The 11 Best Brunch Spots in Broward County

"Perhaps the best brunch view in Broward County, Dune has an open-air patio from the ocean’s edge. Equally as appetizing as the vistas are its brunch selections, spanning the simple (e.g., lemon blue crab on a croissant with poached eggs) to the intricate, like an egg-loaded shakshuka accompanied by a chorizo ravioli." - Jesse Scott

The place is nice; we sat on the terrace since we went for Happy Hour. The view is beautiful. The food isn’t bad, but it’s not the best either—at least the dishes from the Happy Hour menu that we tried. As for the service, the staff was friendly, but they weren’t very attentive, to be honest. My boyfriend had to get up three times and go directly to the bar to order since the waiters were nowhere to be found. Overall, the place is nice, but I wouldn’t choose it again, at least not for a Happy Hour.

Came here for a birthday dinner and the customer service was the best part of the Dune experience! Unfortunately, the food was mediocre and didn’t have a wow factor for me. To begin, there’s valet parking for $9, and the entrance to the restaurant is beautiful. The decor is nice and it was raining so outdoor seating was closed and we didn’t get to see the view that everyone boasts about. Our waiter, Bert, was top notch and went above and beyond. You can see this man loves his job. I ordered a glass of house cab (turned out to be a $24 glass of wine) and had the sea bass (wasn’t appealing to me). Overall, a good experience, but nothing to rave about.

Google
Good people, good inside decor and good food. If you go for dinner versus the 5pm to 7pm happy hour, be aware that your views will be obstructed by the happy hour crowd. The dinner menu has white table cloth prices but it’s not white table cloth in the outdoor dinner section. The wine list is grossly over priced making the happy hour menu look more reasonable. For the best views and the best prices, skip the dinner menu and dinner section and ask for the 5pm to 7pm happy hour menu and happy hour outdoor seating.

Initially we had slow service because it was busy and not enough servers outside. People who came after us were eating and we were still waiting for our order to be taken. All of that changed when I went inside for help. Frank came and offered to take our order. He gave us and the other people he took care of excellent service. He kept checking on us. We drank and ate a lot. The food is great the burger outstanding, probably the best burger ever. We ate and drank there 5 times in our 2 months on the beach. Wonderful!

My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner and welcome party at Dune at the beginning of June, and it was simply perfect and everything we envisioned! Let me start by saying Justin Rivas, the catering and events director, is AMAZING!! We've been coming to Dune since it opened and always knew we wanted our rehearsal here! The location, view, ambience, aesthetic, food and staff have always been our favorite. Justin was awesome from the start; very communicative, helpful, friendly, patient, knowledgeable and accommodating. With his guidance and experience, he listened to my ideas and made them come to life! I was dead set on having one long table for our sit down rehearsal dinner for 38 in the south room followed by a drinks & desserts welcome party for 60+ in the north room. He delivered and we were not disappointed!! Our food and drinks were great as usual. More importantly, the staff was incredible! Shout out to Jared, our welcome party bar tender! I wish I could remember more names because they all deserve applause and gratitude! Thank you so much to Justin and all of the amazing staff who provided us with the best service and made our night before a huge success and wonderfully perfect!!

The patio views are unmatched. I’ve yet to try and food I don’t like. The fried feta is amazing. Great spot to spend an afternoon sipping rose and enjoying the ocean.

Google
This have been one of the worst experience we ever had in Florida! We came for my friend’s birthday. No one approached to the table for more than 20 minutes. She had a reservation at 5 pm, they set her at 6:10 pm cause there wasn’t enough people for the reservation she made, two more people joined her birthday and wait 30 minutes for someone to show up. The pipe pasta was super dry, the burger as you can see is almost the same size as the ketchup holder (the taste was good though), the sushi is really normal. The server tried her best but the place is understaffed. The manager approached the table mad cause we were 9 people instead of the 7 that were on the original reservation, instead of looking for a solution for us, she told us we were a hazard for the place instead of looking for a new table since the beginning when we stood up for 20 minutes. Anyways, overrated place for the pricey food.

Google
Made a reservation for a Monday at 530pm. Place is absolutely gorgeous. The views are insane. The service was perfect. The food was delicious. Took about 25 mins to get our entrees and we got an appetizer in about 5-10 mins. Not bad at all. I’m not sure why anyone is complaining about this place. Yes it’s pricey but I’m not sure what you expect with a giant place on the water like that lol Everyone was super on top of everything. It IS dog friendly. My dog spilled his water and immediately people came over and cleaned it and refilled. They also refilled our waters anytime we basically had half glasses. It was really great service. Very happy and I’ll be going back.

