We are big fans of Dutch Bros! We indulge when in Oregon or if near our stops during travel but honestly this is the first visit to a location in San Diego County. This Escondido store is much larger than the ones we frequent in Oregon. It was also slower and the vibe was not the same. The people taking orders and also the ones at checkout are not as talkative or energetic as those in Oregon. They were very polite but I miss the " how is your day going" and "going anyplace special" or "where you heading". By the time we exit we are good pals. Quality was as good as Oregon. We ordered 2 medium sugar free blended mocha's. They were extremely tasty and very enjoyable on this hot morning. Each drink was 6.50 + tax and with tip set me back a whopping $15. In the words of Cheap Pete, "good lord that's a lot of money". Visit was a success and easily qualifies as a 4 star review. To earn the extra star this location needs to expedite orders faster and employees be more energetic. If in the area, we would not hesitate to return.

Dutch Bros is always such a great stop. The staff is incredibly friendly and upbeat, which makes every visit enjoyable. They greet you with a smile, keep the line moving quickly, and always make the drinks just the way I ordered. The consistency is something I really appreciate because I know I can count on them to get it right every time. It’s not just about the drinks but also the positive vibe they bring. They make the experience fun, and I always leave in a better mood. This is definitely one of my favorite places to grab a drink.

Fast service through the drive-thru on a busy Sunday. The employees were nice, too. And since we came on Father's Day they gave us 2 Father's Day Dutch Bros stickers! My Iced Vanilla Latte was okay, but my wife's Blended Golden Eagle was delicious and sweet. Next time I'll order that. There was also outside seating, but loud music playing.

This is by far the BEST dutch bros!! I refuse to go anywhere else. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and always greets you with a smile. Whenever I go get a drink they make my day!! Everyone who works at this one is amazingg!!❤️

Delightful young lady took out coffee order . Made small talk and was very personable. Organized drive through. Our order was done ahead of the car in front of us and an employee actually walked it out to us so we could be on our way. That was a plus!! Coffee cups are cute . Love the individual messages on each one. Warm vanilla latte with 1/2 sweetness was still a bit too sweet for me but had good flavor. Husband's coconut latte was pretty darn good with 1/4 sweetness. I'd for sure go back.

Our friends told us about this place so my Wifey and I decided to check it out! I downloaded the App and drove over . We were amazed at the menu offerings! So many wonderful choices from smoothies to coffees. I remember seeing many of the coffees that people had at our Sunday morning church services. We were warned that the line is always long however with so many choices and the amazing customer service we had our drinks ready surprisingly fast. Great people and amazing drinks. Don’t let the line intimidate you! Also get the App prior to your visit! It’s worth the wait!

The staff here is kind and speedy. I had a small concern with my drink when it came out and the ladies helping me didn't make me feel bad for needing a new drink. The next drink came out immediately. Great customer service and delicious drinks.

Been going here for about a year. Drinks are delicious. Service is efficient even with high volume and small drive through. Clearly well managed. Wish I could shout out every employee they always brighten your day with friendly kind words or good suggestions.

Always greeted by a smile. Rain or shine unfortunately for the employee drawing the short straw. Either way it's a quick stop for mid day caffeine boost. Espresso bean tastes way better than Starbucks . There are random rushes when the line goes from 0- to backed up. No worries if someone in front has a complicated orders. Smaller orders get walked out when ready which is always a plus. Either way chill environment for drive through or walk up window.

For medical reasons, I currently can't consume any caffeine so when a friend invited me to her favorite coffee shop (twice!), I ordered one of their few non-coffee drinks and both times it was AWFUL. - Mango smoothie: I don't think this actually contains any real fruit. Just sugar and water. - Salted caramel hot cocoa: I am not sure if this contained any cocoa. Just tasted like sugar and water, maybe some milk? I am never the one to say that something is too sweet or too salty. But both the above items were way too sweet. Looks like I will need to wait until my medical issue resolves and can order caffeinated coffee drinks, since that seems to be the only thing here that gets positive/rave reviews. But I would pass on any more of their caffeine-free beverages.

