Las Vegas’s Queer Bar Scene Is Bigger Than Ever - Eater Vegas

"Dust is a new gay bar that opened in July, offering a versatile space that functions as a home bar by day and a nightclub and showbar by night. It features a stage, lighting, fog, and CO2 cannons. Managed by J.C. Lopez, Dust aims to provide a new venue for Vegas's substantial local talent and has quickly integrated into the local queer nightlife scene." - Janna Karel

August 9, 2025. JC should not be the manager of this place. Horrible customer service. Great drag shows. Food is bomb. Try the spicy pepperoni pizza and the wings. How do you own a bar that has horrible air conditioning? I was told by a white gay male bar tender with glasses, buzzed military haircut, amd no shirt on, that its an old building hunny, what do you expect? Really now? Not cool. Own a bar, have money to fix the ac. Poor customers service. Poor drag queens have to ware their wigs, costumes, and had to deal with the heat in this place. Come to find out two days later that the same white male bar tender deliberately tuned the AC off due to the entertainment court on this night to perform, he didn't like. This is very unprofessional and disrespectful to all the customers that came into the bar this night when it was a full house. Even customers that came into the bar just to drink, they left because it was to hot. JC the manager needs to either do something about this, or get all new workers that are way more friendlier and way more professional. Drama queen gays males that need to be checked.

I went during the day so there was a small crowd. I was able to talk easily. There were plenty of gambling machines to choose from. There's an ATM in the bar. They have a kitchen so food can be ordered. They have gluten free options. Drinks are affordable. There's plenty of seats. They had music playing. The staff is friendly and attentive. I would definitely hang out here.

This bar has changed hands many times. But when Dust took over, they turned this place into a great bar. The staff is great! They cater to all members of the LGBTQ community but hosting a wide variety of events. The food is pretty good, as well the fried pickles are my favorite thus far. Very nice place to watch a good show, chill with friends, and have a good time!

This place is great if you want to have a night away from the busy Vegas strip. It’s chill and they have exactly what you need, good music and good drinks. I don’t come to Vegas often, but I happened to stop by Dust and Luca, the bartender, was the greatest host. I feel lucky by stopping there on my way to my hotel on this night out

Came out with friends for a drag show and we all had such a blast! The bartenders were all super sweet and the drinks were reasonably priced and yummy. I dig this spot 💖💖💖

I love Dust because the bartenders, performers, and staff are amazing. The drag queens always slay. Drinks and food are really good. The bartenders all pay attention to you and make sure you’re okay whether it’s busy or not. My favorite nights are karaoke with JC. Come support this place and get some food and drinks.

You're better off going to flex, fun hog or the Garage for your drinks!!!! Monday nights $5 long islands really suck here, they are too sour and they don't have any liquor!!! It's a disappointment, it's not even worth going there to drink.

Great place, great food (try the Papis pizza), great bar staff, great shows & events. I can't say enough good stuff about this place. Definitely worth a visit whether you are a local or in from out of town.

Yelp
This is a newish bar on the block. They opened around 3 months ago and has transformed the area. The parking lot is well lit (bright actually) bringing added security to the outside unlike other staple bars. They have some great things going on at this place. They are; food, entertainment, dancers, and staff. The food: Their hot kitchen offering menu is above your average neighborhood bar; the bites are delicious, and their Mozzarella burger a hit! Recently they added Latin-Street food/snacks to the menu; making it at all inclusive bar for all. The staff: Overall the staff is on their feet providing service during your visit there. They are pretty friendly and work very hard for your tips; though I feel they don't get tipped as much as they should. Next time you're here; throw a few extra dollars at them! They'll appreciate it. Though, I must admit my FAVORITE bartender there is Sam! As a nightlife vet himself; he knows his drinks all too well and is such a knowledgeable individual; prob the most astute bartender. Make him an assistant manager already! The entertainment: While there is a little bit for everyone at Dust. You'll find that each night encompasses a different theme. Though their Latin Night on Sunday's takes the cake! It's their crown jewel entertainment wise. Saturday and Sundays you'll sure find a dancer with an appealing exotic look--after all it's Sin City! Speaking of cake--they have tres leches cake on their menu; pretty good actually. Special Note: I must give a shout out to Ginger who hosts their drag brunch on the weekends, great entertainer with a risqué sense of humor! Josie their Latin Queen is prob their best host; very upbeat. They say to always thank your kitchen staff: so thank you Day and Gigi; amazing food quality and presentation! All are welcome so check them out! P.S. wishing they add "industry nights" to their Monday night. That would be awesome for all the locals in the svc industry.

Yelp
It's interesting coming back & seeing it as DUST instead of Jimmy @ Madisons, but it did not disappoint! Everything feels new. The seating, the sound system, the stage, and everything about it feels fresh. The service staff seems to be mostly familiar faces from around the LGBTQ+ community, and they are all top tier. Great at what they do, and they all seem to really enjoy themselves. The food is definitely better than your typical "bar food". They have the standard offerings like chicken tenders, wings, Onion Rings, and such, but none of it is just fried and served. Everything is seasoned generously and well cooked. For entertainment, it seems like they offer shows quite often! I saw a night of their open auditions for talent, and their Latin night show, and if they pick the best from the auditions I saw, then they have a lot of potential to have some incredible shows in the future. They have many booths and tables that can accommodate small and larger parties as well. Would be a great venue to host things like bachelorette parties & birthdays!

Yelp
This new LGBTQ bar is located in the former space of Jimmy's at Madison's. The interior has been refreshed and upgraded with a casual but sophisticated touch with comfortable booths, tables, and barstools. The main stage is ready for many shows to come with a LED wall and a disco ball. While we stopped in early on a Tuesday, the bartender was very friendly and told us about the exciting upcoming events for this fantastic addition to the Las Vegas LGBTQ community. We will be back for sure!

Yelp
I love that I discovered this hidden gem in Las Vegas!!! Great parking, nice space, great entertainment and tasty eats!! I'm not a drinker and I still received the best service ever! The ambiance was perfect! If you love watching hot buff guys dancing and the best drag queens in Vegas!! They have a awesome karaoke night, where you'll hear the most professional of singers entertain you. I went for a show tunes singalong and literally never had so much fun in my life. I wish they did it more than once a month. It was a great place to meet friends and make new ones. Don't sleep on this place the awesome abundance of free parking alone is worth it!

Yelp
This place is amazing. JC is the best. Best bar to go karaoke or just have a great night in Vegas. We love it here. Check it out now!
