Dunedin New Zealand Eats is a fantastic spot tucked in the heart of South Park, one of my favorite areas in the city. There’s so much to do on the street—from boutique shopping to grabbing coffee or dessert after your meal—though parking can be a bit of a challenge, so plan ahead if you’re driving. Inside, the vibe strikes a nice balance between comfortable and chic. It’s a place where you could just as easily catch up with friends over a casual lunch or enjoy a relaxed date night. We tried the chicken pot pie and the kiwilango burger, and both were excellent. The chicken pot pie is exactly what comfort food should be—rich, savory, and satisfying with a generous layer of buttery puff pastry. The kiwilango burger was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful with just the right amount of kick. We paired it with the sweet potato fries, which were crisp and delicious. This place nails the food and the atmosphere—definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

My fiance and I were going on a double date in North Park and didn't realize we need a reservation for the original place we wanted to go to. So this was our plan b, we walked in with No Reservations and got really lucky that there was seats available for us outside. And don't worry the outside patio seating is just as adorable and jungle like as inside! Honestly our service was pretty slow, but our server is really nice and we gave her some grace, seem like she's just really busy with a lot of tables. We ordered a few appetizers off the happy hour and drinks, and really enjoyed every bite! I was really impressed with their quality, every dish we had was flavorful and mouth-watering. I ordered the steak and Fritz in my fiance ordered some of the sliders. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for Quality New Zealand food and adorable chic ambience!

Dunedin is our go to spot for date night when we want a fun lil vibe without the reservation fuss. This go around, we took the parents to try things out🥰 They loved it! Pop had Lamb Burger, while mom had the Cheesesteak. We went with the Blazin Ahi & the Chicken Pot Pie & Spiced Lavender Bubbles (in photos) and 😋😋😋 so delicious!

New review -Took my mom to this New Zealand restaurant before she heads home—mostly at my husband’s strong recommendation. While it’s not my personal favorite, I have to admit their chicken pot pie is amazing! Flaky crust, rich filling, and a generous portion—only available at dinner. Other standouts: the pretzel, perfect if you love lye bread, and the beet & blue cheese salad, great for bold flavors. The lamb skewers were tasty but a bit pricey. The only miss? The fried mushroom sticks—too much batter. Overall, nice spot with a beautiful setting, though the outdoor heaters were a bit intense. Worth a visit, especially for the chicken pot pie! Update: Very nice place to eat New Zealand foods! This time, I ordered a lamb burger, which is so delicious! I love they combined blue cheese, beet roots with the burger, to balance the flavor from lamb. My husband ordered a smash burger, it is very yummy too. We enjoyed our dinner here. Previous: Pie for the Pi Day, yes, we took this holiday pretty serious. I mean, why not. It's always a nice reason to have Chicken Pop Pie! And New Zealand restaurant is the place to go. I heard of this restaurant for a long time and we finally got a chance to try. And we definitely loved it so much. Firstly, I love their big and beautiful outdoor dining environment with fire pits and heaters - feeling nice and warm at a not warm night. Secondly, their foods are so delicious too. The chicken pop pie is the most delicious chicken pop pie I've ever had! So creamy and flavorful, the pastry crust is just soooooo flaky and puffy. Also, I loved my cocktails too. I am a Mai Tai drinker, this one is strong and dangerous, just the way I like it.

Dunedin New Zealand Eats in North Park is an absolute gem. The food was incredible—fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Every dish we tried had its own unique twist, and you could tell everything was made with care. The atmosphere was just as impressive—laid-back, welcoming, and full of good energy. Whether you’re out with friends or looking for a cool spot to unwind, this place hits all the marks. Highly recommend!

