Duke Of York

We recently visited the Duke of York as a party of four and had a fantastic experience. We all ordered burgers and chips (four in total), and they were absolutely amazing - cooked perfectly and full of flavour. The service was fantastic from start to finish. A special thank you to Caoimhe and Georgina, who looked after us so well - friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout. We would highly recommend the Duke of York and will definitely be back again soon!

Fast and friendly service, with polite staff who gave great recommendations on local beers. The vegan Sunday roast was absolutely scrumptious: full of flavor and beautifully presented. The only minor downside was that it was a bit noisy, but it was Sunday after all, and lots of people were out enjoying a great roast together. Overall, a wonderful experience and highly recommended!

Always passed this pub on the way to the gym, the guests here always looked like they was having a good time. Overall amazing Sunday roast, the trio roast was the highlight! I felt the service was friendly and attentive. We booked last min but they was really accommodating. Our server Ires was lovely too she had an awesome nail set will be coming here again.

A lovely impromptu evening out for dinner and the Duke of York gave us a wonderful evening. A great local pub that has excellent food for a very reasonable price. We were well taken care of by Monica who was so welcoming and attentive. Looking forward to coming back!

This pub , the food and atmosphere has really improved. We visited a few years ago and it was average. We went again last night and the food , staff and atmosphere had improved out of all sight. We had a delightful meal that was a large serve and a nice beer. What more can one ask!! Thank you and well done.

Great food and service. Perfect for a Sunday roast. I had the roast belly pork as the sirloin beef was finished, so were the Yorkshire puddings (our reservation was late, at 5pm, so that’s fair enough - the roast is obviously popular!). My friends also loved the fish and chips. And excellent sticky toffee pudding. The servers were very accommodating and friendly.

The place looks great and it is beautiful. When I came in I had great expectations. I sat in one of the high tables with stools and grabbed one menu. After 10 minutes I had to get up and go to the bar to order because no one came to ask. I got the burger and it was pretty nice.

I’ve visited this pub regularly for drinks and have always found it to be a pleasant place. Today I went for dinner with some friends who were visiting the city, and we were unpleasantly surprised when we received the bill. The prices on the receipt did not match those shown on any of the menus we were given, resulting in a considerable difference in the total cost. Even after pointing this out to the waitress, she insisted that the menu prices were wrong and that we had to pay the prices shown on the bill. Truly disappointing, with quite unpleasant customer service. I won’t be coming back.
