was probably about 10 minutes instead. We sat down at a booth by the kitchen, so my dad was able to watch them make our ice creams. Our server greeted us promptly, started us with waters, and then gave us a few minutes to decide what we wanted. The server was friendly and nice. I ordered the Cotton Candy with gummy bears, my mom ordered the monkey business, and my dad ordered a banana split sundae with 2 vanilas. The ice cream looks so beautiful when it is ready and placed in front of you! Kudos to the waitress for checking on us to make sure our ice creams were okay. I enjoyed mine that i finished it! We got the check and paid via credit card and left a cash tip. We then went outside, and i got a free Cariature art by an artist that was outside the restaurant! Hope to be back next year for their ice cream!

Yelp
This review could easily be a bit higher but I can only attest to our experience . We came on a rainy mid morning so the joint was packed . Understandable . We had movie tickets but thought we had given ourselves more than enough time . 25 minute wait for a table . No problem . But once seated it took an inordinate amount of time for our order to even be taken . And once taken an inordinate amount of time to be served and the food arrived in spurts . Our young Padawan ordered pancakes with a side of bacon. The bacon never arrived . My girlfriend ordered Avocado toast which she said was great . I had ordered a double decker Turkey club which was just way below expectations . It was made on a different bread than was ordered . It was extremely small . I ordered fries , it came with potato salad . But here are the pluses . Our young blond waitress ( sorry I forgot her name) was super apologetic and helpful . The atmosphere is kinda cute with trains running around the ceiling . And we saw some absolutely amazing ice cream dishes pass by . I wish we had the time that day or another day to try them and I'm sure this review would have been rated higher . If this just look at the menu you'll see what I mean . It's friendlys on steroids . So while I can only give 2 stars because of our experience , yours could easily be much higher . If I'm back this way I'd give it another shot .

Yelp
Appreciate the old timie vibe and decor. Great place to have an ice cream sundae for lunch. Could have licked the bowl of my Fluffernutter - SO GOOD!!!

Shona N.

Yelp
Went to Duffer's for the first time this last summer and was not disappointed. We just went for ice cream so I can only speak to that experience. The portion was huge, it was fresh and the line while long moved quickly. It's a cute place and the staff was friendly. We will be back!

Michael B.

Yelp
We ate at duffers for the first time last night. Usually just go for ice cream and mini golf! I have to leave a review because everything was great! Cheese steak was awesome! My son had mahi- mahi tacos and loved them. Will definitely go back. Server was great and prices very reasonable for wildwood! Great family place!

Jayne M.

Yelp
Family fun night! Mini golf game, arcade time and finished evening in the ice cream parlor, with big scoops and whipped cream! Homemade ice cream, the best, can't be beat!

Kelly N.

Yelp
Fun atmosphere!! Family friendly. Very busy on a summer night FYI. We went on a weeknight and had a solid wait, so I'm sure that weekends are hectic. The tables are turned quickly, to be fair. There is mini golf and an arcade to pass the time. We got an array of items within our group. I will say that, although tasty, the big sundaes are mostly whipped cream. So go for a different item is whip isn't your thing. Cutest decor though. Nostalgia to take you back in time.

Samantha G.

Yelp
Yum! Such good ice cream and the portions are huge! I love that they offer vegan or dairy free flavors now!

Amy P.

Yelp
This ice cream parlor is magical! Definitely the best sundae I've had in Wildwood. The place itself is adorable, nostalgic, and a throwback ice cream parlor. They also have mini golf, an arcade, and a restaurant there. We ordered hot fudge brownie sundaes, caramel sundaes, black raspberry ice cream waffle cones. My caramel sundae was amazing, with a mound of fresh whipped cream and lots of caramel throughout. It was perfect! I actually dreamt about it and had to return! We all craved it! Really nice people, very hard-working, and the arcade is adorable as well as the gift shop. next time I'm gonna try the restaurant part.

Joe A.

Yelp
On vacation in August after playing their miniature golf next door to their building we stopped in to have ice cream inside and sat in a booth, my wife ordered 2 scoops of homemade ice cream and I got an ice cream sundae, my wife said the ice cream was great and the portions were very large, my ice cream sundae was very good and big. I highly recommend getting ice cream here. I wasn't particularly thrilled with the miniature golf, it was a little pricey and the course wasn't all that great compared to what's out there. I was also told that their food is pretty good you're looking for a stop to eat

Joe B.

Yelp
Definitely try the crêpes and the potato pancakes. I love the atmosphere and charm. Very good customer service. Something for everybody including the kids. The waiter Liam had an amazing voice.