If I could give ten stars for the atmosphere, I would. This place was so cool. Though, do be prepared to spend $$. We got 1 appetizer and 2 entrees and our bill was around $80. I got the poutine tots and it was VERY rich. I couldn't even finish because the portion is HUGE! Meanwhile, my partner got the NZ pie and his portions were much smaller. I definitely understand the cost of the foods here, so I'm fine with what we paid, but this would definitely be a place for a special night out for us. The atmosphere is next level. Even the bathrooms were cool

I haven’t ever been to NZ but I am in the minority in liking British/Australian/New Zealand food. Atmosphere Vibes here are top notch, from the lighting to the plants. It’s very nice. Staff Both times I’ve been here, we had to wait to be seated. It’s not that there was a lack of seating, it just seems that staff isn’t that attentive to the front of the restaurant. Negatives aside, the waiters are kind and knowledgeable. Food Brunch is a solid choice. I tried a few bites of the thanksgiving sandwich, which was the burger of the month, and it was decent. The meat pies are flavorful and filling. The fries are a must. The lamb burger was juicy and flavorful. Drinks Strong. The Mai Tai will start off your brunch the right way. Recommend? Yes, I’ll be back.

$16 sangría in a tiny glass packed with ice. I know we have inflation but come back on guys, be reasonable! Service is now definitely a hit or miss also. Sad.

Yelp
This was our first experience, and I didn't know what to expect. We came for a Father's Day Eve dinner. My wife knows I have a cultural fascination with New Zealand, so she found this place and thought we'd give it a shot. I had the bare lamb burger, and it was delicious! We also had the chicken pot pie, lamb skewers, Nelsons chicken sandwich, steak and chips and started with calamari. All around the food was great, each one of my kids finished their food! The only draw back was service wait time. The only table that could take a party of five was outside along the sidewalk, which was fine. But our waitress was probably a little spread thin, as it took her a while to take our entree order and eventually took a while to bring us our check. She was super nice and the experience was over all great, just a little tighter on the service check-ins would have made it perfect.

Yelp
The ambiance is so pleasant. I love all the outdoor seating. It's perfect for a sunny day, but also perfectly comfy on a cold one, thanks to the many heaters. I got the shrimp and grits, which was the best I've had at a restaurant. Most places scrimp on grits which is ridiculous because it's just corn mush. But Dunedin gave me enough to take home leftovers. Brunch was also really good. Excellent tots! The brunch menu is confusing, and I was bummed to find that Dutch pancakes are only served on the weekends. But I'll happily come back for some.

Yelp
Everything was great! I really enjoyed sitting inside, it felt like hanging out in an exotic treehouse! There are big open windows that allow the fresh air in and the decor is all lush greens and wood tones. Our waitress was so busy but she had a great attitude and was upbeat and so friendly. We felt very welcome. We ordered an appetizer and our food. The only very small issue I had was that the appetizer took (what seemed like) forever but the food came right behind it. So idk if they forgot to serve the app or if their ticket times were just off. Not a big deal though. The best part, though, was the food! All of our food was packed with flavor and different textures. It was all so tasty! My wife got the salmon and kale. Due to a medical thing she can't eat raw veggies right now, so she asked for the kale on the side (see the photo). She loved the salmon and I thought the kale salad had a nice light, fresh dressing. I got the chicken pot pie and that was delicious! The veggies were not all mushy and there were big chicken chunks. My brother in law ordered the blazing ahi and said it was full of flavor and had many textures but felt like the wasabi aioli was outshining the ahi. My nephew had the smash burger and he smashed the heck out of it! I didn't even get a picture of it because he ate it so fast! Overall... can't wait to come back and try something else. The burgers looked epic!

Yelp
I really liked this restaurant! I went with a group of people for Wed dinner. Our server was very attentive and sweet. There's a nice outdoor area along with inside seating. Also a bar with bar chairs. Parking was not terrible since it's further from the main street of north park, there is residential parking nearby. In terms of the food, there is a selection of appetizers, entrees and burgers. I ordered the soup and sandwich for a vegetarian option. I thought the portion was generous, the bread was toasted well, and the soup had good flavor. It was nice how the sandwich already included avocado. Personal preference that I would not get the tomatoes in the sandwich again.

