Dumpling King’s namesakes are solid, but the mains are better - Review - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Dumpling King is one of the many (many) two-word SF restaurants that starts with “Dumpling.” In spite of that, it’s actually the well-executed Chinese entrees that make this Richmond spot worth visiting. You’ll of course also find the requisite boiled, steamed, and pan-fried dumplings on the menu, including pretty decent xiao long bao and spicy wontons. But a night in the casual space is best spent focusing on the bigger plates, from sticky chicken wings to the fresh noodles draped in silky black bean sauce. It’s easy to walk in, even with a group—and unlike most spots on this stretch of Clement, they’re open until 11pm from Thursday to Sunday. photo credit: Monica Lo photo credit: Monica Lo photo credit: Monica Lo photo credit: Monica Lo photo credit: Monica Lo Pause Unmute Food Rundown Zhajiang Mien Our favorite dish here. The ground pork and black bean sauce are fantastic, and the noodles are springy enough to use as bungee cords. photo credit: Monica Lo Salt And Pepper Fish Craggy edges, the perfect salty-crunchy mix of onions and jalapeños, and a flaky interior—it’s pretty much impossible to stop yourself from reaching for another piece, and then another. photo credit: Monica Lo Scallion Oil Noodles Another hit from the fresh noodle section. If you’ve got a vegetarian in the group, go with this. Dry-Fried Chicken Wings Mildly spicy, bright red, and drenched in a sticky sauce the consistency of hot glue, these are a great add to any order. photo credit: Monica Lo Shanghai Soup Dumpling You can get a better version elsewhere in the city, but we’ve never been mad about these. photo credit: Monica Lo Juicy Pan Fried Kurobuta Pork Baos Hit or miss. Sometimes, the bottoms are overwhelmingly crunchy, and there isn’t much to the pork filling. Other times, they’re juicy and well-proportioned. photo credit: Monica Lo House Special Pan Fried Rice Noodle This dish comes with petals of fried noodles on the side, and they’re good, if not a bit impractical to break off and eat. This is solid, but we’d focus on the fresh noodles instead. Ice Bear Thai Tea This drink is topped with a bear-shaped ice cube that's frankly f*cking adorable. Take a picture, sip, and watch as the bear sinks slowly into its bathtub of thai tea. photo credit: Monica Lo" - Julia Chen

Power Ranking Every Two-Word SF Restaurant That Starts With "Dumpling" - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Naturally, lots of the places on this guide hone in on their dumplings. But Dumpling King in the Richmond, like a certain 4’8” gymnast, is great all around. Their xiao long bao are generously soupy and the steamed chicken and corn dumplings have perfectly bouncy edges. The entrees are even better. Go for the salt and pepper pork or the zhajiang mien with housemade noodles draped in a velvety black bean sauce." - julia chen 1, ricky rodriguez

Google
One of my favorites in the city! Their food is fresh, great quality and SO good. The staff is super friendly and the ambiance is so cozy. We have been a few times and our favorites have been: hot and sour soup, bbq pork bao, sichuan spicy fried chicken & the custard buns. Definitely worth checking out!

We tried Dumpling King as it is one of the restaurants open later on Clement St, and were not disappointed. We were with my nieces, who can be quite picky and difficult to please. We ordered the salmon avocado fried rice, shanghai soup dumpling, kimchi & pork soup dumpling, shrimp & scallop dumpling, pan fried chicken pot sticker, and zhajiang mian. We all really loved the dumplings. My nieces especially loved the shanghai soup dumpling, but my partner and I preferred the kimchi & pork soup dumpling since it was slightly spicy. We also loved the shrimp & scallop dumpling, and wished we got another order since it only came with three dumplings. The pan fried chicken pot stickers were also very good, with the filling having a nice meaty and chivey flavor. I thought the zhajiang mian was pretty tasty, although my partner (half Korean) said the flavor was a bit different from a traditional zhajiang mian. The salmon avocado fried rice was the least memorable. It wasn't bad, but we probably would another something else next time. Overall, we really enjoyed Dumpling King and would come back again!

