2 Days in Kraków

"If you are curious to try out Polish wines (did you know there are more than 500 wineries in Poland?), then why not stroll over to Dzikie Wino Wine Bar after lunch? This charming wine bar in the very centre of the Old Town is housed in the historical rooms of a 16C townhouse and – in good weather – spills out onto its quaint patio. “Dzikie Wino” means “Wild Wine” and, as the name suggests, it sells low-intervention wines from boutique producers around Europe, but it also stocks a good deal of wine made in Poland. Many Polish winemakers work with so-called hybrid grapes that are often more resilient to harsh climate conditions but also have their own unique flavour profiles: wine enthusiasts, take note!" - The MICHELIN Guide

I went to a couple of different wine bars in Krakow and this was by far the nicest one. I ended up going back a few times because I liked it so much, it’s the only place I found where you can get champagne by the glass. They also had lovely food plates and the staff were efficient and friendly. I hope to go back next time I’m in Krakow!

The courtyard has a charming Italian vibe, and every table buzzes with lively conversation. It’s self-service here – which actually makes it even better. You can fully enjoy your evening without interruptions and stay in control of the flow.

Considering its central location, dzikie wino bar offers a wonderful secluded square. Cool, calm and tranquil, just far enough from the chaos of the main square. Wine by the glass selection is good and fairly priced, with small plates to complement the wines. Good selection of Polish wines, alongside old world classics. We didn’t need to book, and found a table for two easily in the evening.

Nice place for drink at the end of the day. They have a wide range of bottles, so it will be easy to find a type of wine that you like. Wine for a single glass is a different story as the selection is much smaller (as it is usual in these cases). Food is a bit more limited, it's more of a place to snack rather than to have a meal. Downside: they don't provide a way to keep the wine cool. So, if you have a bottle for 2 people it will inevitably get warm (on a hot day) as you cannot drink it quickly enough

Great selection of polish natural wine! But the prices are a bit too high. Especially for the bottle shop. Big minus that they only offers plats (cheese/meat/mixed) for 2 persons. It would be nice if you could get a half one if you visit as a single guest.

A nice wine bar with a lovely garden, perfect for summer gatherings with your loved ones. Offers a wide selection of international wines. Surely recommend as a frequent visitor!

Lovely place, very quiet and peaceful in the busy city center.

We found this place by chance while walking around the center of Kraków, but it made a huge impression on us. It is located deep in one of the courtyards of the old city, it is very quiet and atmospheric, especially this small fountain in the center and many green plants. The place itself has an extensive wine list and it is possible to order some dishes. A great place to take a break away from the city bustle, while still being in the center. I recommend visiting here on a warm summer day.
