"After building up a fan base at various farmers markets and festivals, Chinese pop-up Dumpling Haus is headed to a permanent location. The restaurant from self-trained chef Elaine Won is set to open its doors at 2313 Edwards Street, Suite 180 in the Sawyer Yards development early next year. For those who aren’t in the know, Won’s been testing her pan-fried dumplings at spots across the city since 2018, including stops at popular bars like Axelrad and Johnny’s Gold Brick. It’s a family effort for Won, who operates the restaurant with her daughters Ashley Lai and Amiley Lai. When Dumpling Haus debuts at Sawyer Yards, expect a dumpling-focused menu bolstered by “homestyle Chinese dishes” like beef noodle soup, glass noodles, and liang ban, or a selection of Taiwanese cold dishes. Grab-and-go options will be on offer, along with plenty of eats for vegan and gluten-free diners. Expect Dumpling Haus to hit Sawyer Yards in January 2020. Stay tuned for an opening date." - Amy McCarthy

Excellent flavors! Fairly small menu, but great options for people with varying pallets. We got the vegan fried dumplings and they were perfectly fried and had lots of flavor. The Vegan red chili oil wonton had a really great sauce and balance of flavors. I really enjoyed the Chili Garlic Noodle Special, but the flavors weren't as vibrant as the Red Chili dish. The fried rice was good too, our little guy enjoyed it and it was a good portion.

I’ve been coming to Dumpling Haus for years and I must say, their dumplings are the best I’ve tried thus far. Their brick and mortar location is spacious as it is located in Sawyer Yards in the Heights. They have inside seating & parking is not an issue. Their menu offers vegan & gluten free friendly options without compromising any flavor. My favorite menu items are the Stir Fried Market Vegetables paired with Vegan Dumplings. I upgrade from the white rice to the glass noodles which are a gluten-free option. It would be nice if they would change their vegetables occasionally. The dumplings are phenomenal, I’ve tried various dumplings and these are the best with their flavor profile. We have also tried their Vegan Fried Rice, Vegan Wonton Soup, and Dumpling Noodle Soup which were delightful. I would definitely suggest for anyone to come and try their food, especially their dumplings as they offer them by the dozen to take home and cook on your own time! If I could recommend an item from their menu it would have to be their beloved dumplings with Hot Sauce, you will be left satisfied.

Affordable food with many vegan and glutenfree options! The staff is very friendly and wait times are reasonable. It’s not a cozy sit-down restaurant but if you’re craving take out, it’s perfect. I got the vegan/glutenfree stir fry bowl for $9 and it was very good. The veggies were perfectly cooked. My husband got the vegan dumplings and really liked them.

If you read ONE review read this one. This is my favorite local spot. I just wanna show my appreciation because the people here are SO SWEET AND NICE. This place has super consistently high quality food for only 12-13 bucks a bowl. I eat here ALOT cuz it’s so hard to find QUALITY food in the heights where they charge 5.50 for a taco -_- Ive lived here almost 2 years in the apartments next door and I’ve probably eaten Dumpling Haus over 100 times it’s atleast a once a week thing for me. If they didn’t close so early (at 730-830)I’d eat there way more often!

Nice little place! We got the Hong Kong noodle bowl, pork dumplings, and soy sauce eggs (the soy sauce marinated eggs were SOOO good!!!). There are no fountain drinks but they do have a variety of bottled non-soda drinks, as well as water.

Ordered fried vegan/veg dumplings, mapo-tofu and a chili garlic noodle bowl. Fried dumplings are great, the cili garlic sauce also tastes great and spicy. The mapo-tofu was Ok, coz it felt lacking something when just having the bowl as is. One recommendation though is to add more toppings or get dumplings with these rice/noodle bowl. Its just that the dish alone didn’t have enough ingredients/ felt a bit lacking tastes good though but yeah. Also i had takeout, and noticed noodle in bowl looked as what you get in a microwaveable noodles, like a hard noodle cake that takes shape of container.

This place is adorable. Parking was a bit of a challenge but their food was worth the effort. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The pan-fried pork dumplings were spiced just right. The shrimp and chicken dumpling noodle soup came out steaming and the broth really hit the spot. We tried the Hong Kong BBQ pork over rice and over egg noodles... my mouth and my tummy were greatly appreciative. Cold, iced Jasmine flavored tea in a bottle soothed my soul. We bought frozen dumplings and soup home to enjoy later! We can't wait to visit again!

The most delicious bbq pork and chicken, with egg noodles. Baby bok choi and pickled cabbage were a savory counterpoint! Pork dumplings were on point as well, naturally! Staff was friendly and helpful. Will go back to make my way through the rest of the menu!
