"This excellent downtown cocktail bar has set up garden seating surrounded by plants, flamingos (not real ones), and colorful furniture. Wednesday through Sunday starting at 3pm, get one of the first come, first served tables, and try a vodka cocktail made with cachaca amburana and Suze gentian liqueur. Just know that seating is limited to an hour unless you’re told otherwise by the staff." - hannah albertine, nikko duren, matt tervooren

"Dullboy is our favorite spot in Downtown Jersey City to get drinks and bar snacks before or after dinner. This narrow cocktail bar from the people behind The Garret - which has two bars we like in Manhattan - serves great drinks made with unusual ingredients, like one with nikka gin infused with butterfly pea, mizu sochu green tea, yuzu natural sake. Meet a friend here during Happy Hour, and drink some $8 cocktails or $4 beers while sharing crispy duck fat tater tots topped with a poached egg and rich shredded duck." - Matt Tervooren

Stopped by for a late lunch and the burger hit the spot. Delicious and filling. The drink "Summer somewhere" was well made. Music was perfect and the staff attentive.

dullboy is great spot near Grove st with speakeasy vibes, outstanding service and phenomenal drink menu. The Return of the Mac (Mac n' cheese) is a MUST order, however the deviled eggs are a rare miss. As a deviled egg enthusiast, I unfortunately could not finish them. I think the filling went bad this particular visit. That said, I would still highly recommend the spot to check out.

Really cute new spot! Great cocktails and tasty food. Came late afternoon/early evening on a Saturday and was able to get a table without a reservation (although it started filling up quick.) Definitely worth a visit!

Overall, dull experience. I wanted to love it...because I've heard good things, but was underwhelmed by their menu, disappointed in the quality of the food, loud atmosphere and awkward interactions with the wait staff. Ordered The Silvia mocktail and flying seoul-lo for the entree. Though the mocktails my date and I ordered were the best part of the experience, when asked during the meal if we wanted "real drinks", it led to a very awkward exchange given our choice of sobriety. The flying seoul-lo sandwich was so dry that at one point I had to guzzle water to keep from choking. Was hoping for a creative zest perhaps to the curly fries to compliment the meal, but here too, very dull and lackluster, nothing that you couldn't get at a basic fast food drive-thru. For the price, I'd say save your money and check out one of the other fantastic restaurants Jersey City has to offer.

Drinks are strong, staff are usually wonderful, and bathrooms are clean. It's a little expensive, so keep that in mind if you're on a budget. You can order different drinks to taste and try amongst your group.

Great hand-crafted drinks! Pictured are the Kitara and the Morticia. I recommend either one!