Sara S.

Yelp
HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone who has kids or generally enjoys a fun time! The food was surprisingly very good! I got the crab cake appetizer and it was mostly crab no filler and the ocho bowl salad - also fresh and delicious. My daughter loved her tacos. The rest of the fam got chicken tenders, fries, and a burger and were happy but the ice cream was really the star of the show!! The waitstaff were helpful and patient and the ambiance was so fun and cozy! The mini golf course is my favorite in the area - and there are many! The tectonics and seashore theme are just awesome. I am a huge fan and will be coming back soon!

Frank V.

Yelp
I know the breakfast is bad but my daughter likes going there, so we go sometimes. Sadly, this morning was no different. I got the ABLT croissant and it didn't even come with avocado lol. I bit into the sandwich and it was rancid. I really want to like this place but I can't. I'm disappointed every time with the breakfast. Ice cream is great, they should just stick to that. Breakfast is horrific. Get ice cream and play mini golf, don't eat food there.

Betty L.

Yelp
Adorable, beautiful late 1800's/early 1900's decor. Delicious, quality food. Excellent menu variety. Servers are super nice and efficient. The sundaes are incredible. You will poop after.

Alison S.

Yelp
Food is average priced and good, small place but always a must when in the area for a quick bite and ice cream, cant go wrong with the arcade and mini golf attached. Service is always good! Kid friendly place

Sandra W.

Yelp
This is a family favorite of ours. We love the amazing tasting dishes, the portion size is big as well. They have the cutest little gift shop plus an arcade and mini golf. You can also finish out the night with some ice cream (portion size is huge) 10/10 Mt family will be back again.

John K.

Yelp
Amazing place that's a must stop in wildwood. Arcade for kids, ice cream Sundays and their burgers are great!

Amy H.

Yelp
The hostess was definitely not happy to be at work. The hamburger was overcooked and the tomato should have been thrown away the day before.

Louise W.

Yelp
Best ice cream ever!! Great food and the staff is wonderful! Also Duffers has a cute gift shop and a kid's arcade, and last but not least they have an awesome mini golf!

Marsha J.

Yelp
Amazing old fashion, ice cream. The sundaes were delicious. Service was fast despite the line outside. They also have an arcade, restaurant in mini golf. Located on the same block.

Paul B.

Yelp
I have been going to Wildwood for almost 40 years and never went to Duffer's prior. It is a combination restaurant-ice cream parlor-arcade-mini golf complex. The food portions were excellent & the prices were very reasonable even post covid. Service was very good & we seated & served promptly.

Steven S.

Yelp
Had to wait 30 minutes for a table at 5:30, as they allow no reservations for a party of 8. Service was attentive and quick, 4 kids found appropriate food for their taste and adults did well also. Of course desert was a hit as they make their own ice cream. The only negative is that it is very noisy in all parts of the restaurant. if your looking for a quiet place to enjoy dinner this is not it.

Rhiz R.

Yelp
Duffers , an old fashioned ice cream parlor on our favorite places to eat while here in cape May county... just make sure you have water on the side it's the Serendipity of Wildwoodcrest! It has a novelty shop, arcade and mini golf so you won't mind if there's a wait. We ordered chocolate chocolate chocolate special sundae, belgian waffle with ice cream and vanilla ice cream with gummy worm toppings. Everything is yummy! Recommend this place when in Wildwood!

Kevin S.

Yelp
A Wildwood tradition; a visit to Duffers means having a good breakfast with arguably the best potato pancakes around. Vince was our server. Kids will love the two (2) LGB scale trains which chuff around the interior cornice of the dining rooms. They also have a small gift shop, arcade, and mini golf course, where you can watch their large decorative sea gull caricatures tell each other jokes for its patrons.

Kurt P.

Yelp
I came across Duffer's Restaurant & Ice Cream when I was looking for a place to play Mini Golf on a recent trip to Wildwood. Duffer's has a little bit of everything going on there. Sit down restaurant, separate ice cream parlor, small arcade and a 18 hole mini golf course. They also have their own parking lot. This rating is just for the mini golf course because that is what I came here for, however I tried out the ice cream for research reasons and checked out the arcade as well. I did not try the restaurant. The Ice Cream parlor serves mostly hard ice cream, that is fairly unique in Wildwood as most places are either soft serve or water ice. They have 30 or so flavors of ice cream, the typical Sunday type things and even have some dairy free options. The arcade was small only in the 20 to 30 game range. Most of the games are Ticket games like skeeball. Unlike most of the other arcades in the area there are no claw machines here. As for the star of this review the Mini golf course is 18 holes. It is on the smaller side, but that is too be expected being in the middle of wildwood. The best part of the course is the theming and decorations. The pelican animatronics are shocking good. The course is basic, but challenging. The bad side to the course is in needs some upkeep, on some holes the turf is in rough shape, but you can see that some holes have new turf so hopefully I stoped in mid replacement. Overall a nice little spot to stop off the board walk in Wildwood.

