Came in on a rainy day for lunch looking to try a nice soup! Ordered the joy noodle spicy soup and coconut drink. Owners are very friendly and helpful when choosing food to try out. Will definitely come back to try out more of their food. Also grabbed a slice of cake that they make in house. The cake is delicious! It’s moist and perfectly sweet. They offer vanilla, strawberry, chocolate and cheesecake - all vegan

Google
Delicious food and very friendly people. Also priced in line with real Gietnamese places rather than like most vegan restaurants. I would eat here all the time if I lived in Dallas .

Google
First time here my wife recommended the place never been to a vegan restaurant before. It was surprisingly really good though I'm a carnivore at heart. Definitely recommend service is fantastic

Google
Great vegan food. The best service ever. The location is not the best (it's in an older strip mall), but who cares when the food and people are so awesome. My whole family has enjoyed their other location for a decade. Now we've found this little hidden gem and are thrilled to get the same great quality, selection, and friendliness. Their vegan cakes are so delicious. The sponge is moist, and the frosting is so light and delicate. And they always have great flavors from chocolate to lemon to purple ube yam. Decadent! They always remember us and even have my little daughter's order memorized with her modifications. Love that it's always 100% vegan.

Google
I went to get some great vegan food from this restaurant today. On first impression, it's tucked away next to and behind the Asian supermarket food court. Right next to the restaurant there is a strong meat and fish odor BUT in the restaurant there is none. I was worried about the odor but the restaurant had a pleasant smell of food cooking. The decor was simple and thoughtful. The service was fast and simple. We ordered 2 types of noodles soup, one was the regular pho and the other was their spicy vermicelli soup (pictured below). Both these dishes were reasonably priced for the size. The tofu and protein were fresh and the broth was very flavorful. All in all, I hope to come back here and get more of their dishes soon.

Google
I love this place. I hadn’t been in years because I lived closer to Goji Cafe but I’m glad to see familiar faces and the same reliable service. The food is so good and satisfying. Everyone I have taken here have loved the food whether they are vegan or omnivorous. I’m glad they have the sesame broccoli tofu -it’s sooo good and addictive! Also no longer have butchers lining the hallway to the restaurant!

Sri B.

Google
A good vegan restaurant. Inside of grocery store though separate from it, gives a different vibe. The smell doesn't carry into the restaurant, so that's definitely good. Enjoyed the food. The peanut sauce is a little watered down than expected losing it's taste. Interesting spices, not very hot but definitely not bland. Liked the dishes. The sandwich as an appetizer is tasty but might taste better with some kind of curry or spices to it.

Google
IT WAS SO GOOD!!!! So worth the drive.

Yelp
4.5/5 Food 5/5 Service The concept of vegan Viet food never crossed my mind until I found this place. And they did not disappoint. I'm not vegan myself, but I was very pleasantly surprised by how well the original flavors of these dishes were captured. The food tended to lean sweet and less umami (no meat type flavor, so of course). However, that still didn't stop this place from cresting delicious food. I would love to visit again and bring more people to be experience vegan viet food too!

Wonda B.

Yelp
The food was dry and unseasoned . No flavor at all and the price was to high for what you got

Monique J.

Yelp
So yummy i had the vegan ramen with veggie spring rolls. Made fresh to my order i highly recommend

Phillip B.

Yelp
This was a pretty good meal. Full vegan menu, this would make for really good late night vegan food after drinking and a night out. Staff was pleasant and the food was pretty good

Joel F.

Yelp
I had the crispy roll noodles which was absolutely filling and delicious. The service was quick and with smile. It was very quiet when I came by and it was a comfortable and calm vibe. This place is 100% vegan and I definitely call on all vegans to support this place! A pleasant experience overall.