Yelp
Thanks to a promo, we've been coming here more often over the past year and it allows us to enjoy North Park even more. The food and service are wonderful, and the vibe and rainforest decor make for a nice hangout. There's always an eclectic selection of music playing covering different genres and decades. The photos are from our several visits. I really like their Lamb Burger and I prefer their fatty fries way more than the skinny fries. Their amazing sauces you have to try; my top two favorites are the wasabi aioli and garlic aioli. Other tasty sauces include red pepper aioli and tomato chutney. Aside from their burgers, other standout entrees are the Steak and Caesar Salad and their Meat Pies. The brunch items we've tried during a pre-2pm visit were hearty, delicious, and satisfying. To drink, I often order the non-alcoholic Electric Berry, which is made with blueberry, lavender, and mint. It is my favorite beverage there (so refreshing!). As for appetizers, I recommend the calamari and Cat's Chili. Their desserts are yummy and perfect for sharing.

Yelp
Went on Tues. which is Happy Hour menu all day. They had some good choices for $10 but I opted for the beet salad and steak. The service was excellent. He made sure that my steak was cooked medium rare and provided great service. It's a cute place in N.P. and parking was difficult as usual even at lunchtime.

Yelp
My husband and I have been to New Zealand and are always looking for pies that match what we ate over there. These did not exactly match, but they were very close. The atmosphere is neat and took us back to NZ.

Yelp
Everything was soooo delicious, favorite part about coming to SD! We got the mimosas, STRONG but yummy, I got the chilaquiles as recommend by waiter and they were so good the perfect spice not soggy at all everything was just perfect about them ! My boyfriend got the waygu burger and he said it was the best burger he's ever had ! The skinny fries whatever seasoning is on them was the best. The decor as well was so fun and it was a perfect brunch !

Yelp
Came here without a reservation and was seated immediately. Our server who was also a bartender was kind and greeted us, however, the service was very slow since it was hard getting his attention. Anyways, my boyfriend and I ended up ordering Bare Lamb Burger and Dutch Cake. The whole entire time, it took approximately 40 minutes for a server to bring out our food to later giving it to the wrong table. From my experience, Dutch cake takes a bit longer to make, however, I think they started making the lamb the same time as the Dutch cake which was a huge mistake. The burger came out cold-warm, the bun beneath was super soggy, and the cheese was starting to harden. Quite disappointing since I think the flavors and juiciness were all there. The meat was also quite small since some of my bites were meatless. As for the Dutch cake, it's different from all the other ones I have tried. The batter was thicker, and it tasted like a normal pancake but in a bigger form. The chicken was delicious, crispy, and juicy on the inside, but like the lamb, it was cold-warm. The berries were fresh and sweet though! Overall, I felt like my experience could've been better. There were so many hiccups prior to us getting our food which led to the food tasting just okay. Service could've also been a lot better. As for the restaurant itself, there were also a lot of mosquitos and bugs so be prepared because it's all outdoor. Parking can be a bit difficult since it's street parking.

Yelp
We hit this place before a show and I was intrigued with the New Zealand flair. I made a reservation, wasn't needed at 4:00 on a Saturday. Staff here had a VERY weird vibe, there wasn't a smile in sight, a lack of feeling of working together, and service overall was lacking. Two men got seated next to us, and ended up leaving because no one even got them drinks. We ordered the pretzel bites with jalapeño cheese, they were good . I ordered the Jefferson and got medium rare. My burger was cooked perfectly but the bottom bun was SO soggy it was falling apart. My daughter got the spicy chicken sandwich which was good, although the chicken was a little dry. Portions of fries were very small, which was a bummer. The steak fries were really good though. Parking was difficult here, the streets are packed. The ambiance is cool, that's kinda all I'll give this spot though.