Mallory B.

Yelp
We loved it here! We went for mini golf and games. Sadly we went in the evening and didn't get to experience the food but it's on the bucket list for our next trip to Wildwood. Mini golf was awesome. Fun set up and great decor. The kids absolutely loved it. Highly recommend. It was a bit crowded but that's to be expected during a peak week in the summer months.

Giselle H.

Yelp
Great food and excellent ice cream! So good for kids as there's an arcade and mini-golf attached. Get the strawberry stack, it's delectable!

Katie B.

Yelp
Decadence to the Nth degree, y'all! The line looks pretty intimidating, but they have a process and it works! Check the menu out ahead of time. Once you get inside the building, your first stop is the cashier to order what you want. If you don't know ahead of time that their thing is over the top sundaes and belgian waffles and the like, you might wind up with a regular, old scoop of ice cream or a milkshake! You should also know that the prices reflect the actual size of the dish. So it's pricey, but a $10 sundae would've fed a family of four. My family of two put in a valiant effort, but still had to get a cover to bring home more than half of our sundae. But ours was sooooo good! We got one with cookie dough and a warm baked cookie. You aren't getting any of those crumbly cookie dough bits you find in prepackaged pints, no! You are getting actual nestle toll house smooshy cookie dough and a warm baked cookie! It was excellent. Next time, I might choose to use a different flavor than vanilla as the base for the sundae, but worth coming for a treat!

Alysha A.

Yelp
We lucked out having this restaurant literally around the corner from where we're staying. The decor is a little dated, but our kids absolutely loved watching the train go around the crown of the room! We had a party of 7, with 2 being impatient children, and the staff was fantastic and quick with our food. Not pictured was the seafood bisque, which was alright. But our meals (Reuben, Salmon ABLT, and Mahi Mahi Tacos) were delicious!! We will definitely be back soon for the sundaes we saw at a table near by and some Putt Putt!

Jay D.

Yelp
Hey all, Jay D the Burgaman returns. We were leaving the shore and frankly hoping to go to Jersey Joes. Still, they were closed due to a multi-day power outage. They likely sold their spoiled food to a previously reviewed diner for the enjoyment and sudden weight loss opportunity for their customers. Duffers is an excellent stop and unique - for instance- a well-decorated and lit Christmas tree treats you right as you walk in, albeit mid-July. Mini golf, small kids' arcade, and a wonderful gift shop are available. We had breakfast for four, and it was all more than reasonable. The recipe stumped them for iced coffee, but my highly successful offspring asked for a glass of ice to go with her coffee, and everything worked out. The restrooms were clean, and you could choose brown paper towels or a hot air hand dryer if you wash your hands at all. After the meal, I bought my daughter, married and say late twenties, her first Christmas ornament from Dad! In a beach town, in July. Was there Harry Chapin Cats and the Cradle songs playing - not sure? So hey, the food is more than acceptable; a cool, funky place that is clean and well-run. Johnny gives it four stars!

David W.

Yelp
the barbecue chicken sandwich. It was like in shoe leather. They were running out of stuff.I know it's end of season, but until you close you.Keep your stock

Yelp
Duffer's is the best restaurant in Wildwood!!! The service is amazing and I would leave a huge tip every time. And the food, desserts, arcade games, mini golf, and atmosphere make for an amazing experience.

George S.

Yelp
Duffers is yet another long time a Wildwood vacation must for the family! I like to eat in but take out is always the option for most. For me the greatest pleasure is watching the faces on the kids & adults when their ice cream choice comes out!

Olivia E.

Yelp
In my opinion, this is the best ice cream around! They have tons of flavors and options. Every flavor of ice cream is homemade and you can really tell. I've had ice cream before that tasted artificial, but that's not the case at Duffer's. Delicious ice cream! And great service. Duffer's is actually a restaurant and they have an arcade and mini golf too. But if you just want to get ice cream, the parlor is separate and they have benches outside for those getting dessert only.

Alison L.

Yelp
Very busy place, good food and great sundaes. Went 2x in 4 days to eat here! Also a all in one kind of place. Food, ice cream, arcade, mini golf and a souvenir store.