Yelp
Was looking for vegetarian food in Dallas and came upon this unassuming place. It's located inside Hong Kong supermarket in the back, but there's a sign out front you can see from the parking lot. There's a good amount of seating and you can just seat yourself wherever. They will bring you a menu or you can order at the counter. There's a slight language barrier when ordering, but for the most part it's fine and they can also just go by the numbers on the menu for what you want. My favorite things to get there are prob the pho and tofu spring rolls (#2). The bun bo hue and bu loc lac are also very solid and flavorful. The bun rieu is a bit light in flavor for me, but can be a more refreshing broth if that's what you're looking for. Food comes out pretty quick so that's always a plus. The staff is super friendly, service is quick, no frills, good food. Will be back to try other items.

Violet R.

Yelp
Love this spot so much! The food is so yummy! So much flavor. I highly recommend. This is inside a shopping center.

Liz O.

Yelp
Came here with my fiancé since we were fasting meat & dairy. Friendly service & food is good. Hole in wall type of place. The restaurant is in an indoor shopping center. When you walk into the shopping center the smell isn't pleasant. But we definitely didn't care since we went back.

Brice P.

Yelp
Good options and family-owned. The only vegan place in a plaza full of authentic Asian food from several cultures (Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean). Service isn't fast, but everything is cooked to order. If speed matters to you, order takeout.

Tony L.

Yelp
It's a hole in the wall kind of spot sitting inside a shopping mall. The staff are so kind and wonderful, and the dishes are delicious. My fiancé and I really enjoyed this place! One thing to keep in mind is to go early because they close down the kitchen around 7pm, even though the front door says 8pm.

Klyne S.

Yelp
Fantastic food. Excellent food selection, fast service, and solid environment. Great restaurant for vegans and non-vegans. Six of us went and only one was a vegan everyone enjoyed their meals

Christopher T.

Yelp
This is one of Dallas hidden gems, especially when it comes to Vegan dishes. Customer service is great! Facility is dated, clean. Food did not take long to come out. The taste really hit the spot for me, as I was traveling on personal business. I just wish they were closer. I order 2 of their meals and did not go wrong with either. If ever you find yourself in the area and looking for a really good vegan dish, give them a try. Thanks again! Bye-Bye

Moi B.

Yelp
Went today and it was so good - definitely try the banh mi or any noodle soups! For some reason another reviewer from earlier today said it was closed, but I just ordered and they didn't say anything. Try it out!

Flks L.

Yelp
Finally found a place that serves Pho with veggie broth! This place is awesome, hidden inside a little plazza right next to the Hong Kong supermarket. Came here with 2 of my friends, and we all enjoyed the food. I had the Pho which came with a generous portion of tofu and protein (seitan, I think), and it was very flavorful. My friends got rice dishes and they were great too For appetizers we got spring rolls that were good, but the sauce on the side did not have much flavor. Overall good. We also shared the chicken tenders. These were perfectly cooked, were delicious, and served with ketchup. The place is spatious and clean, and the service was super fast. We got all the food at once, which is ok considering we went there 30 mins before they closed for the night.... so big thank you for accommodating us.

Chris G.

Yelp
My daughter had a coach roach in her soup. She was throwing up in the trashcan outside the strip mall as they were charging me for the meal. No bueno.

Micky C.

Yelp
I've heard of this place for years but haven't ever been until today. Between me & my friend we had the chow mein, crispy spring roll noodles, crispy spring rolls, spring rolls with peanut sauce, and Thai tea. It was all really good! The chow mein had (vegan) beef and it was surprisingly delicious! The Thai tea was so tasty - I hadn't had one of those since I went vegan. Service was no frills, a bit of a language barrier but no big deal if you order by the numbers on the menu. Now that I've been once, I definitely would like to come back & try other things.

Sebastian G.

Yelp
Food, service, ambiance are very good I really recommend it, I ordered the sweet and sour chicken, and happy rice I am definitely going back. They are always close on Tuesdays

McKinney G.

Yelp
we took a chance and tried this place, and I'm so glad we did. A friendly greeting from the owner, prompt service, and delicious, vegan fare.

