The 14 Best Bars In Amsterdam

"You’ll have a blast at this Japanese-themed bar with karaoke rooms for that one friend who needs to belt it out at least once a week. (And if performing isn’t your thing, just dance to uptempo beats with all kinds of strangers who are dipping in and out of other raucous bars on Reguliersdwarsstraat.) The shoulder-to-shoulder crowd might make you think this is the type of place that only serves well drinks and watered-down shots, but you can get excellent cocktails here like the Nomunication highball with Japanese whiskey, shiso, and shochu. Beers, wines, and sake are also available if you just need to keep your vocal cords hydrated, or buy rounds for your new friends without much thought. " - paolo espanola

The atmosphere and vibe of this bar is really amazing. It’s Japan decor on steroids, every inch of the place is covered in lights or cool Japanese signage. I love it having being to Japan many times. The drinks are unique and the staff are very friendly. I would definitely come back here again just to stare at the walls! Love it.

Loved the atmpsohere. The bar was packed. Had a good vibe. The queues were a tad too long, but it was really PACKED! Did not eat, so trying not to rate that row. But love the music, drinks and interior design.

Awesome experience at the Duke of Tokyo. Already heard some good stories about it and it is just a great way of having a team outing. The place is cool and the booths are in style. The music system is working well and pretty intuitive. Drinks are coming through quickly and the staff was friendly!

Atmosphere is incredible. We came here just to check out the bar. Bartender was lovely - I don't drink and often feel awkward asking for a non-alcoholic drink but the bartender was so kind and went above and beyond to make a really cool drink that fit my tastes. My brother enjoyed his drink as well. Can't recommend enough.

Such a great place for karaoke. We've been with group of teenagers who love to sing, and despite of +18 atmosphere - we were able to have so much fun. Recommended for signing lovers.

My 1st experience of a karaoke room. Neon lighting and bright lights immerse you into an Asian inspired bar... The choice of songs were excellent. We all had a blast. Staff were excellent and knowledgeable. Will definitely visit again ☺️

Google
Definitely one of my favourite bars in Amsterdam. Staff was fantastic and offered great suggestions in terms of cocktails. The music with DJ was great too. The house cocktails are excellent. I would recommend having the Springsteen if you like fruity cocktails and expresso Martini with the bartenders recommendation. A 10/10 for suuuure 🍹

Yelp
We walked by while strolling through the neighborhood and tried the daiquiri which was amazing!!! The drinks are reasonably priced as well, the atmosphere was very fun and we would definitely come back again

Yelp
Duke of Tokyo is the only private room karaoke game in town! A bit on the nose with the Japanese decor, but that's how it is in Amsterdam. The staff is pretty chill and they have rooms of all different sizes, but they get booked up way in advance so be sure to plan ahead. You can order drinks straight to the room. The song selection can be disappointing if you're accustomed to the vast range of NYC's KTown but it gets the job done! There's a public bar area for dancing and drinks for pre/post party shenanigans if you so please. Also, since Duke of Tokyo is on Reguliersdwarsstraat (the most famous Dutch gay street!) you will absolutely have a lot of options around the area for all night dancing.

Yelp
Great vibes, cocktails, music with live DJ, karaoke what more can you ask for? If you want to reserve karaoke, definitely do it weeks in advance!!!