Yelp
My partner, daughter and I met up with some friends from college for brunch at Dunedin on a Saturday morning. I made a reservation ahead of time since I didn't know what to expect. When we arrived (just a few minutes before 10 a.m.), the restaurant wasn't open or ready to accept guests, so you may not need to make a reservation for right at opening. For our group of 6, they seated us at one of their tables outside. We all ordered different things ranging from the NP breakfast place to the fried chicken breakfast burrito and the dutch pancake with fried chicken. We didn't wait long at for our food to come out and the portions were insane! The dutch pancake was overflowing the plate and the breakfast burrito came with a large cup of tater tots. I thoroughly enjoyed the dutch pancake and breakfast burrito entrees. They both had great flavors and my daughter loved everything we put in front of here. We'd eat here again!

Yelp
Review is for Happy Hour only. We ordered the Fish & Chips and the Lamb Slider & Skinny Fries, and a hot tea. The Skinny fries on the Lamb Slider came out cold, which were replaced with hot ones by our friendly waitress. The fries on the Fish & Chips were thick Steak fries and they were undercooked and mushy, but hot. The Fish portion was tiny, a little bigger than a single fish ginger but the beading was delicious and crisp. The Lamb slider was tiny also but well seasoned and tasted good. The hot tea was a mug with a teabag...$6. Total was about $30 and not a good value at all. I can't see coming back for Happy Hour unless I just ordered the worst items on the Happy Hour menu. Overall, high expectations and low results.

Yelp
Food: 5/5 Drinks: 4/5 Service: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 My partner and I came here for a late lunch/early dinner (3:30-5:30) on a Sunday afternoon. The bar was fairly chill, no rowdy crowds or loud patrons and it wasn't terribly busy. Patrons were mostly couples or groups of 3, in ~30s, 40s, and 50s. It wasn't "empty" by any means, but had our choice of seating at either bar/indoor tables/ or outdoor tables. There are a few tvs set up near the bar. We appreciated that the staff were very proactive about making sure we could watch the football game of our choice (my partner had his team's jersey on). For drinks, we ordered: Apple Butter Toddy 4/5 - a delicious toddy, not too hot and well balanced flavor. Perfect for a chilly night. My only complaint is the apple butter settles at the bottom and makes the last half of the drink a bit gritty. Pumpkin Pie Martini 3.5/5 The first couple of sips I liked this. But it wasn't a drink I cared to finish or order a second one of. It's not sweet, but it definitely has a pumpkin flavor and texture. I think it ended up being a bit too "squash"-like for me, as opposed to "pumpkin pie/spice" feeling and as time went on I didn't love the thick texture and mouthfeel. Basically, it's a pumpkin drink, not a pie drink. Cold Night in Julian 5/5: another hot toddy style drink and this was also delicious. Well balanced, the cider and rum paired really well together and the spices really shined through. We ordered a second one of these. Would highly recommend. My partner also had a couple beers and I commend Dunedin on their draft list. It was pretty extensive and we were thrilled they had a few ambers/reds on the menu too. For food we ordered: Pretzel Bites 5/5: The jalapeño cheese was surprisingly good! I'm not a fan of spicy things but this was refreshing. The jalapeño added good and fresh flavor without being terribly hot. Sausage Roll 5/5: this was exceptional. Order this, yesterday. I will definitely get this again. The sausage has incredible flavor. Strong notes of fennel but not in a bad way at all. Small portion, but it's worth it. Our bartender gave us a pro tip of dipping the sausage roll in the jalapeño cheese and that was definitely a win too. Nelson Chicken Sandwich 5/5: delicious, crispy, and very flavorful. It had a good punch of heat behind it, so don't order unless you like spicy. Chicken Pot Pie 5/5: this was super rich and filling. If you're not terribly hungry I would recommend splitting this with someone. The flavor is incredible and it tastes rather decadent between the puff pastry, cheese, and rich cream sauce. Veggies in the pie weren't overcooked either which was nice. Old photos show it coming with fries and biscuit on the side but updated menu/recipe is just the pot pie with the cheddar biscuit embedded in the top of the pie. Our bartenders were friendly. The crowd wasn't crazy. And parking on a Sunday actually wasn't a nightmare (but we might have gotten lucky, it is street parking only). Their happy hours are frequent, 3-6pm every day, and all day Tuesday. All in all, a hidden gem.