Kiana G.

Yelp
This food is amazing! The soup is so good, I am willing to drive 30 minutes to pick it up. The atmosphere is not the greatest, but as a student I can come here and study and read, it's very quiet on a weekday in the early afternoon. And the service has been very sweet, they accommodate me asking to add things, and they are SUPER FAST. They have a fake meat, soy protein in some of their soups and it looks so real I thought it was real meat the first time I came and had to double check there was no meat. Lol

Ayanna M.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. The service and food is always amazing! I get the Pho and Crispy rolls and they're so tasty - beats any vegan pho you can find in other restaurants. It is spacious and has lots of seating. You walk through a small outlet mall to get to the restaurant.

Apple C.

Yelp
I have been to the restaurant since it has opened in 2015. I know the owners and almost every employee. Ambiance: The atmosphere has hardly change since 2015. They haven't upgrade to anything new and the bathroom can be a bit smelly, but I know the employees clean it very often. Food: The Food is Great. My highest recommendation is the Shredded Tofu Broken Rice, Spicy Lemongrass Rice, Broccoli Rice. Vietnamese Pho, Bun Lau Cao Noodle Soup. Service is extremely quick between 10 ish or so minutes for the food to be ready. However, if you want to work for this restaurant, the pay is very poor for about 7-9 dollars an hour. The lady-owner is very needy on their money and doesn't like to raise their employees... :(( Overall, If you ever looking for a vegan Asian cuisine, you can come here to enjoy delicious vegan food.

Stephenie N.

Yelp
This place is in a terrible neighborhood and the building that this place is in is absolutely disgusting. The food is lackluster and I would not recommend to go.

Avery G.

Yelp
I wanted to give a vegan place some support while we were in Dallas but there was a cockroach in my soup. This was pointed out to management and they apologized and insisted we pay for the meal. Totally disgusting. I threw up outside the restaurant immediately afterwards. Terrible experience.

Marilyn B.

Yelp
We decided to try this all-vegan restaurant for a late lunch while visiting Dallas. It's inside of a small mall next to the Hong Kong Market Place. There was nobody else at 1:30 pm so we sat down right away and a lady came right away with menus and water. We ordered spring rolls with peanut sauce, and the happy fried rice and veggie noodles to share. The spring rolls came out right away. They were mainly tasteless noodles and a thin slice of tofu so the peanut sauce was essential to provide flavor the rolls. They were good. The happy fried rice had lots of small pieces of carrots, peas, tofu and soy protein, and a few broccoli florets. The best ingredient of this dish was the chopped onions. I added sriracha and soy sauce for more flavor. The veggie noodles had lots of soft noodles and big pieces of fresh crunchy broccoli, carrots, celery, zucchini, peppers, onions, cabbage, bamboo shoots, tofu and soy protein. The soy protein had a nice flavor of clove and cinnamon. This dish was too oily for my taste and didn't have much heat so I added sriracha. Overall, the food was good, the place was clean and the service was fast.

Kay U.

Yelp
Late post: I was visiting a relative in the area and found this place through another website. Friendly cashier/waiter. Food tastes okay with reasonable prices but not recommended for dine-in at this place. To-go/ Takeout customers were given first priority even though we ordered before those customers. Note: If you're a strict Asian vegetarian (religious reason), you might have to ask the chef/cook to hold off certain ingredients.

Rachel S.

Yelp
Super sweet old couple who crank out some really delicious fully vegan Thai dishes in the back of an Asian supermarket. Unassuming appearance but consistent and well seasoned dishes with plenty of fresh produce. One of our regular spots, and we aren't all vegan.

Hisayo P.

