Love the super knowledgeable and friendly staff. Their beautiful shop is very clean and well organized (Virgo approved). Definitely shopping here again! I found the perfect spirits for my herbal elixirs and tinctures!

Destination-worthy neighborhood spirit store with a unique and comprehensive offering of harder to find, craft, local and independent libations - notably curated. Vintage cocktail and tiki decor with a tasting bar (when there is not a global pandemic). The shelves are insanely well organized and labeled with each bottle’s price and tasting profile, but the people here are impressively knowledgeable, friendly and genuinely excited to talk booze. Duke’s is liquor centric, but they also have a decent wine offering in the back room. Delivery available to most of Greenpoint and LIC.

I like this place a lot and have been a loyal customer. I get what you guys are doing, a focus on local and smaller batch and I love that. BUT every time I find something I love, I never see it again. And in some categories, you don't carry anything at a lower price point or you're consistently out of stock of the affordable option.

My favorite local alcohol refill store! The people are super friendly and warm, always helpful. There is a great wine selection, always as well as rum and gin, and always great music playing. Plus if you register with them you get great discounts as a regular customer!

Outstanding wine and liquor store! The bottle selection is extensive but unique, which I suspect is largely due to their commitment to forming relationships with smaller bottlers. I regularly find unfamiliar ingredients to play around with, which as a bartender is super exciting and helpful. The staff is fantastic as well. I recently went in to ask for some help on a home project, and not only did they go above and beyond to help me, they even refused any payment or tip. Best neighborhood spot ever, definitely check it out.

Was walking to dinner and stumbled on this place. All around great staff. They gave comparable recommendations for bottles that weren't readily available. They also made arrangements for their second location to hold a bottle for me but I passed because it was out of my way. I was on the fence on a particular gin and the guys gave me a taste test...can't get any better than letting me sample before i buy. If you are in Greenpoint check them out!

This was an impeccable find in Greenpoint. As much as I love perusing in bottle shops, when I'm on vacation it's not a priority. I'm glad we stumbled in here, because we got to chatting with the two owners, who are dudes I'd like to be friends with in real life! Duke's Liquor Box, great name first of all. Second, the storefront is flat out adorable. There, I said it. Inside, booze all of shapes and sizes. It's cool seeing more regional brands that I haven't heard of or don't have immediate access to in Denver. Incredible array of mezcal and wines! I took home a few small bottles of whiskey (Brooklyn) and amaro (Charleston), as well as two canned palomas for the road. Back to the owners, these dudes were cool as hell. We talked music practically the entire time. These guys know their music, especially their metal. I could've talked to them for hours on end, I know it. I didn't want to leave, and my wife had to drag me out of there. \m/ This is the neighborhood liquor store you need in your life. Clean and well laid out, chatty owners who are passionate about their products, but also the people who walk into the shop. Love it!

Duke's Liquor Box is a must drink in Greenpoint. I was most likely at Bust magazine's Bustcraftacular at the Brooklyn Expo Center this winter when I spotted this little liquor store. It was not like those strange, boring, plexiglass and uncomfortably warm liquor stores you are use to. Nope. This was one swanky looking spot. I couldn't help but step inside and look around. I adored their tiny bamboo bar and their large leaf print wallpaper. It was gorgeous. Vintage in a very classy way. Yesterday I was back in the neighborhood and decided I might pop in. The place was buzzing and people were all crammed in. What was happening here? It was a tasting!!!! T-A-S-T-I-N-G!! How fantastic! The liquor for the tasting was Boukman spiced rum made in Haiti! The founder and partner were also part of the soirée. The bartender...you heard right...the bartender made me an old fashioned to sample the rum. It was delicious. I was so happy to have popped in. I have been listening to a podcast called "how to be a better drinker" and I love it. There is so much to history and craft that goes into all these special liquors that makes you appreciate the trade. And also opens your eyes to new things to try. I might add that the decor has grown significantly with puffer fish, tiki glasses, banners and a comfy chair. I will be making a point to come to more tastings and expand my home bar while supporting a great small business.

I've been visiting this liquor store for years and it's honestly about time that I wrote a review because I just adore it so much. It is so finely curated, with everything you need and so much for you to discover. You won't find any cliche liquor bottles on these shelves so anytime you go, you end up coming home with something extremely special. The prices are very reasonable and their staff is very knowledgable about all of the products that they carry. They will even give you samples of the bottles that they have open in the back. When have you ever gone into a liquor store and been able to sample a product before dropping money? Never? Yea that's what I thought.