Yelp
My friends and I were excited to pop-in for a quick holiday drink and were not impressed by our experience. The service was very slow and disappointing (it took almost 30 minutes to get our drinks). While waiting for our drinks, we were told it was taking longer because the water for the toddy's we had ordered was cold and they needed to heat it up again. Once the toddy's came out, the drinks were barely lukewarm. The place was decorated nicely for Christmas, but everything else was a turn off. I've had nice experiences here before, but this must've just been a bad night. Hoping for a better time in the future.

Yelp
Great Vibes, Great Eats, Great Deal! Stopped in for lunch in Dunedin with some friends, and WOW, what a first impression! The atmosphere is absolutely on point--super cozy, relaxed, and the kind of vibe that makes you want to linger longer than planned. I went for the $20 lunch deal, and let me just say--phenomenal value! A burger, beer, and fries that didn't just hit the spot--they hit it out of the park. Perfectly cooked, crispy fries (the kind you can't stop eating), and a burger that was juicy and packed with flavor. I also tried the chips and dip, which were a pleasant surprise--simple but seriously tasty! This spot is perfect for hanging out and chatting with friends, whether you're catching up or just soaking in the laid-back energy. Next time, I'll definitely get adventurous with some of the more unique menu items that caught my eye.

Yelp
The happy hour deals were really worth it with $7-$10 options for drinks and appetizers. This review is mainly for happy hour drinks and options except for the smash burger entree which is on the regular menu. We were in a party of 5 with a reservation for 5:00p; the hostess was quick to have us seated in an outside booth with a dedicated heater that kept us warm and comfortable. - Food - 5/5 Onion Dip: the chip and sauce combination was delightful and savory without spiciness; we ended up dipping our fries into it as well. 3/5 Pretzel Bites: maybe I couldn't get much of the jalapeño cheese whenever I dipped it in, but it was the standard pretzel bites, nothing more and nothing less. 4/5 Fish N Chips: the fish breading was nice and crispy, with larger wedge fries for hearty potato action. 5/5 Smash Burger: I had a bite of it and it was a savory burger with a side of skinny fries which was my favorite side item. The skinny fries are nice and crispy, with a slightly sweet pepper seasoning that makes it memorable compared to others. - Drinks - 5/5 Queen Bee: tastes like a pineapple Mai Tai but with tequila, and even though I struggle with tequila, I would definitely order it if I visit again. 3/5 Rose and Old Fashioned: not much to add here, no complaints or unique qualities.

Yelp
Came for happy hour. It wasn't too busy when we got there right at 4. Lots of outdoor space and a good amount of indoor as well. It has an indoor/outdoor feel with the indoor space opening to the outdoors. Dog friendly everywhere in the restaurant which is a huge plus. We just got drinks during hh. Wine options for $7 a glass and they have a few cocktail options at $10. We got a Sauvignon Blanc and a rose and we preferred the white. Much crisper and more acidic which I like. Service was very friendly and quick. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
The service here was great! We went on a Sunday morning where the weather was a tad bit chilly with some sun, which was perfect for the patio. Our servers were friendly and checked in on us periodically to asks if we were doing well or needed anything. The food was also good, we went for the classic breakfast options and were satisfied with them. I did think the Dutch cake was a bit bland without the syrups or berries, but it was still tasty.

Yelp
Cool little spot located in North Park - away from the busy strip. Great spot for some gourmet food and cute drinks! Offers seating outside, inside, and by the bar. No adjacent parking lot so just like most of SD you'll have to park at nearby streets. It is on the pricier side but vibes are great!

Yelp
LOVE Dunedin! It is so beautiful, you really feel like you've stumbled upon a pull over on safari. Every seat is so beautiful, at the bar, porch or outside you are in the jungle of Dunedin. I've been for brunch, dinner and most recently for Happy Hour which was a game changer. Such a huge menu of lunch specials as well as fun cocktails and drafts. Definitely a #1 happy hour spot!

