If you're not certain about how you feel about "tip culture," then I don't recommend this place at all. I have provided 7.00 to 10.00 tips on a 20.00 dollar tab, frequently. There have been 3 times I have left no tip at all. This was one of those 3.
To the manager/waiter- it's entirely to do with your crappy demeanor and attitude, to answer your question. I can see from reading these other reviews that I'm not the first person you pulled that on and that you have a reputation for these behaviors.
My daughter, unfortunately, chose this place for her birthday dinner. There were plenty of tables available, but he sandwiched the 4 of us in between 2 other large families, less than 5 inches away. After being there for some time, I excused myself and asked if they were able to do a birthday song- typical things for a birthday celebration, etc. He said no, but the fact that they don't do anything isn't the problem. It was the delivery of the answer- short, abrupt, truncated, annoyed, like I was asking for a free meal.
Then, knowing it was her birthday, he brings everyone else's meal first, and she's sitting there with no food, watching everyone enjoy.
That's what lost you your tip, dude- I don't care what anyone says, including you. Tips are optional- and if you hate your job or people so much that you can't put a smile on your face and wish someone a happy birthday, you should find another vocation.
Reading these reviews, I am lucky I paid cash because apparently they fraudulate the tips on your bill if you use credit per other reviews on here and Google reviews.
But this IS THE PART YOU REALLY SHOULD READ- the bad attitude was not enough...no. This ***wipe literally runs me down as I leave the restaurant and demands a tip. DEMANDS. I really don't care what the rest of you think. I won't subtract a tip for bad food, but I DEMAND a good attitude and good service, or YOU DON'T GET MY TIP MONEY, ****. I OWE YOU NOTHING BUT THE FOOD TAB. The only reason you got away with that was my daughter's birthday and not wanting to ruin it. A normal person would get that the 2.00 you shook me down for on the 46.00 bill was a bigger insult than no tip...but I doubt you'll get that. If it wasn't for that, you would have got the scene you wanted, plus some! I would have informed you exactly why I didn't tip in a voice loud enough to inform everyone. I would have defined the label "KAREN"
The food was decent, but consider if you want to be served by people like this, guard your credit card, and if you decide you did not have a good experience, be prepared to show down.