Yelp
My husband and I were taken to Dune by a friend. Sadly, there's not alot that's positive about our experience. Reservations were for 7 pm; we waited in the lobby area for quite awhile - that's our first impression. We were seated - and then nothing! Menus were given by the hostess. . .then no one came - not with water, not to say hello - etc. . .for quite some time. Eventually a man came and offered water and said he would be our server. He was hard to understand - but we did give him drink orders. Drinks came - by then we'd been at our table for SO LONG. He came back eventually - hadn't even offered any info about specials, etc - we ordered. I had a good caesar salad - it needed salt and pepper but none was available and servers were impossible to find/or stop. Our 3 entrees arrived. The net is - portions were small. I had a hamburger w/ brioche bun and fries. The burger was described as having a special sauce and cheese/ spinach/ and onions. I took the bun off the burger and was it a small little burger! It was done med. well - and what there was tasted pretty good. I didn't try the fries. I was going to take them home but they were cleared from the table too quickly. My husband and friend had fish skewers - according to my husband, they were good - but not enough food. My husband had ordered a sauvignon blanc to go with his fish; it arrived after our plates had been cleared! I am sure the waiter was trying - I wonder if he was called in to help out as perhaps they'd overbooked. He had no conversational skills at all. **The only reason I ordered a burger is that there were only a few non- fish choices; I didn't want an "over $50.00 steak" - so that was it. The valets seemed confused as well - In summary - supposed to be so great. . .we won't return as there are so many places to get an excellent meal - and a great view - see Sea Watch.

Yelp
We stopped here for Happy Hour, which is only served at any of the bars or the patio all the way out back, which is nice, since it's close to the water. We had good servers and the view and ambiance were delightful. We got a sushi roll (excellent tasting, fresh and flavorful), the burger and fries (moist and well seasoned, but at $27 ... a bit of a splurge) and a seafood basket (excellent calamari and shrimp pieces nicely fried to crispness). We also got some wine and some prosecco, which were part of the HH menu. Overall nice food, nice service, but very expensive...even for Happy Hour. We spent over $100 for 2 people during Happy Hour.

Yelp
I have been to Dune several times over the years and while it's breathtakingly beautiful with fantastic ocean views, it's lacking amazing food. Yes, the menu is decent, but nothing pops out. Today I had the burger, because other menu items did not sound that appealing. The burger was done well, but it just wasn't anything special. The brunch menu is very limited and the server refused to let you order even a side of bread until we asked 3x. Very odd. I would primarily stick to happy hour for the amazing ocean front view!

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday expecting a brunch menu but had to settle for the regular lunch menu. Oh well, guess have to come back again another time! I did have the lobster salad (minus avocado and dressing as I have allergies) and the server did ensure I had a nice safe dressing. Very crisp and good, however I wasn't crazy about the way the lettuce was stacked on the edges. Not a big deal! My friend had the burger. Said it was good. Ended up having about 5 espresso martinis after and moved into the inside bar which is beautiful. Great vibe. Would come back for a dinner also.

Yelp
Heard so many great things about Dune, so I decided to give it a try and it didn't disappoint. The ambiance was spectacular, great beautiful views. As an appetizer we ordered the blue crab sushi roll which was so delicious hands down a favorite, along with a salmon crispy rice and blue fin tuna. For dinner we shared the short rib w/ pomme pure which was so tender and juicy. The drinks were delicious and generous on the alcohol. Our waiter was very nice and gave us outstanding suggestions to try. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
I recently visited for brunch with a group of eight to celebrate two birthdays, both were on the actual day of the brunch. We all opted for the bottomless mimosas, which were a great deal, and our server ensured our glasses were never empty, bringing them out promptly. When it came to the food, everyone who ordered sushi couldn't stop raving about how fresh and delicious the rolls were. My husband had the Poached Egg Benedict served over a grilled corn arepa. While it was flavorful, I found the arepa a bit tough. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros, and it was absolutely delicious--the eggs were perfectly cooked and paired perfect with the corn tortillas, beans, cheese, and guacamole. The vibe for brunch was fun, and I highly recommend sitting outside; the view is amazing! The patio is well-covered with plenty of fans, so even in August, we were all comfortable. Our server was friendly but after spending $600, no birthday dessert was offered for either of the birthdays we were celebrating. She seemed disappointed that we'd didn't spend more. For a high end restaurant, something should have been offered.

Yelp
I've been returning to Dune for over 4 years now and I think this is the lowest score I've ever given it and it's because of how I felt treated by valet. If you don't come in a G Wagon or Mercedes, prepare to be ignored. They assisted people behind me and took multiple cars to park all while asking only me to pull up my car three separate times-- while continuing to assist the cars behind me. I will probably not visit the restaurant again and if you're the average customer, I wouldn't recommend because depending on who you are and what You/your car looks like, there's a possibility you're going to be ignored. The actual dining experience was nice. We ate outside and the food was good- i had a burger. Our server was also nice. But due to valet I'm pretty unlikely to return.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants! Everything tastes so fresh and yummy! The waiter was so helpful and knowledgeable. The restaurant was so elegant and aesthetically pleasing.