Google
I think I found my new favorite Chinese restaurant in the city!! Everything we had was soooo delicious and reasonably priced. I like the cozy dine-in experience and how you could watch and see how fresh the dumplings and noodles are made. Will definitely be going back and bringing my family and friends here. What we ordered: Shanghai soup dumplings, zhajianjmian fresh noodles, pan friend pork bao, ice bear green lychee, ice bead honey lemon Highly recommend!

Google
Went here with a big group after a round at Presidio. Absolutely perfect spot! Pitchers of Saporro, dumplings immaculate, noodles absolutely delicious, the cumin lamb was reordered a few times but the creme de la creme was the salt and pepper pork chops. Will 100% go back to Dumpling King anytime I visit SF. Forgot to take pictures of the food because it kept coming out nonstop. Service was great and the food was scrumptious. Must go!

Google
Another fantastic visit to Dumpling King! This was my third time dining here, and I finally brought my parents along & they absolutely loved it. Everything from the juicy xiao long bao to the crispy pan-fried dumplings was on point. The Shanghainese stir-fried noodles and dry-fried chicken wings are a must here; so flavorful and satisfying. Also unlocked a new favorite today: their black sesame dessert buns was soft, nutty, and just the right amount of sweetness. The service was friendly and fast, and the food came out piping hot. It’s always such a treat to find a spot that’s consistently good, and Dumpling King never disappoints. Can’t wait to try more of the menu on my next visit.

Google
Honestly, this place IMO is better than Dumpling Home in Hayes Valley. We walked in at 5:30, and food came super quickly. Everything we got was amazing. We got the Four Bao Special, Broccoli beef (cuts of beef were high quality), Shanghai soup Dumplings, Shumai (?) dumplings. SOOO GOOD. Our server Johnson was super nice and helpful in the ordering process. The atmosphere is cool as you can see the chefs making the food and it’s very clean. Bathrooms were very clean which is something I always look for!! 5 stars from me, will definitely be back.

P C.

Google
Not fine dining but very solid dumplings and food. The soup dumplings were tasty, but our 5 pot stickers could have used more browning and the salt and pepper wings were battered and deep fried. Tasty, but not what we expected. Service was good and the non dumpling dishes looked good too.

Thiago S.

Google
Amazing food and staff. Tasted the garlic noodles, pork/shrimp dumplings, sour & sweet chicken, the rice. Everything was so tasteful. The chili sauce on the table also really good!

Yelp
Walked by Dumpling King while we were visiting Green Apple Books. The photos in the windows looked very appetizing and after a quick check on Yelp, we decided to eat lunch here. From the outside, it looked like it might be a hole-in-the-wall, but we were pleasantly surprised to see that it was very clean inside. The menu was two different laminated pages. We started off with the cucumber salad, which came in a cute dish, and were good. Their Shanghai soup dumplings were perfect - with a thicker wrapper, which I prefer. Chow mein was decent. The pan fried chicken potstickers had kale and corn inside, which I was not expecting - while the presentation was lovely, I should have ordered the pan fried pork buns (the photo of which caught my eye). I had heard that dumplings were all the rage in SF and was not up to a long wait at a famous dumpling restaurant. Dumpling King had exactly what we wanted, without the wait!

Yelp
Very clean with nice touch of decoration. Service is very tentative and fast. A big plus when you have to worry about parking at a meter. Easy menu so you know exactly what you are getting. Sao long bao - 8/10 tased good, mushy fillings rather than juice popping. Pot sticker - 7/10 fillings have more vege than meat made it kinda mushy and skin was not hardened or crunchy. Pan fried buns - 8/10 juice popping and meat was tasty. Skin was a tiny bit too thick and caused dryness Noodles - 9/10 good portion, soup is good but took over by overwhelming white pepper, still not bad.

