Where to Eat and Drink in Duluth, Minnesota

"This newly renovated grill has become a popular destination for Midwestern road-trippers thanks in part to a feature on Guy Fieri’s Food Network series Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. At the Duluth Grill, everything from chilaquiles to Mediterranean omelets are served in a classic woodsy interior. Fans have been known to plan an entire road trip just to get an order of the Korean Brussels sprouts." - Justine Jones, Alex Lodner

A DDD experience!)diners drives in and dives Organic with vegan and vegetarian options The best food ever!!! Pricy but the food quality is hands down the best! We wanted to go on the 3rd but they closed at 3. Went back next day best to use their online check in . There was about a 30 min wait but it moved fast , we ate outside with our dog And we got her eggs. Our server was amazing food was hot and it was everything Guy Said it would be. A must stop and eat!!!! My daughter and I had the bison burger and hubby had the hashbrowns, biscuit and gravy with sausage and chicken Homemade ketchup and their homemade sauce makes it a dream along with their home made pickles. My hubby had French pressed coffee I was touched seeing that 5% goes to the cooking and kitchen staff. So they really care about their workers too I wish more restaurants would be health conscious like this one is. To see home grown fruits and veggies growing is an amazing thing . Great experience!!!

This is a Guy Fieri Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. I found out what Guy had here and ordered the same thing. Good choice on my part as it was so good I almost licked my plate. Nice huge menu with plenty of items to pick from. This place is so busy, there was a huge wait, and it’s worth it. I got called after about 20 minutes with a first available seating request. I highly recommend this restaurant. Enjoy…

Quick service, good food, and homey vibes. For a busy weekend, food came out fast with quality still on point. Their pancakes are interesting, but taste good. The French toast was soft and pillowy. Bacon was perfectly crisp. I’d definitely go back again when I’m in town.

Google
This place is rockin’ good food and a fun atmosphere. They were really busy but the wait was pretty short - we did eat at the counter so that shortened the wait but we got lunch and a show. I had the Medieval Gyros - fantastic and my wife had the fish tacos - also fantastic. The pecan roll is wonderful as well. Definitely worth the visit when in Duluth!

Google
Got this to go for lunch because of all the great reviews. And it definitely did not disappoint one of the best meals I've had out in a long time. Maybe one of the best meals I've had out In Duluth, ever. all the components were excellent. So flavorful i already want to go back again and get it And they did such a nice job putting it together in my to go container, and they were very fast, and everything was super fresh. I even got a latte to go. And they waited till I got there to make it, so it was fresh.

As a local I don't get here very often. It's usually busy and high on the price end. Took my daughter and daughter in law. They have gluten free options. Plenty of good food, staff fantastic, was pricey.

Google
This is THE best place to have brunch in Duluth. Truly!! The service is the best I’ve ever had at any restaurant, and not just from our server, but I overheard other people receiving the same level of excellence. The menu is seasonal, and I have to urge you to go at least once every season. If you’re going during the summer, you have to get the Brussels sprouts and the cookie butter nitro. I travel a lot, and though we were just visiting, we already can’t wait to come again when we’re in the area. 1000/10

Google
WOW. This was the best experience I’ve had at restaurant in a long time. Food was great, atmosphere was buzzing & energetic, and the service was literally world-class. Our server, Aidan, was 10/10 on hospitality. Nailed it. Checked in with us multiple times, very kind, and was willing to work with us on some dietary restrictions. He also recommended other good places in town to us, asked us how long we were here (we’re in Duluth for 2 days for work), and was overall just an awesome dude to be around. Great work, Aidan. This is how service should be in a restaurant. Their Berry Matcha was a revelation from heaven. Extraordinary. Like a strawberry matcha milkshake. Coffee is also good. My Mexican Omelette was great, and my wife loved her Huevos. My empty plate speaks for itself. Best experience I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time. I came in a good mood but left 10 times better. Thank you Duluth Grill!

Yelp
Very well staffed. Long wait but worth it !! The staff is working very hard & super kind despite being so busy ! Maple oat iced coffee is AMAZING !!

