"It’s best to BYOP (bring your own picnic) to Dutcher Crossing, but the tasting room does have a cheese and charcuterie board available for purchase, in case you need backup. It’s surprisingly easy to sip the day away at this friendly boutique, and dog-friendly tasting room. Order up your favorite wine by the glass or bottle — they’ve got everything from carignan to cabernet — play a game of petanque (the French’s version of bocce ball), and enjoy the panoramic views of Dry Creek Valley." - Jess Lander, A. Everything about an experiece at Dutcher Crossing Winery leaves you feeling "On Cloud 9"! Be prepared to be mesmerized by the stunning hillside views and well landscaped property that overlook the vineyard. Staff is friendly and knowledgable and the winery dog shares her affection equally with all of the guests. The charcuterie board they prepared was beautifully presented with a delicious selection of meat, cheese, crackers and fruit. Between the gorgeous views and petting the labrador retriever...I was distracted from the wine. That distraction only lasted a moment until the first sip of their lovely sauvignon blanc that filled my mouth with declicate flavors of tropical fruit. We tasted through 5 of their wines and had to take all of them home with us. The tasting room also offers a shopping boutique where you can treat yourself to some stylish wearables not only for you, but your furry friend at home. I purchased a really neat dog collar created from a recycled bicycle tire, a cute sweatshirt and some stainless steel wine tumblers for the patio. Joining the wine club makes me feel connected to Dutcher Crossing all year long and it's like Christmas each time I receive a shipment. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Google
Jersey Tom our wine tour guide recommended this winery. Tom really knows how to oick the best winery stops for the customer. Dutcher has beautiful grounds, we were surrounded by picturesque view! The staff members were so welcoming Ken treated us all like Family! The atmosphere and the entire tasting experience were great!

Google
Friendly people serving. They made room for us to taste at the bar even though they were booked with reservations. Beautiful grounds and they are dog friendly. Wonderful experience, and the wine is fantastic too.

Google
The wine educater did no educating on the wines and the pour was one of the smallest in the industry! The Zin was good and the view was beautiful hence 2 stars

Stopped at this winery just by chance. The moment I stepped out into the winery grounds the smell in the air was amazing. When I tasted the wine for the first time I could taste that sweet automatic summer air in the wine. When I got home and opened that bottle of Pinot noir and poured it into the glass , it smelled and tasted like the day I was there. she has captured memories in a bottle.thanks

Yelp
A lovely place. Beautiful grounds and plenty of shade with a view to the hills. We did the $20 walk-in tasting. Friendly staff. All 4 of the wines we tasted were really good. They are dog-friendly! (Dogs to kept on leash.) Definitely worth a visit! It's located on Dry Creek Road (easy to find) and there are many wineries to visit along the way. Note: the walk-in tasting costs $20 which admittedly is on the low end of tasting fees, but you get no discount on any purchased wine, unlike many other wineries.

Yelp
I was only the area for 2 nights. I was so happy to come across DC. The tasting room was pleasant and relaxing After grabbing a glass of wine, I walked out the doors that lead out to their spacious views of the vineyard. Seating was all in shades area and well planned out. Views are spectacular and the wines are declicous. A special shout out to Jennifer and her hosting my tasting event. She was a pleasure to talk to and provided an exception experience. If you trying to choose which winery to go to, I highly recommend this one.

Geoff S.

Yelp
We ended up here with ten adults and five little ones. We tried six wines by the bottle, all enjoyable but expensive, which will surprise no one familiar with how wineries currently operate for in-person visits. However, we were all put off when the hostess attempted (twice) to charge us for sitting down in some unoccupied chairs which she said were reserved, but our party was the only one on the premises. It left us feeling like we were being squeezed to the maximum instead of being welcomed as guests.

Yelp
Beautiful scenery, great wines. Made a reservation for their seated tasting selection and had such a wonderful time chatting with the servers there. My taste was very similar to our server Jeniffer's and surprisingly enjoyed their Pinot noir! Lots of wineries nearby too so this is an awesome place to start or finish your day. Overall lovely atmosphere, good wines, better prices than Napa overall. Definitely adding this place as a must visit whenever I'm in the area.

Yelp
We are members of wine club. Like the wine. But the best is the ambiance. The grounds are stunning.

