I stopped in the speedy looking bar the other night and it felt just like home. It's the kind of place that you swear that you have been in a hundred times or more... I sat right down at the bar and ordered a fine, local fizzy water that was nice and cool and crisp. Random groups of people started arriving and everyone immediately clicked, and it was a pleasure to be there and experience the synchronicity... it felt like were all a part of something bigger... with a greater purpose than just drinking, one of reflection and appreciation, and a general celebration of life. Maybe it was the inspiring tone of Balboa on the screen as he watched his best friend die, and you could see the resolve in his eyes and how determined he was to make it right. I left the bar and it felt good to have been there, with those people during that time. It was the right place to be, and it will be the right place to be again, the next time I am near there and am thirsty for more than liquid refreshment. And what I mean by that is, when my soul needs to find its center, which is always, so I will be by there again soon.
