We enjoyed our dinner. I read about the chef and I was looking for light food. Nothing heavy. We went to see a Broadway play and it was a fantastic experience. The octopus, Cesar salad, I ordered the whole fish, my husband the steak, dessert was amazing too. Happy clients. The restaurant is on the top of a hotel, which I didn’t care bc the food was fantastic.

Kris at Duomo51 made our experience unforgettable. He was warm, attentive, and offered great menu recommendations. His passion for his work truly stood out. Highly recommend asking for Kris if you visit!

Came to this restaurant on a busy Sunday and had no reservation but we were tended to and seated immediately. I recommend ordering the grilled calamari appetizer and the salmon entree - both were delicious and cooked to perfection! It’s clear that the chef knows how to prepare seafood dishes. I somewhat regret my choice of ordering the carbonara as the sauce was too thick for my liking but the flavor was good. I’ll definitely come back another time to try the gnocchi with shrimp! Good drinks, nice view, great atmosphere!

(UPDATE at the bottom) The restaurant is located in a hotel. Why is this important? Because our experience wasn't good. First, the food is great. Pasta, milanesa and beef tartar were awesome. But the service wasn't. It felt like the waiter was kicking us out. He even told us he was having a "lot of patience" with us. I still don't understand what that means. The kids liked the french fries so we ordered another, they got mad because we needed to ask for it at the same time. The waiter said it was the kitchen that got pissed but what I feel is like?the were kicking us out because they had to make room and service the hotel guests. If you are staying and the hotel maybe the customer service is different. The waiter ruined (or maybe the kitchen as he said) ruined our experience. Felt like they were doing us a favor. Neither polite or friendly. Awful experience. Update: The manager contacted us and they said they will make all the possible to make us feel welcome again. I really appreciate his kind words and they took corrective measures to prevent this happen again.

Chris our waiter was wonderful attentive and very pleasant. The grilled octopus was so tasty cooked perfectly. I recommend the Midtown cocktail! I also ordered the tartufo. My friend had the truffle risotto both delicious!

Food was decent. The bread was stale, but good flavors in the pastas. The views were incredible, of Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall! Service by Chris was great. He was expedient and helpful, and was perfect at managing our time before our show.

Last night dinner at Duomo51 was amazing! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was excellent. For appetizers, we had the grilled calamari and the avocado artichoke salad--both were fresh and tasty. For my main course, I tried the pistachio and mushroom fusilli, which was delicious. We loved everything we ordered! The view is fantastic--you can see the Christmas tree and St. Patrick's Cathedral, perfect for taking beautiful pictures. Definitely a great spot for dinner!

It's located inside a hotel on the 7th floor, the views are spectacular. We arrived at almost 5pm and made a reservation ahead of time since it was 9 of us. We were quickly seated as soon as we arrived. Service was great, they had a few people helping us. They checked on us frequently. They take the orders for appetizers and main course at the same time. We had the eggplant, the calamari (it isn't fried so the texture is a bit different), and the burrata. My favorite was the burrata it's so good but cheese is always a good option in my opinion. For my main course I had the lobster ravioli which wasn't on the menu but I guess one of their specials for that day. It wasn't ok, the lobster that was placed around my ravioli was hard so probably overcooked. Some others in the group ordered steaks including the Ribeye and Tomahawk. The ribeye in my opinion looked better because the Tomahawk looked like it was mainly a huge bone and a lot of fat on some of the meat. It did taste good though (at least the piece I tried). They also have a truffle menu if that's your thing, request that menu from them. They seem to have lunch specials during the week days until a certain time, they have a fix menu for a 3 course meal for about $40. Overall it was a nice time. I wasn't blown away by the food but if you're in the area then maybe you can huge it a try.

Came for dessert as it was ok. Located up on the 7th floor, the location is nice. Service was friendly and timely. Had the cappucino which was 3/5 but with good steamed milk. For the tiramisu, 2/5, another reviewer mentioned lots of cream which I agree with. Not much lady finger but overall was a large piece. For dessert, an ok place to come and try at least once.

Pretty good food and polite staff. Got a salad with goat cheese for apps which was really good. For mains we got the marinara pasta which was okay and the truffle risotto was a bit average.

I'm staying at the Doubletree for work and had a Diamond credit so decided to try this place out as it's on the 7th floor of the hotel. I was quickly seated and provided with a tiny glass of water. I ordered Eggs Benedict with spinach that also came with breakfast potatoes and an espresso. The food runner sat my food down and walked off. I would have liked some Tabasco for my potatoes but when I saw the three small cubes, I figured it wasn't worth it. Once I was done, it took a minute to get a refill of my water and the check. The atmosphere and view were nice. But overall this is a mediocre choice for a $35 breakfast.

