Duo

Our dinner was marvelous. The service was gracious and attentive. We ate ala carte because neither of us thought we could eat a full tasting menu. We ultimately ordered two starters; a main and dessert. And of course wine. We were pleasantly surprised by the chef's "welcome" offerings four amazing bites each with a unique taste. Our first starter was an oyster Gelato topped with cavier and two small crepes shaped like oyster shells. It was delicious. Our second starter was a a warm broth with small burrata filled ravioli in a lite tomato broth. Very tasty. The main was crusted lamb chops with vegetables. The lamb was perfectly done and the herb crust enhanced the flavor of each bite. The dessert was chocolate mouse with a shot of a lo al liquor. All in all a great dining experience. Highly recommend.

Me and my son ended up at Duo for a late lunch. Not directly planned but we looked at ratings and distance from where we were after having walked around Leece for sightseeing. We were close to alone in the resturant for our lunch just 1 other table was occupied. That should not be a turnoff, our experience was truly good as food and service was realy excellent. The head chef, Fabiano Viva explained the dishes like you could expect, but with an additional warm touch of history and his own childhood memories. It all made it feel so more personal and human. We decided for the larger tasting menu that took us 2.5hours to go through. Simply great choice and value for money even though it was 95 eur a person for the food. We did not take any wine pairing but one of us opted for some individually recommended wines that worked well with the food. Bottom line, we were plesantly surpised about the resturant and canI truly recommend it. I have been fortunate to have experienced various Michelin resturants over the years and I would say Duo is worty to obtain a star. Am attaching pictures of some of the dishes.

What an incredible experience! Duo truly deserves all the praise it receives. The food was outstanding and uniquely flavorful. Each dish told its own story, and the plating was absolutely breathtaking! The creativity displayed was remarkable. The service was excellent, and the restaurant is conveniently located near the historic center, making it easily walkable from many hotels. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance. While the prices are on the higher side, the culinary experience makes it worthwhile. Congratulations to the team!

I really enjoyed the food and the comfort of the restaurant in it’s entirety. The service is something the restaurant prides itself on. The bragola, the wine, the oyster, the pickled zucchini, the fried lentils were amazing. The date with the semi-soft cheese and bourbon pearls was one of the best bites of food I’ve had in my recent memory — I wish I was exaggerating. Don’t let my wine glass get empty next time! Thank you, Sebastian and company!

Congratulations to Duo for a wonderful dining experience. From our welcome arrival the service everything was perfect. Paola our chef treated us to a wonderful journey starting with a tasty and surprising almost like lentil popcorn. The grisini, seeded bread and our oyster gelato and caviar starter was exquisite and took us all by surprise. Our dorato fish melted in our mouths and the lamb was beautifully cooked. A must to try is the spectacular sea desert with a caper and anchovy meringue , lemon mousse, caper dust and basil cream…. One of the most unique desserts I have eaten. There were 13 of us and we all left amazed and very contented. Thank you so much to the Duo kitchen team who smiled and waved through the glass window in the kitchen. which was also a lovely touch to see the team at work. Duo is a must to try out side the touristy Lecce restaurants in the old city centre.

The best restaurant in two weeks in Puglia. Exceptional original local cuisine, exceptionally executed. We visited more than 10 Michelin restaurants throughout the region. Compliment!

You do get the choice to order Ala Carte though. Each course was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Such creativity and attention to detail were truly impressive. They were very respectful of dietary issues as well. The service was equally top-notch—attentive, but never intrusive. What stood out the most was the personal touch: the chef came out to greet each table, which made the night feel even more special. The ambiance is minimalist, but it complements the focus on the food perfectly. If you're looking for a culinary experience that will blow you away, I highly recommend dining here. This is more than just a meal; it's a work of art. What an evening!

Zero if possible! Booked before we left the UK hoping for a lovely anniversary meal, but hugely disappointed. Staff were courteous but seemed like “rabbits caught in the headlights” when we politely returned our starter of very chewy tough octopus, declining the offer of a replacement because we had little confidence in the alternative. My wife’s main course (herb crusted lamb) had a slab of gristle through both pieces so we quietly complained again and decided to leave, but when paying the bill the server seemed to have no conception of how to handle a dissatisfied customer! The bill was reduced by the cost of the starters and main course but we were still expected to pay for the wine (which we didn’t finish), bread which I’m convinced was old and stale. Plus an additional local fee of some sort. Really very, very disappointing! We will not return!

This is a fantastic restaurant with an ambitious chef. Very friendly staff and great food. Affordable and yet high quality tasting menus with themes that you can choose from: earth, sea or home/Puglia. All around 40-50€ with 5 or 6 courses. Also a great selection of wines. Definitely recommend to go there!