Yelp
Our traditional stop on our way to Ely MN Always busy ! And these guys can handle it! Food is fresh delicious! Staff always friendly and thoughtful Yummy!

Yelp
Duluth Grill is an amazing breakfast and brunch spot. It gets packed, especially on weekends so I definitely recommend getting your name on the waitlist quickly. You can also join the waitlist online. If you're going alone or with just 1 other person, sitting at the bar is also a great option for avoiding a wait if seats are open. Service - The bartender/barista was extremely attentive and personable and gave great food recommendations. Drinks - I had an iced maple oat latte and boyfriend had drip coffee. Both were delicious. Food - They have incredible vegan options. I had the vegan sombrero with a side of vegan french toast and my boyfriend had the vegan bibimbap which came with sweet potato latkes. Food was incredible and portion sizes were good for the price. Would definitely go back, this was probably our favorite restaurant in Duluth.

Yelp
WOW! Words can't truly capture the delightful essence of of this restaurant. A local favorite for a reason. They have fire pits going so folks who are on the waitlist stay comfortable in the chilly air (52 this morning). They grow many of their own herbs and vegetables including rutabaga. And the food?! I couldn't take it all in. The explosion of flavors and the balance of the sweet and savory. Oh, I asked for black ice tea. Not served there but they had a "tea bar". Got the chai tea and it was worth the price if any of you come to this area - to run a marathon or other outdoor activities, come here. My only regret? Couldn't eat enough. #touristwithrunningshoes #duluthgrill

Yelp
We went to Duluth Grill 2 days in a row because it was so delicious! Depending on what day and time you go, it could be a very long wait. It's a popular place. Once you're seated though, the service is super fast. There's a lot of space and is really fun to sit at the counter seating where you can watch drinks being made. They have great coffee & mimosas. Can't wait to go back and get some huge portions of delicious food.
google avatar

Yelp
Duluth Grill is worth the wait. They don't take reservations, so I would suggest getting your name on their wait list, especially during their weekend service. I've been twice for brunch and the staff were beyond friendly on both occasions, pleasantly chatting with us as we decided on our orders. I went with the breakfast melt per recommendation on my first visit and was not disappointed. Thick cut grilled sourdough holds soft scrambled eggs, melty pepper jack cheese, two thick, flavorful sausage patties, and sweet and savory maple bacon jam. So delightful! On my second occasion, I opted for the breakfast burrito - gigantic! I think it was suffering from one too many components with chorizo, scrambled eggs, hash browns, cotija cheese, tortilla strips, guac, salsa verde, sour cream, and pico - just a lot going on. I was a little bummed that the tortilla wasn't grilled or pan fried as a cold flour tortilla doesn't really do it for me. It was still delicious though and the addition of the tortilla strips added nice crunch. We also split a caramel roll saturated in sweet caramel sauce and topped with chopped pecans balancing out the perfectly soft and sugary interior. I would easily come back to Duluth Grill for the variety of menu options and excellent service in a welcoming and cozy space. A busy spot for good reason, don't skip, just remember to get your name on the wait list.

Yelp
We stopped here for brunch on our way up north, and I'm so glad we did! First time dining here and it won't be the last. The atmosphere inside is so cozy, with a few fireplaces and warm-toned decor. Our server was kind, attentive, and had good suggestions. Their menu is vast - so many tempting options! DRINKS: They offer a few kinds of bloody mary's multiple brunch cocktails, unique mimosa flavors, cider, shrub, lemonade, multiple coffees, smoothies, and teas. We opted for the DG Soother tea and it was so delicious! Served with honey and lemon, in a small glass teapot. FOOD: It was SO hard to pick! They offer omelets, skillets, vegan options, benedicts, a few biscuits and gravy options, and several plates - including unique offerings like leeky waffles, custard french toast, and chicken and pancakes. There are breakfast sammies, burritos, lunch sandwiches, tacos, bowls and salads if you prefer a more lunch menu. We got the everything skillet, corned beef hash skillet, and OG benedict. All was delicious! I was expecting a bit bigger of a portion that I picture from a brunch diner, but it was probably the right (healthy) portion and we didn't have to take leftovers with us. They have specialty hot sauces on the tables (like 6 of them!) that we had a lot of fun trying. They sell their darling mugs, the hot sauce, and other merch onsite that was fun to look through. We'll be back!

