Dumpling House

I really enjoyed this shop I found by smell in Pacific Mall! The man was running the shop, rolling out wrappers and folding dumplings all on his own. He was so nice, smiled a lot and we got by with my limited Mandarin and his limited English lol. The dumplings are great if you like chunkier meat texture (not minced/pounded), and thicker, chewy dough. That's my preference anyway! If you like thin, delicate dough without much bite, this probably isn't the place for you. Got the pork and cabbage boiled dumplings and they were delicious.

We saw all the hype on YT and IG about this place, and given the high ratings on Google, decided to give it a go. To be completely honest, these were the saddest looking dumplings I’ve ever had. The dumplings were fried to death in shallow oil in a pan, and tasted mostly of dough and grease (look at the photos lol). For the same price, you can get a big bag of dumplings from T&T and cook it the same way at home. When we asked the owner if we received the wrong item or not (they legit looked deep fried), and questioned the “pan fried-style” they advertised, the male owner became rude and defensive towards us. We took a picture of their stall since we wanted to leave an honest Google review, so when he saw that we took photos, he became extremely hostile and threatening. He followed my partner into the main food hall, shouting in Mandarin as he went. Needless to say, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, not even a hungry homeless person. Go somewhere else.

This place is amazing! Everything made fresh to order. The man was super nice and friendly. I got the following: 1 order of pan fried dumplings which were fried to PERFECTION! Golden brown on all sides with an amazing crunch. Shrimp and pork filling was nice and juicy. 1 order of boiled dumplings which were also amazing. The wrapper was super thin but still held its integrity. Chive, shrimp and pork filling was delicious and flavourful. I’m personally not a fan of chili oil but the combination of the chili oil, soy sauce and vinegar was to die for. It was a bit pricy, 20 dumplings for 23$ but the authenticity and work that goes into it was worth it. Def recommend over and over again 👌👌

This place is a solid 10/10. The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, and you can really taste the care that he puts into each dumpling, which are all made from scratch. The flavours are amazing, and the prices are great. I tried the Italian zucchini, egg, and dried shrimp dumplings, and they were absolutely delicious!

I ordered the pan fried shrimp dumplings (B1). Super crispy, fried to perfection. Could use some more filling but otherwise flavour is all there and tastes super fresh, made to order. I recommend adding the hot chilli oil, soy sauce, and vinegar. Gentleman who works there is super sweet and I’ll always come back here when I’m at Pmall!

Love this place!!!! You know the food is good if you forget to take pictures and just start eating. I’d recommend everything at this store as it is all hand made with lots of love. I can’t pick which I enjoyed more, pan fried and crispy to perfection and go perfectly with their sauces, the boiled absorb the sauces so well and when you bite it is a burst of flavour. So yummy enjoy your meals guys!!!

Went here for lunch with my SO and was not disappointed. The place is small and meant for take-out or sit-in at the food court in the mall itself, but the man working is super sweet and despite his broken English, was very fun to talk to. The dumplings can be ordered boiled or pan fried and are delicious either way (although I personally prefer them boiled at this location). We tried the authentic chinese chives, pork, and shrimp as well as the mutton and carrot dumplings which were both great. Overall, if you're in Pacific Mall, check out this place on the second floor; you won't be disappointed.

10/10 dumplings made fresh to order. The house made chilli oil was also sooooo good. Would come back again
