Dusty’s Hideaway

We stopped here after my husband’s doctor appointment yesterday. The restaurant is an older house that has been remodeled. My husband and I sat in what was possibly a former bedroom. There are 2 small indoor dining areas and a lounge area in the back. There is also outdoor seating on the front porch or in the back by the lounge. It was too cold to sit outside, so we ate inside. I had the BLT with horseradish mayonnaise. The menu description says it is loaded with bacon and the description was very accurate. The bacon was hot, crisp and on thick homemade lightly toasted bread with the perfect amount of crisp lettuce and sliced tomato. I chose fries. My husband had the hot honey chicken sandwich with tater tots. His sandwich was also served hot with lettuce, tomato and pickles. It was spicy but not “burn the roof of your mouth” spicy. Their coffee was hot, strong and flavorful; definitely gourmet, and not out of the can. We were seated and served almost immediately. We had a pleasant lunch and will definitely go back.

If you’re looking for a tasty burger, wrap, or sandwich Dusty’s has it. Hits the spot when all you want is a hot, juicy, greasy burger. The seasonal cocktails have been touted as being unique and refreshing. We were not exactly impressed by the drinks, though they offer a rotating seasonal cocktail menu so maybe we just didn’t find one that worked for us. They offer a full bar and they’re happy to make a drink that’s sure to please.

What a suprising gem of a restaurant, built in a converted house. It has a casual charm, pleasant porch seating, and friendly staff. The menu offers rotating seasonal cocktails and American-style comfort food sandwiches and similar. Portions are huge for the price. I recommend the tots over the fries for your side.

My husband said he's driven past this place several times and was curious. Yesterday we had the pleasure of having lunch there. We went with sharing high school nachos, fried Buffalo cauliflower, and a small plate of hot wings. They were all delish! My cocktail was delicious as well. It was a peach something. The bar tender/waitress was pretty spectacular. She managed to do it all until other workers came for their shift. She did it with a great upbeat attitude as well. I saw some burgers come out for other customers, and though I didn't have one, I may have to next time. It all looked so good! Overall, what a cool little place! I feel like I've been missing out!

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!!!! In all honesty, when you pull up to the place you will probably want to change your mind! BUT DON’T!!! This little place is the perfect place to eat! The food was wonderful! The staff is even more wonderful!! This is one of the best restaurants I’ve even been to!!!! You will not be sorry you tried it!

Such a cool vibe with great drinks and delicious food. This restaurant/bar is set in Tacoma's east side right on McKinley Ave in an old house that has retained all the best parts of its charm. Find a cozy spot indoors or, if the weather is right, grab one of their outdoor spots for the perfect way to unwind and enjoy a bite. Sandwiches are large portions bursting with flavor. There are so many unique twists on classics that it is hard to choose. Staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Highly recommend!

07/09/24 Came in right at open on a day it was going to be 101 degrees. They were running a cold menu with still options of fried items. One of the few times I didn't get pics of food because I was distracted by company. The place was awesome. I got the hot honey chicken sandwich with tots. Def order again. Super messy and delicious. Our server Ashley let us know she just started working there, her smile and guess service was amazing. I will definitely be back.

We came here on New Year’s Eve last year, food was awesome atmosphere was great! Chill before we went to go see tiesto at the Tacoma bowl today was even better after a great hike we returned and same chill atmosphere great food love this place! The hot honey chicken sandwich was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥my girls veggie sandwich was stacked great food! Thank you! 🙏🏼