Yelp
My family LOVES Dutcher Crossing! My mom has been a member her for a few years now and we've had some great experiences. The location itself is absolutely beautiful! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The wines are also delicious and fairly priced. We appreciate that they typically have a couple fun experiences each year for wine club members. A few months ago we went for my bachelorette and the staff made sure we had an awesome time! My friends really loved the experience. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

Lisa M.

Yelp
My husband and I really enjoyed our visit. The wines are fantastic and the setting is so beautiful. A special thanks to Mike who was warm & welcoming and made our tasting experience special. Can't wait to return!

Pranamee S.

Yelp
Does Yelp allow more stars?????!!! I would give this place all the stars that I can because they are that awesome. The staff is great, really friendly, very flexible, knowledgeable and make you feel part of the Dutcher crossing family. No wonder we ended up taking the membership here. This was our first time and the minute I walked in to their grounds they reminded me of Bill Weasley's wedding set up from Harry Potter movies and being a Potter fan, I just couldn't resist taking so many pictures. It is beautiful!!!! No really, picturesque property and views. They allow picnic if you make reservations and then you allowed to be there for 1.5 hours although since we went on a less busy weekday, we stayed long and really enjoyed every minute. Cleanest restrooms, green lands, nice breeze and they allow kids. Since mine is 5 months old, they also allowed him to do his tummy time on their beautiful green grass. Their wines, especially the Pinot and the Port, too good!!! We loved all the pours. Thank you!! It's far from where I live but now we have the membership that will force my husband to drive all the way to this beautiful place again.

Fred M.

Yelp
A very nice setting for a tasting. Great service. Relaxed atmosphere. Very educational and informative. Very nice wine selection but nothing that knocked my socks off. An outstanding presentation and wine experience. Great setting for a picnic

Yelp
My friend and I had our first visit to Dutcher Crossing this past weekend. Lovely staff! Great greeting upon entry. Miranda and Abe were fantastic. Beautiful winery and amazing wines. We will be back for sure!!

De R.

Yelp
Had such an amazing experience with Mike!! He was awesome and introduced us to some amazing wines! You will love the views, the staff, the puppy dog Lady and most of all the wine!!

Discovered B.

Yelp
Very nice staff, and knowledgeable of the wine and where it's grown. The grounds were beautiful and do relaxing as you stroll back to the car.

Joshua B.

Yelp
We absolutely love Dutcher Crossing. If you come to Sonoma, this should be a must. Their wines are consistently good across all varietals. We are club members and the wines never disappoint. The employees are very nice people. The quality of wines is superb. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous. You can grab a glass and take in the view. It's one of my absolute favorite wineries to visit.

Kara D.

Yelp
I am so disappointed. I really wanted to like this winery. We did end up tasting at the bar instead of the tables outside because we were running late. I did call them to let them know we were running late and they said that 4:00 would be no problem. Problem number #1 Beware going to the winery at the end of the day. Clearly they had better things to do and we lost our girl after the first two servings of wine. Literally disappeared. Problem number #2 they were preparing for a wine event the next day. Lesson learned to call ahead and find out if they're having an event the next day. More than likely you won't get the attention that makes your tasting experience exceptional. The tasting experience was one of the worst I have ever had. We were out of there by 4:30 and I get the feeling that is exactly what they wanted.

Yelp
From the inviting grounds to the wine & hospitality Dutcher Crossing Winery is one winery not to be missed when visiting the Dry Creek Valley! I have to say out of all the wineries I've been to the staff here has got to be one of the friendliests & funnest (and yes knowledgeable as well regarding the wines) I have encountered which was really refreshing. I'm not saying that all tasting room associates aren't friendly, they are, ok most are, but here it was like hanging out with your best friend. We talked wine, we talked food, we talked about everything and nothing and we joked. And then we talked about the awesome music that they had playing from back in the.....well let's just say it's my era of music & we won't say how long ago that was. LOL But back to the wines. My friend & I went in with no reservations, the tasting room is very quaint & the tasting fee is $20 which is the norm for most of Sonoma County and very reasonable. Now some wineries will waive the tasting fee if a bottle or 2 are purchased but that is not the case here. Some individuals get upset about that but I'm fine with it, as, like I said, the tasting fee is very reasonable. If you are a wine club member the tasting fee is waived. I won't go into the different wines, the tastes, varietals, etc., as everyones tastes differ. What I will say is I enjoyed all of the wines we tasted. If I had to pick a favorite I'd have to say the Petite Sirah was a favorite of mine, though I could drink all of their wines with no hesitation. Another nice thing about this winery is you can actually go out to their large lawn area and have a picnic, purchase a bottle of wine & bask in the sun, play a game or 2 of corn hole and just relax. I definitely plan on returning when I'm back out in the Dry Creek Valley area.

