This was our first and last visit. A big stone fireplace greets you as you enter. It's nice. The music selection is top tier! We listened to Kris Kristofferson, Stevie Ray, and Barbara Mandrell, to just name a few.
The flooring is interesting to walk on. It's wood plank printed carpet. Yes, I said printed carpet. It's dark, very low dim lights, and that makes it hard to read the menu. The ambience is cozy, I suppose. The mesquite fire for cooking steaks fills the air. The place was clean and has plenty of seating.
There is a bar area and a very well stocked bar, and a large, accommodating dining area.
We waited in the front for several minutes until I went and found someone to seat us.
Then it took even longer to get waited on just for drinks. We didn't even get refills until right before our food came.
It's Thursday at almost 3 pm And they are not busy.
We ordered the new York strip steak and steak finger dinners, with baked potatoes, 2 glasses of teaa, and a very generic tasting root beer. The steak was tender and potatoes a good size. However, they do not season anything. We had to salt and pepper everything. And they served a basket with 3 rolls when our food came. I don't know if that was supposed to come with, or come before our meal, (like Texas Roadhouse or Saltgrass). They were room temperature and tasted fine.
Our service got slightly better after our food arrived, but not great.
For 3 people, it was $65. I'm not impressed with their service, or their lack thereof.
We will drive the extra 15 miles to go to Saltgrass next time.