Yelp
THE VEGAN MAGIC!!! Finally tried the place eyeing for a long time. Had #3 fresh spring rolls and #31 lemongrass noodle salad. I think it had faux beef in it. It was so good I scuffed up so fast. The dipping sauce of the salad felt too salty but when I poured it over the food just perfect!! Loved how well they crafted the food. The faux beef looked like beef and was chewy like beef. Amazing!!! It's a bit sketchy location inside of Hong Kong Market, but I guess that's how it is. Don't get discouraged. Fantastic vegan magic is waiting for you behind the door

Morgen S.

Yelp
Second best pho in Dallas! Friendly, old style Asian restaurant. Delicious, satisfying comfort food.

Coleen R.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious!!! Vegan pho on a cold day just hit the spot!! The flavors were so good and filled with vegetables and vegan meat!

Caitlin V.

Yelp
I'm Viet and have grown up eating all the amazing viet soups- bun rieu, banh canh, hu tieu, pho, etc. Recently, I've been trying to become more plant based and I was worried I'd never find something that compared to the soups I grew up with and loved. I don't know how they do it, but the bun bo hue tasted like the real deal. It was so flavorful and reminded me of my childhood. Thank you for existing D'Vegan.

Keven W.

Yelp
This review is coming from someone that is not a vegan and a full meat eater. But I came here because my brother's family is either vegan or eat seafood, so meat is a limited option. This place is instead of a Vietnamese shopping center in the back. The place is inside and huge, but looks a little dirty inside and a hole in the wall. It was not busy at the time we ate. Prices overall were not bad as I know being vegan can be expensive. I ordered the "beef" chow fun. Overall, I was a little disappointed as the noodle was hard. The beef just taste like tofu. It was not too bad.

Megha V.

Yelp
SO GOOD! And so so happy to find a place with not just many vegan authentic Vietnamese/asian options but the WHOLE MENU WAS! The sweet and sour "chicken" was soo good the soy chunks were flavored so well, and same with the Lemon Grass Noodle the tofu/soy "beef" was INCREDIBLY flavorful. Truly one of the best vegan/vegetarian places I have ever been to and so happy people are putting in the effort and showing others that it is possible to make any cuisine taste almost just as good as original meat based recipes. As a lifelong vegetarian, the struggle to find equally good meals as my meat eating friends is so hard, especially with cultural cuisines that are based heavily in meat or people don't put effort into their (very few) vegan/vegetarian options on their restaurant menus and I'm used to having to eat and pay for very mediocre food. Will be returning!!

Avi B.

Yelp
Went here for some vegan pho on a rainy day and it couldn't have been more perfect. They were happy to accommodate all our customizations. The broth and the noodles were both very good.

Brian N.

Yelp
W O W Came here to eat three things, the bun no hue, the cha cha shrimp, and the bo luc lac! Omgosh the shrimppppp taste SOOOO GOOOD If you order this, definitely ask for their vegan "fish sauce" to eat with the rice (if u wanna). I actually like this way better than regular fish sauce because there is no strong scent. The shaken "beef" was also super delish and gives you a sense of a fulfilling future of killing less animals & with this dish comes the most protein (: Last but not least, the bun no hue is AMAZING if you are a fan of the original dish! It's similar & animal friendly, I'm glad I came here and I'll FOR SURE be back hehe

Tom L.

Yelp
Good Vietnamese vegan foods. First time here and will be back. Reasonable price. Close at 7 pm on Sunday

Manuel C.

