"I note that the space on the Eastside Beltline formerly occupied by Cold Beer now houses the tiki bar Duke’s Hideaway." - Beth McKibben

We came here because we used to love tiki tango and wanted to see if it was similar. You have to climb a good number of stairs to get up there (above McCary’s). The ledge is too big when you’re sitting along it to enjoy a view or people-watch. We were disappointed that they were allowing smoking up there. You walk to the bar to order and sadly none of the drinks are in cute tiki cups just plastic cups. Service was nice, but the drinks were way too sweet. We didn't try any food.

I had such a great time at Duke’s Hideaway at McCray’s in Atlanta! The vibe is cozy yet fun — perfect for a laid-back night out or catching up with friends. Huge shoutout to Megan the bartender! She was super friendly, quick with the drinks, and made the whole experience even better. Her energy and professionalism stood out, and she really knows how to make you feel welcome. Definitely recommend stopping by — and if Megan’s behind the bar, you’re in for a great

Drinks were good but that’s about it. The service was, to put it nicely, terrible. The energy in there was also terrible, especially for Halloween. The music was great, but there was no atmosphere so it felt king of like tagging along on your parents date night out (if you know what I mean). While I know the bartenders were busy, they were very condescending. She was dismissive and spoke to us in an overbearing manner, and made me and my friends feel unwelcome. We just wanted to have a nice spot to enjoy a drink, but felt like she was being very rude. And then there was the automatic 18% gratuity, for service we felt was below average. As other reviewers have said, keep your coins and go somewhere else on the beltline.

Beautiful tiki decor, but that's really where the tiki ends. Music was very loud and a mix of 80s and 90s. There is nothing wrong with that. It's just not fitting with the tiki decor. There are no tiki cocktails on the menu.

Best wings and sweet potato fries in the area! So glad we finally have a McCray’s in our neighborhood. Mary served us and was very attentive.

Dukes has always treated me right, whether it comes to their food, liquor, or overall vibe. The wings stay hitting, the drinks are strong (just how I like them), and the staff always makes me feel at home. It’s one of those go-to spots you can count on—chill atmosphere, good music, and consistent quality. Definitely a hidden gem in the city. 10/10 recommend.

Duke’s Rooftop Hideaway at McCray’s offers a laid-back atmosphere perfect for a leisurely Saturday afternoon. The tiki vibe adds a unique charm to the experience. The live DJ provides a great soundtrack, adding to the relaxed ambiance. During my visit, I enjoyed some delicious wings and sampled the flaming skull cocktail, both of which were satisfying. Although I only stayed for a short while, I appreciated the welcoming atmosphere and the opportunity to unwind. Overall, Duke’s Rooftop Hideaway is a pleasant spot to spend an afternoon, whether you’re there for the music, the food, or simply to soak in the atmosphere.

Wonderful little "HIDEAWAY", nestled in the heart of KROG STREET! This BELTLINE ATTRACTION is great for your casual needs as well as any type of event that you want to host! Great food and drinks, great service, great location. The venue is clean and inviting. Parking is good and safe! Want to dance 'till you pass out? Want to feel like you are on a vacation on the beach? Visit the beautifully decorated TIKI BAR upstairs on the ROOF TOP and check out the BLAZING SOUNDS of DJ SX:AM, while he spins each and every Friday from 8pm until! You will be glad you came!