Yelp
We had a great time at this restaurant overall. The view was amazing, and the service was great. The food tasted very fresh. The waiter was friendly and accommodating, especially with our toddler, and we really appreciate that. However, the hostess was a bit rude when we arrived, which was a bit off-putting. She seemed annoyed we didn't have a reservation but the restaurant was quite empty when we came in (Thursday at lunch time). Despite that, the meal and service made up for any initial awkwardness. The prices were on the higher side for a lunch, but the overall experience was still enjoyable. They did have a great price for a pre-fixed menu but I do not eat seafood.

Yelp
Utterly stunning decor and even more remarkable food. A work dinner became an absolute extravagance. Delicious cocktails were had- one of my favorite old fashioneds, followed by the best branzino I've ever eaten. A must try in Ft Lauderdale!

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant, great decor and ambiance and right on the beach makes it a great place for drinks with friends. Went for Saturday Brunch and the menu looked great, but the food was meh! I ordered the lobster salad that for $42 I was expecting more,- more flavor, a better dressing etc.... Lobster was fresh and delicious but the salad needed more umph! Have had many lobster salads -pricier and cheaper and they were better. Definitely want to go back and have dinner to see if they get that right... I have hope! I have no problem paying $$$ for food but it needs to be worth it, definitely something better than I can make at home. Now drinks, they did that right! I had the coconut margarita and that was very good. Not as good as the one the Condado in Puerto Rico makes, but it was a close second.
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful ambiance and amazing view. The drinks were very tasty and refreshing. The spicy passion fruit margarita was my fave. The snowbird was good too but needed a little more flavor! But very refreshing overall. We went here for Valentine's Day last night. The food was exceptional. I wasn't a fan of the appetizer which was baby beets and leeks. It was a tiny platter but yet refreshing and light. The tuna crudo was to die for! The dressing on it was just perfect. The level of freshness of the tuna was unexplainable. The short ribs with mash potatoes was truly amazing. I was blown away on how delicious and how the short rib melts in your mouth! Wow! Would go back for this plate. Now the desserts my husband and I were not a fan of. The chocolate ganache was too strong. Too chocolatey for our taste and the macaron was not what we expected. Overall we had a great experience and everything was beautiful. They gave us a little box with a chocolate to go which was super thoughtful. Our waiter was very nice and efficient. Super sweet. Wish I would have gotten his name. But a French man with light eyes. Very attentive!

Yelp
Yes, Dune by Laurent Tourondel is situated right on the dunes of the beach. Day and evening, Dune has a beautiful, almost magical ambiance. The modern all white interior is offset by the a coastal vibe of gray-washed wood. I've been here a few times for parties, but this was my first time getting a full dinner dining experience. Service staff were on point the whole meal. The menu is not large, but it has weekly specials. We shared a Greek salad that is basically deconstructed. Simple and elegant. The dumplings and sushi roll were unique and tasty. My delicious Delmonico style 16 oz Ribeye was perfect medium-rare as requested. It was accompanied by sautéed spinach, very good homemade fries and tomato-oregano choron (I had to google that one before ordering LOL). I tried to find criticism but really couldn't except for possibly prices being in the high range for our items ordered; however, it was anticipated as Dune is right on the beach with unparalleled views during the day. It's also part of a new condominium building with $10 million units. Note that during large scale parties, such as their quarterly LGBT Sunday afternoon events, the valet will be completely swamped. It takes a long time to retrieve your car. During normal times it's fine.

Yelp
Can't beat this view! It's very pricy, but I really enjoy the sushi and crispy rice. We just got Diet Coke this time, no cocktails. I was a little annoyed there was no free refills on Diet Coke, each one was $5, so just be prepared to spend money if you go here!

Yelp
After having great experiences in the past, my friend made a reservation at 7:30. I have been to dune a couple of times and was always impressed, but tonight's service makes me question whether I'd ever come back. First off, almost everything we ordered was wrong. For apps we ordered 6 oysters and a meatball along with our drinks. We quickly received the meatball and the wrong order of oysters (there were 12 instead of 6). The bread that came with the meatballs was stale and hard as a rock. Was also disappointed to see that they got rid of the Brazilian cheese bread and replaced it for what I think was pesto bread that no one was a fan of. About ten minutes later we received the correct order of oyster but were still waiting on our drinks. We ordered our entrees and were disappointed to find out that the special I wanted to order was not available. Instead I decided to order the crispy rice. Finally, we received our drinks after ordering the entrees. When we received our meals, the steak was delicious but the crispy rice was soggy and flavorless. I was really disappointed. For dessert we saw the table next to us order a dish that came with smoke effects and what looked like 4 little pastries with ice cream. We asked what the dish was, was told by the server that it was baked Alaska, and ended up ordering it. Instead we received a huge cake with fire crackers which was not the small dish the table next to us ordered. Overall very poor service and mediocre food.
google avatar

Alicia C.

