The 14 Best Bars In Amsterdam - Amsterdam - The Infatuation
"You’ll have a blast at this Japanese-themed bar with karaoke rooms for that one friend who needs to belt it out at least once a week. (And if performing isn’t your thing, just dance to uptempo beats with all kinds of strangers who are dipping in and out of other raucous bars on Reguliersdwarsstraat.) The shoulder-to-shoulder crowd might make you think this is the type of place that only serves well drinks and watered-down shots, but you can get excellent cocktails here like the Nomunication highball with Japanese whiskey, shiso, and shochu. Beers, wines, and sake are also available if you just need to keep your vocal cords hydrated, or buy rounds for your new friends without much thought." - paolo espanola

Dropped in for a quick drink, stayed for more. Great vibe, awesome decor, cosy mad clean. Staff were enthusiastic and informative. I didn't partake in karaoke, but it's not a requisite. Fun and fantastic cocktails. Left half drunk and happy. Highly recommend.

This is a true hidden gem in Amsterdam’s city center. Visited following a friend’s recommendation who also accidentally discovered it. The moment you step inside it’s hard to tell whether you’re in Tokyo or still in Amsterdam - the interior and decorations are impeccable! The cocktails are truly unique by their appearance, taste, and ingredients. Too bad we didn’t get to experience the karaoke as all karaoke rooms were already booked. Definitely coming back to try out the karaoke and highly recommend for anyone looking for a real, Tokyo-inspired Instagrammable place ;)

Had a really good and fun time here with friends in a karaoke booth. It’s easy to choose songs from the touchscreen. They have a playlist with different genres. The interior is amazingly cool and funky. Feels like Asia/Tokyo by night with the neon lights and futuristic setting. The cocktails are good and pretty. I visited both locations in Utrecht and Amsterdam, same vibe.

The atmosphere and vibe of this bar is really amazing. It’s Japan decor on steroids, every inch of the place is covered in lights or cool Japanese signage. I love it having being to Japan many times. The drinks are unique and the staff are very friendly. I would definitely come back here again just to stare at the walls! Love it.

Had a popstar martini and a kyoho here. Amazingly delicious popstar. Kyoho also very delicious but a specific taste, a bit herbal.

Love coming to this place. This concept of streets of Tokyo is amazing, so many details in the decoration. The cocktails are very delicious. You should try the toilet seats with Japanese system haha
We booked a Karaoke room for 20 people. It gets a bit too warm despite having air-conditioning.

Super cool place for a karaoke night with friends. The location, interiors and vibes of the venue are incredible, making visitors feel like they are in a street of Tokyo. The staff was super nice and friendly and I also loved the toilets! Nice drink and music selection and top quality karaoke system, I really want to repeat again the experience!

Yelp
We walked by while strolling through the neighborhood and tried the daiquiri which was amazing!!! The drinks are reasonably priced as well, the atmosphere was very fun and we would definitely come back again

Yelp
Duke of Tokyo is the only private room karaoke game in town! A bit on the nose with the Japanese decor, but that's how it is in Amsterdam. The staff is pretty chill and they have rooms of all different sizes, but they get booked up way in advance so be sure to plan ahead. You can order drinks straight to the room. The song selection can be disappointing if you're accustomed to the vast range of NYC's KTown but it gets the job done!
There's a public bar area for dancing and drinks for pre/post party shenanigans if you so please. Also, since Duke of Tokyo is on Reguliersdwarsstraat (the most famous Dutch gay street!) you will absolutely have a lot of options around the area for all night dancing.

Yelp
Great vibes, cocktails, music with live DJ, karaoke what more can you ask for? If you want to reserve karaoke, definitely do it weeks in advance!!!