Yelp
Everything that I've had there has been amazing. Plan to wait a little while but they have a nice area outside with lots of beautiful flowers check out the bees and butterflies buzzing around all of their organic growing things. They have fun multiple outside fire pits that you can hang out by the fire while you're waiting. They have a nice mix of bland and spicy food for everyone's palette and lots of organic natural options or straight from the area. I would give anything on the menu a try and make sure to wash it down with a fresh cup of coffee or two. The service is great and all the waiters and waitresses are amazingly helpful with recommendations and anything you need.

Jess O.

Yelp
Best food of our trip and our server Aiden was lovely. We appreciate the option to get on the list before we arrive. Waiting is normally not an issue for us, but with the parents in tow any easing of transitions is appreciated. I'd love to recommend one dish over an other, but everything we ate was spot on. Though my iced latte was a brilliant surprise. Thank you!!

Yelp
Awesome place, love it. A must visit in Duluth. Amazing coffee and great service. Love the ambience.

Yelp
Service: No reservation, first come first serve. We had about an hour wait, and you can choose to leave the site and come back since there's a QR code on your phone that's given to you and it tells you in real time where you are in line. If you'd like to wait on site (outside), you can get your drinks first and sip it outside as you wait. Food: Since I'm vegan, I ordered their Bhaji Dosa (for whatever reason, this is on their menu on site but not online). Sort of like a rice and lentil crepe with creamy potatoes stuffed inside. There were not a lot of vegan options but this was very savory and delicious. A little too spicy for me but I have suuuper low spice tolerance so I'm sure it's fine for most people. I'd prefer without nutritional yeast as the topping but to each their own! I ordered the hash browns on the side and that did not disappoint at all. Drinks: I had their Butterfly Ambrosia Tea which was so yummy it's unsweetened so don't expect a super sweet or creamy tea. Of course it looks beautiful!

Justin C.

Yelp
Never had a bad meal here and their lamb shank gyro is by far my all time favorite dish. Service all ways excellent, ambiance is just what you'd expect from the busiest cafe in town..
google avatar

Julee S.

Yelp
Eggs Benedict is the best! Love your freshly baked Carmel Rolls But get there early, it's a very busy place but well worth the wait
google avatar

Jessica T.

Yelp
Heed my advice. Before you're ready to eat here, get on their website and click on Join the Waitlist. You'll thank me later. This place has GREAT food and GREAT service. The wait is LOONNG if you aren't on that list. My family got on the list, then drove across town. We sat outside on the patio around the firepit in nice chairs while we waited. It was maybe 5 mins and we were seated. The food is so varied and good. I got a fruit/granola/berry bowl thing and it was great. Others had the pancakes, hash browns. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu
google avatar

Allison B.

Yelp
Never disappoints! The Brussels sprouts are amazing, love the eggs benedict! Always a solid breakfast!
google avatar

Nadine R.

Yelp
I'm giving four stars because I think that other menu items might be better than what I had. Chicken and Whaaaaat? Buttermilk fried chicken, house made pancake laced with bacon and corn. Topped with spicy maple bacon coffee syrup, goat cheese, and scallions. This was ok but not something I will order again.
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome restaurant. Cindy, our server, was excellent and funny. The menu has a lot of offerings. There were so many items I would have loved to try. Something for everyone - picky eaters, adventurous, gluten free, etc... They have parking and I recommend calling ahead to get on their seating list. You will need to estimate your time of arrival. Check out their beverage menu ... lots of choices. The Local (from the tea bar) - Chamomile, Rosehips, Red Clover Blossoms, Cedar Bow, Nettle & Raspberry Leaf. Served hot with honey and lemon. Loose tea served in a pot and it was wonderful. Verde Bene - Stacked verde enchiladas, roasted verde pork, two organic eggs, hatch chili sauce, hollandaise, pico de gallo, pickled red onion, and fresh cilantro. Served with a breakfast side and I picked hashbrowns. Fantastic combo with a lot of flavor and perfect hashbrowns. Farmer's Feast - Two organic eggs, choice of meat and your choice of any two sides. My husband really liked this. DO NOT SKIP DESSERT. Banana Cream Pie - this was a true treat and assembled just for you. House made pie crust filled with vanilla bean custard, fresh cut banana slices, caramel sauce drizzle, and topped with powdered sugar and fresh whipped cream. I wanted to lick the plate. We really loved this restaurant and will be back in July.