Yelp
I don't know what to say... we went to The Ranch for some horseback. They served us a glass of wine. Husband and I loved the wine. We asked the owner what kind of wine it was. He told us to drive down the road. We parked. We asked. We walked away with a case of 12. We love Dutcher.

Ashleigh L.

Yelp
Great people. Fantastic wine. Scenery over the top. We met a couple at Bella vineyards and they told us to come here. Said this was their favorite of all vineyards. It is beautiful. The wine tasting for the day was full of white wines. I'm more of a red drinker so they adjusted to my tastes. We enjoyed a tasting of 5-6 wines. We purchased the proprietors reserve cab which was my favorite. We corked a bottle and walked around. Tried some of the grapes and they were wonderfully sweet. What an amazing experience. We would definitely come back. The people were awesome and we enjoyed their company and banter.

Yelp
What a stellar winery in the heart of Dry Creek Valley and one I had no clue about. Do not expect a large conglomerate winery chain when visiting Dutcher Crossing although it may be owned by one, it has a small charm feel to it. It really is aiming for the small home vibe feel when entering through the gates all the way to the tasting room and lawn area. Another big perk would be the stellar and welcoming staff. Not only are they passionate about their job, but they know their wine quite well. I could of honestly hung out there for hours chatting about wine and various other subjects. Any who, fast forward to the tasting itself, no reservation needed, but be aware dropping in during the spring or summer may result in large crowds and long wait times. Tasting fee is very reasonable, coming in at $20 and will get you a standard flight with a few extra pours as well. All the wines, whether white or red are quite superb and some of the better I had have in quite sometime. I really enjoyed the pinot noirs out of all of them, but honestly pinot noir in dry creek or Russian River is a staple in my opinion. My suggestion is a simple one, grab a bottle head outside on a nice day and enjoy some stellar wine while soaking in some rays. Don't think twice about this one, definitely add it to your list if you are visiting the area for wine tasting.

Yelp
What a lovely place and very tasty wines. I went here with a group our ladies for our monthly wine tasting day out. We were treated to several wines: 2016 Sav Blanc - very tasty with a slight bit of spice 2015 Chard - on the light side, very refreshing 2014 Moboroshi Reserve Pinot Noir - liked this alot 2015 Reserve Zin 2014 Proprietor's Cab Our server was "Laney" and she was great! She did an excellent job of managing a group of 10 chatty gals. She really knew her "stuff" and was fun, funny and a real treat! The grounds are quite lovely - a great place for a picnic. They also offer 2 for 1 tastings if you are a Visa Signature card holder. We bought several bottles of wine and had a great day - check it out!

Maggie C.

Yelp
Great place to be a member of wine club and to visit. Super careful Covid Precautions. Wonderful staff and delicious wines! We have been members for 10 years and they never disappoint!!

Yelp
Exceptional reds here. Really good, especially for fans of zin. Everything about Dutcher Crossing is pretty terrific actually, from the bucolic setting in the center of Dry Creek Valley, to the large, relatively-new tasting room where you sip surrounded by cathedral windows that open on to vine and mountain views, to the friendly, helpful staff. We loved this winery --there are some really good, drinkable wines, particularly reds here. They have such a beautiful situation under a leafy arbor set up for members. We got a tasting card from Bella (also a fun spot to taste in the area) for a free tasting, since they have a complimentary relationship, which made coming here even more convivial. After hearing so much about Dutcher Crossing wines from friends, such a nice surprise to find a place producing such consistently big tasty reds to be so friendly, easy going, and welcoming.

M.L. T.

Yelp
Wines are great, reasonably priced so we joined the wine club. Grounds are pretty but not spectacular. So don't go for the grounds. This really is a good lower to mid-priced wine. Not only did we join the club we took two bottles back to the house to have over our trip. The menu is good for any occasion and a wine you can drink with a normal dinner, not one hats so expensive you save it for special occasions. Our server was a little quirky but nice. Don't think he really knew how to handle our crazy group.

