What to Eat in Sacramento’s Little Saigon

"This is one of those liquid nitrogen-cooled rolled ice cream spots, but it also serves fresh-squeezed nuoc mia (sugar cane juice), either plain for jazzed up with fruit. Nuoc mia is a common roadside treat in Vietnam, and it’s frothy and only lightly sweet, with a pleasant vegetal undertone. Try it with an add-in of lime, durian or, best of all, kumquat. It’s a cooling treat to combat blazing (though less humid than Vietnam) Sacramento summers." - Becky Grunewald

Went on a random Tuesday night after a concert and the owner welcomed our group with top tier service. I believe there is new ownership since 2 months ago. We ordered skewers, chicken wings, fried rice, pot stickers and each bite was full of flavor. You can tell the owner & chef took pride in their quality of food. We also experienced the VIP karaoke room and loved the convenience of a bathroom there. Our group had a blast and had top tier experience. Highly recommend to everyone who wants a fun karaoke night out! Thank you for your hospitality!

I think this place is great. Contrary to other reviews, they have a system with preloaded songs, but they also leave a tablet in the room for you to cast from YouTube if they dont have a song that you want. Super great especially with all of the strict copyright laws from American labels. I love that they also sell drinks, food, snacks, and boba. 😁

Room we got for a party of 9 was nice. We were able to connect our phones to find songs through YouTube. Food is terrible. Hot wings were just fried wings with sirachi drizzled on top. Frozen veggie egg rolls with no sauce . They gave us ketchup for it. Fries were decent but not worth your money. Go eat elsewhere then come here.

Whoa man, what issues DONT I have at this place? Or no, not even at the place, considering my experiences with them have been so incredibly horrid that I haven’t been able to GO there!! First of all, their “hours” listing is a blatant lie! I very vividly remember looking it up around three months ago and it VERY CLEARLY stating that that day they opened at 3 PM. I showed up at 3 PM, and they weren’t open. So, I called and guess what? The call operator said that they actually opened at SIX PM! Talk about false advertising. Now, because of this, I don’t even know if I can trust the listing on Google Maps that they open at 10 AM! And if you’re wondering, “oh why don’t you call and ask them?” I TRIED! I called them a total of 7 times, at varying times of day when it’s supposed to be open, and not ONCE did anyone pick up! So, I can’t even have my questions answered! In conclusion, FIX YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! (and also your advertising if possible to make things absolutely crystal clear because my seven year old was VERY excited to go here, and was thus very disappointed when he couldn’t)

Went their for their opening and man, this place did not disappoint!! The rooms were cool, plenty of seating and giant TV's. Food was delicious and the staff was super friendly. Definitely a spot me and the friends will come back too.

Songs that have not been played before require download so thats a bit inconvenient since you gotta spend your precious time waiting. Luckily they let you go on youtube using a provided tablet. The tablet itself lags but the songs dont which is nice. The place is new so it was missing a door for what looks like an employees only area. Not really a negative thing but not a positive. The rooms are not soundproof at all. From the lounge I can actually hear people singing. And as you can imagine, being inside your own room other peoples music can be heard. So god forbid someone BLASTS their music like my nextdoor neighbor did. The rooms felt cramped but to be fair we had 7 people in a standard room. Not to mention the room was very humid. There was no a/c unit for the room. It got pretty sweaty for my friends and i within an hour. And we stayed for 3. But the room has nice qualities. The sofas are new, the lighting inside is fun and they even have a light dimmer to control the lights The food is great and you are even allowed to eat/drink inside which is supposed to be the standard of a karaoke spot. I recommend the popcorn chicken. Its not spicy and its juicy and soft. The chicken gyoza was nice. The fries too. The food is really tasty. They have a ramen and hope to try that too next time. The drinks however were limited. They basically primarily had boba. So if youre not fond of that youre KINDA screwed. They have canned soda but thats $2.50 a soda. Keep in mind we were in a humid room and needed drinks and not many of my friends drank boba. They also have beer and energy drinks too. But im scared of what those prices could be if a canned coke was $2.50. Not to mention they only had coke and sprite. The food itself though is decently priced and offers you a standard and large sizing with only about a $3 difference between the two. But i ordered all large so i dunno the size difference. And they have a big food menu! Overall it was a fun experience despite the humid nonsoundproof rooms. But really it was more the people i was with that made the fun. Its cool they lend you a tablet for youtube. The staff was decently friendly too. Its definitely a place to try out at least since the spot is so convenient. As well as its near a shopping plaza with nice shops and restaurants

Google
It was alright. It didn't have preloaded songs so it was a karaoke with YouTube. Pretty cool, at least you don't have to wonder if they have a song you want. Also the internet never lagged so no waiting on the songs to load.