Yelp
Dumpling King replaced a slew of restaurants that previously occupied this space. Pretty good XLBs and dim sum. Surprisingly for us as we previously tried another restaurant at this same spot serving similar items and that one wasn't as good. Our favorites on recent visit are the XLBs, the Siu Mai, shrimp and chives dumplings. Service is also good. Give them a try next time you are shopping around here. Located on Clement and 5th Ave.

Yelp
Menu is a bit confusing. It's a big menu as expected from the Clement street. However things that should be appetizer are in their own meat sections etc. regardless the food is better than an average Chinese restaurant. Soup dumplings are great. I got cumin lamb and didn't disappoint. Service is not anything special, it's ok. The place did a nice job with decorating- a waterfall projected on a large wall with pretty flowers on the other side. I think with a bit more attention to the service, the feel can be elevated complementing the decor and ambience.

Yelp
Service, ambiance, food is great! Would definitely come back. Right amount spice for all the foods and very friendly service. Very accommodating as well.

Yelp
for a place that opened recently, the interior could be nicer. the chairs are mismatched and some look quite old. the sauce trays are messy, something that could be easily fixed. i wish the tea was loose leaf instead of one tea bag. the food quality varies. the mapo tofu was entirely flavorless. the chili oil pork dumplings were delicious and juicy. the goldfish dumpling was good, but nothing special. the black bean noodles (zhajiang mian) was decent; the noodles were a little overcooked, but the sauce is flavorful. the thai iced tea with the bear is nice, but they should add less ice so the tea bear can actually melt into the drink. i get that it's to keep the bear afloat, but i was looking forward to having it balance out the sweet cream on top. the salt and pepper squid was a good appetizer. the service is alright. they came by once.

Yelp
Stopped by one night to check out this 'new' dumpling spot, food was alright until the soup dumplings arrived. Staff was friendly and nice but service was slow and careless. Tables and chairs are not kept clean enough in between. Sat on two dirty tables, table stayed dirty the whole meal even when it was already mentioned. The crab xlb had none to minimal crab flavor. The dumpling's skin is too thick and the meat's quality overall was not fresh with an off-putting taste. The hot and sour soup dumpling was good, great flavor and consistency. The dried-fried beans had great flavor but the quality of the beans were old, grainy & tough. Scallion pancake and the fried buns were decent.

Yelp
I came around 6pm on a Wednesday and the restaurant surprised me with its captivating artwork around the restaurant. The team worked quickly and swiftly and was communicative with customers. The portion of the service I was disappointed with was the food. The dumplings didn't have much flavor and the spicy dumplings were simply the normal dumplings with chili oil. Underwhelming taste, small portions, but great vibez

Yelp
A decent choice with good food, but nothing special to me. Maybe that's my fault for going to a place called Dumpling King and not getting dumplings but a lot of the dishes tasted like things I could either get somewhere else, or get a better version of somewhere else. My favourite was the cumin lamb, which is a dish I always enjoy. But I found it had too little lamb and was a little too salty. The garlic noodles had great texture, but was too light on the garlic. The taro puffs were unfortunately, just bland. With that said, the service was fantastic and the restaurant was clean. But in a city filled with countless Dumpling X restaurants, this starts to blend into the crowd for me.
google avatar

Brian W.

Yelp
Solid place for xiao long bao (soup dumplings) and some excellent chicken wings. Service was very good, ambiance is very casual but nice enough, rest of the food was good (my shu, beef and broccoli, calamari, green beans, two kinds of noodles, two kinds of steamed dessert buns, I forget what else we ordered, but it was a lot) but didn't stand out enough to stick in my mind - which isn't a slight, it's more that competition here is intense. 3.5 stars but not convinced to round up.

