Amazing Bar near Boston University (BU) with plenty history. It is located in the Basement. The bartender (Rob) was so friendly & helpful. He would recommend the most delicious Boston Beer. We ordered Samuel Adams Summer Ale & it was amazing. The price was $26 for 1 pitcher (I add $3 for tip). Really love the drink, but it was only available until the summer. There are plenty tables so u don't need to queue. There are trivia event on Wednesday and Stand Up Comedy on Saturday. Would love to come regularly to this place.

Dugout is what it is, and I love it. The beer is good and cheap, the food is good in a pinch, and atmosphere is unmatched. I'd put it just above a dive bar as its outfitted with an all wood interior and great tight knit community. Dugout is a staple in the neighborhood, definitely recommend grabbing a pint.

Best bar in Boston. Come here if you want to have a good time and not get killed on drink prices. It’s one of Boston’s finest establishments. Your shoes might stick to the floor for the rest of your life so don’t wear your fake Guccis here. Iykyk. Make sure to order an Uber to the Encore when you leave. I always win big after going to the dugout. Even if I don’t I feel like a winner after leaving this bar.

Awesome comedy show every Saturday! 10 comics, 10 mins each, for just $10 in a very intimate setting. Audience were probably mostly students from BU across the street, a couple of tourists. I really enjoyed the variety of comedian performing. Most were pretty good, a couple from out of town were so-so, and 3 or 4 were super funny. Especially a very funny lady from Philly sharing about her OnlyFans customer service story, and a guy sharing his childhood story of being bullied in Germany during year abroad, and the last comic who celebrated his birthday and shared story about his gay marriage.

There were only a few things on the menu that day, but my wife and I ordered two of them and they were SUPERB. Her roasted fish was fresh and crispy and divine, and my beans and rice (an island treasure) were out of this world. We can’t wait to go back.

Been here a couple times, and I'm not particularly impressed. It's a cozy little pub with dark wood and a dive-bar kind of feel, but that's really all it has going for it. The selection was very limited; only a dozen or so beers on tap. I'm not even sure if they do bottles/cans or other drinks, as I don't think they have an actual menu. There certainly isn't a food menu, if they even serve any food. The prices are pretty steep too, especially considering it's cash only. $9 for a Guinness and $8 for Downeast Cider is way more than it should be. There's plenty of other bars along Commonwealth Ave. that I would suggest you look elsewhere, which shouldn't be difficult.