What a gem! My husband and I stumbled on this place a few weeks back and truly enjoyed perusing their collection. Its highly curated and has some great small batch wines. Customer service is fantastic too. So happy to have these guys near by!

Loooooooooved this tiny shop that has a curated collection of spirits that are not in your average/run of the mill liquor shop! I was shopping for something local and different for a gift for a friend, and found it here in a Brooklyn made whiskey! The guys here were AWESOME, and helped us with choosing the right spirits (Scotch for my husband, whiskey for me). They even let us taste the Scotch - they didn't have any open bottles so they opened one up for us to taste - and even had some themselves! I love love love experiences like that, and we left with various bottles wrapped up beautifully by one of the dudes. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful store! Great selection of liquor worldwide. I came here to get a gift for my fiancé, after the staff's thoughtful advise I got Haitian Rum.. it's so good! Will be here every time I need some unique drinks.

I really like this liquor store, but I was disappointed in my most recent visit. I brought my family, who recently moved in around the corner and was asking me about good liquor stores, into Duke's to pick up some holiday spirits. We were really quickly greeted and asked what we were looking for, and we responded that we weren't sure and wanted to look around (they have a lot of great, unique spirits so I usually get a couple bottles of something I couldn't typically find elsewhere). However, this visit we were made to not welcome to look around and rushed. While I understand that things are different in times of Covid (store capacity limits, lines, etc) most places allow patrons a five or ten minute time limit to browse before purchase. I'll be back, but I felt badly that the experience left a bad taste in my family's mouth while they were looking for a go-to shop. While I totally understand the need to have a quick customer turnover during these times, there's definitely a way to do it without making customers feel pressured out the door.

Great place to grab a bottle. Local and unique selections of all types of liquors and spirits. Quality of products is great and their prices are even better. If you are in Brooklyn, definitely worth a stop. Customer service is a plus too. They even offer you a chance to taste before you buy.

What can you say about a hidden gem liquor store like this? That it's on Franklin, just before the capital letters of the street, G-H-I, that tell when you turn for the ferry. That it's a small, unassuming place that sometimes has flags for Texas and the US out. That every time I go, I get excited to read the bourbon shelf just to see what I can find because it's so different than anywhere else. Or that every time I go in, the owner is as much as a bourbon-geek as I am and we chat and I walk away with something truly great. It's Brooklyn as it ought to be and as it once was. I love it. You should too. Ps. For beginners, the owners name is not Duke. Go in and find out why.

Awesome neighborhood liquor store. Very eclectic selection of spirits. Weekly tastings and a very knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended if you're looking to try something new and unique. Also a fantastic place if you're looking for a gift and you want to bring something special.

It's hard to go wrong when you sell nice things and know your stuff. And both apply to this small, but well-stocked shop with knowledgable and friendly staff. We had a really nice conversation and got two great recommendations Highly recommended.

What a gem. Beautifully curated selection of small batch, interesting spirits. As a complete whiskey novice I was happy to walk in and be greeted with a great introduction to the spirit, basic categories, how it's made, and what I might like. Could not have enjoyed my experience here more. Would certainly recommend to anyone looking for something a bit different than your standard package store. I also love that "package store" is written on the door. And, indeed, my purchase was carefully wrapped in plain brown paper.

Check out this lovable little new small batch liquor store on Franklin. They have tastings and the employees are fun and friendly. No big names like Jack and Jim here, but the small brands will woo you with unique flavors.

A liquor store for those who like a little conversation with their booze. Heavy metal on the stereo, knowledgeable, welcoming staff. It's a botique, so don't expect a wide selection; everything is handpicked and there's a lot you've never heard of.

Cannot say enough good things about the customer service I received from these guys. Was desperately searching for a whiskey I knew to no longer be produced. They were super knowledgable about the product but unfortunately had sold the last of their stock. Not only did they offer to contact the distributor for me, they also connected me with the resources to help find what I was looking for. Totally went above and beyond -- only disappointing that I couldn't give them my business in this instance but I will be certain to in the future, and will also be recommending to all my local whiskey loving friends! Super impressed with what a help they were to me

Malort....in Brooklyn!!!!!! What this store lacks in quantity, it more than makes up for in quality! A small selection of the best, boutique, hard to find spirits. I recently entered this small store and was immediately blown away by some of the esoteric brands being offered. The owner was extremely friendly and knowledgable and ended up giving me a glass of the best Absinthe I have ever had. I am sold on this place and will be a regular from now on.

This is a very well curated shop. The selection at the store is small, but more than sufficient, particularly in terms of whiskeys, gins, vodkas, and liqueurs you've never heard of. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about the products and helped me discover some delicious and affordable finds.