Yelp
Wine: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: Casual, relaxing Wine: An assortment of varietals, and all aged in either American, French, or European oak barrels. From Chardonnay, to Petit Syrah, they've got some great delicious flights available. Picnic: Probably one of the best views for an afternoon picnic in the Dry Creek Valley! Sipping on some vino with friends and family with rolling hills as your back drop will be the perfect relaxing escape away from the busier town of Healdsburg. They have a large grassy area to throw down a blanket old school style, or snag one of their picnic tables in some shade and enjoy your wine experience. First come, first serve for tables in the picnic area, but reservations are suggested for Friday-Sunday so you can call ahead and reserve your spot without any worries. Wine Club: They have 5 different memberships to choose from, which are customized pretty much to your varietal preferences. You can get an assortment, or do a red or white-only mix of their limited production wines with shipments throughout the year. Member benefits vary, but you'll get discounts on shipments, first choice on new releases, discounts on wines, discounts on merchandise, special event invitations, and comped tastings (+more for premium memberships). The Membership range is $55-$180 per wine shipment (actual membership free to join). Fun fact: The vintage high-wheel bicycle (the brand and on the labels of the wine) you'll see throughout the winery. A gift from her father, it represents their pursuit of quality, small-lot winemaking, her fathers imagination that keeps inspiring the wines, and the road ahead. A very sweet touch, and makes you feel a part of something special and close to their hearts. Tip: Throughout the year, Dutcher Crossing hosts some educational and interactive wine events - so make sure to get in touch with their team if you're interested. Overall experience: Pretty great! The place is more intimate and smaller for a tasting room - which everyone can appreciate, but the picnic area is what makes it unique. We brought a blanket with a great spread, purchased a couple bottles, and enjoyed the food, wine, sunshine, and beautiful scenery! Hours for easy reference: Tasting room & picnic area open 7 days a week 11:00am-5:00pm

Yelp
A tip from a friend and a weekend in the Wine Country, I knew even before arriving that I would be begging (BEGGING) to be a wine club member. But first I had to taste. We stopped in on a warm afternoon in May with two of our friends. Even before we had a chance to settle in, there were four glasses resting on the counter. We started off by tasting a rose which was the perfect way to begin our sampling. We ended sipping on a bold blend, it was then I scrambled for a wine club application. Every wine we tasted was phenomenal. But what impressed me more than anything else was the friendliness of the staff who not only touted their wines, but also made a list of other wineries that we might consider visiting in the area. That was major bonus points for me! The winery also has a nice picnic area in the back that we took full advantage of and had a wine and cheese lunch while taking in the views. The tasting room at Dutcher Crossing offers any wine lover one of the best tasting experiences in Dry Creek. The staff are down to earth, knowledgable and you gotta love the fact that are into "heavy pours". The associates are friendly and work hard to make sure that the tasters enjoyment is maximized.

Kathleen D.

Yelp
My husband has been a member at Dutcher Crossing for a few years. We have supported and loved the winery for much longer. Usually, we get great service. The wines are always very good. Today, the service was non-existent. We had a reservation but 'Abe' did not seem to realize we were members. He was trying to handle 3+ parties and lingered with the other tables a loooooong time. We waited 15+ minutes between 'pours' and eventually asked if we could get shorter gaps between tastings. Abe said 'sure' then proceeded to ignore us for even longer periods. I finally gave up and asked another team member if he was still at the winery. The guy said 'he's wrapping up with another table, he'll be right with you.' Another 10 minutes later... Abe rolls up like nothing happened. He eventually realized we were members and said 'is there anything particular you would like to taste - I'll open it. I'm a manager, I can open whatever I want.' We chose two wines on the sale list and he went to get them, came back and said he couldn't open them. OK, then why did you offer. Mind you, these were $65 wines - not $1,000 bottles. We love the wine but Abe needs to be more attentive to customers, even the ones who don't want to chat with him for 20 minutes at a time.

Chris S.

Yelp
I simply love the wines here. Each year at the passport to dry creek they nail at least one of my favorites from the entire trip. This year it was the 2015 Proprietor's Reserve Zin. My lord what a sexy wine. It is a full and wonderfully smooth and mellow yet not something you need a hunk of red meat to enjoy. As for the winery itself it is always ready to roll with the big crowds from passport and has some wonderful food pairings although I did miss the hog island oysters! Beautiful grounds and in the middle of all the fun in Sonoma. Bottle prices are reasonable and they ship in a nice solid box that holds up well.

