We visited this candy store at The Grove with our kids, and what was supposed to be a fun, happy experience turned into one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. The store itself looks nice, with lots of different gummies, candies, and fun things for kids. Naturally, my children were excited looking at all the different options. My 3-year-old tried one candy, didn’t like it, and then picked out something else he wanted. We had already chosen two bags of candy we were ready to buy, and then my son picked a big rainbow lollipop. Everything was fine until one of the employees approached us in a very rude and humiliating way, telling us to “stop sampling” and even saying we should “be ashamed.” First of all, the candies and gummies are openly displayed in a way that makes it seem like you can taste before buying (like many candy shops do). But even if there was a misunderstanding, the way she spoke to us — in front of my kids — was completely unprofessional and unnecessary. We were paying customers, not people trying to take advantage of the store. To make things worse, when I went to pay, I handed her cash and she snapped that they don’t accept “larger bills,” with the same bad attitude. I switched to another note, but at that point the entire experience was already ruined. Candy stores are supposed to be fun, joyful places for families and kids. Instead, this employee turned it into a humiliating and stressful situation. We walked in excited, and walked out disappointed and upset. I hope management sees this and realizes that the way customers (especially families with little kids) are treated makes all the difference. We will not be coming back unless something changes.

I give this place four stars, they needed to clean sticky floors, but over all candy lovers dream come true . The candy was just right ✅️. They are also affordable not too pricey. Parking validation is only for the farmers market side .

We came with our kids expecting a fun candy experience, but instead the store felt dirty, the candy wasn’t very good, and the staff was rude. One employee even embarrassed us in front of our children for no reason. Very disappointing visit — we won’t be back.

The worker was friendly and gave us a marshmallow for free that he accidentally messed up on, then gave another proper one for our milkshake. The AC is nice in here. The worker doesn’t mind you watching him make your drinks.

I purchased charms lolly pop with no gum I found them to be stale chewy and broken. Seems stock are not rotated or checked for defects. Not very happy with my purchase, will not be getting anything else from them.

Really nice experience with Dylan. I was able to ask what was the most unique candies that stood out to her out of everything in stock. She gave me a store walk through and was detailed from each category of candy. I appreciate that because she dedicated energy and effort into doing that. I think ended up buying the birthday cake white chocolate balls, pink m&ms, the rainbow gummy rainbow Lego type blocks, and an assortment of old style taffies and international candies. They service ice cream flavors as well. I spent more than $25-30 so I got a free bag of cherry red bears. It was a great experience. I saw my childhood favorite candy still surviving (runts- the fruit variety). They accept Apple Pay.

This candy bar is just ok in my opinion. It might be great for "today" kids who only like the gummy type candy. I think I was expecting more options like the candy options at its sugar. They do have a nostalgic candy wall in the back but not too many options there either. The store is decorated beautifully which probably attracts the crowd because of the look and not the candy options. If I was a kid I would definitely want to go into the store. They also have a ice cream/shake bar near the back. I didn't see any vegan or plant base options. The service was just ok. There wasn't any staff walking the floor to help with questions. Overall my experience was not the best but I might still go back to the store because it's at the grove and that's my favorite place to be.

We were at the farmers market. We came across Dylans candy bar. My daughter wanted to buy some candy from LA another farmers market so she bought a few bags of candy. They were over priced and she said they were OK. She gave them a 3

Sweet tooth land!!! We love candy so we could not say no to this spot! Be ready though! I saw another review mentioning "pricey" and they are not wrong! There is not much of a difference in taste other than flavors, same candies just coated differently..some are sugar coated, some are not, some are sour and some are sweet, some are softer and some are more rough. The place has hundreds if not, thousands of different candies, gummies to pick from! If you love sweets, than this is your heaven!!!! Love that they were welcoming buuuut definitely over priced.

I adore this store! The staff are all very friendly and helpful. My grandma is obsessed with black licorice and requests a bag of all their black licorice goodies anytime I come here! Super cute spot with great selection!

Make sure to visit the Pucker Powder machine and M&M station.

Bright colorful artfully decorated way to sell everything under the sun... Cha ching! The have merchandise oh yes they do! They sell jewelry, tee shirts almost anything else you could imagine, Oh yeah they also have candy... Retro candy, cool candy, slimy candy all kinds of candy. All the while they're playing really good music about candy... You can smell the candy... You feel like you're actually in Candyland! They are walking around giving out free samples of their best candies... It's a very happy place. And while it's crazy expensive, It's a definite experience... Mass marketing by a rich kid selling candy dreams. The gift baskets are crazy expensive, but... Customized for you and they will ship almost anywhere in the world. Very clean store. Very pretty store. While I wouldn't bring young children here myself because they will want EVERYTHING!! It's a child's heaven...