Yelp
I am by no means a vegan or vegetarian... We are currently in the middle of a 21 day, Daniel Fast. Which is just a vegan diet in desquise. We have not eaten out to east since last year! We thought our only option was going to be Jason's Deli, for the salad bar. But before dinner tonight, I thought I'd give veggies a search on yelp. D'Vegan popped right up. Read some reviews and found pics of the menu, & just had to stop in for a visit. Didn't know exactly where to find it. Since all the map shows is that it's right next to Bistro B. I was thinking it was just in the food court between Bistro B & the market. That's exactly where it is, at the end of the food court. It's an actual restaurant. We arrived just after 7pm on a Saturday. I was nervous when we walked in, and found only a couple of tables in use. But we found our own table and sat down. It took about 5 minutes for someone to notice us and bring us a menu. After that he came and took our drink order. At first this guy didn't seem very nice. But after I let him know this was our first time here & asked for some recommendations, he seemed nicer. After making his recommendations, we chose the Crispy Rolls, Crispy Strips, Delight Flat Noodles & Shaken Beef. So the Crispy Rolls, were just some crispy vegetable spring rolls. They were actually pretty good though. The Crispy Strips on the other hand, were not very crispy. They tasted pretty good, but I just feel they were very fresh. Almost the texture of a baked chicken nugget. The rest of our dinner was very tasty. It was really hard to believe that the Shaken Beef wasn't actually made with beef. Even my 6 year old loved it! We will definitely be coming back, even after our fast is through!

Nguyet T.

Yelp
I highly recommend their Bun Bo Hue and Bun Cao Lau. Their broths are to die for. This is one of the best vegan soup that I've tried so far. Definitely will come back for more!

Ai Vy N.

Yelp
If you're a vegan? Come here! If you're Asian? Come here! If you love healthy, cheap food? Come here! Everyone just needs to come here ASAP and support this awesome place! They deserve a crap load of credits and a whole lot more business for their delicious, cheap, vegan food!!! I've had this place bookmarked for probably about 2 years now, never thought about coming here cuz every time that I'm in the area, I'd either go to Bistro B or La Me which are all located in the same strip mall. Plus, y would I want vegan vietnamese food, when I can have real Vietnamese food? And the whole time I thought D'Vegan was one of those prepared/fast food place, not sure y, but a full on service/sit down restaurant never crossed my mind when it came to this place. Until my SO started doing his "research" and found this place after me complaining for a lil while that I was craving noodles soup. (that's y he's a keeper ;) ) At first glance, the restaurant is not appealing whatsoever from the outside. Located in the back of Hongkong market shopping center. It looks somewhat deserted, the inside is not any better, dark, too big with too many tables and not a lot of customers. If you can get over all that, trust me, you'll be in for a surprise. The ladies who work here are very nice and sweet. They got much nicer and were surprised after hearing me speak Vietnamese to them lol. For starter, we got the vegetable "egg rolls", and the shredded tofu spring rolls. Both were great. The vegetables in the egg rolls were not mushy like most places. The shredded tofu spring rolls taste a lot similar to the non-vegan version. My SO had the lemongrass "beef" vermicelli and enjoyed it a lot. Their sauce tastes like fish sauce but without the fishy smell. My vietnamese udon noodle soup (banh canh "tom") had a lot of flavor and was a lot like the regular banh canh which was very surprising. This place by far is the cheapest vegan/healthy food restaurant I have been to. I just wish it was closer to me so I could come here more often, but for now, I'll just suck it up and pay more at Spiral and cook more at home.

Shundria R.

Yelp
I ventured out to try a new vegan spot. The food was ok. The lighting dingy and the smell was awful. It was difficult to sit and enjoy the meal. The cashier was nice but it took a while to get the food. I don't recommend it.

Sammie P.

Yelp
The food here was really good and decently priced. I wasn't expecting the location. It's very hidden away and if I hadn't known about it from Google I probably never would have found it. The service was rather slow but didn't really bother me. The interior was a little dirty but it didn't turn me away completely and I'm glad I gave the food a chance. Food was fairly priced and tasted great. I love knowing I can order anything on the menu without having to question if it's vegan.

Michael C.

Yelp
I can't reconcile these reviews and pictures with the place I walked into today. It smelled like death, literally like something was rotting in the entire building. How can somebody eat in a place like that? Moreover it was not clean at all. In terms of ambience truly an unpleasant place I would not go there.

Jennifer F.