Yelp
We had to wait a bit to seat our party of 9, but since we were part of a convention in town, and this place is semi-famous, this was expected. Once seated, service was prompt and our server was very knowledgeable about the menu. There were so many choices for all kinds of eaters, but 2 of us went with the Street Corn Salad. It was delicious and almost too big to finish, but I did. The building is kind of rustic and our server had a sort of lumberjack look, but the walls are covered with a variety of art, all different styles.

Yelp
As first timers to Duluth I was on the search for a great breakfast place to start our weekend visit and wowwww this place hit the spot! It was a fairly big on the inside and all the staff were super friendly. It deserves all the good reviews people have given it. What we ordered: -"A.T.C." Biscuits & Gravy House made biscuit stacked with avocado, slice of tomato, and buttermilk fried chicken breast. Topped with country sausage gravy and served with a breakfast side. -Everything Skillet Hashbrowns, Jones Farm sausage and cherrywood smoked bacon, onions, peppers, tomatoes, shredded cheese, two organic eggs, and hollandaise. (GF) -Cinnamon Roll Topped with house made cardamom frosting. All the above were very very good. Didn't have any complaints. We would highly recommend this restraint to anyone living in or visiting the Duluth area! Tip: This is a popular spot so plan to get there early or plan to have a little wait! There's also a parking lot on the side/back side of the building.

Yelp
We stopped by Duluth Grill on our way back from the North Shore based on the great reviews and our experience completely lived up to the hype. We had about a 30 minute wait, but it was 100% worth it. Not much more to say that hasn't been said, but the staff was amazing considering how busy it was, the decor was kind of cool without trying too hard, and the food was absolutely top notch.
google avatar

Cam M.

Yelp
This is hands-down one of my favorite restaurants. The food is amazing, as evidenced by the long line of people always waiting to get in. The service is also exceptional-bringing joy with the food.
google avatar

Chris W.

Yelp
Amazing food, the service was outstanding. Plan ahead or plan to wait by the outdoor firepits. The place is always packed. Why because the food is worth the wait.
google avatar

Yelp
This is another must stop everytime we go visit my SIL! We cannot say enough good things about Duluth grill- it's truly an AMAZING spot. We split the miso pork belly Benedict and had the smashed dill potatoes and a brunch salad as our sides. Both sides were literally next level and my salad was so fresh, it was unreal. Aiden provided kind and fantastic service to us and was patient and accommodating as we made our decisions. The vibe here is so cute and it's just a homey and intricate spot. I literally already texted the bartenders where I work to try to recreate this marg because it was that stinking good! Jake loved his cocktail too and if we didnt have more places to stop at, we would tried our hand at a few more drinks! As always x we cannot wait to stop again on our next trip to town!
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent food with a keen focus on quality. Exceptional service that is warm and inviting. Definitely a must stop when visiting or passing through Duluth.

Yelp
What a fun, local place for brunch!! I've always wanted to try Duluth Grill but it was never the right timing - and this time it worked out and we were all very excited after looking at their unique menu. It was more awesome that the restaurant sources locally, which says a lot about its mission and one can taste the difference! We got there around 10:20am and there was about an hour wait which wasn't surprising, so we went to canal park and came back extra hungry and ready to order. Our servers were very helpful and friendly, and answered our questions well. We were surprised to see some Korean inspired items on their menu, but we opted for other options. They offered classic brunch dishes but each with a spin and everything sounded so good. First off we had the MN maple latte split two ways which ended up being plenty - since one costs more than $7 it ends up not bad price wise. We ordered the deluxe biscuits and gravy with a side of cheesy grits, apple waffles, corned beef hash skillet, and the benedict with dill pickle hash and shared it all family style. Everything was delicious but my favorite was probably the corned beef hash, the flavors stood out to me the most it was the most memorable. Definitely stop by Duluth grill if you're in town / are able to get a spot before they close at 3pm! Would absolutely come back again.
google avatar

Stephanie A.

