Dulce De Leche Bakery

This is my favorite bakery in Jersey City!! Everything is extremely affordable, the staff are always friendly, the longest I've ever waited in line is around 10 minutes. I've never gotten anything bad here, their cakes are so moist and fluffy but never too rich. The flavors are always so amazing and everything is baked to perfection. If you are looking for a birthday cake or just a few pastries please come to this bakery, you definitely won't be disappointed and will 100% keep coming back.

I cannot rave enough about this place! I have gotten multiple birthday cakes and other desserts from here and they NEVER disappoint. The cakes are absolutely gorgeous, delicious and not overly sweet. The packaging is very sturdy and visually appealing. They recently made a cake for my daughter's 4th birthday and she was over the moon. The staff was very responsive and gave clear instructions. They had me send a picture of my choosing which was a great option to have and guess what? it was also EDIBLE! Thank you Dulce de Leche for always delivering the best desserts and customer service! Everyone there is also so kind and helpful. I so wish there was a bakery closer to my house but they are worth the drive!

Food was good, staff were friendly. Wish the food displayed had tags because we find it difficult to wait for the staff while the place is busy or assisting other customers. Parking can be difficult.

Dulce De Leche Bakery is one of my favorite spots! For my birthday, I picked up their 8” Dulce De Leche Chantilly cake, and it was absolutely incredible. The rich flavors in every bite were unforgettable, and the texture was just perfect—dense enough to be satisfying but still light and fluffy. It was honestly one of the best cakes I’ve ever had. Even though the bakery was busy when I visited, the staff was friendly and efficient, so I didn’t have to wait long. Their small pastries are just as amazing—everything I’ve tried has been mouthwateringly good. I also decided to grab one of their salads, and while it was a little pricey, it didn’t disappoint. It was super fresh and packed with flavor. The mix of cherry tomatoes, walnuts, dried cranberries, crisp greens, tofu, and avocado was perfectly balanced, and the dressing added just the right amount of richness without overpowering anything. Bonus: ♿️ Accessibility is no issue here as it’s located on the ground floor, making it easy for everyone to enter and exit the store. Parking 🚖: Street parking is available, but it’s metered. Finding a spot can be a headache, especially on weekends. Whether you’re looking for an indulgent treat or something lighter, Dulce De Leche Bakery has it all. The quality of their food and the welcoming atmosphere make it a place I’ll keep coming back to again and again! My experience rating: 1. I happened to be in the area on a Sunday morning and chanced upon this wonderful bakery. The empanadas were soft and perfectly flaky (one of the best I've had in recent times). The croissant was amazing too. Would love to be back for more!

I've been a customer of Dulce De Leche Bakery for over 15 years. Hands down, this place has the best desserts and cakes in Jersey City! My absolute all-time favorites are carrot cake and chocolate-dipped churros. If you have a chance, try their empanadas. I like how in recent years they added salads, so there's always something for those without a sweet tooth. February 8th, 2025 update: beef empanadas are the best! Get them warmed up.

We had the coconut mousse cake. It was beautiful to look at but somewhat average in terms of taste. If you are used to buttery, light and decadent French cakes (or Korean versions of French cakes), the coconut mousse cake does not make the cut. Will update this review if I try more on their menu. The bakery has a friendly warm vibe. It was bustling with a lunch crowd and folks picking up their birthday cakes. The line moves quickly so you will need to make up your mind fast.
