Campaign FEC Filings Reveal How Much Democratic Candidates Are Spending on Food | Eater

"A widely known coffee-and-doughnut chain where the Sanders campaign spent only $353.57 in January — a small fraction of its pizza and other food spending, and notably modest given the regional association between the candidate and New England brands." - Gary He

Dunkin’ Donuts Is Switching From Foam to Paper Cups for the Environment | Eater

"Known for its iconic foam cups, this chain is phasing them out in favor of double-walled paper cups — a transition announced in 2018 and accelerated with a rollout replacing foam across New England by December 1, with the new cups arriving elsewhere soon. The company is running a campaign to help long-time customers adapt to losing the foam’s insulating benefit for iced drinks and notes the new cups are certified to the Sustainable Forestry Initiative Standard. The change is framed as both a business response to local foam bans and an environmental move, but experts point out that paper cups are typically plastic-lined and can be just as likely to end up in landfills, may have higher manufacturing impacts than foam, and in some circumstances foam could outperform other options; whether the switch will be a net environmental benefit remains unclear." - Jaya Saxena

I live off of Dunkin and stop here nearly every day for my coffee. The staff always works hard & have things out in a timely manner despite how busy it constantly is and they all have a good attitude! Love this location!

Google
I recently went through the drive up. I challenged the team to make a specialized Cappuccino. One simple quad shot, vanilla, dry Cappuccino hot. Never cold. As I pulled up to widow. The woman Barista spoke: “We typically don’t make dry cappuccino’s. I was the only one that knows how to make it.””so I took the liberty of I make it.” I thanked her so greatly and I drank this wonderful cappuccino the way I like it. Thanks to you lady I give you two thumbs up for such an awesome Cappuccino. The best one yet. 👍👍 right here in Farmington NM

Google
me & my sister go to Dunkin all the time , and they are always rude, I work at Starbucks so I’ve always been so nice to them because what if they are having a bad day? but I go there all the time and they are always so mean yesterday I ordered a iced tea and got a latte instead and I had just asked it is possible to just get the tea instead and the lady at the window SIGHED in front of me and gave me attitude and basically shoved the iced tea in my hand and slammed the window , mind you I didn’t get charged a tea I got charged a latte, I’ve could’ve been way more complicated and gotten a refund and charged the right amount but no I asked politely, they just need to be more polite here. :(

Today I came in with my electric scooter, was trying to find a spot to park it to order some food and one of the employees was sorta rude saying that they needed the space in the open lobby to have their boxs placed for truck.. Overall todays experience isn't common..

Google
Nope I'm done. You ignore the people at the counter. If I go through the drive through, yall never add my splenda. I just had to go in to add my own for the second day in a row. I'll pay the extra at Starbucks. At least they're competent.

Very disappointed that this location wasn’t participating in the free coffee for nurses for Nurses Day on 5/6. Tells me everything I need to know about the management of this location and I will no longer be a customer. Support & appreciate your local nurses!

The food and coffees are fresh and to order. Service is short and sweet due to the volume of customers. Inside always clean as well as the bathrooms.

Google
every time i get cold foam it robs me 1/3 of my drink! also no "light ice" bc the drinks are so called automatically dispensed... i would like to customize my coffee the way i want it to be, thats what im paying for right!?

Yelp
THIS IS AN APPLE FRITTER REVIEW Specifically went to Dunkin' for my Apple Fritter cravin'. Staff were 100% top notch and the store was impeccably clean. The Apple Fritter was pricey but larger than most. After eating half, I did this review: First thing I noticed was that famous Dunkin' donut smell - Yum! Big donut with nice craggy crevices and perfect glaze. BUT... no noticeable apple pieces whatsoever.

Yelp
This is an average Dunks. Like most that are outside of the New England area, they fall right in line with what you'd expect. The coffee & drinks are made and served well. The food seems about average. The only knock I have against this one (and many DDs outside of NE) is that the staff always seem so miserable. There was one young girl there who was very sweet and seemed to be having a good day. I had to stay back after my order in the drive thru for a couple extra napkins & she came to the window to see what I needed. I don't think that folks working there sometimes realize how much difference a change in the pitch of your voice or even a small smile can make.

Yelp
Slowest service ever. I waited 30 minutes to go through the drive in. Unfortunately once you're in the drive thru you can't get out so I was forced to wait and wasted half an hour of my day.
google avatar

Jose M.

Yelp
Why is their dining area still closed? Having to wait in line in the drive thru for donuts is ridiculous! I hate going through the drive thru at any place, especially when there are already 8-10 cars in line. Pretty ridiculous!
google avatar

Yelp
They're okay... just don't hit them up at 5 am! The young lady at the service counter was in a miserable mood. She was the only one there it looked like.. two others came in after 5 but they were not smiling either! They had a few bagels and only plain cheese and the veggie spread. Come in now.. if your 24 hours get your act together. Only 4 bagels in the bin is not good either. Service was slow on the account that the lady was by herself before 5 am. Even if you go at their peak times , service is slow. Oh well what do you do with only one DD in town. Wait!! Go to Johnni O's!

Yelp
Rude staff at the front register. After I purchased coffee in the drive thru. I decided last minute i wanted a donut so I walked inside to get a donut. I also asked for more creamer for my coffee because it was super strong on that day. The lady at the register proceeded to check me out and rudely told me we can't be giving you creamer like that. I was taken back. I bought coffee and wanted more creamer, why cant i decide how my coffee should taste? I walked out and am never going back. For such a small town and the competition with Starbucks, & Durango joes.. you would think she would have some better customer service skills. I'd give them no stars if that were an option. Spudnuts will be my donut shop of choice now also.