Yelp
SOLID five star experience. Despite being packed to the brim on a weekend morning for brunch these folks run a well oiled operation. My friends and I waited maybe only about 25 mins which was honestly worth it! The food the vibes the staff were all amazing. Our food came out quickly and was just drool worthy. Even with a full house our server was friendly and didn't feel rushed. I got a cinnamon roll to share and then eggs Benedict. Both amazing but tbh the caramel roll that my friends got looked better! Worth the hype, worth the wait. Best brunch I've had in awhile.
google avatar

Michelle D.

Yelp
Great service by Lori, and cute ambiance as well. Really enjoyed our Bloody Mary's and breakfast. The hash browns are heavenly.
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
I went here for breakfast with my friend on Sunday at 8:50 am. They open at 8 and it was already packed and people waiting outside. They said that people usually line up outside before 8 and they have an online wait list people can also sign up for. We were told there were 15 parties ahead of us but that it would go quick. We were seated in less than 15 minutes. They have a full bar. I had a bloody Mary. I ordered the Billy Bob burrito with fried chicken, bacon, hash browns and smothered in gravy. My friend had the everything scramble. Service was quick and friendly, it was a great atmosphere and lots of different food to choose from. I would go back again.
google avatar

Abhijit B.

Yelp
Really awesome place with great service and many vegetarian and vegan options. The curry bowl was delicious with. Chicken and Thai curry while the Mediterranean was satisfying

Betty X. Y.

Yelp
The service was amazing! I had a three year old with me who was literally hangry to the max, but our waitress was so amazing and brought out a fruit plate for him and he instantly calmed down. I also loved the atmosphere there. It was definitely welcoming. We tried to get a good variety of food (see picture), and it was such a vibe. The tastes were definitely there. I give my curry bowl an 8.7/10. The pancake? I mean it's a pancake. We will definitely be going back here when we visit Duluth again.

Yelp
Best brunch place in Duluth...forks down! Another spot that makes the itinerary every trip to the North Shore! On a Saturday/Sunday morning, expect a long wait! We usually put our name in and then drive over and grab coffee at 190 Coffee! Parking is tough, given the demand, so we usually snag a spot in the adjoined gas station lot. The space itself is cozy, and bustling with tourists and locals trying to get their comfort food on! We've always had amazing service, and tend to tip a little extra because they are a well oiled machine! The food and drinks are phenomenal! I thought it was funny because the woman next to me at the bar was asking for "healthy options" and the server was rattling off a list of things! I ONLY come here for the opposite...carb-loaded, creamy brunch favorites that warm the soul! On my most recent trip, I had the deluxe biscuits and gravy...complete with a sausage patty and fried chicken breast. It was decadent!! Elite tip: your breakfast usually comes with a side, and I always opt for the caramel roll to go, so I have something sweet later in the day! Their Bloody Marys are also top notch! Keep doing what you're doing, Duluth Grill! I don't want ya to ever change! :)
google avatar

Laurie P.

Yelp
Loved the menu and the food here, and the service was spot-on. I'm only disappointed that I didn't get to visit more than once while I was in town! I was craving chicken and waffles, so I ordered a dish called "Chicken and Whaaa?", which was actually fried chicken strips on a huge pancake topped with a coffee/maple/bourbon syrup and goat cheese. Goat cheese! It was different - and incredible. Loved every bite, though it was too big for me to finish. This is a great place for breakfast/brunch, bring your appetite for sure!
google avatar

Ashley C.

