"Run by the fourth generation of the owners’ family, this restaurant is set in an enviable position on the ground floor of the Dunmore House Hotel with views out over Clonakilty Bay. Tasty, modern dishes showcase locally sourced produce, including some from their own organic kitchen garden." - Michelin Inspector

Had a meal and few drinks here but did not stay in hotel. The food was delicious and the drink was great too. The staff are very friendly and the service was great -great value for money I thought. The restaurant location is amazing with a beautiful view over Clonakilty bay. Will definitely be back!

The hotel is exceptional in a number of ways. First of all, the customer service and personalised attention to detail was just fantastic. The staff went out of their way to facilitate/anticipate requests. The atmosphere was lovely. It is a family-owned hotel and they do check with guests to see that they are comfortable etc. The food was absolutely superb! There was a fabulous choice for breakfast and the Michelin-recommended restaurant and bar food were excellent. I also noticed that a lot of the guests were repeat visitors, which is always a good sign. The entire house was spotless and extremely comfortable. The hotel setting is also very attractive, with lovely sea views. I really didn’t expect it to be so good and highly recommend it.

What a fantastic hotel, the views, staff and food|are all as good as each other. Booked it last min and Aine could not have been more helpful, she was superb. The staff in the bar and restaurant weee amazing especially Adrian, what a great guy. The heartbeat of the place. Dinner was excellent as was breakfast. Whatever the occasion business or pleasure this is one of the best hotels you will find in Ireland. When you have the owners clearing tables and on site at 10pm it’s more than your average run of the mill hotels, they care about the customer here and it shows. Thank you all in Dunmore House Hotel, continued success in what you do. Plenty more hotels could take a leaf out of your book and see how it’s done right. 10/10

My wife and I got married at Dunmore house. You have to see and experience the location to truly appreciate how stunning it is, we were blessed with good weather which only enhanced it. The quality of food is really high standard. The staff are TOP class, we got loads of our guests saying how nice and accommodating they are. Peter and Carol are SO good at what they do. We had to cancel in2020, and they were magnificent with us. They have hands on approach and lead by example. If you are planning a trip to west cork you won’t go wrong picking Dunmore house to either stay or dine or both. And as a wedding venue, you won’t go wrong with Dunmore house.

Such a beautiful escape to the sea! Dunmore was cosy, clean, friendly and in a superb location by the sea - waking up to the ocean is really a treat. Everything we needed was available and the staff were so friendly and helpful! The fine dining was beautiful and the fire created such a cosy atmosphere. This is our second time here and we would stay again!

Went a couple of times for lunch to this hotel during our recent holiday in beautiful County Cork. We’d been to eat at the hotel on previous holidays hence the reason for returning. The location is fantastic and the service has always been excellent. Every member of the staff is an ambassador for the hotel, none more so than Adrian. Truly, a gentleman. He encapsulates everything that’s great about the hotel. My wife, daughter and I (all Scottish) feel proud to have met him. A man from Kerry. Thank you, sir.

I love this hotel. I stayed in a pet friendly room which had a terrace, ground floor , and a sea view. They have developed the gardens across the road so you can access the sea for your swim. They grow their own lettuce, chard, kale and even asparagus. The breakfast and dinner in the bar were very good but the BEST thing is the people the staff and the family who own and run the hotel who make sure you , and your pet, are comfortable and happy.

Yelp
TL;DR - Nice hotel, great food, amazing views. My parents have raved about Dunmore House for years - although they live in the UK, they visit Clonakilty once a year and always come here at least once during their visit. Since I was with them on this occasion, a visit was inevitable. We were lucky with weather, and I mention this because if you're lucky too then the views are spectacular out to sea and across to Inchydonney beach. The interior is lovely and we were greeted by a roaring fire. We sat in the bar area which was cosy, although I thought some of the art on the wall was a little odd! To eat, I had the beef lasagne which was a special of the day and was delicious. My parents both had burgers which they said from previous visits were known to be great and they were very satisfied once again. We were also with a couple of friends, one of whom had the veggie fish and chips (halloumi in a seaweed batter) and loved it... the other had lamb shank and it's fair to say I had food envy - you could see the meat falling off the bone. For dessert I went for the orange, carrot and almond cake with hazelnut ice cream which was sublime. I've been googling how to make it myself ever since!

Yelp
It seems I have come at a time when Dunmore House has been renovated because the place looks immaculate with modern fittings. I can still smell the paint so that's a giveaway too ;) I had the best nights sleep in a while as the beds were so comfortable. I even booked myself an extra night. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. It has a real family run feel. Breakfast was amazing too. There was a cereal buffet and a menu which I ordered pancakes which were delicious. The next morning I had the full Irish. You can't go to Clonakilty and not have their famous pudding ;) I can't speak highly enough about this place. Spectacular views, peace and quiet. Perfect stay for me!

Yelp
Beautiful location, just can't beat it. Service is fine, could be a lot better. Food isn't great, and a bit if a ripoff (afternoon tab is essentially half of one kind of sandwich and a scone for €20!)

Yelp
I've been at weddings in this hotel twice now. It has a spectacular view of the sea which really adds to your visit. The food is consistently good. Its a small hotel, and so if there's a wedding there, you tend to have the whole hotel. Its very comfortable and the staff will do whatever they can to accommodate the craic you're having!