Yelp
You HAVE to try this place! Stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for Chinese food. Turns out, they had just opened that week. We ordered the sweet and sour pork, salt and pepper fish, and chicken fried rice. Everything was tasty. We saw other tables ordering buns and dumplings, which looked soooo good. If I lived in the neighborhood, I would be a regular. Restaurant itself is clean and vibrant. Service is very quick. The chili oil on the table has a good amount of spice. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Quality/Quantity - Another great discovery! My guest over ordered as usual, lol. We got the following: T1. Juicy Pan Fried Kurobuta Pork Baos - Good, but we have had better. Bread to meat ratio was slightly off for me, too much bread. Fresh, hot off the pan with the usual warning that it is piping hot inside and has soup inside. Decent size. 06. Four Dumpling Special - "Regular" dim sum. But got a chance to see and try one of each. My least favorite, not bad, just that the other 3 dishes were better. P1. ZhaJiang Mian - The waiter gave instructions to mix before eating. And a warning that this was spicy. I felt a medium spice level, perfect for us, and it was overall very good. My second favorite of the meal. L11. Chicken Chow Fun - Generous and a good size tender chicken breast. This was the hit of the meal! Decent portions, but we are light eaters and we over ordered. It is rare that a standard dish like this can impress me, congrats! Overall the food (and service) was 5 stars. I believe the dumplings are usually made fresh at location; see pictures of the windowed station. No one was doing it today. The first 3 items above are their best sellers. Atmosphere - Small local business. New, clean, and so relaxing with the projector waterfall; see video. Also check out the two new bathrooms. Open 7 days a week from 11am to 9pm or 11pm. Metered street parking - Free residential parking if you are willing to walk. Today my guest has limited walking ability, so metered parking it was. Service - Very patient with us as we were first time customers. So I had a few questions, best sellers and why...? They also got us everything we needed. Price - $64 + tip, reasonably priced. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since March of 2025. We will be regular customers.

Yelp
Dumplings for everyone. They have lunch specials too, but we liked their Dumplings and potstickers and every dish we had was good. We liked the garlic green beans. They weren't very greasy and the beans were fresh. The crunchy potstickers were a hit. My friends were confused about the lemon iced tea bear. I kept pushing the ice under so the bear would melt. I think it's a marketing thing for kids and girls. Hot and sour soup was meh. We wouldn't get this again. Also the noodles were spicy for the noodle soup and the pork inside was fatty, so we would skip this too. Stick with the dumplings and you'll do fine. Everything was hot and fresh and the staff seemed friendly. You can watch them making the Dumplings from scratch at the back.
google avatar

Tim P.

Yelp
Great variety of soup dumplings. Solid dim sum with Korean flair. Order from menu or QR code. Very trippy digital art one wall. Service could have been more attentive. Had to ask for soy sauce, missing tea cup etc -- but they just opened this location would certainly go again!
google avatar

Anny L.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this new spot and decided to give it a try and I'm glad we did! The interior is newly renovated and has a friendly vibe. We were seated right away and ordered the soup dumplings, zhajiang mian, and string beans. Everything was pretty good but the zhajiang mian was definitely the highlight! The noodles were perfectly chewy and full of flavor! Would definitely come back to try other dishes!
google avatar

Tasha H.

Yelp
Elevated Chinese dumpling spot - heads up the steamed dumplings are Cantonese dimsum style with rice based wrappers, not wheat based. Salt and pepper tofu - surprise hit. Might be the best I've ever had. So crispy on the outside and soft and silky inside, good garlic flavor too. Dumplings - was surprised by the rice paper skin, but all tasty and beautiful Veggie buns - the buns were almost a little too soft, but appreciated the fragrant wrappers. Would skip these next time.
google avatar

Sam L.