Yelp
There's a reason this place is packed on the weekends! Despite being so busy on a Sunday morning, they had tons of staff and ran like a well-oiled machine. The service was amazing, our food came out quick and delicious. We split the "Chicken and Whaaa" (chicken with pancake) and the breakfast burrito. That chicken and pancake was something else. The pancake was so good with the perfect texture and all the delicious stuff they put in it. The chicken and other toppings, my goodness I'm hungry just thinking about it! One of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time. The breakfast burrito was also outstanding. My husband doesn't like guac and even he liked the guac it came with. Everything was top notch, portions were huge. Prices aren't bad considering the portion sizes and that they source local, organic, and make just about everything from scratch. Worth the wait! And you can join the waitlist online which is a nice time saver.
google avatar

Kimberly G.

Yelp
A must do in Duluth. We make a point of stopping here everytime we drive to the north shore. It's usually quite a long wait - but forsureee worth it. The chilaquiles are my go to- and my husband typically gets anything with their amazing hollandaise. I highly suggest the bloody Mary's as well - especially the tequila one that comes with a whole taquito on the side!!
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
Fantastic spot for breakfast! Great coffee, wonderful food, and attentive service. If you're anywhere near Duluth make a point to stop here for a great meal!

Kristy L.

Yelp
Stopped in for a late lunch on a Thursday and the place was packed! We went on the waiting list, but were seated quickly in a small booth off the bar. The waitress was nice and quick. I had a the Bruncher cocktail, which is not something I would normally order, but was fantastic and ended up drinking 2. For lunch my husband had The Deluxe, and I ordered the Huevero Skillet with Chorizo and over easy eggs. The deluxe is very rich and heavy, so be sure you like serious comfort food when you order it. The skillet was the best skillet I have ever eaten, and I have had hundreds of them. I'd make the trip back to Duluth for this dish alone. Well done Duluth Grill!

Michele M.

Yelp
OMG. Such a blast. Just to read the menu is fun!! The food has a special flair and the servixe is impeccable. Definitely worth stopping for.

Yelp
Nice and cozy American Restaurant with many that one needs to discover. Very clean. Personnel very nice, hospitable and professional. Food very good as well as drinks and particularly coffee. I mean elaborated coffee. Cappuccino, Espresso, you name it. Check the saucer and coffee cup, detail, wonderful. One dish that brough my attention was the Corned Beef Hash. Very much different to the average that can be eaten around. I am not telling the secret, please stop by. In one word, hungry, stop by. Not hungry, only for a coffee or a snack, stop by. Enjoy! I will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
An absolute must stop when visiting Duluth! This was recommended by a friend so we made our way down to the Duluth Grill. An amazing menu of delicious food with generous portions and fabulous sides. I ordered a biscuits and gravy with a side of hash browns. Simply delicious! I had a latte that was very good, but disappointed that I didn't order one of their signature Bloody Marys because they looked amazing. Super cool people that work here and the service is fast and amazing. I love all of their signature side sauces here that are also available for purchase. Love this place and my only regret is that I haven't been here before on my many business trips to Duluth. I will be back and the Duluth Grill will be part of my rotation!

Kathleen L.

Yelp
Every time I eat here w/friends it is a 10+. Do not miss it on your trip to Duluth! Worth every penny!
google avatar

Yelp
Yes! We had biscuits and gravy, both cinnamon rolls, bacon egg cheese biscuit with potatoes and northern Benedict biscuits and gravy. Everything was great. O
google avatar

Yelp
Seriously top notch food and coffee. Barabacoa skillet was delicious. Will definitely be eating here again while in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
If we could give 10 stars we would!! Absolutely picked this spot to eat on a whim... simply incredible!! Such a unique menu that did not disappoint... but the highlight was Andrea our server... her service felt like a warm hug from my mom!! We would wait an hire or more next time, just to know we are in her area!!!

Yelp
Visited 8/22/23. Duluth Grill is always incredibly hard to get into and there's a reason why. Everything is fantastic and you can't go wrong with the menu. We went on a Tuesday around 12ish with two of us and waited about 15-20 minutes. They do have a waitlist app that tells you exactly where you're at on the list so you can venture while you wait (don't venture too far because you have to check in once receiving a text that your table is ready within 5 minutes). After waiting, we put in for an order of coffee. They have a nice coffee selection and all of the lattes you can get hot or iced. The iced coffee hit the spot. It was venturing into brunch/lunch time so I got the bibimbap bowl and my friend got the BLT with a chosen side of the dill potatoes (I've had multiple of the sides and I liked the red potato hash personally but these potatoes were also great). The bowl had such a perfect mix of flavors that combined well together. It had a slight kick to it spice wise so if you're really not a spice fan I would order sans jalapeños, but it wasn't too spicy overall. Duluth grill is always worth the wait time.
google avatar

Tiana D.