Excited about a Dutch bros coffee in San Diego. Their service was very knowledgeable and nice. You can order from the drive thru or at the counter. Would recommend walking up to the window in person. You get your drink extremely fast. This is a very large building with some seating outdoors, but most people get their drinks to go.

For the life of me I cannot understand the hype. This is just a giant glass of milk. The coffee is so weak, even with extra shots. It really is just glorified flavored milk. I will try other locations but after three tries here I am done.

Seasonal Carmel pumpkin brûlée doesn't taste like pumpkin. Also the workers talk too much at the drive thru window I'm just trying to get my drink not chat

Absolutely amazing experience because of MEL! She was so awesome and her energy really made my day this morning. This location is pretty busy, the drive thru line wrapped around the building but it looked like it was moving pretty quickly. I decided to order through the window and it came at the time of the estimated pick up on the app, which was great. The only complaint I had was the amount of ice in my drink. There's no way through the app to customize for "less ice" but 90% of my drink was ice. I was a little upset, as paying $7 for a drink and having the majority of it be ice was a little annoying. However, the drink itself was great.

DUTCH BROS @ Escondido Shoutout to MEL! She was an incredible worker here who had such a high and lovely energy to each customer making their experience bright and happy. I ordered a Strawberry Matcha online and the pick up line was separate from ordering then. The drinks came within 5 minutes, and Mel offered to add strawberries for me and it was so GOOD. Overall, experience was fantastic. Parking was difficult, but they do have spots available. The atmosphere was happy, bright, and clean. I'd recommend stopping by to this location!

First time coming here since they first built it. I can see why people speak so highly of it. I tried one of their seasonal drinks, and I have to say I like it better than most in town. I have my town favorites, but as far as bigger chain places go, I liked the service here a lot

Finally had the chance to try this place! We live around this coffee joint so we decided to do a drive-thru coffee order right before work. My husband & I have the same taste so we agreed on the Golden Eagle & the Caramelizer. The coffee portion is LARGE, we basically had a 24 oz! My husband said his drink -- the Golden Eagle blended was good, but too sweet. We pretty much were drinking sugar. It reminded me of the Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks. I had the Caramelizer blended, and I had to say that I liked that drink more. I think I prefer them iced after it had melted a bit. The service is always wonderful! The workers are always really nice and look really enthusiastic working there. We went back a second time to get refreshers, and they were good. It's pretty much like slushie flavors, but my tip would be to get the sweet foam on top! It does add some cool flavor to any drink. I can't describe the ambiance inside, as we never went inside. Though we'd come back every time we would want more coffee, maybe split the 24 oz between us two!

My husband, brother and I came here to get an afternoon pick up. Alanah is so amazing!! Her customer service skills is incredible. She's very friendly and upbeat and was really personable. Please give her a raise! We look forward to always coming to this location whenever we're in this area because of the amazing we always receive. Love how fast they always are as well.

Shoutout to Allyson for the best drink recommendations ever!!! She helped me out tremendously to find something new that fit my allergy restriction and the drink is a new favorite of mine! Service was very quick. Friend at the window was very kind as well!! Ambiance is very Alive. Will be back for sure to this location.

It's got long lines for a reason. Worth it for a good caffeine high. Good sour and sweet options

Food: 5 Service: 5 Ambiance: 3 Love me some dutchbros! Every time I come here, service is excellent; they're friendly and efficient and every drink I've had has been extremely tasty! Most of the times, the lines are long but they move along timely. I love all the various options and your ability to modify. I'm a customer for life.

Service was like in the good old days! They were patient and made great suggestions and then told me about the birthday special because it was my daughter's birthday ! They really hooked her up and made her feel special we sat in the car for a few minutes just commenting on the great job they did! They were so nice good to see customer service is not lost on this team!