This is a really good place and perfect for our anniversary dinner. I stumble a post on IG about two months ago around June and saved the post but haven't really look into their reviews until a month ago before my trip. Made reservation the moment I saw the pictures of the view of St. Patrick Cathedral and truffle menu. This place is located on the 7th floor of a Hilton Hotel, nothing weird, you just walk straight in the lobby to the back where the elevator is located and pressed the 'up' button. We dressed up business casual, since this was our anniversary date and the vibes, were vibing. Love the entrance and we got there with 15 minutes to spare before our RSVP time, and the host was wonderful about it. With in minutets we were seated at our table. We didn't get the view but I think we didn't mind because the FOOD was impecable! (Maybe next time we can get a seating out in the patio but this was a more intimate dinner) We planned to share the meals since we were going to eat more and wanted to save room for dessert and I think it was the best move. For appetizer we got: POLPO ALLA GRIGLIA: grilled octopus, chickpea cream, arugula. 8.3/10 Perfectly charred and not over cooked on the octopus and the chickpea cream was a great texture with a fresh bite of arugula. No so famous words of Bart Kwan from Bart & Geo vlogs when he took his wife out to a restaurant in Vegas, stating that if a restaurant has a dish named after it, GET IT! Ya'll let me tell you something about the DUOMO51 SALAD. 100/10 Yes, it sounds like something you can make at home but that lemon dressing was just PERFECT!! Ties everything together with the toasted walnuts, goat cheese, pear and blueberry. Especially for this summer night, we wanted something refreshing and not too heavy since we were going to eat CARBONARA AL TARTUFO after this. Main dish: CARBONARA AL TARTUFO (see picture below) the server came by and started to shave the truffle on to the dish and this was my first time having truffle and not the hot sauce bottle kind. It may look a little but it was perfect for the both of us since this dish was a bit on the heavy side, it's not a bad thing but omg. I love it. Definitely, get this if you're here because this dish was so creamy and not going to lie, if they gave us another basket of bread, I would just clean the rest of it with bread.

It's been awhile since I've been back here. Basically since I moved back west and was so glad to see this place was still open. They still serve a lentil tomato dip with more basic bread. The pasta is what you should come for. I definitely got my ride or die fish, the dried fish roe pasta, extra fish roe. It was fantastic and I could have even used more fish roe. Husband really like his Ragu and subbed for a fresh parpadelle pasta. I would def try to sub pasta for fresh made versions where possible. Their olive oil martini was also tasty but a bit sweet. Served with casteveltrano olives. IYKYK. Make the stop. Easier to get into for a weekend Italian night. Our server was perfect. Attentive but not intrusive. Really outstanding service.

Exceptional exceptional exceptional. 10s across the board. Duomo 51 is an upscale Italian restaurant with a beautiful terrace and rooftop atmosphere and panoramic views. Duomo 51 is one of the most beautiful restaurants in the city and has a unique view of St Patrick's cathedral and radio city music hall in the area of Rockefeller center. Reservations are highly recommended. Food quality is superb. The highest of quality of food. It serves a majority of Mediterranean cuisine. When looking at this restaurant it was mainly advertised as Italian cuisine, but it's lacking on the Italian side. I would think this should be a Michelin star if it's not already. They deserve it. I do wish there were more food options as there was a lack in variety. Watched our waiter professional debone a fish using only 2 spoons and I couldn't be more impressed. Service was just excellent. Very attentive, friendly kind and a good sense of humor. Came here for a birthday and couldn't help but to have a memorable time due to the service, food, ambiance, vibe, views and just a plain ol good time. Loved the interior decor. It was rather elegant featuring walls of wine that were perfect for a photo op. Would absolutely recommend for an intimate night out or for a lovely group setting that offers exquisite views and tasty dishes. Well worth the price!

The portions of beef and fish are extremely generous，out of five people, only two managed to finish everything. The beef is more flavorful, while the fish is a bit bland. The grilled squid is very aromatic, and when paired with the basil leaf sauce and tomatoes, it helps to cut through the greasiness, balancing out the richness of eating so much meat.

The food and service was excellent. However, the view was not what was advertised. Would go back though.