Ilove candy, idk why but I do. Their candy was so stale. Omg so stale.. Used to be quality but my guess is the pandemic ended that. My guess is they changed candy providers to much cheaper quality and raised the prices. They serve them in 10 dollar packages and they taste worse than gas station generic candy. It's dollar candy sold for ten dollars. Total garbage operation.

Even before the pandemic started, another great place to satisfy my sweet tooth. I still remember the first time I was introduced to this candy store back in the early 2010's. This place has all the candy you can think of, including gummy bears, AirHeads, chocolate bars and you can even bag up some candy to try different sweets.

When you want candy, where else does one go beside Dylan's. This place is small but sure packs a punch when it comes to candies. They have a mean selections of candies ranging from your childhood favorites to the newer and more elaborate flavors. The classic chocolate, salty sweet, candy salt, jawbreaker, hummus, Swedish fish,, so on and so on. Beside the candies, there's also a ice cream section. Plenty of gifts offered there as well. It does get pretty crowded so be prepared to maneuver your way around people doing the same thing your doing, shopping for candy. The candy bar is based on pound. I believe it was 7.99 a pound. Grab a bag and fill it up with whatever your heart desire. Don't be fool on looks. It does add up depending on what goes in that bag of yours.

This place is AMAZING! So much awesome Candy! And they have great Ice Cream flavors as well! There is so many candy options to choose from once you walk in and the staff is super welcoming and helpful! It made my whole experience there such a delight. This place brought back so many great memories with the amount of selection they have . Friendly tip!: Be sure to ask for help when selecting some of the candy from the bins. (It needs to be weighed and then sold to you) -I originally came in just to check this place out and left with a bag full of candy that I thought didn't exist and with two of their strawberry ice cream scoops! I definitely recommend this shop based off of their selection and service . Also, it is a great spot for restocking your favorite candy snack or grabbing some great Ice cream.

I was at Dylan's Candy Bar on Saturday the 10th I was greeted by Elizabeth who suggested me with some of my new favorite candy! Strawberry Sour Belts. And when I came to check out I believe the GM Stephanie checked me out who was super kind! Great service and great candy.

Stale candy if you get the gummies from the bins also the customer service is such a hit or miss, be warned DO NOT USE APPLE PAY. I've never had a problem at this store until my purchase completely went through and they took money out of my account. I showed the cashier (young/middle aged lady with darker hair) because it's literally PROOF, it was not pending. I asked to see her screen so she could show me how it didn't go through and she refused. I had to go through a whole process with my bank and they confirmed the store did take money out. Super sketchy, you can tell they're losing business because their quality has gone down while prices are overpriced and they're trying to scam a measly amount.

This place is a parent's worst nightmare. The décor is super bright and inviting. Located just between the Grove and Farmer's market. You'll likely be walking right by it on your next visit with your kid lol. Anyway, I went in with my family who were visiting from out of town. They all ended up buying something. They have all sorts of candy, from the past and present. The candy is pricy, but I'm guessing it works at a place like this and I'm sure rent is not cheap. You notice that a lot of celebrities have been through here. They've signed their autographs on some boxes of candy in a display case. It's pretty much diabetes waiting to happen. OHHH, I want to try the ice cream. Yes! They have ice cream too!

The Best! Located in the Grove this is the cutest little candy store! I especially like this location, near mall staples like Mendocino Farms, Paper Source, and American Girl. I also love they have a little "Sour" section! It features candies that are all very sour. They also have licorice candies and lots of chocolates! The store is pretty and well decorated. I could imagine why kids love these kinds of stores. Dylan's Candy Bar is a great store-although it's pretty crowded sometimes.

I've been at the grove million times but eent to this store for the forst time yesterday. I picked 4-5 lollipops and went to the cashier. When asked the price she said it's 25 cents each, i said oh let me grap a few more. When O got back she robged $12! I was like wow how dod it get to that much. She sais actually those were $1 each , ot used to be 25 c. I was like well i know that the total Amount is mot much, but how can you NOT mention that the itemnis actually is not 25 cents but it's 4 times more?!? So thay was my first and the last experience and why I'm writing is this - is so you be careful with those liars!