Was here not too long ago with my kids since we needed a bit of a cool-off in this heat and well, I also wanted to make sure to use my Birthday Reward! Rather than going to the Drive-Thru, we just parked in the lot and walked up to the window since there is usually a little to no wait doing this instead. As always, anyone who helps you is incredibly nice, helpful, and a pleasure talking to! We ordered a Cookie Dough shake, Islander Dutch Freeze, and Banana Split Dutch Freeze. All were wonderful and the sweet treat we always look forward to. I just wish we lived so much closer to a Dutch Bros! We do our best to come around when in the area though. Also, helps to have their app to earn points that you can use for more Dutch Bros goodness!

Been coming to this location Dutch bros for so long. All the workers are so nice and love to talk and ask about your day. The drinks are always on point.

Inefficient and lacks communication. One customer was honking already as the drive thru was a mess. No one conveyed that the drive thru window was closed. The cars didn't know how to proceed as orders were being brought out not in order.

Faster than the other Dutch Bros in San Diego County, has order ahead option in additional to drive through, located near a grocery story so it's convenient, drinks are consistent, and workers are incredibly nice. Like, seriously, nice. I had a horrible day and was crying profusely when I went to order a Rebel in the drive through and the worker taking my order and the workers inside the drink station were really sweet, talked to me / checked in with me about my day, and even gave me my drink for free. It made my day so much better with this act of kindness from the workers, and is why I always go back to Dutch for my caffeine!

Very good place I'm not to happy about location but at least they got something down our way

Love, love, love this place. The staff have grown to know me and my fiancé over the past year and are always kind. They always ask how you are that morning or how your day is going. Never had my order be wrong and they always ask if I would prefer a straw before handing me one which is super considerate. Ambiance is fast paced and sometimes can be slower going when it is peak hours, but they work their butts off to give us our coffee in a great amount of time. My go to drink is currently the iced Matcha with Raspberry in coconut milk -such an amazing flavor combination. My fiancé gets usually his two favorite drinks - Golden Eagle freeze or the Blue Oasis Dirty.

Going through drive thru is a breeze. Amazing how the line moves quickly because of the excellent employees that bring energy and passion to Dutch Bros. Drinks are refreshing and delicious. Always greeted with a smile and the laid back hospitality brings a smile. Join their Members Club and get special treats.

I came around 9:30 pm and didn't know what I wanted Vannessa was very helpful in providing recommendations! She was very nice and patient with me! Her recommendation was so yummy. Will definitely come again! Gracelyn was also very kind through the window, and gave more recommendations for Dutch waters as I was interested in.

Never gets my damn order right! If I order a f'ing blended mudslide chocolate milk I don't want a mudslide freeze or a mudslide freeze with coffee! A CHICOLATE MILK WITH ICE IN A BLENDER. Besides this mistake from Dutch bros happening multiple times I will say that Dutch bros can make wonderful and great drinks but they may not get it right if you don't want it iced, this mistake is 90% not the barista it's normally the ones taking the order

I wanted to take the time to give a shoutout to the E Valley Crew! Ryane took my order and answered my questions addressing all concerns for caffeine sensitivity to ensure my drink was exactly what I needed. She radiated positivity while being patient & attentive. At the window with Vannessa, I was served promptly and with a smile. I can appreciate the high level of teamwork it takes to provide excellent customer service while also delivering a good product. The efficiency and service quality exceeded my expectations and made my day a little brighter! Keep it up crew! You all are doing an amazing job!

Not too keen on how the drive through is, but it was interesting experience. Redeemed my belated birthday drink! Was told I came here before and didn't like their seasonal Peppermint mocha drink, but thmits been so long that I figured I'd give them a chance. Got a Picture Perfect!