Delicious food in a great setting. My favorite dish was the burrito and prosciutto. My favorite drink was the spring rose. Our server Franky O. did an excellent job! He made us feel welcome, made great recommendations and constantly checked in without making us feel rushed.

Yelp
I came here for a friends birthday and we were a total party of 12. We did have a reservation so there was no wait when we got there and we were seated quickly. The vibe was very cute and the decorations were great. Hummus w/ Pita Bread & Veggies - 10/10, the hummus was delicious and our party loved it. The pita bread was warm as well Fried Calamari - 10/10, definitely another one of our favorites. the calamari was crispy the the spicy sauce paired well with it Meso Tasty Burger - 10/10, this was so good!!! they are known for their burgers so almost everyone in our party got one. The chicken was so tender and the flavors were amazing Lamb Burger - 2/10, this was definitely something that is an acquired taste. The mint jelly + lamb combo was definitely not my favorite and my boyfriend who ordered this ended up switching to the Smash Burger Smash Burger - 9/10, the burger was great, I think it would have been nice to have a bit more flavor but it was a pretty solid burger! Most of our party got this and they all enjoyed it There was also a birthday dessert which was nice, it was a lemony custard kind of thing and I liked it. Service was great as well despite it being busy, I definitely want to come back to try their burger of the month!

Yelp
Can't believe I have been on this road probably 1/2 dozen times and never saw it until I made a reservation. :-) Loved the fun atmosphere, the servers, the food, the decor that makes you feel like being in New Zealand. The sliders, meat pies, Cat's chili, and the huge portion for s'mores were all delectable. For sure will be returning on next night out when in the area.

Yelp
The best chicken pot pie ever. But also, the sweet potatoes fries with blue cheese are outstanding. Love to split a carafe of sangria with the fam. Just a bit pricey. Cool ambiance though, very island vibe. If it's raining it feels like a tropical paradise.

Yelp
I know nothing about New Zealand cuisine - but it seems that on the other side of the equator - anything with the word "pie" in it is part of their food pyramid. I got the NZ meat pie with chips - and you get real chips! None of that shoestring crud - real honest chips!! My only complaint is that they dust them a little too hard with the Old Bay seasoning. The meat pie was excellent - the mixture of beef, cheese, and a crispy pastry was spot on. Interior is eclectic- I'm sure the designs mean something tribal. Great outdoor seating and pup friendly!

Yelp
Visited on 2/1/25. Good vibes, good drinks and great food! What's not to love about this place! Food: - NZ meat pie, always a fan favorite here! So good! Subbed out chips for tots and they were super crispy and delicious! - Sausage rolls with skinny fries were also really good. The fries are super addictive. Perfectly crispy. We couldn't stop eating them! - Lamb Skewers were cooked well and not chewy! Hummus also bomb! Service was medium, they were busy. Which we were ok with. Will definitely be back again to try more things on the menu!

Yelp
We came across spot after knowing a lemonade spot we were looking for no longer exists. This place is super cute and reminds me of Jamaica! We ordered a regular lemonade and blueberry lavender lemonade. The syrups were homemade and delicious! Perfect, refreshing drink for the summer. The pretzel bites with the spicy cheese were delicious but not worth $16. Overall, I would recommend this spot for the ambiance & great service!

Denedin is great! They have a great happy hour and it's so cute inside. The staff is always super friendly and there's never a wait. The calamari is amazing.

Yelp
Such a cute spot that makes you appreciate North Park and being off the strip. We are able to get seats at the bar right away and watch the games on tv. Cordell, our bartender, was attentive and quick! The skinny fries that came with the burger were perfectly cooked, but I love a fatty fry myself and substituted out. Good service, good vibes, and good food!