Dylan's Candy Bar reminds me of a candy shop every child dreams of. It sells different types of candy: bubble gum, chewing gum, chocolate bars, chocolate covered nuts and raisons, toffees, chewy fruit flavored candies. Any type of candy one can think or dream of, it has a place here. My wildest dream came true: I found my name on a small chocolate candy bar! Yes! I feel so validated! Too many times I've tried to find my name on a small, personalized license plate, key chain, cup, pen, or anything personal. I felt so elated when I found a candy bar with my name on it! That being the highlight of my visit, I purchased the candy bars and walked further around. Decorated with large lollipops, the place looks very colorful and fun. We had fun taking pictures. I will definitely come back here when I have a chance to!

4 stars for this whimsical candy boutique offering an endless variety of gummies, fancy schmancy chocolates, sweets, sours, and even retro goodies guaranteed to evoke feelings of nostalgia. The decor is bright, inviting, and so very beautiful. As part of their marketing ploy, the establishment is riddled with cute|fun packaging everywhere you turn. You are able to fill these packages with sweets making for great souvenirs|presents. Items for sale are forever changing so Dylan's definitely keeps you on your toes and provides you with that suspense factor. There is no doubt in my mind that you'll find something to satisfy all of your random cravings but it doesn't come without a price. The cost can be pretty steep but self-control is key and if possible, trick yourself into thinking "a little goes a long way". Known as being the "world's largest candy store" this Dylan's Candy Bar location took it up a notch by adding an ice cream shop. It's diabetes waiting to happen all under one roof!! Cheers to never growing up and the endless sugary possibilities.

Dylan's candy back is a gimmick candy shop of candies of all sorts. Its fun to visit once or twice, but i felt that it is geared more towards children. I didn't really find anything that I wanted to purchase, but it was fun to look around. I did stop by the ice cream section of the store. They have an outside window and a line inside. I was at the front of the inside line with about 6 people behind me. People kept walking up to the outside part and the only person working kept helping them. It took me about 15 minutes to get one scoop of cookie dough.

Please avoid this business until they teach their employee "Joey" how to work with customers. She is very unpleasant and demeaning.

I'm a chocoholic but ended up throwing a Dylan bar away after one bite...very very poor quality....wouldn't buy even if stranded on an island. You've been warned!

Okay, so in March I placed an online order from Dylan's Candy Bar for Chocolate Covered Graham crackers, because I like the store at The Grove, but because of COVID-19 I couldn't get there. This is what I got: a congealed melted block of chocolate crackers. And I ordered TWO boxes. BOTH boxes were like this. I wasn't going to say anything but I emailed the company and I got no response. Nor did I get my money back. It's MAY. I know COVID-19 has made things rough, but if you're going to keep online orders, then as a business it is your duty to provide a quality product. This missed the mark and it seems like the company doesn't care. I won't order online ever again.

I was there on Saturday and Ilana was so helpful and kind. Anytime you go ask for her.

So many candies from past and present. You'll definitely find the candy for you here. Located at the edge of Farmer's Market right across the pedestrian walkway leading to The Grove. We got some unique gummy bears. White strawberry-banana gummy bears were tasty. The concord grape gummy bears were real good. I really like that flavor. The strawberry-banana sour belts are always good. I saw chocolates I grew up eating. They're called ICE CUBES. I totally forgot about them and I freaked when I saw them. I couldnt believe they still made them. I grabbed a handful and will look into buying a case. haha. Prices are kind of high. Almost $10 for half a pound's worth of various candies. That's too high IMO. Store is loud and colorful. There is an ice cream station towards the back. Customer service at checkout was friendly.

Friendly workers. Yummy treats. And the cutest design! I loved that the workers let you try a treat before buying them to make sure that you are going to like them. The chocolate covered Swedish fish is amazing!

This is one of the few candy stores that I love. Not only is there quality candy but Kathy and Louise were amazing. I was really bummed because strawberry puffs got discontinued, but Louise (I hope I remember her name correctly :/) offered me the closest thing to it. She didn't have to but she made my whole month. You see I was going in to treat myself for my birthday. I'm definitely gonna keep going back. The candy and staff are sweet :)

Terrible service. Ordered a milkshake with extra sprinkles, as you can see in the picture there's almost no sprinkles at all, I asked for more, she gave me, but her whole atitude, was annoying. The milkshake is $9 bucks, and is quite average, its good, but nothing I would be craving for. Anyway, this birthday party milkshake its just a lame party.