**Disappointing Experience - Poor Service & Cold Coffee** I decided to give Dutch Bros another chance, but unfortunately, my experience was just as disappointing as the first. The wait time in the drive-through was unnecessarily long--15 minutes--because employees were chatting with friends rather than prioritizing customers. When I finally received my order, my hot coffee was ice cold. When I brought this to the attention of the barista at the window, I was asked if I wanted it "warmed up"--does that mean they microwave drinks? That alone was concerning. The shift leader handled the situation kindly, but the damage was already done. This wasn't the first time I experienced watered-down flavoring that didn't match the menu descriptions, so I won't be returning. As a coffee connoisseur, I cannot recommend Dutch Bros for quality, consistency, or service. If you're looking for a properly made, hot, and flavorful cup of coffee, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

Since my first review I went back to this location a good amount of times and I feel like every time I go back time there's always something. This time I went they didn't put an add in that I paid for in my sisters drink and the other 2 drinks were excessively sweet. And the time before that I went, I tried handing this girl a 3$ tip and she straight up told me "no it's okay I don't need it". In the moment I didn't think she was being condescending because she was faking a smile, but then I started to think like dang I guess it's not enough. I even started feeling a little bad because that's all the cash I had.

Love this spot! Definitely recommend the protein vanilla latte zero sugar. It satisfies the cravings, tastes delicious, is low on calories, with the added bonus of no sugar and high protein! Today was exceptional service with Rhiannon! She is such a sweet and friendly person and started my day off right! Thanks for the coffee and excellent service Rhiannon! Your genuine and kind demeanor was very refreshing.

I came all the way from Chula Vista to fix a craving I had and Devin was amazing and had a great attitude towards all my questions and explained everything in detail and helped us get our free drink through the app! My niece told me about this place in Reno and when I came home I had a craving drove 40 minutes! Thank you Devin for making our drive worth it and being so patient!

Great customer service from welcoming team members. Espresso drinks are okay, not strong. Asked for extra espresso and the drink tastes like milk. However, love all the SF options and protein focused milk option for lattes. Thanks for making my first experience pleasant!

I'd give it 6 stars if I could. Everyone was so kind and friendly. Ryane specifically gave me a great recommendation which has since become my regular order any time I find myself in a Dutch Bros drive thru. Could not recommend enough!

Love this place. I think these guys will go far if they keep up their friendly and youngster vibe. Coffees are actually good but I noticed they differ in taste based on who makes them during that day :)

I love coming to this location because the customer service is always excellent. Gracelan and Audrey are amazing--they go above and beyond and always provide such a personal touch. They make every visit a great experience!

Dutch Bros don't you dare take those popping pearls away ever! They are so good and really enhance the drinks. I ordered a berry lemonade with the popping pearls and it was amazing!!! The staff is also very friendly and the drive thru is very fast! By looks you would think you will be in the line forever but it goes so fast! I can't wait until the El Cajon location opens so I can get it more often but for now I'm willing to drive the 30 min!

The service at this location is a hit or a miss. Some days everyone is really nice and attentive, other days order takers will be rude to each other in front of guests or skip you in the drive thru. That is one of those days this morning. The drinks are delicious however.

Came here Saturday morning & it was my first time at the is location and surprisingly the line wasn't too long. I came up from San Diego which is a 30 min drive, but worth it because I love Dutch Bros. I got my usual drink Flap Jack and it hit the spot. The girl who helped me was awesome! Great personality and super sweet! Thank you Dutch Bros for your second location and the the amazing customer service.

Thank you to the Franchise owner for bringing a Dutch Brother's not only to Escondido but to east Escondido!!!! You nailed your research location and the need. The team was fun, personable, and made my first experience much more exciting! Even if I called the drink PITCH Perfect vice the actual name- he understood and We had a great laugh. The drink is chocolate Carmel goodness!