Cute rooftop right across from Rockefeller Center. I never knew this place existed until my co-workers and I were looking for a place to have a bachelorette outing for one of the girls in my office. We went on a day where it was extremely hot, but thankfully this rooftop is covered and has fans, so we were all super comfortable. This place makes some really great drinks. Their Cosmopolitan and Mezcal drink (forgot the name of it) were both super tasty. We asked for a round of shots and we were poured some of the biggest shots I've ever had in my life! Which was great. Our waiter was extremely attentive and kept making sure we were ok and didn't need anything. We didn't try any of the food because we had dinner reservations somewhere else, but this is definitely a great spot to go for a date night or night out with the girls. I'll definitely be coming back to try some of the food.

The restaurant is actually beautiful and made me feel like I was eating outside in Italy. The decor and outdoor area made it a European summer. The staff were super lovely and attentive to my party and I which was awesome. I got chicken dish which was very tasty and a nice light lunch. We ordered three pastas and split them, which seemed to annoy our waiter. The bolognese and tortufo were both amazing. The carbonara was very grainy. One of us also had the soup and loved it. The dip for the bread was good. The dessert was amazing. The torta was on point!! We tried to switch one pasta for salmon while the waiter put in the order but he said it was too late which was confusing since he was putting it in still. Overall it was good.

The ambiance was very romantic, our waiter gave us great selections as well. Can't complain the food was delicious!! And the views chefs kiss!!I will be returning in the summer here!

Came here for lunch on a weekend. The experience was overall good with the food being the highlight, but slightly awkward that despite making reservations, the kitchen wasn't open until 12:30. They also don't honor the prefix lunch menu they advertise on the bottom floor on weekends, but despite that - the food was really good: Highlights included the: * Carbonara * Eggplant parm * The beet salad (yum on that fresh goat cheese) * Meatballs (so tender) The service was overall pretty great once the hiccups above were addressed, the food was the highlight, prices are on the higher side...and despite being advertised as a "rooftop" diner, there isn't much of a view.

Good food, nothing blew me out of the water though. Also very very slow service, took 2-3 hours to come out with 2 courses. The complimentary bread was good. Nice chew, fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The olive oil accompaniment had some tiny cherry tomatoes, which added a sweet fruitiness to the buttery dip. The Caesar salad was classic, creamy and a bit tangy. I thought the large pieces of Parmesan was a nice touch, and added a nice saltiness and richness. For the main, I chose the ribeye, which turned out to be the most worth-it main. The steak was cooked medium rare as requested and was juicy and tender. There were some nice herbs and seasoning, and the jus remaining in the plate was delicious for mopping up with bread. Everyone else's mains looked worse in taste or value, however.

I was in NYC to see a few musical, and lunch at Duomo51 was an unexpected treat! After going to the top of Rockefeller Center to get an amazing view of the city, I wanted to find a lunch spot nearby. Yelp let me know that there was a great Italian place within a block or two. I have to admit I was a little intimidated, because I was not "all dressed up". I was afraid maybe the staff would not be welcoming. NOTHING COULD HAVE BEEN FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH. The staff was SUPER welcoming. I was taken to a table with an amazing view. The waiter was full of helpful suggestions. The food arrived and all four of us were SUPER happy with our orders. My Carbonara was perfect.... creamy and dreamy! My panne cotta was fantastic! We all felt like we were VIP rockstars living the high life in the big city! I would highly recommend.

Had a wonderful meal here before a Broadway show. We told our server that we were on a bit of a time crunch and they were very accommodating. Ordered the ravioli Della Casa which was delicious. Other members in my party enjoyed the bolognese and the Salmon. Loved the vibe of the restaurant. Definitely would return!

While food was fine and mediocre considering all the surrounding restaurants one could go, it felt insulting and time consuming to be apart of this dining experience. Blunt and brute would describe the services and maybe that's their best but I need more. Smile more sweetie.

I made a group reservation here some months ago. I decided to stop by the day of and make sure everything was in place. The staff was incredibly accommodating, and allowed me to select the table for my party of eight. When we arrived that evening, the location had been changed. But when I called the attention to the hostess of the arrangements that previously been made, she check the notes and quickly change the accommodation to the table selected. There was a wonderful selection of food for the pasta, lovers and seafood lovers and just plain Italian food as well. I selected a salmon dish, my compadres had the pasta special as well as some of the beef specials. Everyone was delighted with the food and the service was exemplary. The location and the views were in the heart of New York City. it's just north of Rockefeller Plaza and the outside seating has incredible views of St. Patrick's Cathedral. I will definitely visit again !

