My son's band (Carnist- go check them out!) played there on a Sunday. Small indoor stage, kinda cramped. Cool outdoor area with a much larger stage, but it was cold and windy that night. If you like biker decor, go on a nice evening and hang out back.

Cheapsteaks was a great addition to Deep Ellum. Moderately priced good food with live music. It reminds me of a place that would thrive pre pandemic. If I'm in the area I'll swing back in.

It’s located in Deep Elm so you can expect lots energy from outside. Small but cozy setting, indoor and outdoor seating. Our service was not good and extremely slow and the crowd was nonexistent when I dined in. My steak was extremely tuff and I asked for medium well not well done. Our drinks were so strong and improperly mixed we couldn’t even enjoy them.

My brother and I decided to stop in here for some food after a play. He got a chopped steak sandwich, and I got a butcher steak and some drinks. The steak had amazing flavor and was tender enough that I barely had to chew it. The drinks were strong, which is how I like them, and the music was excellent. I will definitely be coming back here.

Where can you get a good steak for a decent price? This is it! It’s a simple steak that comes with fries. They also have other amazing sides. Try their Brussel sprouts! They are tossed in an amazing sauce. They have a nice secluded patio in the back and offer a full bar. They also have an indoor and outdoor stage. This is a great place for a steak fix without breaking the bank! I will be visiting again!

Pleased with the meal. Would have been a disappointment to order a steak at a place named steak and have it be cooked incorrectly. My favorite dish honestly was the Brussel sprouts, found myself chasing that elusive citrus bite again and again. Special shout out to Kristen, amazing service. Sparking personality and knowledge of the menu provided us with an amazing experience.

We were looking for a little fun and entertainment in the city, Friday night and a friend suggested this place for us. When I tell you the drinks, food, music and service went above my expectations. Although small the restaurant feels bigger than it is because of the band. Best Jazz band in town! I cant wait to go back!

First time in this place and the young lady behind the bar did a great job on my drinks and the burger was great as well
