London Restaurants’ Best Bread Recipes for Coronavirus Stay at Home | Eater London

"A recipe for flaky, layered bings (scallion pancakes) that uses a simple flour-and-boiled-water dough rested for two hours, portioned (about 100 g each), brushed with melted butter and finely chopped spring onion, then rolled, coiled and chilled before the final roll-out. The pancakes are shallow-fried in a fair amount of oil (ideally in a cast-iron pan) at around 170°C to achieve a crisp, flaky exterior; cook roughly three minutes per side until the edge cracks under pressure. The method prioritizes technique (rolling, coiling and chilling) to build layers and recommends draining excess oil before serving." - Adam Coghlan

This is my new go to for comfort food! Honestly, I think some of the reviews are a little rough. I had a good first impression of this place! I came in when it wasn’t too busy but still people dinning in. Was seated quickly and was served water immediately. The servers were super sweet and kind. I asked one of them their favorite dish and decided to order that as well as two other things and a drink. I ordered a lot for just myself but this is a place where you come with family and friends to SHARE food. Please don’t come here expecting all these big portions for one person, the dishes are made to share with others and portioned correctly. My food came out in less than 10 mins after ordering. The servers came once in a while to check on me which was perfect. This isnt LA (clearly since it’s in Moorpark) but a good alternative if you want something similar to places in LA but can’t make the drive down. The food…i loved. The Spicy shrimp and pork wontons with udon noodles were to die for, mix before you eat for sure. It was sweet and spicy. The soup dumplings were comforting as well. The Jumbo Shrimp and Pork Shumai was recommended by the server and it was so so good and filling. Pair with chili oil…chefs kiss. Please be sure you try the sauce that goes with the soup dumplings, it compliments it very well. The Brown sugar milk tea was also a pleasant drink, the server asked how sweet i wanted it which was really nice. One of the reviews says some of them don’t speak English like that’s an issue?! Wasn’t for me…we understood eachother just fine. I can see how this place gets super busy and why people enjoy it so much, but I recommend you give it a try with friends and/or family! You can see the wonderful cooks as well making everything. So authentic, i loved.

Our family of three has been eating here once a week (if not twice!) since they opened. The staff are incredibly welcoming and always attentive. We usually order the same things: Beef Stir Fried Udon, Soup Dumplings, Steamed Jumbo Shrimp, and Pork Chop Fried Rice. Sometimes, we will order one extra thing from the menu so we can try something new. This last time we tried the Black Golden Egg Custard Buns. The custard was warm and sweet, while the outer bun was soft and so enjoyable. I'm excited to add it to our "usual" order. Let's keep this amazing business in Moorpark!

We tried to go here on Wednesday 10/1 but the line was out the door. We decided to try it for lunch on 10/02 and it was busy but a short wait. The staff was extremely busy and you could see they were trying hard to make sure everyone was taken care of. We had the BBQ pork bun which was really good, soup dumplings were great and the chicken udon which was good too. We tried the taro dessert balls and they were yummy but we really wanted the sesame ones but they were out. Next time! We will definitely back and hopefully they’ll have things more in order so their staff isn’t jogging around. I felt bad for them but they took good care of us.

Friendly staff. We loved the Shanghai noodles, soup dumplings, and fried wontons. I look forward to trying more of the steamed and spicy options next time and udon too. The brown sugar milk tea boba was very yummy. Our waters were always full as we're our bellies by the time we left.

The Jumbo Shrimp & Pork Shumai Dim Sum was fabulous! And my husband says that he would come back for just their house Specialty rice because it was so good. He also loved the pork dumplings. Excellent service. If you had a poor experience when they first opened, give them a second chance.

Went with my family a party of 5 and everyone received their orders before me, kept trying to get the attention of a server as everyone was finishing their meals at the table while I hadn’t even been brought my starter let alone my entree, finally I went up to the front to ask if I could get the check aswell as my meal to go as my family had already finished eating. They apparently forgot to put my order in and made us pay for it to go and wait an extra half hour for it to be made. The food is great but they barely speak English and attention to details are not their strong suit.

We finally tried the new dumpling restaurant that just opened up in the valley and wow… they absolutely killed it. The inside is so modern and beautiful — you can tell they put a lot of work into the remodel because everything feels clean, updated, and super welcoming. You can even see the ladies in the back working on the homemade dumplings, which I loved — it makes everything feel so fresh and authentic. The service was amazing, too. We got all of our food so fast, which honestly impressed me even more since they’re brand new. Everyone was friendly and everything came out fresh and hot. Now the food… SO GOOD. We started with the pork and shrimp wonton udon soup and the broth was so clean and flavorful, with bok choy and perfectly cooked wontons. Then we got the chicken xiao long bao — homemade and full of the most delicious soup inside each dumpling. So flavorful! The pan-fried pork dumplings were another favorite. Slightly crispy on the outside, juicy inside — perfect. The bok choy with the black vinegar sauce was also super tasty, and the pork BBQ buns were exactly what we needed — that sweet and savory combo, stuffed with so much pork. And yes, it is a bit on the pricier side, but honestly it’s worth it — especially since everything is homemade and there aren’t many dumpling spots in the valley to begin with. The quality definitely matches the price. Overall, everything we ordered was amazing and the quality really stood out. I’m so happy we finally have a dumpling place in the valley that reminds me of the SGV spots. And now we don’t have to drive over an hour just to get good dumplings. This is officially our new go-to place! So happy they opened here.

This place was not good. If you want good dumplings, you need to to make the drive into LA. - period. I was excited to hear about a dumpling place in Moorpark but didn’t live up to the hype. Nothing had flavor and don’t get me stated on the flavored noodles. Spaghetti with a little of chili oil. Trust me, this place will be gone within the year.