Came in not expecting much, went out having tried samples of the most delicious candy I've had in a long time. Candy stores usually leave me feeling sort of underwhelmed. The candy is often stale from having sat in the bins for so long. At Dylan's, the candy is so fresh! There's either really high turnover or really high quality control here. The pineapple gummi bears are really, really soft! Like little chewable heaven pieces. I don't know how they managed to make them taste so much like actual pineapple juice and not artificial pineapple flavor! This was by far the best candy I tried here. The milk chocolate raisins are soft and fresh as well! I was really surprised. Chocolate does not do well sitting in a bin for very long, so it must be quite new. The chocolate is smooth and the raisin was soft. These are my favorite candy to get anywhere, and you can taste the quality in these almost instantly. Peach hearts were another great find. The texture of the sugar on the outside in contrast with the gummi inside was so nicely done, and the consistency was perfect. The peach flavor could easily stray towards the chemical, but it miraculously tastes almost like peach juice. The best. After trying so many different types of really great candy, I wondered if they make all their own candy. They must, otherwise I'm not sure how else they could get candy of such high quality. I felt I could try pretty much anything here and not be disappointed. Can you hear the amazement in my post? It's because I'm surprised it doesn't suck!

Dylan's candy bar is a haven for sweet tooth's, children, fairies, manchilds, grandparents, and everyone. Wide selection of all sorts of candies, chocolates, cotton candy, milkshakes, etc. I've tried a couple of the candies here and they're all good, nothing special. The cotton candy machine was a wonderful addition to the place, it didn't use to have it. It's made right in front of you and you may customize it to your liking. Kids get a blast by having the magic dust turn into a stringy edible masterpiece. One thing Dylan's does exceptionally well is the smell of the place. Idk if all candy stores smell like this one but yeah, once those giant doors fly open, I get a whiff of angels passing gas all over the place. That scent tickles my nose every time and it almost makes me go spend money in there... almost. Takes some real self control to do this

LOVED the ambiance and fun atmosphere, the packing and different choices. The pricing was even ok on a lot of things but highly marked up in others. I got what I wanted, (my specialty candies), and left knowing where to buy the same other overpriced candy's at a regular store for a fraction of the price. My only negative distractions were being told to cover my nose with my mask, (I have an actual as l medical condition). I then watched the same employee watch another person walk right between us wearing their mask on their chin and she proceeded to start a conversation with her fellow employee with not understanding why people don't just wear their masks assuming I ( or the other person who she didn't care to also ask to put there mask fully covering their nose & mouth) couldn't hear her. I continued patronizing the store that employed her when businesses are going out everywhere even though I thought her behavior at this time is uneducated and rude and unprofessional. Employees should keep political views silent or at home. Some people really do have medical conditions and are still supporting your businesses that in turn can employ you- talking trash about them can hurt your business as well as their feelings. It's not cool.

I couldn't resist not going into this store walking in The Grove! Wall to wall candy! I wasn't sure where I should start so I just kinda browsed around. The music they had playing were updated and remixed versions of the songs from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. What a way to put you in the mood to gorge out. I ended up buying some Dark Chocolate covered Cashews sold by the pound, some super dark chocolate squares neatly boxed up, and some sugary Cake Batter Crunch Popcorn. Everything tasted amazing, especially the popcorn. Wish I could go back again.

Great candy but even sweeter, Dylan's has the very best customer service that I have received since pre-pandemic. I absolutely love Dylan's Candy Bar at the Farmer's Market on 3rd St. in Los Angeles. A must eat treat whenever you are in the area. Get your candy on !

Love the Sour Gummy Balls Candy , Dark Chocolate Bars, Chocolate Gummy Bears, the Retro Violet gum and the packaged Variety Gummy bears. We had great customer service too. They helped us locate candy. My son thought he lost something there and they helped us look for it. We're coming back soon!

I stumbled across some lego gummy candy online that I just had to have for my son's birthday party this weekend but I was afraid to order on the website because I didn't know where they were shipping from and if they would arrive in time. I noticed they had a location in LA which is about an hour from me so I gave them a call. Ilana helped me out, she found the candy I wanted and gave me a fair price to ship them out right away. They arrived less than 24 hours later and they are SO CUTE! Even the UPS driver was raving about the candy when he saw who the package was from. Can't wait for my son and the kids at the party to see them. And hopefully to visit the candy shop next time I'm in LA, it looks adorable. Thank you Ilana!

It's like a candy store for kids! Lol Plenty of candy to go around. They got really good gummy style candy selection here! Kids dream.

Positively the last place we needed to be, but my granddaughter had her sights set after finishing a great brunch at 189 by Dominique Ansel. Needed a sugar hit, I guess. Having been there before, my daughter-in-law was able to navigate Gabi and Even effortlessly. No mean feat since this place has every candy you have ever heard of and some you haven't. The store is clean, bright and well organized and one of the nicest candy stores I have ever entered. We escaped with minor damage and the prices were not bad at all. Four stars for an establishment that knows what they are good at and flaunts it in your face!