Yelp
There are a lot of dumpling spots in SF, this one is solid and we definitely had less of a wait than we would have going to some of the other ones on a Friday night! Appreciate the laminated menus that can be reused for ordering, and service was friendly. As highlights - we really enjoyed the scallion noodles and I thought the cucumber salad had a pretty big portion and was tasty. I also like that the menu has dishes other than dumplings - we also got the szechuan fried chicken and that was a hit.
google avatar

Yelp
New place couple months old now. Open late some nights! Needed to drown our sorrows over the Warriors loss needed a place that stays open past 9pm and here we are! Staff is friendly and welcoming. Had a craving for Tomato Beef Chow Mein and this place came through! Good serving of pan fried noodles (Hong Kong Style). Sauce was flavorful with sweetness. Lots of the veggies and beef. We also got salt and pepper fish filets and taro curry puff. Fish had light batter not oily and loved all the fixins they were tossed with. The puff were like the "woo tao" you get for dim sum but had curry inside mixed with chicken peas and carrots. I would like more curry flavor. Just saying not a negative as it did have curry flavor. This place did not disappoint and we didn't even get any dumplings. I'll be back for sure!

Yelp
Came here for a late lunch at 2 pm on a weekday with my brother and his wife who were visiting from overseas and learned that the previous owner who had this restaurant under another name had to sell and hence the name change. Johnson was our server who happened to be one of the sons of the owner greeted us and we ordered 3 dishes which were very good. No changes were made in the dining area as the previous owners had it for a short time. Restroom was very clean and well stocked. Dining room ambience was the same as my previous visit and price point for 3 items, with tea and soda cane to $60 with a 20% tip. Highly recommend as a lunch or dinner spot in a casual setting.
google avatar

Kimberly S.

Yelp
Came here for dinner and tried the Shanghai soup dumplings and mapo tofu. The dumplings were tasty but a bit sticky (they broke apart easily), and didn't come with any of the standard vinegar dipping sauce. The mapo tofu was flavorful with a nice numbing spice; definitely get rice on the side. Service was fast and friendly. Overall a good spot

Yelp
Delicious. You will want to plan on looking for street parking if you don't live there, but should be able to find some within a few minutes. The setting is nothing special but you should be going there for the food. Service is fine, and what you would expect for an authentic dim sum restaurant. They have a fairly good selection to choose from and the prices are very reasonable. We ended up ordering Shanghai soup dumplings (Q1; delicious, very hot), BBQ pork bao (R1; delicious), egg custard bao (R6; delicious), sesame balls (T4; so good), kurobuta pork bao (T1; delicious with textural delight), and chili oil wontons (S1; so good). Definitely check this place out; worth the trip.

Yelp
This new family owned Chinese and dim sum spot in the Richmond District did not disappoint! I came with a party of six, which meant we got to try a variety of dishes family style and everything was delicious with a lot of WOK HEI (that signature smoky, charred aroma and flavor you want in authentic Cantonese stir-fried dishes) My favorites were: - Bear iced lemon tea - SO CUTE!! - Crab roe soup dumplings - juicy and packed with flavor - Shanghainese noodles - thick and bouncy - Dried chicken wings - standout. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside!! - Walnut shrimp - lightly battered and flavorful - Egg Custard Bao - soft and fluffy, creamy custard (can't get over these cute!) The menu is extensive, the ambience welcoming and clean, and service was quick. We left so full and can't wait to be back for more.

Yelp
Lightning fast takeout, that's always piping hot. What could be better?? We always appreciate the timely service and wide variety on the menu.

Chibi Saboteur ..

Yelp
The the waiter brought us hot tea & water. We were happy with the service from the waiters. Ice Bear Thai ice tea: cute & not too sweet, well balance. Sesame chicken: the best I had. Orange chicken: it was alright. Chicken chow mein: good flavor didn't feel greasy. Pork buns: sweet glaze on top of the bun, with perfect amount of feelig inside. I need more! Pork bao was good too. If I had to choose one I will go with the Pork buns. Chicken bao: I am glad it wasn't gamey and sometimes it could taste like chicken soup, which it didn't, would order again. Taro bao: it's good like a mochi texture. Egg custard bao: delicious it reminded me of a bread I used to eat when I was a child. The custer inside its perfect. Sesame swirl bao: it tasted like peanut butter to me. They gave us sesame balls on the house. Thank you!