Yelp
SO GOOD. Well worth the hour wait, especially since it's easy to be added to a virtual wait list. One of the guys behind the bar recommended the Leeky Waffle and it was so good - perfect balance between sweet and savory. The bacon Bloody Mary with aquavit was also incredible. Only complaint is that the place got a little crowded with people waiting for tables, but didn't deter from anything.

Yelp
Oh Duluth Grill, how I love you so I've been to this lovely restaurant 3 times now, and each time I've had a brilliant meal with stellar service. There are very few places that I'd happily wait an hour for, but Duluth Grill is one of them. From their homey but refined and modern interior, to the locally sourced ingredients, and their insanely good cocktails, I find myself mind blown every time I get the chance to eat here! I've almost always sat at the bar, and I am so impressed by the efficiency and cleanliness of the magic I see before my eyes. I've had their dude abides cocktail every time I've visited. It's a delicious twist on the classic White Russian and I love munching on the Cocoa Puffs on top. I've had their turmeric cocktail and their stat spangled one as well. Both were unlike anything I've had before and were delicious! As for the food, you truly can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Definitely get the house hashbrowns with beets, and I'd recommend their miso dish as well. Can't wait for my next trip to Duluth so I can stop by this gem again :) As a side note, the owners of this place also own a few other restaurants in the area that are also worth checking out ! OMC Smokehouse and Corktown Deli

Yelp
3.5 Stars When we drove into the parking lot of Duluth Grill we realized we'd eaten here before several years ago. We both had vaguely good memories so decided to go for it. The restaurant is pretty big and cute, with an "eclectic" feel to the decor. The menu is also pretty big. My husband had some sort of hash or Benedict, and I had the Wok-O-Tacos. The food came out alarmingly fast. Food was good but not great. We each had a Bloody Mary and sadly they were not good at all. I think we had the Straight Up Bloody and Bacon Bloody, but neither of us enjoyed them. Also worth mentioning that if you want a beer back it's a $3 full can of beer, not a complimentary little taster beer. However, I also ordered the MPL Oatmilk Latte and it was delicious! We enjoyed a couple of the sauces available on the table and purchased them from the register area on our way out. I'd come back to the Duluth Grill but probably wouldn't go out of my way for it, except maybe for the MPL Oatmilk Latte. Breakfast is served all day, but they close at 3 so you can have breakfast for breakfast or lunch, but not dinner.

Yelp
Maybe it's because we just ran Grandma's Marathon yesterday and are still sore, tired and hungry, but this is one of the best restaurants we've been to in Minnesota! Even though it was Father's Day, we checked in online and didn't have long to be seated. Our waitress was quite friendly, personable and enthusiastic about her recommendations. I asked to be surprised with a whisky brunch drink, and Kyle the bartender came over with a delicious Irish coffee. It made me feel so appreciated despite the staff being so busy! I had the Drunken Noodles and man, is it to die for! It was hearty, flavorful and a bit spicy. My husband absolutely loved his Korean toast and our friend devoured her Waka Tacos! Overall, I can't wait to visit Duluth again just so I can come back here!

Yelp
My grandmother visited Duluth Grill 7 years ago. And she has spent the last few years talking about it. The second thing she loved besides the food, was the ceramic mugs. She passed on the opportunity to buy one and had regretted it ever since. When I saw a photo that she took of it, I decided to reach out to The Grill and see if we could surprise her with a set. Chelsea helped us immensely. She took my call, sent me photos of individual mugs to pick from, and shipped them across the country for us. I cannot describe the satisfaction my grandmother will get from seeing these. I can see why my grandmother hasn't forgotten Duluth Grill all those years ago.