Yelp
This was definitely a good choice for date night. Parking and check in were both seamless. The entrance was beautiful and the view brought it all together. Food wise we started with drinks and the wagyu meatballs. The meatballs were great that we contemplated ordering another. The chopped salad was different but surprisingly good. The pomegranate seeds were a little overpowering but we pushed through. The lamb chops were perfection. I was truly in heaven being a new lamb chop loving girlie. The steak I got to sample was also delicious. Overall, we will definitely visit again and try other things on the menu.
google avatar

Julia J.

Yelp
The ambiance here is amazing but the service is horrible. They took 20mins to take our orders and because the order was taken wrong we missed lunch service and I left hungry. They seem to be on top of servicing the white folks but I hate to say my table was neglected and forgotten because I'm black but that's what it was giving. I'm very unhappy to see in 2025 that this is still an issue. We should all be treated equally and fairly because last I remember money is green. I will not be returning here.

Yelp
Parking was great , I didn't have to worry about searching for parking .They had valet service which was cheap. I went for happy hour, they have a good selection of items and drinks from 4-6pm on week days . We had the delicious Mushroom & Truffle Flatbread. It had so much flavor , it was the best Flatbread I ever had . We also had Tomato-Buratta Flatbread but the Mushroom Truffle was my favorite one . And just Wowww the Crispy Chicken Steamed Buns were amazing ! Overall , are experience was great ! The waiter was super attentive and food was so fresh and great ! I been to many outdoor restaurant in Florida but by far none of them beat this ocean view at Dune . No restaurant in FL. is this close to the beach . Amazing view !! Highly Recommend Dune !

Yelp
To start- we are locals. We grew up in Ft Lauderdale The restaurant is lovely and our server. Diana was lovely. However, waiting 30 minutes to get a drink, including an iced tea. Waiting 15 minutes for a spoon, getting cold french fries and just basically waiting for everything, even basic items Empty plates with food, sat on the table for at least 30 minutes, also I'm under the impression they are short staffed. Not that we were in a rush by any means however prompt service is a must especially for a restaurant of this caliber. We live in Napa part time also and we go to Auberge there and they are spot on. Learn something from Auberge de Soleil, and get your restaurant up to the standards of an Auberge property. Not everyone is a tourist.

Yelp
HAPPY HOUR. Just go, excellent view, excellent service. Sushi rolls. Great wine list. Awesome cocktails!

Yelp
Best burger hands down. Paired w the onions and the burger taste so good, I'm in awe.

Yelp
Over-priced, slow service, rude servers, low quality food. It's on the ocean so I give ambiance 2 stars.

Yelp
To start off the service and ambiance was amazing. I highly recommend. The food was top tier. The ox tail ravioli and short rib are to die for definitely 5 stars.

Yelp
Made reservations for thanksgiving dinnerv@ 99.pp. The plate of dinner which was turkey was disgraceful to serve from this Famous chef! --- 3 small pieces of turkey breast, a little Pattie of what was dark meat pressed, and then a small little baked piece of dry stuffing and small portion of cranberry on this big plate with a big gravy boat of enough gravy for an entire turkey. Side order of mashed potatoes and dried vegetable served in little plates! No way to celebrate thanksgiving! Dessert was a selection of three pies/cakes And I might add three small pieces of bread served and when asked for more we were told not available! Note this was set menu for $99.00 Well the ocean view was nice! Famous chef Laurent Tourendel certainly should be working in France where they don't celebrate thanksgiving with Turkey!

Yelp
We came to celebrate my mother in laws birthday after a couple recommendations. I would rate this place about a 5 out of 10. Ambiance: There were two different seating areas with two very different vibes. We sat outdoors which felt much more relaxed than the inside. The view was absolutely amazing. Beautiful views of the beach and ocean. There are a good number of fans helping with the heat, which we really appreciated. Drinks: The drinks were decent. Nothing special, but we're decent for the price. Service: The service was pretty good. When we first got here they tried to seat us inside, but we had requested outdoor seating on our reservation. They quickly moved us outside with a good view of the beach. Overall good service was good. Our server was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed for our meal. Food/Price: This is where I was disappointed. The food was good overall, but sometimes felt as if additional seasoning or flavor was needed. Our chopped salad felt as if it was lacking dressing and my chicken Diablo seemed to be lacking the heat to make it spicy (other than the occasional pepper). The branzino was a bit dry, but overall had good flavor. The crispy beef and crispy tuna rice were great. The portion sizes were relatively large. We were ok with the food overall, but given the price of the meals, I feel like they could have been prepared a little better.