Saladman 12 3.

Yelp
Caesar salad was good. It was a great portion for the price. Croutons were my favorite part, they were so fresh and unique. Great fresh lettuce and the cheese was just the right amount.

Luis U.

Yelp
First time having Duffer's food. Have come plenty of times for their ice cream and it's always delicious. I was pleasantly surprised by how great the food and service at the restaurant was. All 4 things we ordered were very well made and super tasty. The pretzel was huge and not to heavy. Mahi Mahi tacos were super packed with flavor (a bit messy but worth the mess). My wife got the Salmon ABLT and said it was great (salmon wasn't dry and the chipotle sauce adding some good flavor with a little heat). My little brother got the works cheesesteak and it was very big with lots of toppings and looked delicious. Overall you get your moneys worth with the portion sizes so will for sure be going back.

Suzanne S.

Yelp
Really nice vibe to this place.. Servers are super attentive and kind... food does not disappoint. Definitely will re-visit. Coffee is actually really good too...

Angel J.

Yelp
this establishment is lowkey a joke.... but ok... ig. get the belgian waffles or the pancakes.

April C.

Yelp
EXTREMELY disappointing and upsetting. We went there specifically bc my two kids have celiacs and they had a GF brownie available. And GF buns. Got there, asked BEFORE we sat down if they did in fact have both and the waitress said yes they did. My girls each order a burger bc they only have GF burgers and wraps. First problem-- I ask what sides the girls can have bc the fries are not in a separate fryer so I ask can they have something else instead bc they can't eat that? And she says oh they can have corn. (NO comment of up charge) So I said fine. Second problem-- Waitress comes back and says there are no GF buns. By then our entire table with friends had ordered. If we had known when I first asked we would've left. So their offer? The girls can have a wrap (with a burger, interesting.....) or a bagel (so I said oh can they have breakfast food with the bagel I seats? Nope). So we get the food. One eats the wrap and says it is odd to have a burger with but she was starving. My other didn't eat the bagel with a burger bc she said that was so weird. And they brought out corn for the girls. Third problem--ordered GF brownie sundae. Two of them. One comes fine. The other, my daughter had wanted m and Ms on it too. There was a huge layer of it, great but NO brownie at all. Like come on!! and the waitress had already brought check. fourth problem--I then looked at it as I'm waiting for her to come back and talk about the brownie (which by then my daughter was over it all) and I see $6 for two pieces of corn(!!) I mean my girls couldn't eat the fries and that was all she offered, no mention they would up charge us $3 each. BS. THEN they charged us another $3 for their GF buns they DIDNT HAVE. I was like omg like a bagel with a burger??? After I asked for it before we sat down??? Anddddd they charged us for two GF sundaes. I had the waitress come back, she said ohhh I'll get you a brownie to take home "because that is easier for her" and I showed her the buns which she was like well they got a wrap and a bagel and I said REALLY??? So she said she'd take them off. NOPE. She took off ONE. And by then I was fuming and INSULTED to be made to feel treated differently bc my girls need gluten free for their celiacs. Disrespectful!!!!! My daughter didn't want me to make a scene and I was so angry we paid and walked out and I am so angry at myself for not talking to a manager bc I was charged MULTIPLE times for GF stuff they didn't have or provide. I will NOT be going back bc I am so insulted. If you have celiacs do NOT go there.

Cassy B.

Yelp
Delicious ice cream! Only had time to stop by for dessert but I saw the line was wrapped around the street so I knew it bad to be good. They have a ton of different ice cream flavors, all homemade. What I loved about this place is the sizes they offer. They have a ton of cup sizes then a milkshake size that's mini which is perfect for me. I ended up getting a regular cup of chocolate peanut butter. The size up from that was equivalent to a pint! The flavor was great, nice and smooth and plenty of peanut butter flavor. The girls behind the counter were really friendly even though the line was never ending for them. My order came out quick and everything moved along really well. I would recommend stopping here to try the ice cream!

Cindy M.

Yelp
[736] Decided check this out due to high Yelp reviews. We stopped in for ice cream cones, shakes and sundaes. The portions were large so no one will walk away hungry or disappointed I was full from a tasty cone. We will definitely be back

Myra C.

Yelp
Only reviewing mini golf. It's 18 holes no military discounts $9 a person. For me 12 would have been enough. There's a makeshift waterfall with blue water looks like Tidy Bowl. As dusk came the mosquitoes came out. If you're bored 5his may be a good stop. Well maintained.

Bill S.

Yelp
Doesn't look like all the other pics i see them post. Average Sunday and overpriced $$$