Yelp
Very fresh, tasty food packed with flavor. The staff is incredibly kind and accommodating. One of my favorite restaurants in the Inner Richmond!

Yelp
Egg custard and red bean bao are amazing. As my kids would say, they are gas. Or fire. Or eating. Or bomb.

Yelp
Dumpling king is amazing! Quality and portions are great. Service was also super quick, will be back!

Yelp
Amazing assortment of dumplings, nice restaurant with great customer service. Dumplings are served HOT and other noodle plates here are awesome. I've had a number of dishes on the menu and they've all been extremely flavorful. Enjoy.

Yelp
Came here with my girl friend for dinner and had an amazing experience. Emily and Johnson were very welcoming and helpful on providing yummy recs! The food was delicious and the service was top tier. Loved the cute little bear toppers on the drinks -- such a fun touch!

Yelp
Dumplings are made fresh everyday from scratch. Emily was very hospitable and had great recommendations

Yelp
This place is sooo good! I will definitely be coming back. I loved the veggie soup dumplings I ordered. The people who work there are very sweet and the ambiance is lovely as well.

Yelp
So many dumpling spots in San Francisco and so many with similar names. Dumpling King seems to be the latest. We had three adults and two kids and they were very accommodating. The menu is quite extensive. If you are looking for options beyond just dumplings, then that is a reason to come here. One menu was all dumplings and bao and a few noodle dishes (think what you will find at many of the other dumpling restaurants) and the other had more traditional Chinese restaurant options- an extensive selection of vegetables, noodles, chicken, lamb, beef, and more. The food was alright. I've had better versions of most of what we ordered that I enjoyed more elsewhere. That being said, i think they do a few things well that could be reasons to come here. One, the presentation of each dish was really nice. The soup dumplings were each served on individual spoons, the bao had cute designs, etc. They brought out tea and water right away without us asking and the tea kettle was so cute too! Service was pretty good although it did get a little less so as they got busier. One of the dishes we ordered (cumin lamb) didn't come out and we basically were finished with our meal so we asked them to just remove it from the order which they did without any push back. I'm pretty sure they forgot about it but I appreciated that they didn't try to protest when we told them to not make it. The other reason to come here is definitely the variety. Maybe this affects the food a bit since everything was just okay and maybe focusing on fewer dishes would lead to better results. But there is definitely something for everyone including a lot of vegetarian options. What we got: - Shanghai (pork) soup dumplings: these were alright. Not my favorite but solid and I appreciated the ginger being on the side since I'm not a fan of it. The pork flavor in the broth was full of depth, more so than most soup dumplings I've had - Vegetable soup dumplings: We hadn't really seen these on the menu elsewhere so it was cool they had them and they had a few types of veggies inside. I didn't try these but heard they were really good. If you're vegetarian, these might be a reason to come here - Vegetable chow mein: This could have been a bit more flavorful but if you add the condiments they have on the table (black vinegar, chilli, soy sauce), it helped. This was a huge portion too. I wouldn't order this again given the number of other interesting options - Garlic chinese broccoli: they have an impressive number of veggie dishes and we liked this. A big portion as well. It was pretty one note with the garlic and not much else so if you want something more varied, one of the other vegetable dishes might be better. Next time I would probably get either the eggplant or the green beans instead - Four sweet bao combo: these are decorated as animals (cute!) and you get 1 red bean, 1 egg (not the molten kind), 1 black sesame, 1 taro. These were nice to share but definitely not a must order. I think the egg and taro were the best of the four I feel like I would want to try more of the menu to get a better opinion of the place. The food from my visit was somewhere between 3 and 4 stars but the experience was generally nice so I rounded up.
google avatar

Patty O.