Yelp
Came here for dinner the night of Christmas Eve. We were greeted promptly with waters and bread (which was delicious and warm) we started with a round of drinks - the champagne was fresh and bubbly! We ordered the meatball as an appetizer and it was big enough for 4 of us to split. The tuna sashimi was FRESH and delicious and so was the octopus. The purée it came with was a perfect combo. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and the fries were warm and crispy - it did feel a little rushed but it was a busy night! Would love to come back here. It was very intimate, low lighting and not too loud

Yelp
I was really surprised by this restaurant. No offence to FLL but sometimes it can feel all too causal but this place sit right on the water and has a very cool interior. We had an awesome sunset cocktail / wine session followed by dinner. The menu confused me a little because I expected more seafood options. Expected a ceviche or take on tartare but no. Essentially you have the seabass; salmon; branzino and then your other meats. To be fair, there were scallops on specials menu as well I suppose. For me, stars of the show were the crispy rice salmon/ spicy tuna. Branzino wasn't as exciting as branzino can be and it seems weird to me to serve Seabass on a skewer. Anything on a skewer just brings the feel of the meal down to a home bbq vibe. It did taste good just odd choice of presentation. Lemon rosemary chicken was a bit salty and very wet. There was a lot of spinach and that just soggies up the plate. But then... the strawberry shortcake mochi for dessert!!!! This looked impressive and the taste matched so it won for best overall bite. We would go back and sit outside at sunset for sure.

Yelp
DUNE is a nice restaurant, though very expensive. The space itself is gorgeous. There are plenty of seats, and we had an amazing view of the ocean from our booth. In terms of service, it could have been better. A server came and took away our starter before we finished it. And then another server tried to collect a member of my party's plate before she finished. It all felt a bit rushed. I ordered the jerk chicken, which was a special that night. It was tender and flavorful, but not nearly as spicy as I thought it would be. In fact, it was pretty mild. For dessert, I went with the hazelnut torte -- another special. It was good, although a little dry. The scoop of vanilla gelato was the best part.
google avatar

Lydia K.

Yelp
The food was excellent. My husband had the Mezze platter and I had the seabass fish on a skewer. Both were flavorful and well prepared. Our waitress was attentive and gracious. I would give this restaurant 5 stars but unfortunately the young hostess who greeted us was dismissive and condescending. I was under the impression the Happy Hour was offered every night, including Saturdays because the Happy Hour menu does not indicate any date restrictions. When I pointed out the omission on their website she refused to acknowledge my feedback and insisted she was correct and I was wrong without taking a moment to investigate. Regardless, my husband and I look forward to returning again as the experience overall was very positive.
google avatar

James G.

Yelp
Not impressed. Wanted the lamb chops but without the Moracan side because of colon cancer and the spices would be hard on me. Waiter informed me I couldn't replace because the chef doesn't make changes. So I had the filet mignon. It was okay but nothing great. They didn't have the wine we ordered in stock then some ordered a dessert and they didn't have everything to make it in stock. Won't return

Yelp
I give this one a 6 out of 10. Lovely environment, pretty good service, great appetizers and dessert, very unsatisfying entrée experience. Started with the chopped salad and the whipped ricotta and zucchini flatbread which were both very good. My dad got the Shrimp scampi and artichoke raviolini which was not bad, but not great. I ordered the roasted veal chop marsala with fontina cheese, prosciutto, and spinach over creamy polenta with hen of the forest. It was fatty, slightly overcooked, and there was so much fontina cheese it was oozing out for about 4 minutes. The mushrooms were fibrous and chewy. This was the biggest disappointment, and I only ate a few bites. I asked for Earl Gray tea, and got English Breakfast, but I guess that's not a big deal. The star of the show was the milk chocolate peanut butter croquant with banana gelato. Excellent. It's a bummer because it's a beautiful space with a great location, but paying over $60 for an entrée that is subpar is not ideal. I asked for Earl Gray and got this, not the biggest deal in the world, and it's hard to go wrong with a good black tea.

Food mediocre at best. Tomato Burrata Flatbread was soggy and limp, Crispy Spicy Tuna was lackluster in flavor and rice hard as a rock, the Scottish Salmon was over-cooked, dry and nothing special. Ordered a nice French Rose bottle of wine only to be told in was not cold/not in the refrigerator. Service attentive enough but lacking the skills of fine dining service, such as clearing soy sauce, salt dish, etc., after entrees were cleared. As to the ladies' room, paper towels were right by the entry door away from the sinks and the door swung open so you risk getting hit while trying to dry hands. Along with other details, not at all a ladies' room one expects at a fine dining restaurant.