How do you go to grove and not come here. It's expensive here. But they have everything imaginable. Bins & bins of different candies. From chocolate covered everything to gummies! They have shelves of candy bars, and starburst. Lollipop stands, gums, sour everythings! Also in the far back of the store they serve these massive cotton candies. I swear it's bigger than a toddler. All of your candy craves you'll definitely find here. I never leave without my bag!

This is without a doubt one of the cutest candy stores I have ever been into. It's a chain that you can find in most major U.S cities, however this was the first one that I was lucky enough to visit. Everything is adorable. The physical appeal and design are the best parts. They have just about any kind of candy you can think of, organized all around the store. I nearly died and went to heaven when I walked in to see a section of candy related to Mean Girls.. They also have an ice cream shop attached in the back to offer more for your sweet tooth. I have stopped here every time I'm at The Grove and I'll make sure to carry on that tradition. :)

This place is always a colorful stop for us when we are in the area. Farmer's Market, Grove, Studios for show tapings, etc. Love it. One star off because it is pricey and a I am little shocked each time that my wee bag of selections is $32-33. I get the one raised eyebrow look from hubby as he hands over our Visa with a little bit of restraint. HA! MY TREATS! I need my candies! The candies are always super fresh. Delicious. Great selection. Tons of sours and different gummy bears, my first choices. Hard to find hot jalapeno gummies too. I crave them all the time. The frog gummies. The peach penguins... I keep them all in the fridge as I prefer to eat them cold. Many kids in here of course. Staff do try their best to keep the floors clean. Counter staff has always been alright with us. Many gift choices. Cool, retro candy. I cannot give it less stars as it is one of my fave places in this fabulous location.

You can get GIANT rainbow cotton candy here for a decent price! A fun spectacle seeing people walking around with it! Price is surprising since the rest of the stuff there can be pricy although very candylicious! Anna was working the cotton candy wheel that day which also happened to be Mothers day and she was so sweet and gave me and my daughter a fluffy sample! She is a testement to their amazing friendly customer service which incidentally can be hard to find in LA. Thanks Anna you made my day!

And her candy selection is a hit and the presentation is fantastic. Located at The Grove, just by the adjoining Farmer's Market, Dylan's is a candy store's candy store. In addition to very fresh by-the-quarter-pound bags of everything imaginable, there is a whole throwback section with candies from your baby and teen time. Plus tons of gift items and creative candy packaging. Great gifts for a candy lover packed up in the distinctive Dylan's bag. There's a lucite Dylan's briefcase filled with candy I hope someone will buy me some day. A must-stop for any Grove visitor.

Impeccable customer service from the employees behind the counter. They helped me find the sour belts I was looking for and even let me sample some before making a purchase. They later tie them nicely to look like a gift bag. Unfortunately, my candy had a pungent odor when I later ate it. Either the bulk bins have not been washed for awhile or the candy has been sitting there for a long time. Therefore, the candy and bulk bins accumulate an odor that made it unbearable for me to eat the sour belts anymore. Alas, I just discarded the remaining sour belts from my bag. Such a shame and waste.

Bright colorful candies as far as the eye can see and loud music? It's my teenage self's dream come true. Dylan's Candy Bar is located at the Grove and is a delight if you enjoy candy. Of course if you're diabetic, you might want to stay away. You can buy by the ounce here, as most of the candy is weighed. They have the usual suspects like M&Ms, gummy bears, jelly beans but they also carry some unique candies as well. You can buy fancy plastic containers with your name on them to fill them up with candy to your heart's content. They make it easy to personalize each candy gift. There are sales associates on hand to answer any questions you might have but you really are a "kid in a candy store." Enjoy!

Ordered the Sour Tackle Box and bulk S'mores for a gift. S'mores we're good. Sour Tackle Box was awful. Candy was hard, and stale. Contacted the company, the sent a replacement (same as the first box), also hard and stale. Not worth the price.

They don't have French Mints and they didn't know what they were, but that's ok, I really shouldn't be eating them anyway. We found lots of Harry Potter candy but it was $$$$, part of that was because it's Harry Potter (licensing costs) but then the other part was the store location, and the store itself is just hype. I mean $7.49 for a half pound of gummy worms, that's a lot...The upside to that was it was much easier for me to say no and for my kid to just not ask because she would rather have something else. So thanks!