Yelp
When I walked in, I almost thought I was in the wrong place. It's kind of hidden, which makes it all that much more fun. Truly a hole in the wall type spot. It feels authentic and the building reminds me of my visit to China a few years back. The workers are also very accommodating. I really can't think of any place like this that I've been to. Also, your non vegan friends will still love it; however, if you're vegan or vegan curious, you gotta go. It'll change you!

Rachel S.

Yelp
My sister and I ordered spring rolls and the udon noodle soup ($14.50) and while we still had room for more, the food was definitely very tasty! They even have a few extra snacks like vegan jerky and biscuits available for purchase at the counter.

Ahnah H.

Yelp
Besties don't come here I ordered the spicy cha cha shrimp and the pad Thai as entrees as well as summer rolls and fried spring rolls as appetizers which were ok however the two entrees were disgusting. The cha cha shrimp was so dry. It was literally 5 pieces of battered shrimp on top of A LOT of sautéed bell peppers and jalapeño cubes with a side of rice?? It was so bad. Ok now let's talk about the pad fucking thai. Ew, literally traumatizing. There were rice noodles( like there are in pad thai) DROWNING in a sauce that doesn't taste anything remotely close to pad thai like ugh I can't even describe what that tasted like. The noodles were so start by and sticky and SLIMY LIKE I CAN'T FUCKING BELIVE, the noodles also had a crunchy texture like they were not cooked properly. It was topped with spicy sautéed cabbage AND I KID YOU NOT THERE WAS A FUCKING HAIR ON IT LOOK AT THE PIC SEE THE SHORT BLACK HAIR????? Anyways please never come here ps I am vegan and have been for 8 years~

Kristel M.

Yelp
Authentic and SO MANY options! I purchased several meals to go so I'd have lunch for the days to come. Never ate there before, nor do I eat international food much, so I was really taking a chance on buying so much. Not one meal disappointed. All were tasty! Very reasonably priced. Very pleasant people who work there. Food was prepared quickly too! I'll definitely be back.

Kristi C.

Yelp
Finally a place I can go to and not ask "does this have meat in it?" I've been eyeing this place for a while now- I see it every time I go to Bistro B. However, they close pretty early (8 PM), so I was never able to try it. BUT THE DAY HAS FINALLY COME! I came with my friends around 6:00 on a Friday night and found it surprisingly pretty empty. Everything on the menu looked really good and of course, was all vegan! I love how descriptive the menu is- it tells you exactly what's in the dish, so you don't have to ask! I ordered spring rolls with shredded tofu as well as the Golden Noodle Soup. The spring rolls were amazing- the shredded tofu was flavorful and delicious. It doesn't come with your traditional peanut sauce, but whatever sauce they gave, it was good! The Golden Noodle Soup was delicious- the broth was light yet flavorful and came with two types of noodles (your traditional pho noodle as well as a golden noodle) and lots of assorted vegetables and tofu. The price is pretty cheap as well compared to most Vietnamese restaurants. I'll definitely be back to try all the other stuff on their menu!

Tiffany B.

Yelp
Great service and great food. It does look like a dive but sometimes those are the best. Menu options are diverse and food was flavorful. Kung Poe "chicken", fried rice, spring rolls, and flat noodles. A little more broccoli on the noodles and a little more flavor in the rice would have made this a 5. Also they could not accept my credit card. They DO take cards just not the one I carry. Unfortunately she couldn't tell me why.

Wesley C.

Yelp
Went here for lunch today and had the vegetarian pho based on feedback from another review. It contained a fair amount of tofu which was great. The broth and the noodles were perfect as well. I'll be back for sure.

Meh B.

Yelp
Service was lackluster, maybe because of the language barrier. Not a fan of the (soy protein aka fake beef). Ordered the Spicy Joy noodle. Spring rolls were delicious. I mean it was questionable of the cleanliness but all food is a risk. Location is weird because of the other vendors prior to reaching the restaurant. I'm used to the smell but that can be a distraction for some. All was good. Just wished more tofu was in my dish.