Yelp
I'm giving Dune three stars because the food was phenomenal, but I was appalled at the service we received here. I had never dined here before and heard nothing but amazing things about it, so I decided to book my 30th birthday dinner here. It was definitely not one for the books. After realizing how late my friends were going to be (they won't seat if the whole party isn't there) I asked if we could get a table later and the hostess said they were fully booked. Totally understand their grace period and was not upset about that at all. So she told us there was first come couch service outside. It was right on the water and a gorgeous view--we were totally ok with it! The couch area was dirty and we waited about 15 minutes before I went to the hostess stand and asked if I was supposed to flag down a server myself. She kindly came out and got someone for us, but it was another 10 minutes before we were helped. A server named Marcus came over and began pouring waters. A busser walked by and I asked him if he could please clean our table and he said, "Oh, those aren't your plates?" So as he is clearing the table and Marcus is pouring the waters, I asked if he was going to be our server tonight. He replied, "Uh, I guess so. I'm not supposed to be, but I guess I'm everyone's server tonight." It was extremely awkward to say the least. I ended up taking a dirty napkin and wiping the soy sauce and water marks off our table myself. 10 minutes after ordering apps, I went inside and asked to speak to a manager. Christina was extremely understanding and sweet. I let her know about the service outside and how stressed Marcus seemed so that maybe they could send some help outside (we weren't the only neglected table out there). She came out to see where we were sitting and insisted she comp our first round of drinks. Management service was spectacular. For appetizers we had the crunchy tuna rice, Parmesan soufflé, and truffle flatbread. All of them were absolutely to DIE for. By the time we had gotten them, we had been waiting for well over 45 minutes, so we scarfed them down. When our other friends finally got there, we ordered our dinners. My very pregnant friend (due in 2 weeks) ordered the seafood salad and asked Marcus if there was any raw fish in it. He had absolutely no idea and said he didn't think so. She asked if he was sure and he said no, but he'd put in a note to make sure the seafood was all cooked. He told us he normally isn't a server and just deals with drinks at the bar. I worked in the industry for years, and at every restaurant I worked at, ALL staff (excluding bussers) had to know the menu inside and out. I would think a restaurant of this caliber would have the same standards. When the food dropped, we ordered more drinks. They never came. We had to ask 3 different people before we finally got them. When the food was dropped on our table by runners, we had several empty plates from appetizers. They were never bussed. My friend ordered a $78 steak and got no silverware with it. So we sat and waited, and eventually my fiancé took all the empty plates to the busser station himself and got a roll up for my friend so he wouldn't have to eat his steak cold. All of our dinners were absolutely phenomenal. I had the snapper--it was fresh, fresh, fresh! My friends enjoyed the seafood salad, shrimp pasta dish, ribeye steak, and center cut steak. We all agreed that the food here is beyond 5 stars. My fiancé had to tell our server that it was my birthday (in the original reservation we had made a note) so he did bring out a $16 4-inch square of chocolate mousse. Prices here are hefty. In my opinion it's worth it for a super meal. Throughout our visit several people began coming over and checking on us. Christina, the sweet manager, came by to make sure we were ok, as did Bradley (I think he may have been the bar manager--not sure, but he was also great!). Marcus was super nice, but almost every encounter we had was just awkward. They did bring out 2 plates of complimentary bread that was cheesy and to die for (though we heard the table next to us complain that they ordered bread twice and it never came, so we're not sure it was actually supposed to come to us...) and they comped ALL our drinks, which was extremely generous. Overall, I have to say this was the single most disappointing experience I've ever had at a Michelin restaurant. I had such high expectations and really thought this was going to be a special place to celebrate the big 3-0. We were there a total of 4 hours and 20 minutes. We did enjoy our time together and the weather was gorgeous. I would definitely come again to give it another shot, and hopefully will be able to bump my stars up to 5, where they should be. The outdoor self serve area needs to get it together!

Yelp
4th time eating here this past Friday and it's a solid good dinner. We had sushi and crudo to start, we had delicious drinks and our meals were all delicious and fresh. Service really impress me this last time because this place gets so packed and they still are so welcoming, always have a smile always efficient and serve you in the perfect timing without having to hunt down your server like other popular places busy as Dune. You can't beat the ambience outside with the fresh salty breeze by the beach the cool Outside bar and ofcourse the view Try to make a reservation ahead of time! And get the baked Alaska if you have a big group because is huge.. we were 6 and had so much leftover after eating a big slice.

Yelp
All food was excellent! Order from the price fix menu this summer for an app, entree, and dessert all included for $55! They also give you a free bread basket with flaky salt, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar.

