Dumpling Cafe is a bustling Chinatown gem where late-night cravings meet a vast menu of scrumptious dumplings and flavorful Taiwanese and Sichuan dishes.
"Dumpling Cafe is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Boston and has some of the best dumplings too. It isn’t serving a special New Year’s Eve menu, but it will be open, and you should order the whole menu (or at least the Taiwan-style pan-fried dumplings, pork soup dumplings, deep-fried pig intestines, string beans, and Taiwan-style eggplant). Dumpling Cafe is currently open for takeout, as well as delivery via DoorDash and Grubhub." - Terrence Doyle
"What to Eat: Taiwan-style pan-fried dumplings. They are as good as it gets in Boston. Also worth ordering at Dumpling Cafe: the Taiwan-style eggplant and the string beans. Where to Eat: Mary Soo Hoo Park (Hudson Street, Boston), which is located down the street and around the corner from the restaurant, adjacent to the Chinatown Gate. (It’s at the Chinatown end of the Rose Kennedy Greenway. Can’t find a good space? Keep following the Greenway for more options.) How to Order: Official Website [takeout] / DoorDash [takeout/delivery] / Grubhub [takeout/delivery] / Uber Eats [delivery]" - Terrence Doyle, Rachel Leah Blumenthal
"I eat this dish six times a year. It is sweet and spicy and savory and garlicky, and its sauce is the perfect binder for scoops of white rice. Pair it with a side of Taiwan-style pan-fried pork dumplings, charred string beans, and fried pork intestine, and drink two or three bottles of Tsingtao while you’re at it. Chinatown is teeming with excellent restaurants, and yet whenever I’m there I always find myself going back to Dumpling Cafe. —TBD" - Rachel Leah Blumenthal, Terrence Doyle, Dana Hatic
"Dumpling Cafe is a Chinatown institution. Order the Taiwan-style eggplant. Order the Taiwan-style pan-fried dumplings. Order the pork soup dumplings. Have a couple Tsingtaos. Leave knowing you’ve eaten some of the tastiest things in the city, even if you quickly bored of hearing about your date’s ambiguous, mind-numbing corporate finance job." - Terrence Doyle
"MC Slim JB says Dumpling Café has his favorite soup dumplings in town." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal
