Everything was so tasty! All of it came out steaming hot. Service was quick but not rushed. Definitely recommend the crispy pork and scallion thumb bum (only available for dine in). Will definitely come back!

Google
I enjoy the food there with flavorful fresh dumplings. The portions are a good amount for each dish and the price. It was crowded when we came. Small atmosphere family style restaurant. Good for a group of 4 or less persons when dining in.

A group of us went here for lunch. We ordered dishes to share: dumplings, green beans, chicken chow mein, and eggplant with minced pork and dry noodles. The eggplant dish was surprisingly good since a few of us don’t like eggplant. The chow mein and green beans were good too. The dumplings were okay, nothing spectacular. We’ll come back to try their other dishes.

Nobu, that's me

This is really a great authentic dumpling house. The flavors are awesome. Everything is handmade here. Nothing frozen. I had a lovely experience and will return. June 4 2025- update - still awesome dumplings!!!

Google
Dumpling World is truly a gem in Sugar Land, TX. Came here go try their soup dumplings and they definitely did not disappoint. We had to come here twice in a row because I could not stop thinking about them. We tried their soup dumplings, steamed dumplings, pan fried dumplings, and spicy and sour dumplings. The dumplings were all cooked to perfection and well seasoned. I would recommend the pork soup dumplings, the red bean sesame balls, and the sautéed shredded pork in sweet bean sauce. All employees were friendly and attentive to their guests. We went here on a weekend and all their tables were usually filled in the restaurant during lunch and dinner so I would head here early. The employees try to seat you as fast as possible, however. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re in the Sugar Land area.

Google
Nice little dumpling shop in Sugar Land! The soup dumplings had a good amount of soup and didn't tear like some restaurants. The pan fried dumplings had a nice crisp and chewy texture. The hot and sour dumplings could have been a little more sour for me and my wife, but adding some vinegar was enough for us!

Google
I love Dumpling World. The soup dumplings are like a warm hug! The eggplant and noodles and the egg and 🍅 noodles are comfort food as well. Good bok choy pot stickers!

Google
This is one of the place that you're able to get close to authentic dumpling and noodles in the Houston area. Their meat inside of the dumpling are a typical dumpling and noodle restaurant but their stuffing is a little bit on the dry side and not enough soup compare to other. My favorite is their curry dumpling.

Yelp
One of our favorite spots for great soup dumplings on a cold day. Came right before week day rush hour around noon. We got sat immediately, but shortly afterwards there was a long line of people waiting at the door. Smaller restaurant so not good for large parties. But they do take out orders as well. Simple inner decor but efficient. The water pitcher is delivered to the table and has sliced lemons inside which is a great touch. We got 4 dishes that we have tried before and knew we liked. Pork xao long bao 4.5/5 the soup inside could be a bit hotter in temperature. And the soup ladles could be a little bigger to slurp the soup but the flavor and size were great. Pork and scallion dumpling in spicy sour sauce 5/5 amazing flavor with the right amount of spice. The sauce would go great over a bed of rice. The dumplings are a great size. Stir fried string green beans with minced pork 4.5/5 scant amount of minced pork compared to the same dish at other restaurants. Not too heavy on the garlic and no ginger. But plenty of green beans and tastes great. Szechuan tan tan noodles 5/5 so much noodles! We have before and after mixing pictures. Appropriate amount of sauce for thorough mixing and bold peanut flavor. We love coming here for lunch and will certainly be back to try other dishes!!

Yelp
Love every bit of the food they have to offer. Make sure when you come here you are hungry. The service is top notch. They are really friendly and will explain everything to you. Place is very clean and just the smell of the food throughout the place is great.

Millette T.

Yelp
Jack and the Beanstalk... why are the green beans SO GOOD here?! SO GOOD. I started with a dumpling soup. Good! My friend had chow mein. Memorably good; I became a regular for it. Then a stranger there sent me a sample of her green beans. What magic or sorcery is this?! Every bite. How can green beans be this good? So, now I'm a regular of that dish. Bring your own water. The water is noticeably not so good.

Yelp
This place is really good! The food was very tasty and the service was fast. There is plenty of parking as it is part of a retail center so you should not have a problem finding parking. We ordered some Bok Choy, steam pork buns (these are really big), pot stickers and dumplings. Everything we ordered had shrimp and pork and it was all really delicious and affordable. Very good comfort food if you like dumplings. Please give them a try and remember to write your review to support this small business. I will for sure be getting this again and they offer take out as well!!

Yelp
I was very surprised how delicious this small hole in the wall restaurant was! Green beans and stir fried cabbage were SOOOOO tasty. Soup dumpling and crispy bottom buns were good but lack some flavor. We also got the eggplant minced pork noodle- good but wish they would give more sauce/gravy. Overall I would return again. Service was fast as well.

Suelynn N.

Yelp
We took my in laws here for their first time, our second time. The food was great and it looked like they added some more dishes. The passion fruit cucumbers were super interesting and delish. We ordered the green beans and small pan fried dumplings twice. We were seated very quickly and our waiter was nice. It was a full house and there was only two wait staff so they were quite busy. Second order of dumplings/green beans took a bit but that was when the restaurant started having a line outside. The place was clean but would have liked more napkins. Parking was free and our front

Gabrielle S.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised by this place. Good food. No frills. Friendly ppl. Dumplings are yummy and beef noodle soup was pretty solid. Sesame noodles were good but wouldn't reorder. Same with the shrimp pork chive spicy sour dumplings. The soup it came wasn't spicy and didn't add much flavor. Want to try the beef and onion dumplings next time. Honestly can't go wrong with some noodles and dumplings on a cool, rainy day. We will be back.

Yelp
Very busy place especially at lunch! Tons of parking in the area though. Every single thing we got was delicious!! I personally got the Pan Fried Pork and Scallion Thumb Buns and the Pork & Scallion Spicy and Sour Dumplings. The spicy and sour dumplings were the best thing I had and it was a great portion!! The dumpling skins were a perfect texture and the broth complimented the meat so well (not very spicy but you can add spice at your table). The thumb buns were also super good but the bottom was a bit hard and I had a hard time eating them. The rest of my table got the Vegan Spicy Tofu Potstickers, Pork and Scallion Steamed Dumplings, and the Sautéed Bok Choy with Garlic. I only tried the Bok choy of that and it was great. We were all super full and happy with our meal. I saw a lot of complaints in their reviews saying that a tip was added without their knowledge. To clear it up, they show you the tip options and let you select one when you pay. It is set to 18% initially but you can pick another percentage if you want. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because their bathroom had a roach in it. Kitchen and bathroom cleanliness is extremely important to me (although I know it's a common issue at restaurants).

Yelp
I am in search for the best beef noodle in the houston area. Wanted to give this place a try based on the good reviews. Dumpling World is located in the same plaza as sharetea and has plenty of parking. Came around noon on a Thursday and was seated right away and was given a pitcher of water with lemon for the table. My friend and I ordered the pork xao long bao, braised beef noodle soup, and Eggplant & Minced Pork Noodle (Dry). Pork XL bao - came out in a bamboo steamer. Wasn't provided ginger slices like how most places do. The skin was thick but the XLB contained a decent amount of soup. Braised beef noodle soup - the soup is very light. Beef wasn't as tender as other places but they gave a lot of chunks of meat. Nothing special. Eggplant & Minced Pork Noodle (Dry) - my friend and I's favorite dish out of everything we ordered! Was abt to order 2 bowls of beef noodle soups but our waiter suggested we get one bowl of beef noodle and one bowl of eggplant & minced pork noodle. The flavors were nice and the noodles were perfect. I highly suggest asking your waiter for recommendations!

Darian C.

Yelp
I especially liked the xiao long bao they were easy to pick up and didn't break. I also really like the sesame noodles. I thought they had a nice texture and taste. We ordered the shrimp fried rice, wood ear, green beans and vegetarian dumplings as well. I didn't enjoy the fried rice as much but everything else was good. We went on a tuesday around 1 for lunch so I didn't expect it to be as popular as it was, but the service was fast and we were able to be seated immediately.

Yelp
Rating: 3.5/5 stars Pros: + Large parking lot + Quick service + Near other businesses (like Day 6 Coffee Co. and Share Tea) + People eat quickly so the tables clear up for incoming customers. + A little bit of everything on the menu so lots of delicious options to choose from + Family-friendly Cons: - Small restaurant / Not a lot of seating options / Not good for large crowds (party size greater than 6) - Cramped waiting area space... It felt like I was on a zoo display for the diners lol because once we walked in, we were stared at by the door... since there wasn't any tables available. Then again, we came around prime time at 12:20ish pm on Saturday so that was expected. Now, the food review: This place isn't Din Tai Fung (which is my standard for Xiao Long Baos)... Since Houston doesn't have a Din Tai Fung location, I'm always on the hunt for XLBs! 5.5/10 Braised Pork Steam Dumplings: I noted that I'm not going to order this next time, because the 4 buns were incredibly filling alone! Best eaten while hot though! Lots of breading compared to the actual meat content inside.... which was a letdown for me. 6/10 Pork Xiao Long Bao: Very soupy and delicious. 7/10 Pork and Mushroom Xiao Long Bao: Also soupy and delicious. More filling than the Pork XLB. 7/10 Peach Tea: I had this drink and it wasn't up to par with the Mango Tea (personally I'm a mango gal but I wanted to try something different). Still refreshing and light as all peachy drinks are. 9/10 Shrimp and Wonton Soup (not spicy): Out of all the dishes ordered, this dish was love at first sip/bite. The shrimp was cooked to crunchy perfection in the salty, warm broth. The green onions were a tasty touch to the dish! I'll probably order this again! Not too filling so a great appetizer to wet your palette! 10/10 Mango Tea: My boyfriend ordered this and I took 3 long sips because it was incredibly refreshing and mouthwatering!! Highly recommend this drink! Probably ask for light ice though because the drink had large ice cubes in it. Overall, I will definitely return with a hungry stomach!

Yelp
Freaking love. Dude, this place has got the stuff. Soup wontons slapped, and everyone else was super satisfied with their order. One of my friends even said this beats every dumpling he had in New York. Great spot in Sugar Land that the local folk like! Wonton soup was amazing 8/10. Soup dumplings were great, 7.5/10. Wood ear mushroom salad lacks flavor in general, not just at this restaurant, and I'm not certain it was fresh -- 2/10. Crab wontons were average -- 4/10.

Yelp
I was making my trip around the city and was interested in one thing: Xiao long bao (soup dumplings) and beef brisket noodles. I felt a bit adventurous and strayed away from my usual stops in Chinatown Bellaire and went further out to a place I have heard receiving good reviews, Dumpling World. I actually came in a very interesting time at the lunch rush on a Sunday and they were busy. I had to place my name on the waitlist. After some time, I managed to dine in but due to not many seating, I had an opportunity to eat with a complete stranger sharing a booth. Both of us were dining in solo and I did not mind. I decided to go with three items on the menu: pork Xiao Long Bao, beef brisket noodles and pan fried pork soup buns. Very delicious and the ratio for the filing and broth was spot on for the Xiao Long Bao. The beef brisket noodles were great as well. The noodles have that nice chewy texture, I think they call that "QQ". But a big surprise was the pan fried pork soup buns. It is a great medium for the consistency of a pan fried bao with the inner flavors of a soup dumpling. It became a favorite for me. Overall I enjoyed my visit. Despite the busy time I happened to stop in, it was a solid choice. The staff are great and they take great care in what is made. I did want to make a quick recognition to my meal mate for the time, Elias. We discussed lots of topics and I didn't want to make it awkward and just eat without saying a word. Dumpling world is a good pick if you are in Sugar Land. They are a smaller restaurant but the food it worthwhile. I hope to come back in the future for a much better time to dine.

Yelp
If you're in Sugar Land and craving for some Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings), this is the place! It's located at the Highland Square Shopping Center with plenty of parking spaces. It's a small place with a friendly staff and a clean, simple dining area. Nothing fancy. It's relevantly a newer restaurant with a feel that it's been around since the 90s or something, yet clean. Sesame sauce noodle, dry is delicious and refreshing. Not overall powered with sauce but those with a peanut allergy, stay clear of this dish. Pan-fried thumb bun with pork and scallion is soft yet crispy on the bottom. Surprisingly not overly oily either, considering it has to be fried at the end to get the crisp on the bottom. Shrimp and pork xiao long bao is the best, in my opinion, in the Houston-metro area. I haven't taste any that can satisify my xiao long bao cravings besides here. They're decent size with good amount of soup inside and the ground pork/shrimp taste good. Plus, it's made fresh on the daily. The only thing is, they don't serve it with a small dish of ginger for your typical xiao long bao dipping of soy sauce/vinager/ginger. I could have asked but I forget everytime and too hungry to wait for thinly sliced ginger.

Anthony C.

Yelp
Good sized soup dumplings bursting with flavor. The steamed beef dumplings were also hot and fresh w/ good quality beef but were rather bland. The garlic green beans were a great portion size and also hit the spot to complement the dumplings. All in all, good mom and pop spot outside of Bellaire Chinatown with top notch soup dumplings.

Joyti K.

Yelp
What a great find! It's a small little restaurant in a strip joint. Nothing fancy but clean Everything we ordered was delicious, so flavorful starting off with the soup dumplings, which were delicious. The mixed fried rice was so tasty. We realized enjoyed the eggplant, and pork noodles - The service was excellent.

Yelp
We wanted to like this place, but the experience was so bad that we left feeling it had ruined our lunch date on New Year's Eve day! The restaurant is tiny and yet, when we came in, no one came to greet us. Granted that it was lunch hour and crowded, but again, it is such a tiny restaurant with multiple people working. So, we grabbed a table nearby. My husband ordered the Braised Beef Noodle Soup and I said I would like to have the same. A long time after, the server came out with just 1 noodle soup to share. When we told her of the misunderstanding, she didn't even apologize. Luckily, we also ordered the Xiao Long Bao so I ate that. I was still waiting on my noodle soup, but it never came out. We saw a few tables waiting on their food too. We had to cancel the order and left without tipping. By the way, I did taste my husband's soup and it was bland. The Xiao Long Bao was good, but I wouldn't come back for it.

Charlene H.

Yelp
The location is a small restaurant in the Half Price Books shopping plaza off Hwy 6. The restaurant looks clean and orderly from first look. There were two other customers who finished up and left once we arrived. Then we were the only customers in the restaurant for a bit, eventually 3 more tables were filled. We came at 5pm Saturday on Mother's Day weekend. I'm thinking most mothers probably wanted a fancier restaurant tonight. We had reservations elsewhere but I asked if we could go here instead. I've been looking forward to trying these dumplings since February. They did not disappoint. They had a New Items board posted. I was excited to see Chicken Soup Dumplings listed and I mentioned that to my husband. A server quickly told us they weren't available. That was disappointing but at least I didn't decide on them and have to revisit the menu if I didn't know until my order was placed. Updating that board would be smart. We ordered 4 things: pork & shrimp soup dumplings, pork thumb buns, braised beef noodle soup and chicken chow mein. Our ranking in order of favorites is best- chicken chow mein & pork thumb buns (will definitely order again). The chow mein was super flavorful...like lick the plate flavorful---I didn't, of course, but if I were at home, who knows. Haha. We didn't get it spicy but next time we will. The thumb buns were full of filling that was a nice texture, just right mild pork flavor and tasty. The pork & shrimp soup dumplings were our third favorite. I tried them due to the hype on TT. They aren't bad but I will try something different next time. Maybe they'll have the chicken ones next time. Our last favorite was the braised beef noodle soup. It was tasty with a milder beef flavor, which I prefer. There were some bigger fat pieces which I don't prefer but the beef was tender. The noodles were good but cut short which I'm not used to. Notice I said first to last favorites. I say that because they were all good. I'm glad I tried each of them as they all have merit. I'd choose the same top 2 favorites and add two different options next time to replace the 3rd & 4th favorites. Visit here if you want friendly people serving you great dumplings.

Jeff F.

Yelp
Fourth time here. I have got the noodles and eggplant every time and tried something new each time. Also tried almost half the menu with friends. Have not had a bad dish yet. The woodear mushroom salad is unique and amazing. Curry chicken and potato dumplings are my new favorite. Clean place and friendly staff.

Karen Z.

Yelp
As per a friend's recommendation, we visited together. I was delighted to see that they had many vegetarian options. I got the tomato and eggs dried noodles, and it was good! It was on the saltier side for me and the minced garlic really packed a big punch. The mushroom and bokchoy potstickers were good as well, except it got too greasy at the end for me, and the flavor was full of chives. I didn't really taste the bokchoy and mushroom. They've got a ton of other stuff on the menu I want to try though, so I'll definitely be back for the vegan tofu dumplings and wood-ear mushroom salad!

Ivan K.

Yelp
This place replaced Singapore Cafe a while back and I've been here 3-4 times. The dumplings and xiao long bao are consistently good; however this last time I went their beef noodle soup was somewhat bland and tasteless, which was disappointing. I was told they had recently changed their recipe and they were looking for feedback on it. I do hope it's better next time as it's one of my go-to dishes. I recall the first couple of times that I had gone last summer they they first opened and the A/C was not working. While they tried to help the situation with fans, it still felt like a broiler inside. Thankfully it was much better this time around. Dumpling World is definitely a good place to go to if you're in the SL area and craving dumplings.

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Delivers 100% of what you'd expect from a mom and pop Asian eatery. We had a late lunch and ordered a few traditional dishes to see if this place was as wonderful as the reviews had promised. It was so tasty, and conveniently located in a strip mall in First Colony. - Beef Noodle Soup - wish it had a "spicy" option but good broth and noodle texture for the win! - Wontons - skin was so thin and delicate, nicely filled and well balanced Bao - pan seared to perfection, light fluffy bao filled with savory and delicious pork Green Beans - always searching for a good vegetable, and these were wok kissed, a bit in the salty side but addicting nonetheless. We took 2 orders of dumplings to go. My Taiwanese parents gave 2 thumbs up to the shrimp and pork dumplings. We will definitely be back next time we're in Sugar Land!

Wen Z.

Yelp
Tiny place but usually packed with lunch crowd. The dumplings soup dumplings and wontons are always so fresh and flavorful! Delicious indeed Don't expect service though lol

Sheryl M.

Yelp
The dumplings were pretty good and filling. I preferred the soup dumplings although I think I would need 2 orders of them for 1 person to be full. The soup inside was really good. The people were nice as well. I would visit at least once - for us it was the perfect place to go after half price books which is a couple doors over.

Zhen L.

Yelp
As the name suggests this place specializes in all kinds of dumplings, but we mainly ordered noodles here and it was great as well! Food: 5/5 we ordered the sesame noodles and braised beef noodles as well as stir fried green beans - everything was delicious and tasted authentic! Food came out fast too despite the restaurant being busy on a weekend Service: 5/5 the place was pretty busy but they noticed us walking in right away and we were seated quickly. They checked on us often and gave us recommendations on what to order. Ambiance: 5/5 very family friendly restaurant, it's a bit on the smaller side so it fills up quickly but it felt like tables were turning over quickly. Give this place a try, we loved it!

Courtney W.

Yelp
Solid spot in sugar land for noodles and dumplings!! The steamed bao filled with meat was really good, the dough was soft and fluffy and filling was so savory and flavorful. The soup dumplings are good too, skin is the right thickness and each dumpling is a good size. The beef noodle soup really surprised me! It's a pretty large serving and the flavor is excellent. Noodles are a nice texture and the beef isn't too tough, the soup is mild and not too salty. One of the better beef noodle soups I've tried in the area and definitely a better value. Will definitely be back!

Eric T.

Yelp
Dumpling World has become my go-to destination for dumplings in Sugar Land. The menu boasts an impressive array of dumpling varieties, each meticulously crafted to deliver a burst of flavors. The dumplings themselves are a delightful with juicy and flavorful fillings. Whether it's the classic pork or the adventurous veggie options, each dumpling showcases the expertise of the kitchen. The one critique I have is the thickness of the soup dumplings is a bit on the thicker end. The staff at Dumpling World provides attentive service, and the cozy ambiance makes it an inviting place to enjoy a dumpling feast. Quick service ensures you don't have to wait long to dive into the deliciousness. While Dumpling World offers a commendable dumpling experience, a four-star rating reflects the belief that there's potential for some additional variety on the menu. Nevertheless, it remains a top pick for dumpling enthusiasts seeking a flavorful and satisfying experience in Sugar Land.

Candy C.

Yelp
Service was quick and efficient. This is a small space so it is all about turnover. We ordered Shrimp and Pork soup dumplings (good flavor and it was soupy... skin was a little on the thicker side) and Braised Beef Noodle Soup on a cold windy day it really hit the spot (rich beef flavor and tender pieces of beef and I enjoy the pickled veg). I placed a togo ordered of Panfried Thumb Bun - Chive, Pork and Shrimp (very tasty) and Pork and Scallion (also good but I prefer the chive). Spicy and Sour Pork and scallion dumplings (liked the soup/sauce and the dumplings were tasty too). Egg and Green Pepper Noodle (this was ok, I was not a fan of the pepper). And a Passion Fruit Tea (refreshing... a little on the sweet side). Overall, I would comeback.

Frances L.

Yelp
I was shopping at Half Price books and needed some lunch. I found Dumpling World in the same plaza and was surprised there was a line going outside the door at 1:30 pm on a Saturday. Luckily, I didn't wait too long. Since I was alone, I ordered the pork Xiao long bao and the shrimp thumb buns. Both were juicy and had good chewiness. The meat didn't feel too fatty or greasy. The Xiao Long Bao has a lot of soup in it. However, definitely skip the taro drink. When I first sipped it, it was actually warm and tasted like flavored water. Prices are a bit higher than Chinatown. Service was good and they were friendlier. I overheard the server saying that they make everything by hand and can fold 1000 dumplings in 3-4 hours. They also have a sign to buy 30 frozen dumplings for $20. I wouldn't bring a group bigger than 4 here as I counted only 9 tables. I would like to try some of their noodles and other dumplings next time, when I have more people with me.

Yelp
Pork xlb (6) $9.95 - surprisingly really good! Big and juicy. The soup inside was hot, flavorful, and noticeably thick. The best I've had tbh. Better than din Tai fung, which I've had in about 3 different cities. Also houston-wise, much better than Mein and Tiger Noodle House. Pork & scallion pan fried thumb bun (10) $9.95- also very good. Crispy on the bottom. Braised beef Noodle soup $13.95- saw a couple of tables with this. Large portion. Plenty of beef, not just all noodles. Tasty broth with pickled greens. The beef had a bit too much fat/tendon for my liking. It wasn't super tender but still good. However may not order this if I come back. Took leftovers home. Eggplant & minced pork Noodle (dry) $10.95 - waiter recommended this. Actually preferred this over the beef Noodle soup. Very tasty. Pork pieces are small though. I took leftovers home and added my own chicken. Plenty of parking. Service was initially slow but didn't have to wait too long for the food. the xlb was the last dish to come out which is understood. The small restaurant was full when we came in around 530pm Saturday. Didn't have to wait too long though. Saw lots of people pickup food to-go. Seems pretty popular for Asian food in sugar land. (We were too lazy to drive to bellaire)

Ashley W.

Yelp
I liked the pork and scallion pot stickers! So crispy on the outside but juicy on the inside. The steam dumplings were very delicious!! So much flavor. I also really liked the steam bao. The pork inside was so flavorful! The outer bun was very soft. Service was quick. The inside was very clean!

Tim C.

Yelp
We shared everything we ordered and loved all of it. The cheese crab puffs were spectacular, crisp exterior and tender plentiful tasty innards, some of the best ever. My wife got a stellar bowl of shrimp and pork wonton soup, we loved it. I enjoyed and shared the pan fried thumb bun pork and scallion plate. The food and service were really good, we'll be back. Friendly people and great grub.

Kristin J.

Yelp
Loved the food here! Service and prices were great too. I had the shrimp, zucchini, and egg dumplings and the chicken fried rice. Everything was so delicious. I will be back to try other dumplings!

Vlad V.

Yelp
I love dumplings (and the various iterations other cultures make) of all types. So when I heard the name "Dumpling World," I was sold. I stopped by this Chinese restaurant in Sugar Land for dinner on a Monday. Located in a shopping center, parking is easy. Food (3/5): The menu has an extensive variety of dumplings but there's more than that on the menu. But since they're called Dumpling House, we stuck with dumplings. Three varieties. The classic soup dumplings (pro tip: take a small bite and suck in the broth before eating the dumpling. If you take a big bite, you're going to make a mess. Thank me later.). Wonton soup with dumplings. And another variety with zucchini. The dumplings were good but they were expensive compared to the portion sizes. Especially if you compare what you could get in Chinatown. Drinks (4/5): They don't serve alcohol but they do have boba which is always a plus in my book. Service (3/5): Comparable to a lot of spots in Chinatown. They don't really come to check on you and the service isn't terribly friendly but they get the job done. Ambiance (3.5/5): The restaurant is clean. And it's pretty small with only a handful of tables. Overall: A solid spot to grab some dumplings, just know you'll be paying a bit of a premium.

Yelp
Came here for lunch and the restaurant was almost full. The restaurant is small; good for groups of 4 preferably. Staff were friendly, and food was served pretty fast. I had the pork xiao long bao, shrimp, pork and chives boiled dumplings, pork and scallion pot stickers, pan-fried braised pork bun, sesame sauce noodle (dry), and pork fried rice. The pork xiao long bao had lotsa soup them. The skin was a little thick, and the meat and soup was a too salty. The boiled shrimp, pork and chives dumplings were good. The skin was thin, and the ingredients inside were plenty. The pot stickers were slightly too salty. The pan-fried braised pork bun was not good. The skin was way too thick, and the ingredients were too little. There wasn't much flavor to it too. The sesame sauce noodle was good. When mixed well with the noodles, the sauce didn't taste that salty. Rhetorical pork fried rice was just ok. Nothing to shout out about. Overall the food was so-so.

Tasty, clean and quick My friend recommended this restaurant for my girlfriend and I and we all really liked the food. Standout dish for me was the Szechuan Tan Tan Noodles. The beef and onion soup dumpling was also perfectly prepared.

Yelp
Eh... I'm kind of mixed on this place. I've had some good stuff here and some not so good. I think the dumplings are good--the potstickers especially. The soup dumplings are pretty good. Their sesame noodles were great.

Yelp
I have been here several times since opening and I just love it! Every time I go the customers look happy and well fed, and that's always a good sign! I have tried several dumplings including the fried rice, but hey, it's DUMPLING WORLD so just order all different kinds! The XLB are my go to and what's unique about DW is that customers create their own dumpling sauce at their table vs using a bottled pre-made sauce. I do love that. I also like the Pan-Fried Thumb Bun. They are so easy to just pop in your mouth! Service is quick and fast, and unpretentious. Very welcoming atmosphere. Come alone, with friends, with kids... just come! Plenty of parking as well.

Yelp
Great place to eat if you happen to be in the Sugarland area. I stumbled upon this while looking for a place to eat before our show at the Smart Financial center. We arrived around 6pm and was able to get the last table. Throughout dinner, there typically was 1-2 tables left and I believed I saw maybe 1 or 2 parties waiting on a Saturday night. I'm not usually a potsitckers fan, but these were pretty darn good. The xiao long baos had lots of soup! .... but the top part of the dumpling was on the heavy side. The thumb dumplings are recommended! We also had the tan tan noodles which were pretty good as well. Our food came out really fast... however, the second time when we realized we were still hungry, it was a little bit slower. Service was friendly. Overall, if you consider the limited number of Asian restaurants in the area, this will probably be one of our go-to places if we're ever on this side of town. I would recommend coming with a party of 4 or more just so that you can experience several dishes.

Yelp
Good food and good value. Service could be a bit better, but otherwise a great place.

Yelp
Fast service. Great food. And casual but clean atmosphere. The most surprising thing I enjoyed was the thumb dumplings. Would definitely get those again! The soup dumplings were tasty but not a ton of soup inside. Good for a restaurant in suburbia and not having to go in town for soup dumplings. My 3 yo also loves this place and eats quite a bit!

Yelp
An absolutely amazing Chinese restaurant in Sugar Land! My sister and I discovered this place around the time they first opened, and we always make it a go-to occasion to eat here every now and then. The dumplings, noodles, and overall coziness of the restaurant always makes our hearts (and tummies) full. JJ is an awesome waiter as well! Definitely recommend this restaurant for good food, cozy vibes, and awesome service!

Yelp
Terrible service. I ordered over the phone and was given an estimated pick up time of 20 min but after arriving at the restaurant learned they had forgotten to put in my order. Food is not nearly good enough to warrant such bad service.

Yelp
I initially reserved a table for 2 through Yelp but when my friend and I arrived, we were told that the restaurant does not take reservations through Yelp so just a heads up for anyone who was thinking of doing the same thing. Despite it being busy during lunch time, we were seated within 10 minutes. We ordered the Pork Xiao Long Bao, Shrimp & Pork Spicy Wontons, and the Eggplant & Minced Pork Noodle (Dry). Out of all the dishes, my friend and I enjoyed the Eggplant & Minced Pork Noodle the most. The noodles were handmade and the Eggplant/minced pork sauce was incredible. As for the dumplings, they were okay. I appreciate how the Xiao Long Bao had lots of soup but both dumpling dishes had a stronger pork taste that I personally don't like. But after adding lots of vinegar, it helped a little bit. I hope to visit again so I can try other dishes!

Yelp
Disney world is overrated. I'd rather be at DUMPLING WORLD! Steamed dumplings, potstickers, wontons, xiao long bao, pan fried bun - you name it, they will likely have it. You can tell that each dumpling is handmade to order by each ones expertly hand-crimped edges. The fillings are all very tasty and the dough has the perfect texture. The staff is very attentive and can help you figure out what to order if you're not sure (or just order everything!). They're running a fun promotion - if the bottom of your bowl says "Surprise", you can blind-pick a special offer for future use. We lucked out with some free xiao long bao! While One Dragon still makes my favorite XLB, Dumpling World is definitely a contender. I can't wait to go back and try their beef noodle soup and crispy bottom bao.

Yelp
Super yummy!! I love that they have 2 dumpling options that are vegan (I'm vegan) and they're both super delicious. The sesame sauce noodles are also THE BEST. My family has tried different noodles from them like the egg and tomato one which was good but they all agree that the sesame sauce noodles that I always get are the best!!!! I wish they had soup dumplings that were vegan or more vegan options in general but overall very yummy!

Yelp
This restaurant is in the former Singapore Cafe (RIP). It opened about a week ago and from the looks it's doing great. You walk in and immediately hit was a delicious aroma and unfortunate warm temperature. They are still running a special so if you find a surprise at the bottom of your bowl then you get to pick a free item for next time. We won 2 and it was fun. Service was ok. You can see them doing their best. Braised beef noodle was just ok. I enjoyed the tomato egg noodle more. The star of the show is obviously the dumplings though and I can't wait for my next trip, but wish they would fix their AC. Oddly, I know I'm weird but I loved the crushed ice in the water. 4.3/5 but I'm not rounding up

Yelp
Great for soup dumplings, steam baos, and fried rice. Loved all the food we ordered. This place satisfied our cravings and will be returning again. It is a hole in the wall restaurant that's a bit busy for take out and dinning in. Great customer service, and tasty food.
