Dune Hua-Hin (Hua-Hin, Thailand) 3 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"You know how these things go. The hip destination of the moment is the one with the right blend of natural appeal, geographic accessibility, and exclusivity — the place that’s edgier than the established destinations (read in this case Bangkok or Phuket) but that draws enough traffic to support some kind of infrastructure (meaning not, say, Antarctica, or the island from Lost). As of right now, Thailand’s destination of the moment is Hua Hin — and a good look at a hotel like Dune should go a long way towards explaining why." - Tablet Hotels

We had a really nice weekend in this hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean. The owners and personnel are very friendly and even speak good English. The location is also good because it felt like it was not in the tourist center of the city and thus a little bit more quiet. Also there were a lot of restaurants around that were mostly visited by locals and fulfilled our expectations. Also just a 50m walk down the road leads you to a part of the beach where not a lot of people are, especially no one that wants to sell you something like on the beach near the night market. We were so happy with this hotel and can recommend it to everyone that wants a quiet stay in the city with good and friendly staff, nice local area and accessibility to the beach.

We loved our accommodation but the details on Tripadvisor are incorrect so you must know what you are booking. |This is a small concrete block with five rooms, one of which has a small plunge pool. It is not what I would call a hotel. There is a reception desk manned by a nice lady who speaks some English but no one there after 8pm. The entrance and stairs are dark and gloomy but open onto lovely rooms. Breakfast is served on the top floor overlooking the little roof top pool but there is no restaurant or bar, nor is there a kitchenette for guest use. |Photos showing a lush garden with a pool must be disregarded because this is at a private house and wasn’t available to us. |So, why did we rate this as 5/5? Quite simply the room, balcony and bathroom, with dressing room, were large and well appointed. It’s a felt like our own condominium in a residential area with a view of the sea. The small staff were friendly and helpful even to the point of arranging for us to have some breakfast when we had an early departure. |The location was fine for us but maybe a bit far from the busy tourist streets in the town for some. There’s a seafood restaurant overlooking the sea just 5 minutes walk, supermarket and other bars and restaurants about 12 minutes away and it’s a taxi ride to the night market. There were no taxis nearby so we used Grab, often having to wait a while before someone would pick us up. The area is very safe, a security guard sits outside minding the big house with the swimming pool, but the pavements are broken up as elsewhere and there are trip hazards aplenty. |While it was lovely to have a sea view, we hadn’t appreciated that Hua Hin just has a narrow strip of sand and due to high seas there was no access to the beach from the end of the road. |We spent three nights there which were relaxing and that was quite long enough in Hua Hin.

It's my first visit here for a birthday trip. In order to avoid crowds, I went with Dune. Dune is a small hotel with the staffs that care about providing excellent service. Very impressed. Definitely coming back!!!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a weekend to celebrate my birthday, and it exceeded all expectations. The staff went above and beyond, decorating the room with balloons and a cake - a thoughtful touch we hadn’t anticipated. The room was incredible; one of the best we’ve ever stayed in and amazing value for money. The massive bath and boutique charm made it feel more luxurious than some 5-star hotels. The rooftop pool, with its clear beach views, was a peaceful escape. The location, slightly out of town, was ideal for exploring hidden gems like local restaurants, beach bars, and even a dog shelter with a café. We also loved Taba’s Roman-style pizza, perfect for enjoying on our balcony. Breakfast was a standout, with options like avocado toast, cinnamon apple porridge, and blueberry smoothie bowls (easily restaurant quality and included in the stay). The only small downside was the limited rooftop loungers, but that’s a minor detail in what was otherwise a perfect stay. We’re already planning to return!

Exceptionally beautiful small hotel (only 5 rooms). Very quiet and only a few meters from the sea. Super friendly service. The only small disadvantage: it's a bit of a walk to the nightlife around the Clocktower.

Great room with friendly and prompt service. Although it’s a bit of a distance to the Hua Hin Night Market, requiring a 15-20 minute walk, the road is well-lit and feels safe. The breakfast is exquisite, with generous and healthy portions. If it’s not enough, you can order extra toast and drinks. Thank you for adding wonderful memories to our trip!

Secret little place this hotel. We are a repeated customer! It feel like living in my own apartment with a sea view. Big room - easily double the size of a normal hotel room. Breakfast is unbelievable - high quality ingredients and three healthy options. Presentation is five star! Currently there is a construction of private houses near to it. But the good thing is the view to the beach is so much better now that the messy vacant land is being dealt with. Hopefully the site would turn into nice new houses in April May. The pool on the third floor with a restaurant are so private and classy with uninterrupted view of sunrise and sunset. I can work there during a hot afternoon hour and have a place for myself, with occasionally popped out for Ice Cream at Eighteen Below or Coffee at Waikiki nearby. Top deck is a plus for city view, given no one else has it. All these facilities to max 10 people. We are so coming back! Thank you for having us.

I stayed here for 4 nights. Good service, good price, comfort, chill, high CP value, and very healthy breakfast. I highly recommend staying here. The only thing you need to pay attention to is that there are a lot of wild dogs in the alley opposite.