It's a hard pass for this high price good smelling mediocre Italian food restaurant. I wanted so badly to love this restaurant but besides the great location and views, it was an epic fail. My group was seated in the private are and we had a pre-fix menu. I should've it was going to be bad when the hot appetizer came out look warm. The best thing on the plate was the eggplant parmigiana. There wasn't anything special, no flavors stood out. It was pretty basic and for what they charged, it was not good. I must say the wine was delicious and the bread with the oil that had sun dried tomatoes was so yummy.

The food was delicious. Our daughter devoured the pomodoro that she shared with my husband. They do not have a children's menu, so be prepared for that. The lobster ravioli was very good. If you want the best view of St Patrick's, be sure to as for a table on the terrace near it or by a window in that side.

Food was great. Decent view. Strange location though. It is inside of a Hilton hotel that seems sketchy. It is on the 7th floor. You walk in the hotel past the desk and go straight to the elevator. Think small European hotel with very small reception. The elevator opens to a lot of flowers and the restaurant name, Turn right and you are in the restaurant. We were 2 of 6 people in the place around 5:30 pm. Great view of St Patrick's and the edge of Rockefeller. You can also see Radio City Music hall. It got busier as we ate. The food was good as was the service. The bathrooms are down steep stairs, out a door into the hotel hallway and down. Weird but they were clean.

The pomodoro pasta was amazing!! Little smaller of a portion size than I was expecting, but I guess that's what you get a fancier place. The waiter was nice but seemed super "rehearsed" when telling us about the specials, like he was trying to memorize a script. The restrooms were also down a half floor in a different part of the building which was a little awkward. Other than that had a good experience but probably would try a different place next time. There are pretty good views from the restaurant itself being on the 7th floor.

Duomo51 has a great location right across from Rockefeller Center on the 7th floor of the DoubleTree Hotel, with an incredible view of St. Patrick's Cathedral that adds to the atmosphere. The wait staff was attentive, and our order came out quickly, which was a plus. We started with the Caesar salad, which wasn't the traditional take but was decent. However, the real disappointment was the carbonara. It was overly saucy, almost like a jarred Alfredo, when it should have been drier with more emphasis on the egg. While the atmosphere is fantastic, the food could use some improvement.

The ambiance was there, low lit and a good date night. They were very friendly. The food was average though and the portions small. Good atmosphere, but overpriced for what it is.

It was just ok. The special risotto with truffles lacked flavor (needed to put salt on it). The meatballs were good as an app along with the eggplant parmigiana. The bresaola app was really good. My T bone for two had to many dry spices on it and again lacked salt. The ribeye was much better. Maybe next time I'll try some pastas.

4 star food. 3 star service. I was looking forward to taking my parents to a welcoming and different dining experience since they were visiting New York for the weekend. This is a new restaurant that I was hopeful about since they had a glass room where you could view the skyline of New York. The pros of this restaurant is that the food and the ambiance are quite excellent. It's quiet enough to talk with your table and the design looks like you're having an elevated experience. I don't have pictures of food unfortunately, but would recommend the ribeye steak, bolognese, and the gnocchi. The seasoning for the dishes were simple but flavorful. The main con of the experience was the service. For one, I felt we were dismissed during our time. I reserved this place for my parents anniversary -- no special treatment and I think there was a lack of some respect to small asks. We also felt very rushed during our dining experience. We were in and out within an hour and I can't comment to say that it was a relaxing time.

I found duomo51 on Yelp. It's hidden up on the 7th floor rooftop! Beautiful ambiance with flowered canopies, amazing views of St Patrick's Cathedral, friendly service, and delicious food. Great Aperol Spritz!

Food great, service great, ambiance great. Nice to find an old school Italian restaurant. Like stepping back 40 years, it works well. Happy to find it.

My friend and I went here for Valentine's Day and loved every bit of it. Ambiance was so claiming and very beautiful inside. Our server, Chris, was AMAZING. We told him we were sharing everything, and after that, he was helpful and split everything for us at the table. I'm a food vlogger, and he was even so kind and patient enough for me to take pictures and record each dish. (He didn't know I was a food vlogger; I never told him.) Time to talk about the cocktail and food. Cocktail spot on. I had their signature drink, Midtown, and my friend had a Lemon drop martini. Since my friend and I went on Valentine, they had a prefix menu (three courses for $95 per person), and all the choices there seemed good. For appetizer, we went with fried calamari and burrata; for main course, we had Cacio e Pepe and Lobster Ravioli. They only had two options for dessert, so we got one of each Tiramisu and the Strawberry Panna Cotta. Everything tasted fresh and extremely delicious. I highly recommend this place. We will be back for a full-menu experience.