Was up in valley center for the morning and decided to give Dutch bros a try because we don't have one down in San Diego! Let me just say maybe it's this location? Or maybe it was just the time of day (Saturday around 1pm) but the line was LONGGGGG like In and Out long. So I did the walk up and order window! I got the golden eagle, the wait was about 10-15 min.. and I think there was a mix up with my order but the guy with the curly hair was super super friendly and made sure it came out as soon as possible. The golden eagle was super good!! I'm not sure if the coffee is worth the drive and wait though for me! But good nonetheless. Also, idk what dutch bro baristas are on, maybe they all chug one of their rebel drinks together before opening shift? Lol but they are all on the same vibe!! Super joyful, chill, energetic and friendly. Made me wanna work their and hop on their vibe

Be ready for long lines but worth the wait. Their coffees are so creamy and delicious. I've been a few times and always get the hot mocha and it's so tasty. Everyone working there is really nice. I always bring my dog so he can get a pup cup (cup filled with whipped cream and a treat). They also have an app that you can order your drink ahead of time to avoid the long wait.

The two kind and amazing broistas by the names, Gracelyn and Vanessa, gave me amazing drink recommendations and were so helpful in making my drink absolutely delicious. I definitely will be coming back!!!!

Can't go wrong with Dutch bros. Certainly better quality coffee and menu than Starbucks. Great customer service, sometimes a long drive thru but expected due to their popularity. We love the Irish breve, golden eagle, caramelizer and mocha. We prefer our drinks iced however a hot golden eagle with extra caramel drizzle is delicious as well. Make sure to download the app for extra promotions plus to accumulate points. Walk up and drive up service only.

The friendliest staff, no joke. I go here weekly and always have a great time. So happy they finally brought Dutch Bro's to Escondido. Number 1 tip: Download the app before you go, that way you can learn about the drinks. Also, ask the staff if you're stuck between deciding on which one to try. They've had them all lol.

Stop by this morning, no line , I was the only car there . Ordered a golden blonde , iced w/ foam top , and a cranberry muffin top , as I drove away , I realized they handed me a chocolate chip top and no foam on the iced coffee. There always very sweet there , but you can definitely tell , when NOT busy , they certainly can mess up your order . I'll go one more time , but the verity of coffee shops are like nail salons , one on every corner . Simple order , gone bad

Not terrible, first time here drive through took forever though. Drinks were nice however the service wasn't the best. Workers weren't welcoming or time efficient just teenagers.

This is my third visit and just like my first time around the customer service is great! I love the bubbly staff here. They really make ordering coffee fun! I ordered the Salted Caramel Protein Latte. It was tasty. But be aware these are all high calorie drinks so for me not a daily thing but a great treat on a Saturday morning :) The drive through is always busy but they have dual lines so it appears to move quickly. They have staff working the lines too like in-n-out which makes it a bit more personal. They have two picnic type tables out front to sit at which are CLEAN!! Unlike the other popular coffee place where the tables and chairs are gross. If you're in Esco definitely worth stopping by! Happy Coffee'ing. Oh and if you have a pup they also offer a nice pup cup with a dog bone on top! Sorry no pic Lucca woofed it down too fast!

I had left a review previously talking about how the staff hadn't listened. When I was ordering I emphasized twice I want LESS ICE. This is a recurring problem where I ask for less Ice and they put more ice than drink. I'm irritated at the fact that the staff do not listen or care to fix the problems. My drink looked like the picture below.

This is by far the SLOWEST Dutch Bros. I have ever been to! I wrote this review after having waited over 30 minutes in the drive-thru, that was initially about 20 cars deep (approx. 10 cars on each side), and I was still 5 cars away from the window after 30 min.! The saving grace was when a barista ran out to bring me my drink while I was still in line (3 cars from the window) -- Starbucks would never do that! So -2 stars for the ridiculously long wait and +3 stars for the thoughtful barista and the deliciousness of my large, iced Annihilator! They haven't been opened very long, so hopefully they'll work out the kinks and find a more efficient way to operate their drive-thru.