Alexander J.

Yelp
Bugs in the donut case and in the foyer. Coffee is bland and watered down. Employees attitude are just as nasty as the shop. I ordered a dozen donuts and had a side of gnats to go with it. Horrendous. I will stick to our local and trusted Durango Joes.

Jacob L.

Yelp
Lobby is still closed! Drive up line is insane. Cant use the app, cant walk in and pickup.

Johnny M.

Yelp
The lady that toook our order was not friendly and sounded like she didn't want to work and when we asked for no coconut donuts she gave us 2 coconut doughnuts and I was allergic to coconuts she should be FIIIRREEDDD!!!!!!

Yelp
It really says something about a town when the Dunkin Donuts is practically a five star rated restaurant. My goodness... I have lived in Farmington for 2 years and every time I have visited this place I've gotten poor service (one time they accidentally made me a large coffee instead of the medium that I requested and I had to wait while I watched them pour the large coffee into a medium cup. Really?!). I'm not sure why it's necessary to be rude or to act like I'm interrupting something you could be doing other than, oh, your job, but I guess I should lower my expectations. Anyway, if you want a coffee and a decent donut and you're driving through town, you won't be disappointed by the standard Dunkin fare... you just might want to brace yourself for the staff. Just saying... There's also a Starbucks (drive thru) and a Durango Joe's Coffee not too far if you wanted friendly service and even better coffee. If you're only here for a brief visit -- make sure you go to Durango Joe's and skip the donuts.

Yelp
As any donut fan will tell you, Dunkin' Donuts are the absolute best in the USA. Best variety, freshest ingredients, etc. However, for those of us on the West Coast, there are NO Dunkin' Donuts within driving distance :-( This is very sad indeed. When I stumbled onto Owen's donut shop... okay, actually, I called corporate and they recommended Owen's shop as one of the best within 1 day shipping distance to Southern California. I was so happy, as I had grown up with Dunkin' Donuts and had missed them terribly. Roughly 10 years ago, I started having Owen ship me donuts, a dozen or so at a time. He perfected the shipping technique, using flat cups, the exact size of the donuts, to insulate each one within the box. When I opened my overnight package and pulled the donuts out, they looked exactly like they would had I walked into the store and purchased them on the spot. It was amazing, and I've been ordering Dunkin' Donuts this way ever since. I'm not sure you'll find any DD store to do what Owen does, and I'm 100% positive that you won't find a nicer owner out there. So, if you want some Dunkin' Donuts but you don't have one around, and FedEx comes to your town, then just call Owen and he'll set you up! If you've never had a Dunkin' Donuts donut, then, well, let's just say, you've never had a donut!

Yelp
One word: Outlets! First of all, this place can get pretty pricey, and they don't offer free refills on their sodas. You pretty much have to buy another cup, luckily the cashier behind the counter let me reuse my cup, i didn't want to waste cups. They offer free WiFi, which is nice, and they have long surge protector outlet plugs on every wall, even the small wall behind the soda dispenser. They were also nice enough to let me hang out for over an hour, with my large cup of soda. The internet connection was very slow, but hey, it's free. So I took it.

Yelp
Friendly staff at the register. We got here after the morning rush. Sat down and enjoyed our donuts and coffee, while on wifi. Perfect way to start my birthday morning.

Yelp
I must say , after coming here quite a few times, tonight was a disappointment. There was an elderly woman named Elouise working the drive thru. She was very hateful and had poor customer service skills. Her greeting immediately indicated that. I asked her to wait a minute for me to look at menu, then she took off. I was ready to order a minute or two later and she seemed aggravated and had a poor disposition when i let her know I was ready. I dont know if I'll return after this experience but i hope management sees this review and addresses the issue.

Yelp
The best place ever! I love DD. The best coffee, donuts, even the sandwiches. No matter which DD I go to, all their products are so good. Consistent as well, from state to state. I always look forward to stopping in.

Yelp
We've been to a few DD's in New Mexico where good service was a chore to find. Fortunately, this location isn't among those. We came here three days in a row and found friendly staff, eager to take our order and get it in our hands as quick they could. And, when it comes to DD's what more can you ask for? This is affordable, chain food and we all know what to expect from their donuts, bagels, muffins and coffee. It's always the service that's in question, which isn't an issue here.

Yelp
i'm no donut expert. i love dunkin donuts. my donut experience consist of safeway, bashas, and the bakery on campus of the university that i attended. and for the record i hate crispy cremes. since i live and work in shiprock, nm i don't get to choose my donuts because they are brought in from those who commute into work from farmington to shiprock. thanks to my awesome co-workers.

Yelp
Great donuts and very tasty breakfast sandwiches. I'm also a big fan of the coffee which is a great deal for the price.

Melissa G.

Yelp
My kids love Dunkin Donuts. It's always a special treat and they love being able to pick out their own donuts. They have a great selection. Only downfall is that they are a bit pricey for a dozen donuts.

Thad H.

Yelp
I would give this place no stars if I could. I have gone to dunkin for 8 or 9 months for donuts for my staff. This morning one of the donuts had a bite out of it. That is disgusting, will not go there again, do not recommend you do either

Norma F.

Yelp
.the coffee is SCALDING HOT.it is almost scary to drink it,as we value our tongues.I have complained of this,to no avail,so have quit buying it!