This is a nice rooftop restaurant on the 7th floor. The ambiance is beautiful with the roses and decorum. They have a very limited menu. The service was great as well. The food was ok. They need to expand their menu.

Enjoyed breakfast while staying at the hotel. Service was good and the view is nice. The price was a bit high when compared to other places in the area but overall it was a good breakfast spot.

My wife, friends and I decided to visit this restaurant while vacationing in Manhattan. I was a little disappointed in the portion sizes and the services were slow. I asked to fill water for 2 glasses but only filled one. The amount of money that we were charged, I expected a little better service but not to mention meal size. Pasta is one of the cheapest dishes out there. Won't be visiting them In the future. The tiramisu was all cream not one bite of lady finger or cake in it. 3 stars for appearance and location.

Quite the disappointment. A big positive is the nice view from the outdoor patio. I had read the reviews and was excited to come by for my birthday dinner. The hostess seemed sad, almost annoyed while seating us. Our waiter came to the table to take our order then we didn't see him again until we had to pay. I'm not too picky when it comes to service but we weren't asked about our food, if we wanted more drinks or even if we were ready to pay 20 minutes after the busboy cleared our table. I could understand if it was a weekend night or something but this was a Monday. The patio was full and there were two parties inside the restaurant but I saw at least 4 wait staff. Me and my partner both got the carbonara. It was decent, a little too salty for my taste. The margarita was meh. I would've tried another cocktail if they bothered to stop by.

We had the prix fixe lunch and it was delicious and reasonable. We were there with a large group and they did a great job. We had a semi private space. Caprese salad was good. Chicken scallopine great! Panda cotta had a touch of mint.

Food was good. I've had better. But it was the atmosphere of being in nyc. Service was very good. It is a bit pricey for not giving you much on the plate. The sides are Ala cart. The worst is the wait for an elevator to get to the restaurant. The restaurant is within the hotel with only 2 electors. Had to wait 10 minutes which is ridiculous and puts a damper on looking forward to a meal. Probably won't go back

I ate breakfast here during my recent stay at Doubletree Hotel Midtown 5th Ave. Nice patio view, great service, and the food quality is up to par. The price is pretty high though, even compared to other Hilton hotel breakfasts. I guess you're paying a little extra for the view.

We had a girls' night dinner for my birthday, and we went all out with black truffles and red wine. This restaurant is located on the 7th floor inside the DoubleTree Hotel. Their bathroom is on the 6th floor. This spot was on my bucket list. Service was great and accommodating. They all got together to sing Happy Birthday with a tiramisu. Food was overall great. The truffle dishes were in their specials menu because it was truffle season. All the truffle dishes tasted so good, especially with each bite together with a piece of truffle. Meatballs and the Duomo51 salad with a barolo are ideal items to order. This spot is worth checking out once. Dining is pricey due to location and hotel.

No actual view of duormo and food is overpriced and not good. Heat wasn't on full and it was cold inside. service was ok not great

Beautiful restaurant with a wonderful, quiet ambiance. We had a beautiful view while we ate. I ordered the Cacio E Pepe, it was some of the best pasta I've had. Krisard was our server and he was attentive and lovely. Definitely recommend if you're near Rockefeller or Radio City Music Hall.

Excellent food in a sophisticated setting. I had the chicken scaloppine which was perfection except I wanted a little pasta to go with it. It came with artichokes which was yummy. We shared a Caesar salad, also great and one of the best I ever enjoyed. Highest recommendation if it fits your budget. We will go back.

This is an upscale Italian restaurant in a hotel. The ambiance is nice, but the food is painfully average. My pasta dish (carbonara) was served to me with a completely broken sauce. I would have let the waiter know, but he never came back to check on us. We didn't ask for the bill but he brought it to us without asking if we wanted a second drink (we did). Would not return.

Researched best rooftops with Italian food and narrowed it down to this one. I requested to be outside when I arrived for my reservation and the hostess said there was no more space. I spent the entire dinner alone in the large dining space while people were coming in and out of the patio. There looked to be plenty of seats before I arrived and when I left. Very disappointing as a solo female traveler.

Great holiday dinner. Staff was amazing and food did not disappoint. Will definitely be back.