Andrea K.

Yelp
Loved the wines here and the people are great too. It is also female-owned which always makes me happy! Half of our group joined the wine club (which then waives the $20 tasting fee). We were concerned about the tasting fee but obviously didn't need to be since the wines were so wonderful. The Syrah and Petite Syrah were my favorites. The grounds are also quite lovely to sit and enjoy a bottle if you wish. Definitely a tasty spot for reds!

Landon D.

Yelp
Our favorite vineyard, we have always had an amazing time. Our latest visit was when we stopped in Napa for a day on the way to our wedding in Oregon. We were very fortunate and had the 1st hour to ourselves, which was heavenly. We were able to catch up with some friends and enjoy the amazing views without much interruption. If you reserve early you might get so lucky, it was getting packed by the time we left at 12:30. The tasting was great and everything felt extremely covid safe. I would like to also thank the employee on staff that day, I apologize if I misremember his name as Daniel and it isn't, he has family in Long Beach / Socal Area. He really started our wedding trip on a bright note and that tone carried on for the rest of the week, thank you for your kindness as it really added to what was an amazing week for us. We bought a few bottles and ended up sharing them with some friends and family who traveled out to our wedding. We are long time fans of this winery and will continue to be in the future, if you are researching places to go just stop you found a great place!

Claudia C.

Yelp
This winery was impressive. Their wines have character. I tried one that was like smelling good cologne of someone walking by and you go, "whoa!" We just opened one at dinner here in LA and were just as amazed as the tasting. They have a good story too - ask about how the owner started her winery if they don't already openly share about it. Their wines just had that "je ne sais quoi." Very hard to describe but undoubtedly very noticeable difference to the palatte unlike a lot of the wines you try here. It's nice that a wine maker takes the grapes to a different level here. Beautiful views and a great place for a picnic too.

Lindsay M.

Yelp
We've been wine club members here for a little over three years and couldn't be happier. The wines are priced very reasonably (we receive six bottles of reds-only twice a year), and we're consistently impressed with their offerings. My husband and I visited the winery last week for a tasting and to enjoy their amazing views of the Dry Creek Valley. They were quite busy on a Saturday around 3pm, but the tasting room manager immediately gave us a warm welcome, cleared an area for a tasting, and introduced himself even before we told him we were club members. We were really blown away by their most recent release, the 2014 Chenoweth Vineyard Pinot Noir. It is still very young and will need decanting if you want to drink it now, but with the cherry and earthy notes, I can't wait to see what this develops into down the road. Don't forget to take a minute and go out onto the back patio to take in the views. There are several picnic tables under a pergola, which would be perfect for a picnic.

Merry C.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my tasting experience at Dutcher Crossing. Our server was fun and personable. She poured us wines that weren't on the tasting menu because she thought we would like them, and she was right, we left with a bag full of bottles. It had rained the day before our visit and the grounds were green and gorgeous. The tasting room has a wall of doors and windows that look out on the beautiful grounds and the whole room is warm and inviting. Dutcher Crossing has been added to our must stop list on Dry Creek Road.

Mary V.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise it was to discover this winery. The wines we tasted were all very good to exceptional. Many of their coveted wines are only available for sale to wine club members, and because they are one of only a handful of wineries with grape contracts with Maple vineyards, I had to join the wine club. Maple vineyards, in case you did not know, consistently produces the best Zinfandel grapes on the planet. I trust that any winery worthy to receive their coveted grapes has an equally worthy winemaker. That proved to be the case here. The staff was was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the wines. I highly recommend this winery!

Heather D.

Yelp
We are the tour guides. For anyone/everyone who comes to the SF Bay Area for a visit, hubby and I are invariably the tour guides. It's not like I'm complaining, but well, maybe I am... just a little. There are only so many times one can visit the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, the redwood trees... and (drum roll) wine country. On our last visit to "wine country," we made the best case we could for the Santa Cruz mountains, the central coast, heck, anything but Napa/Sonoma (again). But the sis-in-law was itching for Napa/Sonoma... so there we went. This time, however, we went off the beaten path, and went a bit farther up north, to the town of Healdsburg. We got there late in the day and so the goal was to hit as many wineries as we could, before closing time. We happened upon Dutcher Crossing, totally by accident, having already hit the big names, and having left each winery well, underwhelmed. We had 30 minutes left in our adventure and we spent all of it there. Honestly, there's just no reason to leave. Beautiful surroundings. Every wine - yes, EVERY WINE - that we tasted was delicious. The service was an 11+ - thanks to Chris Casey - wine pourer, mind reader, and entertainer, all wrapped into one knowledgeable, charismatic package. Hubby and I even left with a membership - something we have NEVER succumbed to, not in 20 years of winery visits. Do yourself a favor, skip the mobs of tourists, head up to beautiful Healdsburg and visit Dutcher Crossing. Hopefully, Chris will be there to serve you. And the next time that people come to visit you in the Bay Area, and want to visit the "wine country," you'll know just where to take them.