Yelp
The food did not miss here. We went at opening on a weekday and thoroughly enjoyed every entree. I had the cure with the most delicious fried chicken and gravy. My friend ordered the meat pie and it was delicious. The ambience was great with a beautiful indoor/outdoor feel. Our server didn't miss, we never had to ask for much as she was always there to check in on us. Next time I'm in San Diego I will be back.

Yelp
Service was great and their outdoor seating set up was quite comfortable. We went on a Thursday and they have a special Thursday menu that had cheaper options / smaller sizes. Love trying out the New Zealand food. Would recommend this place.

Yelp
We were a little hesitant about choosing to dine at Dunedin because of conflicting hours listed on their website, phone recording, and Google/OpenTable listings - but I'm so glad we ended up heading down to the restaurant anyway. We arrived around 8:45pm with the expectation that the restaurant closed at 10pm (as listed on their website) only to find out that they close at 9pm. While we were initially a little panicked about needing to order immediately, we were greeted with a kind and patient reassurance from our server, Alexis, that our order would be accommodated when we were ready, even if it was a little past the last call time. We were happy to find out that we arrived during the late night happy hour window, so we opted to order several items from that menu. We ordered the pretzel bites - YUM. We also ordered the chicken slider and the hog & heffer slider, both of which came with a generous serving of perfectly crispy thin fries. When we couldn't decide between ordering the turkey chili or the meat pies, Alexis suggested that if we wanted to try both, we could order a bowl size of the chili (which was not listed on the menu) rather than the full order, and the meat pies. We opted to for that route and were happily surprised at the bowl portion of chili! As far as taste goes - SO glad we got both. I also indulged in a cocktail from the happy hour menu - the Queen Bee was absolutely delicious. I opted to upgrade to mezcal in place of tequila and loved the smokey flavor against the herbal chartreuse. Highly recommend making this upgrade if you like mezcal! The ambiance was pleasant, great for groups and conducive to having a conversation without having to shout! We were sat in a very cute in an indoor / outdoor area with lots of foliage, ambient lighting, and contemporary music. This would have been 5 stars, but I dropped one star for the slight stress of having to order immediately and the inability to get a clear answer as to what time the restaurant closes. The phone recording also didn't work - when prompted to press 1 to speak to someone, it instead repeated the menu. The phone never rang. :( In all, I'd definitely return and highly recommend their happy hour. Friendly and attentive service, delicious food, great pricing.

Yelp
Great Weekend brunch spot! Amazing Vibe, good food. Street parking can be bit challenging at times.

Yelp
We finally tried Dunedin NZ after some of our families kept raving about it. We didn't have the time for a sit down dinner. So, we did the to-go route. I was quite impressed with how quickly the food were prepared and ready for pickup. We were less than 10 minutes away but the food ordered (fish & Chips, Wagu burger, meat pies, etc.) were starting to lose their crispiness (especially the fish & Chips and the potato fries). At least all items were flavorful and enjoyable. We will definitely try a sit down dinning the next time we are in the mood for Dunedin NZ.

Yelp
I came here for happy hour. The service was ok, and food ok but I found portions for sliders and other items small. Not great value but a cool spot if you're looking for a unique ambiance and decor. There's lots of cool spots close by so worth a stop if you're car hopping.

Yelp
I came here for a small bite with my friend on a Saturday afternoon. We got seated right away and immediately I loved the interior. The indoor and outdoor seating was connected, and there was a bar area inside. My friend and I wanted to share food, so we ordered one salad and a drink and the staff were able to split the food in two separate portions for us, which was really nice and much appreciated. The food was also really good! We got a salad but it was light and flavorful, which was perfect with our refreshing pina colada drink. I'd definitely come back here. Staff was great and food was good!