Yelp
Got the zha jiang and scallion oil noodles to go. The noodles were tasty even the next day. I would totally get the zha jiang noodles again , hefty portion, had a nice kick. The scallion oil noodles were tasty too but it didn't come with any protein. Would definitely want to try the other dishes like the chili oil wontons

Yelp
food here is amazing not salty like other chinese restaurants. this has perfect taste. and the xiao long bao, omg I love it. better than the other restaurant for sure! will definitely comeback to this place when in the city. service is great and fast as well.

Trevor F.

Yelp
My friends and I went to Dumpling King on and it did not disappoint! The soup dumplings are some of the best in SF--perfectly juicy with delicate wrappers. Definitely. Will eat these again. And we shared the zhajiang noodles, they were super tender with just the right amount of flavor and spice. The staff was warm and attentive, Emily our server was really amazing and made some good recs to us. We will definitely be back! The place is super cute but make sure to dress a little warmer. Everywhere in the city is a little chilly on this street.
google avatar

Lena N.

Yelp
Overall, the food was of good quality and tasty. The ambiance and decor was nice and cute. I liked the XLB dumplings the most and looking forward to coming back to try more dishes. Things for improvement; the tea kettle was small and with 5 people we had to flag them down to refill it 4 times. For one of the waitstaff could use a course on hospitality. A little less bluntness and more friendliness would have made the experience even better. But, we would still come back and recommend you to try the dumplings.

Yelp
Food is amazing! All the dishes are good. This restaurant just opened last month. A friend drive all the way from Elk Grove to try it and I tag along. Everything we ordered today was super good. Will definitely come back.

Yelp
Ice tea was rich in flavor.... Shanghai dumplings was yummy.... Ja Jian mien was tasty.... Chives and pork dumplings and the sesame mala beef buns are so so.... Overall it's not bad... service was great... atmosphere is cool....

Yelp
Great variety of food! Everything was delicious from Dim Sum to regular dishes ! Have been there 4 times ! Friendly and accommodating . Not rushed . Plan on returning more often !

Yelp
I've been eating chinese food my whole life and this place is top tier. I came here on their grand opening then brought my friends to eat there again. My favorites are the har gow, siu mai, soup dumplings, and handpulled noodles. Service is great. They also have beer on tap

Patti Y.

Yelp
Food was excellent; we had a mix of dim sum, singapore-style noodles, and garlic string bean. Everything was fresh and really tasty! The staff was friendly, helpful in selecting items, and very attentive. The restaurant is welcoming; you can view the kitchen staff making the dim sum behind a glassed enclosure. We'll be back!

Brian J.

Yelp
Ordered salt and pepper fried squid, 1 leafy stir fried veggies, 2 dim sum, 1 Szechuan shredded pork and a lamb dish. All were good, but the shredded pork had too much oil and was bit salty for our taste. Both of the dim sum were fresh and had abundant amount of flavor.

Yehong X.

Yelp
Very tasty steam buns and very reasonable price. Services is good and friendly. Dining set has high quality and interesting design.

Dj M.

Yelp
What a gem! Rolled in there after a Golden Gate Park hike. He shares BBQ buns, several different dumplings and a crispy curry treat that were all amazing. Also tried the chicken lettuce wraps. Everything was just perfect. Go check this place out!

Yelp
A new favorite on Clement! We ordered two of my go-to dishes, Peking pork chops and flaming chili oil fish and loved them both. Service was 10/10 and the atmosphere was modern and comforting. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Lots of options on Clement but newcomer Dumpling King is a cut above. Comfortable decor, very nice bronze dinnerware, friendly and helpful service and great food. Pork/shrimp and Shanghai dumpling were our favorite. Chicken/corn a little bland. Looking forward to going back and trying the "Kitchen" menu.

Yelp
Love the soup and everything else is good as well. Their soup dumplings are amazin. Also the food depending on what you order can be very cute as well. ( Their egg custard buns have a panda face on it)