Anita P.

Yelp
The wines were amazing and Sabrina and Kim were great associates!!! It's a beautiful place and just had wonderful service and wine!!

Alison O.

Yelp
4 of us gals were sent here by Bella and converged on Chris, Amanda and Victoria. We were feisty, but they handled us with aplomb. Very generous in offering some side by side tastings and overall they have wide variety of offerings. It was a slow day but I could tell it will be even more fun when it's warmer. So I joined the club just for a reason to return.

Neice K.

Yelp
This was an amazing place to visit, the views were spectacular, but, mostly the hospitality and genuineness of the people is what won me over. I have tasted at many places in this area, and this was my favorite one. It takes just a little effort to make you feel welcome, yet, so many tasting rooms forget to make you feel special and valued. I was blown away by the wine, and, also the hospitality. Ryan and Amanda poured for me, then as a bonus I get to meet the winemaker talented Debra. Her yellow lab dog gave me kisses, showered me with tail wags, and showed off his toys, while I sipped great wine, it doesn't get better than that for me. I am a new wine club member, and will come back soon to meet more lovely people and drink great wine that is reasonably priced!

James F.

Yelp
DCW was a perfect way to start our wine tasting day. Always a beautiful setting and fantastic array of wines and stories behind each. Zach was a knowledgable and entertaining host. In our haste to get to Amista we forgot to pick up our wine purchase. No problem...Zach drove it over to us.Thank you!

Angee G.

Yelp
Came here on Sunday for DCV Passport weekend, of all the wineries I visited that day this was THE BEST! Great vibe, great food pairings, GREAT SERVICE! Everyone was so friendly & welcoming! I'll be sure to invite some friends and comeback in the near future. Thank you Dutcher Crossing for a wonderful experience.

Natalia M.

Yelp
This is our family's favorite winery in Sonoma.. usually not crowded with excellent wines and breathtaking views. We usually pack our own picnic and bring the food there.. the people working there are always nice and accommodating.. last time they even brought out plates and utensils for us! What I love most about the winery is that it's a big flat space where my toddler can run around and have fun.. and I can sip on excellent wine and watch him vs having to follow him everywhere.. now that's what I call relaxing!

Denny B.

Yelp
We tasted some very good wines here. Notable ones are: 2009 Maple Vineyard Zinfandel 2011 Proprietor's Reserve Zinfandel 2010 Proprietor's Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2011 Stuhlmuller Vineyard Chardonnay We bought some 2011 PR Zin. $29 each was a non-member price. Strongly recommend a vist for tasting. Nice area for picnics. Strong line-up of wines promises to please just about anybody's palate. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/dutcher-crossing-winery-healdsburg?select=SDauoExZTIbDsOwganzUTw#SDauoExZTIbDsOwganzUTw

Yelp
I love stopping in at this winery when I am in the Dry Creek area. Dutcher Crossing features lovely Chardonnays and Zins. They have friendly staff and a beautiful contemporary tasting room. The view is wonderful especially when you can sit outside in nice weather. The tasting menu is not extensive but what you do get to taste is very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend visiting this tasting room especially if you are new to wine tasting.

Suzanne W.

Yelp
Great wines, beautiful view, friendly tasting room staff. You should become a member here especially if you want to have some maple vineyard zin. :-) Members can reserve their wonderful patio for a picnic lunch too.

Yelp
What a great, friendly place! Their wine is delicious, and their customer service is second to none! Ask for Chris for a light-hearted, informative tasting of Dry Creek Valley's best wine.

Yelp
I had a great experience here for my birthday with my friends and would highly recommend choosing this winery. The employee that helped us was very attentive, and let us wander around the grounds and take pictures. The views were amazing! I would definitely come back!

