Duffy’s Irish Pub (Cap Hill East)

Incredible food. I had the buffalo medium and Chesapeake style wings and some tots. Everything was delicious. The staff here is awesome too- Devin took awesome care of me. Will definitely be back again!

We ordered the fish and chips and shepherds pie, both I think are normal Irish Pub food and they were almost inedible. I am trying to find something redeemable about the food but can't. The shepherds pie tasted worse than a frozen dinner, had no salt and the food looked like it came from a can. The atmosphere was ok, it had outdoor seating, chalk and coloring for kids. Unfortunately, we won't be spending the amount of money we paid for the food just for that.

Rude workers, nasty attitudes, the chicken is dry they don’t know how to count money bartender try to make me pay extra money for my bill after I gave him more then what my bill was then had the nerve to get mad because he had to give me my money back. That he tried to take. The other bartender told me no he wasn’t going to cash me out or take my order. Then he told me to go to the ATM if I don’t have enough to pay my bill after I gave him more then what my bill was. It made me feel low and as a loyal customer I thought I would get served better treatment then that. Just left me with a very bad taste in mouth about Duffys Irish bar.

Came for early overseas NFL game (one of few places open and showing it).Great omelet, & blood mary.Other good food options. Tons of tvs.Reasonable cost.

Staff is super nice. Wings, burgers and fries are all very solid for a neighborhood pub. Wings have a good portion of meat on them especially for the price. Love having options in the neighborhood.

Nice little bar, nice staff too. Tried the Chesapeake style wings and the garlic parm wings. Both had a nice crunch and good flavor. This is one of the few places in DC you can get more than 6 wings for less than $15 so that’s a win. Maybe I’m just spoiled from places at home but most places around here don’t do wings well. I’d order again for sure, I’d recommend the Chesapeake but try something else instead of garlic parm.

If I could rate lower, I would. The owner is extremely rude and not very understanding. Being a woman by myself at a bar, I decided to talk to my friend on the phone while I waited for my to go order. I was asked by the owner to not be on the phone or put on headphones, which I did not have. After a while of contemplating I decided to ask the owner if my conversation was inappropriate or too loud and was told that "this just isn't the place where we want people having long conversations on the phone." I have been to Duffy's for at least a year and have never heard of this before. I was told that signage was coming to explain this new rule, it just wasn't placed yet. It's a no for me. You have a bar with lots of people talking and my conversation is not allowed because the person I am having it with isn't present? As much as I have loved this bar, I will never give another dollar to them.

Food was average. Nothing spectacular. Draft Beer was getting flat. Guinness on draft was fine. My buddies shepherds pie was not good. Staff never came around to clear used dishes off the table so beer glasses quickly piled up. Trivia started off as political but turned out ok.

Great service and a lot of room from the outside patio to the inside. Where there is a good amount of TVs showing either news about sports or a sport game. They also have a good happy hour from 4 to 7.. a decent crowd as well. I loveeee Wednesday when it's wing day.. you can't go wrong with 6 wings for 5 dollars. And you can do multiples of that with a huge variety of flavors. From extremely hot to sweet and calm. Great bartenders and staff through out the establishment.

I'm an OG Duffy's patron from the days when they were in Shaw! I have always loved their wings so I was delighted to see they had a location on the southside, recently! Just like all those years ago, the wings are A-1! I have only gotten take out but plan to dine in when it's warm. Just like the other location, the service is wonderful. The staff is really accommodating- always modifying my orders per my request.

The pub food here is very good! We had wings and mozzarella sticks, and both were great. Our bartender was friendly. We were there on a Friday and it had a fun and low key vibe, with lots of TVs showing sports. All in all a good neighborhood bar experience. We'll be back!

The food is really good but the portions sizes are a little off. $11.99 for 10 small onion rings.....the tots are the same....I guess you don't get what you paid for!!

Definitely has a neighborhood feel to it But overall, very friendly staff and good food and beer selection

Great food, great service, amazing place to watch a game. The wings are the best in DC.
