"We’re not really sure how people are able to work on laptops at Dulche de Leche. Sure, it’s a big, bright, comfortable space with plenty of seating, but every time you look up, a new colorful cake or tray of pastries is being put into the display cases at this Argentine bakery in The Heights. And those pastries, like dulche de leche churros or facturas topped with sweet quince, are both delicious and likely to throw you into a sugar low a few minutes after eating them. Good spot for big portioned desserts. Tried the almond croissant and the fresh cream peach cake slice. The cake was alright, wasn’t moist as you’d think and Croissant was okay (a few almonds in the top tasted stale) The space is pretty big and options are many. Prices are quite reasonable and the staff is good too.

This is one of those places where I walk in and say “Take my money!” 😅 - Honestly this is the BEST bakery ever. The staff is kind and always pleasant. When it’s busy, they move the line quickly. The hot food is great quality, the coffee is great quality. The fruit juice is cold pressed when you order. And last but not least…the pastries are to die for!!! They have a large selection of pastries, cakes, cake slices, tarts and more…this is my weak spot. This bakery is exceptional in every way.

I've been a customer of Dulce De Leche Bakery for over 15 years. Hands down, this place has the best desserts and cakes in Jersey City! My absolute all-time favorites are carrot cake and chocolate-dipped churros. If you have a chance, try their empanadas. I like how in recent years they added salads, so there's always something for those without a sweet tooth🤭

Everything was great. Food, service, and the atmosphere. Everyone was very nice. Everything was very clean. And it was BUSY (which is a good sign) My wife is from Argentina and approve. I like food and I approve. We had empanadas, sandwich de miga, and some drinks. Worth a trip.

The entire experience was excellent: well-brewed coffee, daily fresh bakery, the sweets are incredible, the medialunas are great, the staff is kind, and the place is clean. It is a must if you are in Jersey City.

The cakes are beautiful and delicious, but you’d need to pick it up yourself instead of getting it delivered so that the cake doesn’t end up smashed in transit. They have great customer service. I will always get cakes here and make time to pick it up myself

We had the coconut mousse cake. It was beautiful to look at but somewhat average in terms of taste. If you are used to buttery, light and decadent French cakes (or Korean versions of French cakes), the coconut mousse cake does not make the cut. Will update this review if I try more on their menu. The bakery has a friendly warm vibe. It was bustling with a lunch crowd and folks picking up their birthday cakes. The line moves quickly so you will need to make up your mind fast.

The soup is amazing. My family likes the Italian wedding and chicken noodle soups, which are served with a generous portion of sliced freshly baked bread. We also ordered the French palmier elephant ear pastries, bacon and egg platters, and avocado toast.