Yelp
Dutch pancake topped with fruits was yummy, a nice sweet way to start the morning. It was a huge size so I think sharing is a good move especially to avoid food comas after. Comes with 2 chicken that were nicely seasoned and breaded. The server was sweet turning the lamp on for us. Overall ambiance is a nice place for a morning brunch

Yelp
Had late brunch/lunch here on a Saturday and parking was hard! But we only had to wait a few minutes for a table. Things still seemed pretty busy after peak lunch time. They were running pretty low on lots of things like forks, but they offered disposable ones. The service was friendly, not fast but not super slow or anything. The food had great portion sizes! Some dishes were pretty good some were just ok. Stand out of the day might have been the portobello fries! The decor was nice and had a nice outdoorsy vibe. Glad we finally tried this place out, not sure I would brave parking on a Saturday again for it though.

Yelp
We came here for dinner, but we got there a minute before their happy hour ended, and our server was kind enough to still give us a deal on drinks and apps. Good wine, beer, and cocktail options, and a good selection of discounted apps. The pretzel bites were super buttery and had a great cheese dip. The dinner menu has a good selection of pub fare and other classics, with a couple of vegetarian options (but not many). I got the curry pies, and while they were not heated up enough for the insides to be super warm and the pastry to be cooked through but the flavor was tasty - it reminded me of Pop Pie, which is the best curry pie in SD. Loved the variety of fries and tots though, that was a great complement to the meal. There is a good variety of indoor and outdoor seating, both of which have a fun vibrant ambiance. Looking forward to coming back to take advantage of their brunch specials and enjoy sitting outside in the sunshine!

Yelp
Great spot for some hearty food and easy drinks! Though we came on a busy Saturday afternoon, we were able to be seated without a reservation. Service, though a bit slow as it was busy, was very friendly and welcoming. I love the vibe of both the indoor and outdoor seating of this place, relaxing and perfect for a sunny weekend afternoon. As for the food, my group got the Prosciutto and Burrata to share. The buttery toast that came with it paired nicely with the burrata, arugula and prosciutto. For my entree I got the NZ Meat Pie and Chips, which were amazing, hearty, and filling! I got it per our server's recommendation and it didn't disappoint.

Yelp
I don't know if they wrote my phone number wrong but I walked up and was told 45 minutes. They took my number and said it would text me. I never received a text and waited an hour in my car. Decided to just leave and go somewhere else rather than go back the hostess wasn't the most welcoming. Pretty disappointed.

Yelp
Amazing food, service, and drinks. Please don't trust the negative reviews just eat here and judge for yourself. The owner was our server. Get the crepe and chicken dish at brunch it's bananas!!

Yelp
Super cute outdoor seating options is what made us stop here. Enjoyed a big, tasty, colorful avocado toast. Which the bread has been toasted. Great service in a super setting on a sunny day.

Yelp
Dunedin in North Park has quickly become one of my go-to spots. I've been here a few times now, and every visit has been a hit! The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is lively and fun! Perfect for a casual dinner or brunch with friends or family. I have been able to try the Cheesesteak and the Tamale Steak Benedict so far. Both great. The Cheesesteak was very flavorful and felt unique. The Benedict has definitely been the star so far. It is one of the best Benedicts I have had. They even have a great mimosa deal on the weekends for brunch.

Yelp
Came here without a reservation and we were able to be seated quite quickly, but unfortunately that was the only thing that was quick in terms of service that day. Putting down the orders, waiting to get the food, and getting the check at the end took longer than we hoped for. At least the server was nice and our waters and menus came out on time. I ordered the bare lamb burger, which came out the same time as the dutch cake and chicken. It took about 40 minutes for all the food to come out, and both came out at the same time, but I suspect the burger was done cooking a lot sooner because by the time it was on our table it was a bit soggy and the bun was wet with all the sauce and oil. I still enjoyed the taste with the mixture of sweet, tangy, and meaty lamb taste. Came with a lot of fries with solid sauces. The Dutch cake with chicken was enormous, served on a cutting board with a giant "pancake" with a bunch of fruit and pieces of fried chicken. The chicken was amazing, crispy on the outside, and not that dry on the inside, and tasted great with sweet syrup and berries, a perfect combo of sweet and savory.