Yelp
This is a great restaurant for celebrating special occasions. The atmosphere and decor is classy and gorgeous. We arrived for Happy Hour (4 p.m. - 6 p.m.) prior to our dinner reservation. Initially only the outside bar was open and then the inside bar opened as well. Our wine was $8 a glass. We had 12 glasses of wine, the mushroom truffle flatbread, calamari & shrimp and crispy tuna nigiri and our bill was $175. We enjoyed the house wine and all the food was delicious. I will definitely return to enjoy Happy Hour again. Our dinner reservation for six required a credit card that would be charged if we did not honor the reservation. We sat outside for our dinner, it was a chilly and breezy evening, but they put down one of the partitions, and sitting outside was very enjoyable. Our waiter as well as all the serving staff was friendly and professional. Our water glasses were never empty. Our party enjoyed the branzino, salmon, rib eye and scallops (4). All were presented very nicely. The couscous served with the salmon had slivered almonds in it that were not mentioned in the menu description, that was not a problem for me, but could be for some. Two in our party ordered the Maine lobster salad special, $38. The description was that it was the lobster meat from a 2 pound Maine lobster. What was presented did not fill a small dinner plate, there was no lobster tail. The flavor was good but it was no way was it an entree-size meal. We also ordered the Baked Alaskan celebration cake, $45, which the waiter presented with a sparkler as we were celebrating a promotion. It is quite a pretty spectacle. It says it serves 2 - 6, however we were six and had at least 1/3 of it left over which the waiter put in the freezer while we finished up so we could take it home. Dinner for six, with 2 sides, 3 glasses of wine and dessert was $537 with a 20% gratuity included. All staff from hosts to servers to valet are very professional Valet parking is convenient and $9, our car was retrieved very quickly. Overall, Dune is a great location for a celebration or date night I recommend a visit to Dune especially on a pleasant day for happy hour outside.

Yelp
Stay away from this restaurant especially if you want to have anything to drink with ice. They don't tell you that they charge for the ice if they make a martini which had ice in the shaker, a drink on the rocks, or any water with ice. Forget that the prices for meals are more than any fine dining places in Vegas, NYC or LA. Just stay away and go somewhere better.

Yelp
What a disappointment the Thanksgiving dinner! The turkey had no taste(sliced very thick) and the grave was kind of white tasting pure flour. Vegetables= squash was served with a hard skin and mushrooms no taste at all. We understand that the portions of food in this type of restaurant are small but when we got 3 little pieces of corn bread(the only good thing that was served), we asked for more and the waiter said that they are allowed do serve only one piece for costumer... Deserts = the worst apple pie I have tasted and the pumpkin pie a very, very small piece.. TOO EXPENSIVE FOR THE KIND OF FOOD THAT WAS SERVED!

Yelp
A must visit! The ambiance, the food and the service were all amazing! Went for Mother's Day and it was perfect. The weather was beautiful and the Air Show was the same day. You have direct access to the beach from the outdoor seating. Beautiful outdoor bar as well.

Yelp
So I've been here about 4 times and mostly during the week. A++ on the weekdays. Honestly that's when you get the best attentive service. I came this past Sunday and it was crazy busy. I get it...it was a beautiful day outside and they had the DJ and the immaculate views. I sat at the bar waiting for my other guests to arrive on the Rez. I recommend using open table to make the reservation. The hosts were sweet. I asked 2 diff bartenders for a drink after waiting 10 mins to get any acknowledgement or menu. It's busy, I understand. But then my friend came and ordered a drink. 15 mins later NO drink. Perhaps who she asked was the service bartender? Idk but they are disorganized in that regard. If you are busy just say hold on... not yes and not get the drink. This is where the stars are knocked off. Anyway, upon seating we put our orders in. I ordered the tres leches French toast with a side of bacon. My whole party got their food before me. So sad I couldn't eat bc I had work. I was then told by the manager that the first one that came out wasn't up to the standards of the chef, and that they were remaking my order. Now this I can understand, because the food here is excellent, so I can give grace there. But the fact that they didn't offer any sort of sides or anything in the meantime to hold me over while I watch my friends eat their food was bizarre to me. In conclusion, I ended up eating my French toast at work and it was great tasting but not warm. I will say if you do come here on the weekend, make sure you have enough time to sit about two plus hours to fully enjoy your meal and make sure you don't have any prior engagements afterwards. Oh, and the valet is a hot mess

Yelp
My friend lives in the Palms so we wandered over to sit outdoors for a cocktail and apps after a beach day. Unfortunately, the outdoor bar was not open so we lost out on the ocean view, but the happy hour menu made up for it. I thoroughly enjoyed their Strawberry Fields cocktail and tried a White Pinot Noir for the first time!! Both were refreshingly delicious. He ordered the Grilled Prime Burger with Moliterno truffled cheese, truffle aioli, caramelized onion, and baby spinach which was flavorful, but a bit over cooked for my liking ‍ I ordered the Mushroom and Truffle Flatbread with wild mushrooms, taleggio with caramelized onion, parmesan, truffle oil which was a bit undercooked for my liking, but still quite tasty ‍ Our bartender was super sweet, but service was a bit slow and she forgot to order our appetizer and also the couple's next to us at the bar. Definitely worth giving it a try! I'm sure we'll be back again -- hopefully sitting outdoors