Yelp
GO. HERE. NOW. The wine is superb. Just see how quickly they sell out of their most popular wines. If you like reds, this is the place to go! But don't forget to check out their amazing Sauvignon Blanc. I tend to not like grassy Sauvi B's. Theirs is crisp and minerally. Their Chardonnays are also an award winner. Not buttery and oakey, but beautifully smooth. Especially the Chenoweth Chardonnay. For the reds I love the bold Cabs, while the rest of our group loved the Pinot Noir. You really cannot go wrong with any of their wines. The amazing thing about Dutcher is that they care most about family. It starts with Debra, the proprietor, and the story of Dutcher Crossing. You'll have to go there to learn about it. Each wine has a story behind it and you feel that you are part of the the large Dutcher family when you are there. Today we took my in-laws there for a tasting. We had a truly exceptional time with Amanda, the newest team member. She went above and beyond our expectations. And, of course, there is Collin, the amazing tasting room manager who greets everyone with his amazing smile and personality. When we arrived I introduced my in-laws who are visiting from Virginia. Without skipping a beat, Collin told us about the great wines that are coming out of Virginia and some wineries they should look into when they get back home. Who does that?! I've been to plenty of wineries where the people behind the counter couldn't care less where you are from, let alone make you feel so welcome. Amanda is a former school teacher who is amazingly charming. As my mother-in-law said, "I feel like I've known her all my life!" She is incredibly knowledgeable about the wines and really took the time to answer questions. She's a GREAT addition to Dutcher. If you can, call for a private tasting and ask if Amanda is available. Trust me, you won't regret it. Thank you Debra, Dutchess, Miranda, Cali, Nick, Collin, Amanda and all of the Dutcher Family! You're all amazing!!!

Yelp
We first came here with a group of 18 to start our wine tasting and we were so happy we stopped by. Not many wineries are willing to accommodate such a large group, but since it was earlier in the day, we got two private tables in the courtyard. We tasted 5 wines for 5 bucks. I'm not a wine connoisseur by any means, but they were all great! I typically don't like whites, but they have some of the best Chardonnay I've ever had. Our group went home with a few bottles of it. With the beautiful views, great wine, and younger feel to it, we decided to join the wine club. There are wine club parties almost every month and you get two bottles of wine 4 times a year. Definitely one of the most affordable wine clubs in the area. I could go on and on saying great things about the winery, but you'll have to check it out yourself. They only sell their wine at the winery, which is another good reason to stop by!

Yelp
It's easy to fall in love with this place. The views. Their story. The wines. We came late afternoon as the sun was just about to fall behind the mountains, and my goodness... what a sight. Our host was incredibly gracious with the pours, and while I prefer reds, their whites were drinkable! The reds... wow. Absolutely loved their syrah and had one of the best zins on our trip. This place is super laid back, has a charm/coziness that cannot be easily replicated, and is downright magical just before the sun goes down.

Yelp
It's a cute winery with ok wines but being up in wine county there are plenty of other places to go to. It's ridiculous that they charge 20 for a tasting fee regardless of buying wine. I would never come back here again.

Yelp
I've been a club member at Dutcher Crossing for over 2 years now. I fell in love with the beautiful tasting room and picnic grounds. Now they have expanded and included a bocci ball court and a small garden. The views are incredible and worth the drive up to the top of Dry Creek Road. Not to mention that the drive is picturesque as well. Inside there is a fireplace and a few comfy chairs to sit and relax, but I am usually outside enjoying the ever changing view of the hillside and vineyards. I am always delighted in the wines and never disappointed. My favorites are all of their red wines, Cabs, Zins and Pinots as well as the Petite Syrah and Syrah. Delicious.

Yelp
Love them! We went here on the recommendation of my boss, who is no slouch in the wine department for sure. Thanks boss! We were not disappointed. Nice tasting room and grounds, excellent wines, very friendly (and funny) staff, plus an interesting story (these are the folks who founded Perrier water) behind the winery. Liked them so much we joined their wine club and brought home several bottles. Looking forward to enjoying the fruits of their labor (har har) for a long time to come. At the time of this writing, we particularly liked the Proprietor's Reserve Cab-Syrah blend, the Nevins Cab (needs to lay down for a while), the Stuhlmuller Vineyards Chard and the Maple Zin. Very much worth a visit.. enjoy.
