The staff is hyper, friendly, and love to blare their music -- especially 90's alternative. There isn't a lot of turnover in the employees, so we've gotten to know each other well enough where when they see my car in the drive-thru they make hand signals to determine whether I want a medium or large size of my usual drink. I've been bringing my own mug lately, but since they already know my drink the service is super fast.
Their punch card system is handy! Two weeks of daily drinks on your way to work will net you a free one.
I am partial to the Kicker drink, which used to be called a Kahlua Kicker even though it has always been made with Irish Cream syrup. The official version is made with half and half, making it decadently rich, but I usually go sugar free with soy milk. I love that the taste of the coffee is consistent from location to location. Before locations were opened in the Portland Metro area I would usually stop at a minimum of two whenever driving the I-5 corridor in Southern Oregon where the chain originated.
The downside of this location is that the parking lot and drive-thru entrance are a bit awkward. It is at the base of the hill next to the train tracks, and making a left turn into the drive-thru line can be dicey in the morning when the place is jumping and caffeine is in high demand. Customers often leave a lot of space between them and the car in front of them, so the line can get backed up into the road. The parking lot has only a few official spaces, so if you're going to park and walk up you'll probably need to park along the edge of the lot.