Yelp
Dune is located in North Fort Lauderdale beach and has the most beautiful views. Unlike most places in Fort Lauderdale that have A1A in between the patio and ocean, Dune is located right on the beach. So many great spots for photos! While there are a slight few metered parking spots available, you'll most likely need to valet which is only $8. They have a phone app for valet so you can pay with a card which is so convenient. The decor is beautiful, beachy, and simple. The drinks are delicious- the pina colada is the best I've ever had. It has a fresh toasted coconut taste and is so worth it. I don't think they have any bottomless specials anymore, or at least didn't when we went for brunch. The sushi is so fresh. The mushroom flatbread was also flavorful and truffley. They had an amazing woman DJ who was playing great jams, and although we were right next to the DJ booth it wasn't too loud. While this is an upscale restaurant, it has a relaxed vibe and is a nice treat!

Yelp
love the atmosphere and the burgers... we are fortunate enough to live very near... Unfortunately, we have been disappointed a few times.... Being in the restaurant business for over 35 years there is a certain standard we are all held to... I've worked from the Hamptons to South Beach and consider myself a foodie... I've never in my life been charged for a second cup of American coffee!!!! And after questioning it, being told that the charge was correct.... It's unfortunate because I spend my time making customers feel welcomed, special and justified on a daily basis!!! when I go out- I expect the same.... Front of house always disappoints..

Yelp
Come for the vibe & views! Breathtaking views of the beach and ocean. The outdoor dining area is truly stunning with fans to keep you cool on hot days. It was really comfortable outside dining around 6pm in July! Fully covered so even if it's raining you can enjoy. They have indoor dining too with a bar both inside and out. Service was great - our waitress and assistant staff were super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed promptly. Now for the downfall.. the food.. unfortunately our expectations fell short immediately with the appetizers. The chopped salad had tons of delicious ingredients but no flavor and minimal dressing. Once they brought us more dressing after requesting it was much better. The spicy tuna crispy rice and beef crispy rice - the rice was rock hard. To the point where it was hurting your teeth! I was pretty full so I got the mushroom flatbread for my entree and it was good but piled high with tart tasting mushrooms - the flavor was odd. My husband and dad got the Diablo chicken which was huge! They said it was good but not hot at all except for a few pieces of peppers. My moms branzino was super dry - you could tell it was over cooked. The drinks were fine - just average especially for the price ($18 for wine , ~$20 for cocktail). Parking was valet only for $9. We waited a while for our car and then an attendant came over and asked if we had the keys. He didn't know exactly what happened but apparently they may have left the keys in the car. Luckily they found and our car was brought up. Overall just a fine night which was pretty disappointing as we were celebrating a big birthday.

Yelp
After having a fabulous time at Dune in 2020, I recommended my friends to join my husband and I for a date night here. This was my first time back after the remodel and I was excited to try the new menu. The atmosphere is slightly different than before and dare I say a bit more casual but still nice. We were able to sit at one of the round booths that overlook the restaurant so we had a great view. The service was very attentive and we enjoyed talking to our waiter. When it comes to the food there were a few hits and a few misses. My husband's tuna sushi was absolutely delicious as was the pasta appetizer we ordered. Everything else was just "okay". For the price I feel like some of the side dishes could be a bit more creative rather than some french fries on the side of a steak.

Yelp
I've been many times for breakfast and each time was better than the last! The steak and eggs were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place not only for the food but also the beautiful outdoor beach views. Will definitely be back .

Yelp
I have to start this review off with how awesome the service was. Our server was phenomenal, perfect timing on the meal and very attentive. That really makes a difference in today's "service lite" environment. The support service was also on point. Food/drink runners, bussers, hosts...the whole team worked really well together. Five star service! The space is really nice, beach, elegant, fresh, modern and very clean. Both bars were so cool and we'll definitely be back for cocktails soon. The food is great. The baked feta and honey was top notch. The chopped salad was perfect. I had one of the flatbreads as my entree and it was plenty of food. The rest of the menu was well-rounded and great options for vegetarians. The cocktail menu was interesting and diverse, perfect for a beach spot. The wine list was eclectic if not a bit over-priced. I will say Dune is pricey for what it is. While I'm sure we'll be back, definitely for cocktails, we'll likely have to reserve Dune for special occasions. Everything was worth the price, so not a complaint.
